Oracle Forms List Items :not populating list Dynamically using select Query

Hi ,
I need to create a list item. And the values to be populated in the list are from Database but I'm unable to populate from database.
Please help me out how to populate the values from database.
In Property Pallete we have Elements in List under Functional section , In this we have to manually enter the List values but we can't use any Query to Dynamically populate.
Thanks,
Kiran Sanga

When you need to fill a list with the result of a query, you'll have to do it at runtime.
Andreas has a good blogpost about this.

    Greetings,
we have a Oracle Forms & Report Services 10.1.2.0.2 installation on a RHEL box. There's need to implement JPI instead of Jinitiator, but I have encountered some problems - I have followed the instructions for dynamic JPI listed in Doc ID 368218.1. I have checked ownership/permissions for frmall.jar, but they seem fine (there was a note pointing out possible ownerhsip issues).
    Any ideas/suggestions?

  • Open references of other list items from a list item in the same window or tab

    Hi there,
We have migrated from lotus notes to sharepoint. We have converted the lotus notes forms to sharepoint forms. Basically the list items are pages and there are links of other pages in a page.
My problem is I want to open the other pages in the same tab or window and not in a separate window.(currently the links open in a separate window which is not the requirement.)
In terms of sharepoint I would say,
I have references(links)  to other list items of the list in a single list item. I want to open the other list items in the same window (tab).
How can we achieve this?? If possible without much codes??
    Please suggest.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

  • Load: class oracle.forms.engine.Main not found Stuck at loading Java Applet

    Hi there
I have recently installed App Server 10.1.2.0 on a new machine.
Copied all my forms to an appropriate directory. Set up formsweb.cfg to allow them to run and have attempted to run them.
Unfortunately I get stuck at the Loading Java Applet screen, and in the status bar at the bottom it says :
    load: class oracle.forms.engine.Main not found
I have taken a look at the Java Console, and the 2 things that jump out at me are that it appears to be looking for a forms90 directory, which seems odd since I am using App Server 10.1.2.0.2 and Forms Builder 10.1.2.0.2 meaning it should be looking in a forms directory not forms90 directory shouldnt it ?
And also, it mentions class with no proxy, so on looking around the forums it has been suggested that put the proxy details into jinitiator, which I have done, but this has made no difference either.
Can anyone suggest anything else please ?
    Java Console log follows.

  • How to copy List item from one list to another using SPD workflow using HTTP call web service

    Hi,
How to copy List item from one list to another using SPD workflow using HTTP call web service.
Both the Lists are in different Web applications.
    Regards, Shreyas R S

    Hi Shreyas,
From your post, it seems that you are using SharePoint 2013 workflow platform in SPD.
If that is the case, we can use Call HTTP web service action to get the item data, but we cannot use Call HTTP web service to create a new item in the list in another web application with these data.
As my test, we would get Unauthorized error when using Call HTTP web service action to create a new item in a list in another web application.
So I recommend to achieve this goal programmatically.

  • SP2013: List does not exist / The page you selected contains a list that does not exist. It may have been deleted by another user

There are dozens of entries regarding "
List does not exist / The page you selected
contains a list that does not exist. It may have been deleted by another user" and none of them are really SP 2013 so i thought I would create this entry.
I am getting the error above after creating a simple list with 4 columns.  the list is created during a new site definition activation but when I click on my list, I get the error above.  the list works if I deactivate the feature and re-activate
it.  but has the error whenever the new site definition is created.
Has anybody encountered this issue on SP 2013?

  • Oracle.forms.engine.Main not found.java.lang.ClassNotFoundException error

    Hi Members,
I am getting the oracle.forms.engine.Main not found.java.lang.ClassNotFoundException error when trying to access Oracle forms using APEX 2.2.1 and SSO.
    load:class.oracle.forms.engine.Main not found
The forms have been compiled, forms path setup properly and the setup required to run forms seems to be right. Jinitiator has also been installed.
I have searched the forums and tried everything. I have checked jinitiator settings, cleared cache and even reinstalled it. Do you have any experience with this error? Appreciate any answers. Thanks.
    Ravi.

