ORA-2014 after upgrading to 3.0!

I use Apex with Views and Instead-Of-Triggers. After upgrading I have the problem, that my Automatic Row Processing (DML)-Processes now raise an exception.
I got an "ORA-02014: cannot select FOR UPDATE from view with DISTINCT, GROUP BY, etc." - Before upgrading I never saw this exception. I think that with 3.0 there is a new FOR UPDATE-Select built in this internal process. Is it right?

One could argue for some back door, where you tell Application Express "I don't want your optimisitic locking", but I feel that is a dangerous thing to expose.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but you have a conflict in your position. Either APEX allows us to "bypass" optimistic locking entirely (because we are building a tabular form on a view with a instead-of trigger that handles the optimistic locking) or it doesn't. You seem to disagree with bypass part but agree with the optimistic-locking-in-trigger part. We can't have it both ways in 3.0, can we?

Ora -1031 after upgrade to 10G

Hi,
After upgrading oracle to 10G, we have a problem with archiving redo logs and database backup. Backup and archiving fails when we try to start it with user system giving error 1031:insufficient privileges Determination of Oracle version failed.
We are running oracle on SAP and we use SAP tools brarchive and brbackup for this.
Does anyone have an idea about this?

I cannot open any photo in Photoshop CC 2014 after upgrade the application and drivers of video-card.

Since I have made an upgrade of Photoshop CC 2014 I got a lot of problems.
At first, I could not open any pictures in Photoshop. It works only if I disable "Use Graphic processor". I installed a new driver for my video-card, but it did not help. I use AMD FirePro V4800 for 10-bit colour.
I had to return the system to the restore point (before the upgrade), then it worked somehow, but not stable. ACR from time to time had a blue screen with a white cross.
Now I tried to install drivers for my video-card again, but it resulted in the same issue: Photoshop cannot open any photo. (Other converters and editors and also a new Lightroom work well).
I use Win7x64, i7 2600, 16 Gb RAM, two SSD's, AMD FirePro V4800. I have never had any problems before the upgrade. And I do not want to reinstall Photoshop because I would have to reinstall a lot of plug-ins, I have already lost a whole day.

Interestingly, when I spoke with Apple, I tried it in a new user account and the problem went away. Apple said to speak to Adobe which I have done and after deleting settings/prefs again the problem remained. Adobe say as it's fine in a new account then it's an Apple issue not Adobe.
I did find a workaround for now though, when using file - open, set it to list view instead of column view - this fixed my problem but sadly I'm used to working in column view so it's not ideal!
I also got the same error message when trying to replace a set of brushes yesterday too. I need to go back to Apple now but just need to schedule some time to sit and troubleshoot!

Getting error ORA-01092, after upgrade to oracle 10.2.0.4

I have upgraded my database from 10.2.0.1 to 10.2.0.4. however while opening this database I am getting this error. following are the steps I have followed.

Getting Ora-04030 after upgrading from 9.2.0.6 to 10.2.0.1 for same quey

We recently migrated our database from 9.2.0.6 to 10.2.0.1
The qurey (hefty one wth about 1000+ parameter list in where clause) runs fine in 9.2.0.6
but returns ORA-04030 Out of process memory Error in 10.2.0.1
I have tried to keep all the init.ora paramters same except in 10.2.0.1 I have enabled dynamic Shared memory management.
Any ideas /clues or advice

Black boot screen and startup manager on mid 2014 rMBP after upgrading to Yosemite

After upgrading to Yosemite I'm experiencing black booting process. Moreover, I noticed that the startup manager, which we access by holding the option key, has the black background too. I didn't like the Yosemite, so I downgraded back to Mavericks, but I still have the startup manager with the black background and the initial screen during the startup sound is black too, and after that the grey screen with the Apple logo comes up, which is typical for Mavericks. I want my startup manager to have the grey background as before. And also, before there was the grey screen during the startup sound, not the black one. How to revert all this to the previous state? I'm experiencing all this on my rMBP, 13-inch, mid-2014.
I want to revert because after downgrading back to Mavericks my rMBP started freezing terribly, especially on youtube, ebay and app store. And it's not just the web browsing, it's freezing when navigating in finder too. I know there are many experienced users here, so I hope that somebody can help me with this. Before upgrading to Yosemite my machine was running flawlessly.

