ORA-01403: no data found ORA-06512: in SYSMAN.MGMT_CREDENTIAL

Hi all,
I'm trying to configure grid agent 10.2.0.5 on Windows server 2008 (x64).
One step is to configure host credentials in GRID enterprise manager.
When I put those credentials (user and password) I recive the following error:
ORA-01403: no data found ORA-06512: in "SYSMAN.MGMT_CREDENTIAL"
File emoms.trc shows the following:
2010-09-15 12:21:10,152 [EMUI_12_21_10_/console/pref/setCredentials$targetType=oracle*_emd] ERROR creds.SetPrefCreds saveCreds.1478 - SetPrefCreds.saveCreds(): SQLException: ORA-01403: no data found
ORA-06512: in "SYSMAN.MGMT_CREDENTIAL", line 1491
ORA-06512: in "SYSMAN.MGMT_CREDENTIAL", line 1588
ORA-06512: in line 1
In order to perform the deploy of the Agent for MS SQL Server it is mandatory to set host/agent credentials
I could not find anything in MetaLink.
Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance.

If you search in MOS for: ORA-06512: in "SYSMAN.MGMT_CREDENTIAL"
you will find 9 hits.
Could be a number of things.
1- target server does not have a FQDN but only short name. Check your targets.xml file on de target server if the server has a short or long name.
Can you ping the OMS server by ip-address, short name, FQDN from the target server. From the OMS server can you ping the target server by ip,short name and FQDN?. If not check your hosts file or DNS.
2- Is the host user giving the problem or is it the SYDBA user? Is the SYSDBA user granted sysdba rights?
3- Is the DBConsole agent running also on the target?
4- Other?
If 1:
Drop all targets from the target server in OMS (drop the agent as the last one)
Stop the agent
set oma_home= <path to agent_home>
/ should be \
del %OMA_HOME%/sysman/emd/state/*
del %OMA_HOME%/sysman/emd/collection/*
del %OMA_HOME%/sysman/emd/upload/*.xml
del %OMA_HOME%/sysman/emd/lastupld.xml
del %OMA_HOME%/sysman/emd/agntstmp.txt
del %OMA_HOME%/sysman/emd/blackouts.xml
On the target server run: agentca -f

    Can you check the following ?
    a. Hopefully the when you execute the procedure using sql tool it works fine and returns data.
    b. Is there any input parameter available for procedure ?
    c. IF yes, is the parameter is mapped with the procedure parameter and populated with value before calling the procedure ?
    d. In the audit trial, you can see from the invoke activity to see whether the parameter is populated with value or not ?
    e. Check the input parameter by executing the procedure with sql tool to see whether this request is receiving any data in return or not ?
    Thanks,

    It will be wise to run the Oracle supply streams health check script to check your existing streams environment.
    From the result, you can also open a tar with Oracle to see if they can help you with the setup.
    In addition to the ORA-01403 error, you can also run some of the Oracle Streams packages (Managing Apply Errors) to see the full detail of what is missing that caused the Ora-01403 error.
    I will also try to implement a smoke test using the simple heartbeat table suggested by Oracle Streams, if that is working, then you can begin your full scale setup in your environment knowing that the base Streams Structure is setup correctly.

    This is a PL/SQL error, it occurs when a cursor (SQL statement) is called and returned no values, typically you should have an exception handler in the PL/SQL to mange this. But sometimes you want the PL/SQL to fail.
    The parameters you are using to invoke the PL/SQL procedure returned no values, therefore to fix provide information that does return values, or in the PL/SQL put an exception handler in to manage the no-data-found error, e.g.
    begin
      Select ...
      Into ..
      From ..
      Where ..
    Exception
      when no_data_found then
    end;cheers

  • When merging workspace I get ORA-01403: no data found error in WMSYS.LT

    Hi,
    I am investigating an error in a remote system with very little info to go on apart from a stacktrace! This is what it says:
    java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01403: no data found
    ORA-06512: at "WMSYS.LT", line 6028
    ORA-06512: at line 1
    The context is an attempt to merge a child workspace into LIVE (LIVE being its direct parent).
    it is on Oracle Database 11.1.0.7.
    Can you advise what this error means? I am unable to dig deeper into it because the PL-SQL source code for WMSYS.LT is wrapped.
    thanks
    Simon

    Hi,
    Are you able to get a standard trace of the error from the remote database? ora-1403 errors can come from a number of places, so an errorstack trace is usually needed to determine the cause.

