  • Oracle ADF security integration with Oracle E-Business Suite SDK JAAS

    I have an Oracle ADF 11.1.2.2 application that is using ADF security for authentication and authorization.
    When we deploy this application to our JDeveloper integrated weblogic server, we utilize the security setting of "Custom" and use weblogic users and roles to map to the ADF application roles. In that environment our security is working properly.
    I have a Weblogic 10.3.5 standalone server that has the ADF runtime installed as well as the Oracle E-Business Suite SDK JAAS implementation installed.
    When I deploy the Oracle ADF application to the standalone weblogic server, I am directed to the JAAS login page when I attempt to access any JSF page (including those that I have granted View access through the anonymous-role. Does the Oracle ADF anonymous-role work (allow for anonymous page access) when JAAS security is handled by the Oracle E-Business Suite SDK JAAS implementation?
    Per the SDK instructions, when we install the Oracle ADF deployment on Weblogic we have selected "DD only" for our security setting. We have defined enterprise roles in the Oracle ADF security setup (jazn-data.xml) that are assigned the appropriate application roles. Those enterprise roles have the same name (i.e. UMX|YOURROLE) as the E-Business Suite roles that are assigned to our test users. When we login with an E-Business Suite user / password we are receiving an error:
    Error 401--Unauthorized
    From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
    10.4.2 401 Unauthorized
    Any thoughts on why that would be?
    Thanks
    Dan

    Thanks Juan.
    With the debugging options enabled it appears the issue is not an issue with the user / role credentials - it seems like the resource grants from jazn-data.xml are not being reviewed in my standalone weblogic instance EAR deployment:

    When I access the same page from my integrated weblogic server I see:

    When I review my EAR - I do see jazn-data.xml at:
    /META-INF/jazn-data.xml
    I will review the system-jazn-data.xml to see if the policy information has been migrated properly as part of the EAR deployment.

  • Can i install Oracle ADF Essentials 11.1.2.3 on weblogic 10.6 ?

    can i install Oracle ADF Essentials 11.1.2.3 on weblogic 10.6 ?
    what the difference between ADF Essentials 11.1.2.3 and Application Development Run time 11.1.1.6 ?
    can i use ADF Essentials 11.1.2.3 instead of Application Development Run time 11.1.1.6 to deploy application (contains many jsf pages with rich faces and many taskflows and BC4J) ??
    i'm using jdeveloper 11.1.2.3.0 and weblogic 10.6 installed on the Linux server

    Hi,
    JDeveloper 11g R1 (11.2.3) supported as ADF essentials and running on WebLogic 10.3.6 are the same releases. The difference is that a path is needed if you want to deploy the software on WLS 10.3.6. Quoting the release notes:
    +"The ADF Runtime will be installed into a standalone application server by applying an Opatch bundle on top of a 11.1.1.6 version of the Application Developer Runtime environment. In the event that additional patches are needed or desired in addition to the 11.1.2.3.0 patch (for example, if an additional patch is needed for another component in the Application Development Runtime installation), those patches will need to be installed separately.+
    +Important note: The patch is intended to be applied to an Application Developer Runtime installation. Applying the patch to a different installation type (for example, Oracle SOA Suite or Oracle WebCenter) is not supported."+
    Release Notes: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/11gr2update3-1851251.html
    For Glasssfish you don't need to patch the server and only install the ADF runtime libraries - also explained in the Release notes.

  • Oracle ADF for weblogic server

    Hi,
    Can I extend weblogic domain to include Oracle ADF
    my version of weblogic is 10.3.0.0
    Thanks,
    Charan

    Yes, you can do this.
    What you need to do is to first download the Application Developer Runtime component of the FMW 11g R1 release.
    http://download.oracle.com/otn/nt/middleware/11g/ofm_appdev_generic_11.1.1.2.0_disk1_1of1.zip
    This you install into your existing WLS installation, which makes all the necessary libraries and other artifacts available.
    This results in a new domain template being added, which you can then use to extend an existing domain with using the Configuration Wizard.