Ora-01001 in procedures with ref cursor parameter after upgrade to 11.1.0.7

Hi,
after upgrading from 11.1.0.6.0 to 11.1.0.7.0, I get ora-01001 in procedure calls which have a ref cursor as an out parameter.
Even a new 11.1.0.7 instance throws this error. My OS is Linux SLES10SP2.

Hi Max,
the referenced thread discusses a .Net problem. A lot of layers are involved their. My problem is a very basic problem. You get this error even if you run the test in a sql session on the server.
It would be a great help for me
a) if someone could test this package on a 11.1.0.7 database
b) if someone could test this package on a 11.2 database (is it fixed in Release2?)
c) if someone could give me hints how I could modify the procedure to make it usable for 11.1.0.7
(I already tried a lot e.g. EXECUTE IMMEDIATE v_sql USING OUT p_cur;

ORA-01722: invalid number (Error in Application after upgrade to 3.0)

After upgrading to 3.0 I am no longer able to login to my application. The error I am seeing is:
ORA-01722: invalid number
Error Could not process show_hide_memory.show_hide_collection_output procedure !
Please help me pin-point the issue and fixed it.

"TypeError: undefined is not an object" after upgrading to 2014.1.1

I'm seeing the error: "TypeError: undefined is not an object (evaluating 'cpoint.getSymbolElement') in an _upgraded composition which is causing points and tooltips to not appear in the loaded composition.
Edge Animate version 2014.1.1
Mac OS 10.10.1
Safari 8.0.2, Chrome 40.0.2214.94, Firefox 35.0.1
This issue only began happening after upgrading to 2014.1.1
No changes were made to my computer and I've tested it on other computers with the same result

ORA-12541: TNS:no listener after upgrading from 11.1.0.6 to 11.1.0.7

After upgrading from 11.1.0.6 to 11.1.0.7, I get the error: ORA-12541: TNS:no listener.
I have attached my tnsnames.ora, listener.ora and my sqlnet.log.
I have tried deleting the listener and re-adding it and I get the same error.
I have tried adding a new database and it errored at 97% because it couldn’t connect to the listener, but still seemed to create the database.
Any suggestions would be appreciated

Here what i feel complete linstner.ora should be have two parts one LISTENER and another SID_LIST_LISTENER :

In your case SID_LIST_LISTENER part is missing.
In this part you have to set SID_NAME and ORACLE_HOME value of new 11g home.

After upgrading to CC 2014 gray gamma is reset

After upgrading to CC 2014 I finding all of my grayscale images (several thousands) are showing no color mode setting, or now show gray gamma of 2.2 instead of 1.8. I am on a PC, and have been printing in gray gamma 1.8. I convert the images to 1.8, and then save and close the image. But the same image is shown as gray gamma 2.2. In order to save the image in gray gamma 1.8 I have to save as...with the same file name. When I click on save as the default is for mac, not PC as it use to. When I first started CC 2014 I set the color space to what I was using before.
1. What can I do to restore the color space/gray gamma to what it use to be?
2. How can I make sure that the save preference is for PC and not Mac?
Note, now even bridge CS6 shows the wrong gray gamma, or no color setting for an image.
This is very irritating to have to deal with.

I am not specific enough I guess. When I upgraded it erased ALL color setting/gray scale setting. Reassigning the color settings as you suggest does not restore the previous settings.

Can't use "Place Linked" or "Place Embedded" or "Open" after upgrading to Yosemite and PS CC 2014

When I go to File > Place Linked / Place Embedded / Open it isn't working anymore after upgrading to Yosemite and PS CC 2014.
If I drag a file to Photoshop, I can open it that way, or by using "Open Recent".
I've tried going to the folder "Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 Settings" and deleting the file "Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 Prefs.psp", and then "Place Linked / Place Embedded / Open" works once, but then it stops working again?

Yosemite is still full of bugs that Apple has not been able to fix. Thank Apple for the damage to your Photoshop install.
To re-create the preferences files for Photoshop, start the application while holding down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS). Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"
Note: If this process doesn't work for you while you're using a wireless (Bluetooth) keyboard, attach a wired keyboard and retry.
Important: If you re-create the preferences by manually deleting the Adobe Photoshop CS6 Settings file, make sure that you only delete that file. If you delete the entire settings folder, you also delete any unsaved actions or presets.
Reinstalling Photoshop does not remove the preferences file. Before reinstalling Photoshop, re-create your preferences.