  • Deferred transaction fails due to a "ORA-01403: no data found" error

    I recently acticated replication between two Oracle instances.
    (one being the master definition site and the other one being
    a second master site).
    Everything was going well until two weeks ago, when i realized
    that some datas were different between the two Oracle instances.
    I tried to figure out why and found that some deferred transation
    failed to propagate due to a "ORA-01403: no data found" error.
    Not all transaction fail, only a few.
    All the errors are stored in the DEFERROR table of the second
    master site, the DEFERROR table is empty in the master definition
    site.
    For every error, the source is the master definition site and the
    destination is the second master site, which is OK because the
    second master site is supposed to be "read-only". But why are the
    errors stored in the DEFERROR table of the second master site
    (and not in the master definition site (the source)).
    Most errors occur on UPDATE statements but a few of them occur
    on DELETE statements. Given the fact that the record actually is
    in the second master site, how is it possible to get a
    "ORA-01403: no data found" error on a delete statement ???????
    I can't figure out what data cannot be found,
    Thanks for your help,
    Didier.

    What if i tell you the first transaction in error is an UPDATE
    statement on a record that actually is in the destination table
    in the second master site. So the data is there, it should be
    found ...
    I've tried an EXECUTE_ERROR on that very first transaction
    in error but it doesn't work. Here's the call (as repadmin) :
    begin
    DBMS_DEFER_SYS.EXECUTE_ERROR (
    DEFERRED_TRAN_ID => '6.42.271',
    DESTINATION => 'AMELIPI.SENAT.FR'
    end ;
    And here's the full message :
    ORA-01403: no data found
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_DEFER_SYS_PART1" line 430
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_DEFER_SYS" line 1632
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_DEFER_SYS" line 1678
    ORA-06512: at line 2
    I thought it could be because the primary key constraint on the
    destination table wasn't activated but it was. Could it
    be a problem with the corresponding index ?
    Thanks for your help,
    Didier.

    I am populating a PL/SQL table(Array) with the data. From that array inserting into a Actual table. Before inserting am checking array count. Array count is greater than 0. But I am getting "ORA-01403: no data found" exception. I am not getting why this error is displaying.
    Please someone help me. Below is the code.
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE XXDL_TEST_INSERT
    IS
    BEGIN
       IF  t_array.count> 0 THEN
        FND_FILE.PUT_LINE (FND_FILE.LOG, t_array.count);
        FOR i IN t_array.FIRST..t_array.LAST
        LOOP
            INSERT INTO XXDL_TEST
            VALUES(t_array(i).name )
      END LOOP;
    END IF;
    EXCEPTION
      WHEN OTHERS THEN
        FND_FILE.PUT_LINE (FND_FILE.LOG,SQLERRM);
    END;Thanks
    Alaka

    It looks like your Array is sparsely populated:

    You should also be using the FORALL syntax with INDICES OF. Check out The Docs

  • ORA-01403: no data found   when displaying a value from an   array

    I have a very simple pl/sql procedure like below which gives an error
    SQL> exec p_ks2;
    BEGIN p_ks2; END;
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-01403: no data found
    ORA-06512: at "KINASE.P_KS2", line 21
    ORA-06512: at line 1
    if i uncomment the for loop the procedure works ... the loop has nothing to do with my array or what i am doing after it..
    could anyone help me to understand why i need a loop like that or what i am doing wrong when i am not having the loop there.
    ---- procedure
    CREATE OR REPLACE
    PROCEDURE p_ks2 as
    TYPE mdata IS TABLE OF number INDEX BY BINARY_INTEGER;
    data1 mdata;
    k integer;
    m number;
    begin
    data1(1) := 10;
    data1(2) := 20;
    data1(3) := 30;
    data1(4) := 40;
    data1(5) := 50;
    k :=3;
    --for mm in 10..11
    --loop
    -- m := mm;
    --end loop;
    dbms_output.put_line('value of data(' || k || '): ' || data1(k));
    end;
    /

    here is what i am trying.. when i do not have the for loop it fails. when I have the for loop it works eventhough for loop is really not doing anything related to my array.
    and in 10.x both works without error.
    I noticed you have the for loop uncommented when you posted the screen. Did it work when you have commented those lines out?

