You need verify if Oracle 8i is compatible with this feature from Oracle 9i. Make a test from client machine using client 9i.

When using Family Sharing, it appears that all family members have the ability to lock and erase all devices that are linked to the family account. This does not seem very secure. For example, I wouldn't want my disgruntled family member to arbitrarily lock or erase devices, remotely.
If you're using iTunes Match you might want to post this question over in the iTunes match forum:https://discussions.apple.com/community/itunes/itunes_match. They may be able to help you over there.

My entire TV show library does not appear when using home sharing to ipad
I've tried everything to get my entire library to show when using home sharing on the ipad but it only displays the shows under letter A to the beginning of F. Is there a limit on the seasons that can be displayed? Im streaming from itunes on a PC.
I figured out my own problem. Thanks dmule you're a genius. All I had to do was turn off home sharing on my iPad and then turn it back on. Now all the video art work matches their proper movies.

When using home sharing, sometimes getting a message that it's not an authorized computer.
You need to authorise the computer you sync with your wife's Apple ID. Then you can copy the app from her itunes to your own by using home sharing

Error when using Home Sharing in iTunes 9
I'm constantly getting the following error when trying to add songs using the new Home Sharing in iTunes 9.
"There was a problem dowloading [song name]. The length received from the server did not match the expected length."
Any ideas on why this is happening and how to get it to work?Hello cacalenni,
Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. I understand that you wish to learn how to import songs using Home Sharing in the new iTunes. The following resource should assist you in doing so:

Launchd cancels logout/restart and kills app when using screen sharing
I have an app I want to always run so I created a LaunchDaemon to keep it going:
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
<key>Label</key>
<string>com.sns.sentinel.air</string>
<key>KeepAlive</key>
<true/>
<key>ProgramArguments</key>
<array>
<string>sh</string>
<string>/Applications/oc4j/restartSentinel.sh</string>
</array>
<key>RunAtLoad</key>
<true/>
</dict>
</plist>
And restartSentinel.sh is very simple:
echo Process Sentinel.app is being restarted...
open -W /Applications/oc4j/j2ee/home/applications/Sentinel/Sentinel.app;
Everything seems to be fine but I have to access this machine via screen sharing. Then when I log in, the app gets shut down and only restarted a few minutes later. Also, when another user logs in, they are not able to log off. Launchd seems to cancel the restart.
I do also have two other plist files running other things but they seem to work okay (they don't crash, but the one which needs to be kept alive (code is almost the same as above) also seems to be preventing log out for users other than me).
So how can I get launchd to let people use screen sharing without killing the app and how can I get it to stop canceling logot/restart?Try the Unix forum (not thread) under OS X Technologies.

ORA-03113 when using connect by in a report query ?
Hi,
Oracle 10g r2, ApEx 4.0.2.
I have a classic report on page zero, I need the following query to display my data :
select
distinct '<input class="radio_report_search_photos" name="radio_selected_photo" type="radio" />' as "Sel",
phot_id,
phot_description,
'<img alt="" id="thumb_'||phot_id||'" class="clickable_thumb" src="#OWNER#.show_photo?v_id_photo='||phot_id||'" />' as "Thumb",
substr(SYS_CONNECT_BY_PATH(kw_text, ', '),3) keyword_list
from
select
phot_id,
phot_description,
kw_id,
kw_text,
pkw_kw_id,
pkw_phot_id,
count(*) OVER(partition by phot_id ) cnt,
ROW_NUMBER() OVER(partition by phot_id order by kw_text) seq
from
photos,
photos_keywords,
keywords
where
phot_id = pkw_phot_id
and pkw_kw_id = kw_id
and contains(kw_text,nvl(:P0_SEARCH_PHOTO_KW,'%')) > 0
where
seq = cnt
start with
seq = 1
connect by prior
seq+1 = seq
and prior
phot_id = phot_idIt works great when executing from any software. I get the expected results.
But yhen I try to put it in the report region source, I get an ORA-03113 when I apply changes...
It works if I remove CONNECT BY PRIOR and SYS_CONNECT_BY_PATH from the query.
Why ?
Thanks.

ORA-01194 and ORA-00604 when using backup controlfile set #2
Database version Oracle 11.2.0.1
Enterprise Linux 5.4
Database is in archivelog mode.
I'm trying to recover a database according to set #2 of a backup controlfile to trace. Creating the controlfile works fine, but recovering the database fails.
From what I can gather, the recovery fails because it cannot roll forward - sequence 39 is in the missing online redo logfile. However, the database is opened with the restlogs option, and I understand that it should use the archivelogs in order to roll backwards. Since this is a new controlfile it does not know about archivelogs, but it does not accept to register or use any archivelog files.
The recovery as outlined in set #2 does not seem to work as advertised. Any ideas?
Following errors:
SQL> CREATE CONTROLFILE REUSE DATABASE "RCAT" RESETLOGS ARCHIVELOG etc.

Tyring to register on of the archivelogs does not work:

MarkusSpecifying sequence 39 results in the same error message, which is what is what it tries to apply when using "recover until cancel" and typing cancel. But the problem is that sequence 39 was in the online redologs, which were not archived yet.

Monitor/mange users when using 'Internet Sharing'
Good day,
I use a HUAWEI USB key modem to connect to the internet with my MBA when in class. Since one of our lecture rooms is not covered on the campus wifi network I often turn on Internet Sharing in class and bridge my HSDPA connection to my classmates (Small class, I know them all).
Anyways today I wanting to monitor each user's usage as I caught one of my classmates downloading a 2GB file (I'm on an unlimited plan (soft cap of 40GB) so its not quota that I'm worried about, it just slowed the rest of us for the better part of an hour). Instead of being confrontational in class, and instead of booting everyone off the network I was wondering if anyone knew of a user management tool I could use to monitor those using the shared connection my notebook is broadcasting.
Many thanks!
SamI guess this question is bound for the depths of the apple discussion forum with all other thousands of unanswered questions.