  • Oracle.adf.share.weblogic.listeners.ADFApplicationLifecycleListener

    I am getting classnotFounException when deploy application on stand alone Weblogic.
    1. I Install WLS 10.3.5
    2. I Install ADF library using jdeveloperstudio1112 installer.
    3. Create domain and configure use jrf 11.1.1 librarys using wizard
    4. Using wizard i define servers, machines and add librarys to servers..
    When i test i can deploy application well in admin server but in other server i create i am getting
    classnotFoundException oracle.adf.share.weblogic.listeners.ADFApplicationLifecycleListener
    I check on forum and find many topics about this...
    I try this answers:
    http://remcodeblok.blogspot.com/2009/03/howto-run-adf-with-node-manager.html
    Standalone WLS deployment failure - incorrect weblogic-application.xml
    but nothing seems to fix the error....
    I am wonder if i am doing something wrong.. i have instaled weblogic 10.3.1 many times and didnt get errors like this..
    Help

    Well, both threads are for older versions, the problems described there are solved by now.
    All I had to do is the second solution from the first thread (change nodemanger properties).
    Then start the node manager, then the admin server. The first time you need to start the managed server via the admin console. After shutting down everything and starting again all servers are OK.
    Have you checked that the Ast libraries targeted to your managed server?

  • Access a dll file for an oracle adf app deployed on weblogic on linux box

    Hi:
    My department is trying to move an oracle adf application from oracle application server to weblogic 10.3 application server. After trying for a few weeks, everything looks fine except that the application is not able to access a dll file. For this adf application we use a dll file which is a C program to allow us to grab ip address and mac address for every user's computer for security reason. On our oracle application server on a linux box, everything is fine and the application is able to use access the dll fine. Technically, it is how the dll work. In our login.jspx, we declare a object:
    <OBJECT id="objMacAddr" height="0" width="0" classid="CLSID:D69161F0-C2BB-4212-9B67-62B908A07726" codebase="RMacAddress.dll#Version=1,0,0,1">
    when the user access our web application, the browser grab the dll file from the server while loading the page and a java script function in the page uses the dll file to grab the ip address and mac address for user's computer.
    It works on oracle application server. However, it does not work on Weblogic 10.3 server. Does anyone have similar experience? We have been told by oracle support that Weblogic 10.3 server does not recognize the dll file at all. One thing I don't understand is that both our oracle application and weblogic 10.3 are on linux box. Why dll works on oralce application server but not on weblogic 10.3 server? This issue has bothered us for quite a few weeks already. I just hope that anyone on this forum gives us some kind of hint or direction.
    Thanks,
    Jack

    Also,
    I checked the "monitoring" window of my datasource on weblogic server and saw that there are no failed database connections. So, the problem of a broken database connectivity can be ruled out.

  • Running Oracle ADF tutorial example to weblogic server

    Hi all,
    I am following the tutorial at [Developing RIA Web Applications with Oracle ADF|http://st-curriculum.oracle.com/obe/jdev/obe11jdev/ps1/ria_application/developriaapplication_long.htm] . However, I did something new here. I deployed the finished sample to weblogic admin server, and it went fine. But when I tried to access the page DeptEmpPage.jspx, I got exception:
    oracle.jbo.DMLException: JBO-26061: Error while opening JDBC connection.
    and also
    java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01005: null password given; logon denied
    Looks like the user hr was not logged in. I tried to give explicit plaintext password in the file connections.xml as following
    <SecureRefAddr addrType="password">
    <Contents>hr</Contents>
    </SecureRefAddr>
    , but this also did not work.
    Could you please let me know how to make it working? I know for security concerns, we may need to have a log in form to do authentication. But for the quick-fix and pedagogic purpose, could anyone here please help?
    Many thanks.

    Dou you need to change the bc4j.xcfg content to reference the JNDI connection created in the deployment. Note that the deployed EAR creates a HrDS JDBC connnection with the credentials and Security user and associations, see the JNDI url in your app, for example, for "jdbc/HrDSDS", the entry to be added to the config file must be <Custom JDBCDataSource="java:comp/env/jdbc/HrDSDS"/>
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>
    <BC4JConfig version="11.1" xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bc4j/configuration">

    I already set the value for jbo.server.internal_connection and then deployed to Weblogic Server. When I was tested the application, all the records from table had shown on the screen but I found the application can't insert row to table PS_TXN. I I want to know it always happened?