  • Error ORA-01403 no data found upgrade database to 10.2.0.3

    Hi,
    I am upgrading a database from 8.1.7.4 to 10.2.0.3. I install the software and i create and configure a new listener. When i am try to execute database upgrading assintant i can see my two databases but when i click one of them, and click next the error appears:
    ORA-01403 no data found
    ORA-06512 at line 1560
    I don´t know the reason.
    Thanks for your help.

    Going by your [earlier thread|http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=852649&tstart=0], I presume that it is you are now able to connect to a database using the 10.2.0.3 oracle_home.
    Did you run through the pre-upgrade verification steps at the URL provided earlier ?
    If you are encountering an error, surely you can post which script and which procedure is failing ?

    I created a trigger on a table "CHILD" which fires during UPDATE statement. As you may notice, the trigger raises "no data found" exception which is not handled as a result the update ends up with an error.
    Similar is your case, investigate the trigger to resolve the issue.

  • ORA-01403: no data found  -  refresh after insert on view

    Hi all,
    I have problems with refresh after insert on view and i override this method on my xxDefImpl.java
    public boolean isUseReturningClause() {
    return false;
    Anyway what it does is to substitute the RETURNIN INTO to
    SELECT ID INTO ? FROM MY_VIEW WHERE ID=?; END;".
    And this gives me the error
    ORA-01403: no data found ORA-06512: at line 1
    Because i'm tryint to insert on my view with ID = -1
    And then the view and the my triggers make it happen to became a real ID.
    The thing is that i need to refresh my ID after insert and it runs this select with -1 and it finds no data of course because the trigger on the view and on my tables transformed it in a real ID .
    DO u know what's missing?

    See section 26.5 Basing an Entity Object on a Join View or Remote DBLink in the ADF Developer's Guide for Forms/4GL Developers for the additional tip I believe you're missing about marking a unique attribute as well.
    You can find the guide on the ADF Learning Center on OTN here:

    There was mention of ORA-01403: no data found in trouble shooting hrglobal and this is what it says :
    If you install the post install steps while the product is installed in shared
    mode, you will receive errors such as:
    ORA-1403 : no data found
    throughout the installation. You will also probably notice that DataInstall
    will not load any seeded legislative data (via hrglobal) if the products are
    not fully installed.
    I am not clear with this if this is the reason for my error.
    Help needed. Thank you.

    Hi;
    Helius: I did take a look at the doc and that is not it. I have logged an SR. Thank you all for your help. I am still researching into the causes.Correct the note which we posted here not mention exact error you are hitting, but we shared at least they can give you some hints and you can retest your issue

  • How to resolve "ORA-01403: no data found"

    When i attempt to delete from a table on which an after delete trigger is defined, i get exception as follows;
    OracleException was unhadled by user code:

    Here is my trigger:
    Note: Before i added block -ELSIF DELETING THEN- it was working fine, yet now it throws that exception somehow. Since i am not new to oracle, i just couldn't figure out. Thanks...

    Row Triggers in the manual.Thanks a lot.
    Using REFERENCING NEW AS newRow and OLD AS oldRow and ...=:oldRow.detaykod; I handled it, however it just doesn't assign other parameters in delete query, thus it deletes only when t.ihlaltktgkodu=:oldRow.IHLALTKTGKODU; in the delete query and ,gnore the rest.
    Although i assign the values of the parameters -srktkodu,ihlkodu- and make an successfull insert in the insert query, i just cannot in the delete. Why?
    Right here :
    select t2.srktkodu, t2.ihlkodu into srktkodu,ihlkodu from ihale_katilinanihale t2 where t2.detaykod=:oldRow.detaykod;
    DELETE FROM ihale_katilimcilar t WHERE t.srktkodu=srktkodu and t.ihlkodu=ihlkodu and t.ihlaltktgkodu=:oldRow.IHLALTKTGKODU;