    Dear Friends,
I was also facing the same problem. to solve this, i have uninstalled Oracle Jinitiator. Cleared all the temporary internet files & cookies. Then while running the form, when it asks to install JInitiator, i have specified a different path for jinitiator, For Example, By default it asks for C:\programfiles, i have changed it to c:\manish directory.
This has solved my problem. Probably this also help you.

In my case, on my machine, the codebase virtual directory name is defined as forms60java and is mapped to the Forms_Home\Forms60\Java directory, which is where the f60allxxx.jar files are stored.
    Alias /forms60java/ "D:\Oracle\806\FORMS60\java/"
Look out for the 6iServer.conf file on the Oracle9iAs installation of Forms. In this file you see the value used in your configuration. Open the formsweb.cfg file (assuming you are using the Forms Servlet) in the forms60/server directory and search for the "codebase" parameter. The value should be the relative path mapping in the 6iServer.conf file.
You can test if the codebase value works in that you copy an image to the forms60/java directory and call it by
    http:// ..../<forms_mapping>/gifname

Before delete the item, use the below logic
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1075323/copy-list-items-from-one-list-to-another-in-sharepoint
    or
You can do this by 2 workflows one creating list item by copying and second workflow on the copied item which will delete the original list item.

  • Error oracle.forms.engine.Main not found.java.lang.ClassNotFoundException

    Hi all,
I tried to update oracle_logo.gif in forms jar which is in f90all_jinit jar. I placed my icon in forms\oracle\forms\icons and renamed it as oracle_logo.gif while removing the existing one. Then I did jar the forms and placed that in f90all_jinit and again did jar f90all_jinit. Then, I placed this in ORACLE-HOME/forms90/java. When I tried to run the form...the form could not open and the java console shows this..

  • Update one list item to another list using WF

    hi
i have a SP Designer workflow which copies one list item to another list
but if i edit the 1st list this will copy a new item to another list i want the same item to be edited without making a new copy of the item.
    Alen Austin

so in the workflow separate between on edit and on new item, so mostly you will need to either do checking and have variable saved to know if you are editing only, or create 2 workflows one when you add new item and other when u edit (if needed)

There is no automatic way to do this in JDeveloper. I know there are some Oracle Partners offering forms to java conversion, I don't know how much of their tools are automated and done with JDeveloper. With JDeveloper+ADF you basically rewriting the Forms application from scratch (and using ADF is helpful during this process).

In new itunes, I can't see "items not in my library" using home sharing

Yup, the new itunes is worthless unless every song you have is in your itunes library as well. (unless you buy every song from itunes this is simply impossible)  Apparently Apple threw away the feature in an effort to force everyone to purchase their media through itunes.  This is probably the worst idea about the new Itunes, the only way to go back is to restore your computer to a time before you downloaded the new version, otherwise wait and hope the next version in a year or so will have it.

Thanks for the response. I've tried this example too and it still doesn't like the things mentioned in previous post. In addition, it doesn't like SET_RECORD_PROPERTY(:system.cursor_record,'EMP',status,new_status); I get the same sort of error. The form compiles fine though.
    Background on form:
this form was created to allow users to dynamically build an update statement. On this form are a number of list items and text boxes that are not populated from a database. So the datablock doesn't retrieve values from the database and the only updating that will be done is when the user clicks an "update" button to execute the sql statement that is built. Could this issue I'm having be related to the way i designed my datablock and items? When the user selects an item from one of the list items, the record status goes to "Changed". So I assumed my issue was because of this and thought the set_record_property statement would help...but that is generating the same error. what am i missing? if i look at the index value of the record group after create_group_from_query, it is -1. after populate_group, it is still -1. should it still be -1?? any help is greatly appreciated.