  • Unable to deploy ADF application to weblogic server

    Hi,
    We are developing ADF application using jDeveloper 11.1.1.1 and deploying to Weblogic Server 10.3.1. The application is working without any problems on 10.3.1 wblogic platform.
    We procured new 64 bit hardware and installed weblogic 10.3.2 and jdeveloper 11.1.1.2 on windows platform. When we are deploying the application developed using jdeveloper 11.1.1.1 on the new platform we are getting the following exception.
    An error occurred during activation of changes, please see the log for details.
    [J2EE:160149]Error while processing library references. Unresolved application library references, defined in weblogic-application.xml: [Extension-Name: adf.oracle.domain, Implementation-Version: 11.1.1.1.0, exact-match: false], [Extension-Name: oracle.jsp.next, exact-match: false].
    Can you please provide some suggestions to debug the problem.
    Thanks and Regards,

I have removed the following lines as I am getting classnot found exception for oracle.adf.share.weblogic.listeners.ADFApplicationLifecycleListener and oracle.mds.lcm.weblogic.WLLifecycleListener.
    If I deployed the application on the admin server, The application is working with out any problems. I am having problems only on Managed Server at the time of deployment.

  • How can I use custom WLST commands for Oracle SOA Suite in Weblogic

    Hi There,
    I'm trying to view and search the weblogic log files using WLST on a Solaris/Unix system.
    I have come across this "custom WLST commands for Oracle SOA Suite" and thought of using the custom logging commands to get my task done.
    However, my WLST shell is not recognizing the commands and giving me the NameError!
    wls:/devDomain1/domainRuntime> listLogs()
    Traceback (innermost last):
    File "<console>", line 1, in ?
    NameError: listLogs
    I tried the commands listLogs, displayLogs, getLogLevel & setLogLevel but in vain!
    I have followed the instructions as per the oracle recommendation of using Custom WLST commands (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E29597_01/core.1111/e10105/getstart.htm#ASADM10692) as below
    - Launched the WLST shell from Oracle Home.
    cd ORACLE_HOME/common/bin
    ./wlst.sh
    - Tried to run the listLogs command from domainRuntime()
    I would like to know if I need to import any additional libraries to run the custom WLST commands for Oracle SOA Suite in my WLST shell?
    I have only weblogic 10.3.1 server installed on my Solaris 10 machine on which I have deployed the OSB application software.
    There is no SOA Suite installed.
    Or is there any other way I can browse the Server Log file and get the list of log messages? Basically I would like to use this feature in my script to customize it according to my requirement of listing specific error logs which I can work it out if I know how to make these commands work.
    Please advise if this is possible and how?
    Cheers.
    Satish

    I have tried on my OSB installation (no SOA Suite here), the command listLogs() works (I was in online mode, after a connect), and the classpath is:

    Hi,
    ADF applications that use business components need the weblogic-application.xml deployment
    descriptor to be present to be able to work on a WLS.
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E12839_01/web.1111/b31974/deployment_topics.htm#CHDCICJH
    35.4 Creating and Editing Deployment Descriptors
    mentions the need of :
    <library-ref>
      <library-name>adf.oracle.domain</library-name>
    </library-ref>
    in the weblogic-application.xml
    ==> please execute the following steps:
    1. Wrap the WAR file in an EAR file configured to be deployed to a WebLogic server as follows, so that  JDeveloper includes the needed deployment descriptor file:
    2.Right-click the project containing the web contents (usually ViewController), and select New -> Deployment Profile. Then select EAR Deployment Profile.
    3. Enter the name for the application, and then in the EAR profile properties dialog, in the Application Assembly, include the ViewController project, and in the Platform node, make sure Default Platform is set to WebLogic 10.3. Click OK.
    4. In the next dialog box (Project properties), open the node ADF Model, and make sure the checkbox "Contains Data Controls" is checked, and click OK
    5. Now to deploy, right click the ViewController project and select Deploy, then the name of the recently created application deployment profile, and then "to EAR file". This will result in a .ear file, deployable from the WLS administration page.
    Thanks,
    Sharmela
