ORA-20001: Rem Unable to generate DDL
Hi,
I am getting the following message
ORA-20001: Rem Unable to generate DDL for ORA-20001: WWV_FLOW_GENERATE_DDL.SAVE_DDL_ERROR .
when I try to spawn DDL scripts for selected triggers.
Thanks,
Flavio
Hi, thanks for your reply.
Well, you're right, I was assuming this forum was dedicated to the on-line HTML DB trial environment, but probably is a more general one.
I can reproduce easily the problem by repeating the same request of generating the DDL for the last 4 triggers shown in the list, but there is little point in giving the details unless you can check the HTML DB trial environment. I mean, I don't know if this is a generic problem or something specific to my code, and I cannot try it elsewhere.
Thanks,
Flavio

Then i tried to create form and report on webservice:

I tick the checkbox (url)in report Parameter
After clicking next whereever required i click create button
I get the following error
ORA-20001: Unable to create form on table. ORA-02263: need to specify the datatype for this column.
Please someone help to solve this as i need to fix it urgently.i exported the application from apex.oracle.com and imported it to our environment
import went fine, but when I ran the IR page I got
ORA-20001: get_dbms_sql_cursor error ORA-00904: : invalid identifier
evidently the problem is a lack of public execute on DBMS_LOB, which is used in the generated IR source.
while waiting for the DBA to grant privs on DBMS_LOB, changing the dbms_lob.getlength call to length() fixes the IR.
however, i am not getting the download link on the associated form page... changed templates, that's not the issue -- we'll see if that's a dbms_lob issue as well -

Bug? - Getting "ORA-20001: Unable to create updateable report"
We have created hundreds of simple tabular reports, but have come across 3 tables that we cannot get past the following error for when finishing the last step of the create wizard:
ORA-20001: Unable to create updateable report. ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small
Error creating tabular form.
Return to application.
Here is the DDL for this table:
CREATE TABLE ancfx_test
(ANCFX_ID NUMBER(31,0) NOT NULL ENABLE,
APP_DTL_LVL_CD VARCHAR2(160),
NOTE_CALL_FR_TYP_CD VARCHAR2(15),
ANCFX_VOID_IND CHAR(1) DEFAULT 'n' NOT NULL ENABLE,
PCT_AUDT_USER_CREA VARCHAR2(30) DEFAULT 'PCT',
PCT_AUDT_DTM TIMESTAMP (6) DEFAULT SYSDATE
I have tried an alternate surrogate key, renaming the table, excluding the 160 character column etc., but not able to create this form.
Based on this and the many hundreds of unique tabular forms we have created, seems we may have run across a bug?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!Hi Scott,
Turns out we did reach some sort of limit in APEX regarding how many pages can be assigned to a tab as the current tab for assigned pages. We had around 750 or more pages listed under a given tab as the current tab for those pages, which apparently created a list of page numbers in a string presumably that exceeded the maximum size for a field somewhere in APEX apparently, thus the error about the character buffer being too small. Not only could we not create new pages, but we could not even view the tab page in the shared components area for this tab without getting the error, but could get into the tab page to view the page numbers assigned to the tab.
To get around this we had to remove all the page numbers that were listed for the tab as the current tab for those pages. Once that was done, everything was back to normal, although the tab in question is no longer shown as the current tab for any of those pages, which is not really a problem for us.
Anyway, seems Oracle may want to review any field limits that are related to page numbers assigned to a tab to be the current tab for those pages and consider doubling that limit. In our case, 785 pages were too many for this limit, and there were no messages that helped us deduce where this was coming from - just brute force trial and error to figure this one out. Since we have more pages to go, we might run into some limits elsewhere which I'll post here if so.

i did call the package in session state with dbms_session.set_nls('NLS_LANGUAGE','AMERICAN'); but still it shows the error in the report any solution pleaseHi Amrit
Can you put the FND_GLOBAL calls in a pre map trigger/process rather than as part of the map?

URGENT: Form Import FAILED with Unable to generate UI form: ORA-0650
I am importing application components from one installation of portal 3.0.9.8 to another installation. Both installed versions of POrtal are the same.
The application name is PROFILE_APP. I have created this same app with same specifications as in source, in the target portal instance.
To import, I am using the SQL scripts generated through portal using the "Export" feature available for each component.
I could successfully import LOV into this app from source to target by running the above generated SQL. When i run the SQL for the form component in the target - i get the following error :

The form worked successfully in the source instance.

Thank you,
Tanushree.Form CustomForm_791b1adc_97fd_4de1_a077_646a418fe59b extends form Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.ServiceManager.ChangeManagement.Forms.ChangeRequestForm, which already has another extension (CustomForm_3e2fd77f_cfed_40f9_9def_c6735078bf2a).
you already have a form customization that extends the change request form, and this MP is also importing a different customization to the same form. each form can only have one customization. -

Looks like there is a 127-column limit on the number of report columns supported when using that wizard. Do you have more than that?

