U can not .
U can only if you are using an appliction server to run the forms. In this case you can call the URL to run the forms from JSP

We want to migrate from oracle 9i t0 10g. every thing is working fine, web page, forms, reports individually. But when oracle forms(.fmx) files included in the web page ,unable to pull/pickup the oracle forms files in the web page.

I "think" you simply want instructions on how to take your Forms 6i application and migrate it to a web deployed Forms 10g application. Is this right? If so, there is a lot of things you need to do.

<li>First: Must have a Database server, Application Server and a Forms Services Server. These can all be on the same server or seperate
<li>Second: Your Forms 6i binaries (.fmb) must be converted to Forms 10g binaries (check out Using the Oracle Forms Migration Assistant

I have to send a daily report to my email from my database server.
when i try the below command nothing is coming.

I think......in RHEL AS 3 ...... it will be different to edit the sendmail.mc file
because when enter
dnl define('SMART_HOST','mail.nhm.com.sa')dnlit becomes same as the commented line.
if i enter like below....
define('SMART_HOST','mail.nhm.com.sa')dnlits like a working command line.
i think to comment a line in .mc file we have to enter "dnl" instead of "#"
correct me if i am wrong...

How to execute oracle reports file from jsp using WL as an app server

I plan to use jsp to accept IN parameters and later want to execute oracle
          report execute stored in some directory and provide results back to the
          client browser window. Is this possible in JSP + WL? If yes, can you
          provide some tips on the code?

Try
sqlplus "sys/oracletest as sysdba" @bpk.sql
Working locally, and having set the ORACLE_SID, you don't need to specify the SqlNet alias (@testdb).
Remember to put an exit at the end of the bpk.sql script.

Problem with fmx file

dear friends
i work with oracle developer6i, oracle severe edition9i under windows2000 advanced server
i created my form succseefuly and i complied it to fmx file
but when clicking on this fmx file it does not run and the open with dialog appeard
all i need is when i click on the fmx file my form just run

You mean to say... clicking on "fmx" file from mouse?.
U can not run the fmx file by clicking on generated file..
Use command line to launch(run) the fmx file.
like
c:> <executable> <username/passoword@connectstring> <fmx>
I have not used Developer6i, so I don't the executable(bin) file name.

f60runm user/pass@conn1 file_1_fmx

Forms tool not generating FMX file - HELP!

I'm trying to generate a .FMX file. My problem is, is that Forms very rarely creates one when the form is Compiled.
Very occasionally a file is produced, but I can't figure out the conditions when it does.
I've tried deleting an existing .FMX file.
I've tried closing the form and reopening it.
I've tried completely shutting down the session and opening a new one. (This worked once)
I've tried opening a different form first.
I've tried both Module compiles and Incremental compiles first before a Compile All.
Is there a flag or setting somewhere that is stopping the FMX file from being produced.

You should be able to call WinExec() (Windows API) there are bound to be MS KB articles that cover this. Create a small CMD file that you pass a parameter to with the SQL Script name and then exec that.

Run Oracle Form Application from a JSP File.

I have a complete customized application made on Oracle Forms (10g) and I have .fmb and .fmx files, now problem which I am facing is I have to open the Oracle Form Application from my JSP page (which is used to login the user). My JSP page is just a simple page which I have placed it in path [C:\DevSuiteHome2\forms\j2ee\formsapp\formsweb] and I run it from browser as [http://localhost:port/forms/index.jsp].
How can I start my application from this JSP page? Please your help would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Inside your JSP page put <OBJECT> tag with all parameters and tags to open Jinitiator or java applet..

Getting "java.lang.NullPointerException" error message when trying to run an OATS OpenScript file from Eclipse to Create a record in Oracle EBS

Hello,
I'm trying to run a simple OpenScript script in Eclipse that creates a record (a Supplier in this case) in Oracle E-Business Suite. So I copied the the script file from OpenScript and created it as a Class in Eclipse. Then I created a main class to call the methods within the script class but no matter what method I call (initialize, run or finalize) I'm getting the java.lang.NullPointerException message. The error doesn't seem to be related with any specific line in the script but with the way that I'm calling it.
Should I call the OpenScript class from my main class in a different way? (see my examples below)
BTW, all external .jar files coming with OATS have been added to my project in Eclipse.
1) Here's the main class I created to call the OpenScript method (Eclipse auto-corrected my main class adding a Try and Catch around the method call):

Compiling from command line I found out that the class definition for oracle.oats.scripting.modules.basic.api.IteratingVUserScript is missing. Do you know what .jar file contains this class?

How to download a file from Oracle UCM using OSB

UCM supplies webservice interfaces which let you retrieve the filecontent by soap calls from UCM (http://ucmhost/_dav/cs/idcplg for example). (maybe you should enable some settings on ucm to have this webservice interface getting published).
This services for example has 2 operations getFileByID and getFileByName.
So you can just call these services from within OSB.
After that you need to do some tests if you eitherway need to create a file-transport business-service and call this one from your proxy service or create a messageType proxyservice (binary) which calls this file-transport business service to be able to write fo filesystem.
I think for the OSB book i used a jca file adapter generated in Jdeveloper and used that one to write to filesystem.

Hello,
I have a form containing a block of records with files set up in a tabular layout. Each row has a checkbox to indicate if that row is selected. What I want to do is allow the user to save each file from checked rows to a directory of their choice on their machine when a button is pressed. Is it possible to do this in one command at the same time using WEBUTIL_FILE to save all the selected files to the same directory, or would I need to loop through each row and call the save dialog each time?

I'm not sure I follow. The SAVE_DIALOG is building the path including the filename where the files will be saved. If I have 5 different files I want to save at the same time and only show the dialog once, I will only have a path for one of the files. How could I loop through the rest afterwards?