ORA-20001: Unable to create query and update page.
I am using the wizard: Form on a table with report 2 pages. I do not change any of the values when using the wizard (just taking all default values)
I created over 10 pages successfully already.
When creating the one page, I received this error on clicking the 'Finish' button

Seems like it might be table related since I can continue and create more forms/reports on other tables.
Any help would be appreciated.336554,

Thanks for your time!Scott,
Thanks for taking the time to look into this for me. The problem was occuring in the help text section of the page. I ran a report to see if there were any others and there were about a half dozen that were the same problem. They all appeared to be the remnents of an apostrophe from what I can tell and the placement in the text. I immediately thought it was a problem with the upgrade from 2 to 2.2 since I didn't have any problems in the past seven months working with 2.0, but to my amazement I had those garbled characters in my exports from around the time I upgraded to 2.0. I'll never know when the errors occured because it looks like I added the help text around the dates that I upgraded from 1.6 to 2.0 .
Here is what it looked like while letting Apex render the page:

I am going to assume that ENTRY_DATE should be the date that the user created the record - otherwise, you will have to add this field to your form to get the user to fill it in.
You need to check how your DAILY_ENTRY_DETAILS table is set up.
Go to SQL Workshop, Object Browser and in the list of tables, select DAILY_ENTRY_DETAILS, then click on the SQL option above the table definition and you should see something like:
CREATE TABLE "A_LOV1"
( "LOV1" NUMBER,
"LOV1_NAME" VARCHAR2(100),
CONSTRAINT "A_LOV1_PK" PRIMARY KEY ("LOV1") ENABLE
CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER "BI_A_LOV1"
before insert on "A_LOV1"
for each row
begin
if :NEW."LOV1" is null then
select "A_LOV1_SEQ".nextval into :NEW."LOV1" from dual;
end if;
end;
ALTER TRIGGER "BI_A_LOV1" ENABLE
/(This is based on one of my tables, so the names etc will be different for you).
In the first block, the CONSTRAINT line tells you whether or not you have a primary key on the table - in the example above, the primary key field is LOV1. If this is not set up, you must do this - click on the Constraints option at the top of the page and click Create then follow the prompts.
The next block is a TRIGGER. This is set to run whenever a record is inserted into the table. A record being inserted is referred to as :NEW. You can see from the example that, in this case, when the record is being inserted, the value in the Primary Key is checked. If it is null, then a new sequence number is generated (see below) and the record is updated with this number before the record is saved.
The final block just switches the trigger on
You will see that this trigger says "select A_LOV1_SEQ.nextval...". This refers to a "sequence" object. Go back to the Object Browser and select Sequences. In my example, there is a sequence called A_LOV_SEQ which, if I select it and look at the sql, it is defined as:
CREATE SEQUENCE "A_LOV1_SEQ" MINVALUE 1 MAXVALUE 99999999999999999999999 INCREMENT BY 1 START WITH 1 NOCACHE NOORDER NOCYCLEThis is a counter that is used by the trigger to get the next Primary Key value for the record.
If you don't have the sequence, you will need to set it up. This can be done by clicking the Create button at the top right and following the prompts. Or you can copy the above, change the sequence name as required and then run this in the SQL Commands window
If you don't have the trigger, you can copy the code above and edit it to suit your table needs.
Now for the ENTRY_DATE issue. If this is to be automatically set to the current date, you can handle this in the trigger. For example - assume I had that field on my table, then my trigger would be:
CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER "BI_A_LOV1"
before insert on "A_LOV1"
for each row
begin
if :NEW."LOV1" is null then
select "A_LOV1_SEQ".nextval into :NEW."LOV1" from dual;
end if;
if :NEW."ENTRY_DATE" is null then
:NEW."ENTRY_DATE" := SYDATE;
end if;
end;
ALTER TRIGGER "BI_A_LOV1" ENABLE
/SYSDATE just means the current date/time
The CREATE and ALTER statements must be run separately in the SQL Commands window
Once you have that set up correctly, your form should work

when i am taking display as select list(named lov) it is throwing me the error "ORA-20001: Error fetching column value: ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small" but if i am taking display as "popup lov(named lov)" under tablular form element under one of the column in the report, it is working properly. but not shwoing the report the way we want it to show. Getting an error -ORA-20001: FLEX-ID DOES NOT EXIST in migrating Assignment
Hi,
I am working on migration of persons data (Person/Assignment ) etc. in Oracle HRMS. While migration of Assignments data I am getting an error: ORA-20001: FLEX-ID DOES NOT EXIST.
Please help me.

Edited by: user10939296 on Jul 9, 2009 1:21 AMThis error occurs as FLEX-ID for different combination for KFFs has not been generated. Therefore while migration your script is unable to fetch the Flex-id as they are not generated. You can work your way around by entering the possible combinations of KFFs for a single employee and eventually entering data for one employee manually.
eg. if for People Group Flexfield there are two segments A and B
A having LOV Corporate and Others
B having LOV Executive and Non Executive
Then you have to enter the possibilities from the frontend for one employee:
Corporate.Executive
Corporate.Non Executive
Others.Executive
Others.Non Executive
