Oracle8i JDBC Guide Example Not Working-applet security

I was having problems with a JDK1.1.7 applet that I want to get
working with Netscape 4.07 and my Oracle 8.0.5 installation. I
am using Netscape's Signtool, the Capabilities classes, and I
have packaged the Oracle classes111.zip contents into my Signed
JAR file. I got a copy of the Oracle 8i JDBC Developer's Guide
and Reference which has an example of what I'm trying to do.
However, I get the same error running the example. Can anyone
tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Please help...

No, it is not, but this is the reason for using Netscape's
Capabilities API. It contains a PrivilegeManager that works with
Java's Applet Security Manager to grant permissions for the
applet.

  • Smart Guides Do Not Work

    My smart guides do not work. From the time I loaded CS5 they have not worked. If you go to View > Grids & Guides > the Smart Guides are grayed out.
    Then if you go to the Control Panel > View Options, the smart Guides are not grayed out they are checked.
    I have looked around and read trying to find out whats up with these guides but have not found anything the works. I have also uninstalled InDesign and reinstalled. This stall did not work.
    If anyone has any idea of why or how to get the guides to work that would be great.
      Thanks for your help...

    Try going to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • Not working applets in win7 x64

    Hello,
    Maybe my problems comes from another programs in my computer, but most errors came/come from java (JRE), so I try to write a message here.... and hope to find a solution so that my applets will work. In the past periods I got a lot of script errors and watch at home only to a screen (white background with some text interchangeably) online it's really terrible for my eyes (as watching in the sun). And most program, flash-players not working online....pfff.
    I installed "jre-6u21-windows-i586-iftw-rv.exe" and restarted my PC, but again my computer did't show any applet, it makes me crazy. Again I got a 32-bit version on a 64-bits motherboard.....

    During the opening of several sub-directories in the directorymap Java (1.6.0_20 + 21), I found it strange that some sub-maps were empty. In the sub-folders Java/jr6/lib/applet were no files and also not in the 'lib' subdirectory ../audio.
    I have search several times and downloaded several versions of Java and reinstalled them (because not working of it). I have read almost 100 pages for the correct solution, but without any result. I was searching in the folder to find information of the Java-applet or why their gone because. The Java controle on the website shows everytime "You have the last and right Java-version", but without working applets I cannot work well at my computer (offline and online).... it's a crime....pfff

    .Re: Rear channels not working properly in Win7\ First go to control panel, and sound, and then speakers and then to configure, and then choose 5. for your speaker setup and be sure to not choose full range speakers. Then go back to speakers and choose properties, and then Levels, and try raising your rear speakers a bit louder than your front and center speakers. For me, this works best as rear speakers do not receive as much as front and center anyway. I have my front and center set at 55 so I set the rear to 65 or 70. Then they sound equal. I turn on CMSS-3d in console Launcher and I choose surround, and then stereo surround. I do not like stereo expand.
    If you have a sound source that is already 5., such as playing a 5. movie in VLC media player, the sound is already 5. so it is not "double-upmixed" per se.

  • Delete Operation in JDBC Sender Adapter not works

    Hi,
        I have one student table which contains the fields ID,Name,BirthMonth,BirthYear,ReadFlag fields. ReadFlag is a character field or lenght 1 which contains only values either 'Y' or ' '.
         I want to execute delete operation in this table ie to delete the records which contains the readflag = 'Y'. So, I set the below values for the following parameters.
    DELETE FROM student WHERE READFLAG = ' Y '
    Query SQL Statement : SELECT * FROM student WHERE readflag = 'Y'
    Update SQL Statement : DELETE FROM student WHERE READFLAG = 'Y'
    Poll Interval : 60 Seconds.
        There are more records in this table which contains readflag = 'Y'. But, the Adapter does not delete those records from the table i.e delete operation is not executed. At the same time, in Comm. Channel monitoring it does not show any error, but the delete operation is not carried out in the table.
         I tried after 'COMMIT' the table also. But it does not work. What could be the reason ? or How to use Delete Operation effectively on the table ?
         Kindly help me friends to solve this problem.
    Thanking you.
    Kind Regards,
    Jeg.

    <i>Adapter Work Method
    You must add an indicator that specifies the processing status of each data record in the adapter (data record processed/data record not processed) to the database table.
    The UPDATE statement must alter exactly those data records that have been selected by the SELECT statement. You can ensure this is the case by using an identical WHERE clause. (See Processing Parameters, SQL Statement for Query, and SQL Statement for Update below).
    <b>Processing can only be performed correctly when the isolation level for transaction is set to repeatable_read or serializable.
    Example
    SQL statement for query: SELECT * FROM table WHERE processed = 0;
    SQL statement for update: UPDATE table SET processed = 1 WHERE processed = 0;
    processed is the indicator in the database.</b></i>
    try with repeatable_read or serializable !!!

  • Report with JDBC connection does not work when they includes CommandTable

    I am trying to render using the new version of Crystal report java component - CRJ a report contains Data base Fileds of type Command Table (Row Set) which seems to be not working.
    when i use the previes version of crystal SDK it works fine.
    after deugging the Sample CrystalHelper.java file which contains the method .changeDatasource()
    i found that the DataBaseController.setLocation() method changes the CommandTable class to Table when using it on CommandTable instance and as result all the fields defined into that CommandTable were disappear.

    That appears to be a known issue:  Eclipse JRC: To change the JDBC connection at run time

    Hi All,
    We still haven't figured out what the problem is with JDBC when using ojdbc7.jar but, as an alternate solution we ported the code to Spring JDBC and got it working.

    apdutool C:\java_card_kit-2_2_2-windows\java_card_kit-2_2_2\samples\HelloWorld.scrThe app installs fine. So now I want to test the code. I added a line to the script at the end to selecct the application:

    Any suggestions why this could be happening? Nothing throws errors except the line to select the app. It can't be a problem with the code, because I am running the sample files that came with the JCDK.

    • Cause: An attempt was made to create an applet instance, but the applet code was not installed on the card.
    • Solution: Verify that the applet package has been downloaded to the card.
    Remeber that after the first time you launch cref, you need to tell it where to load the EEPROM file from the last run with -i <file>. You can use the same file for -i and -o to be able to reuse the mask and store new state.

    I've installed and configured JSF according to CoreJSF 1st Chapter example "A simple JSF Application" (available at http://horstmann.com/corejsf/). The only different thing i've done is to put the jsp pages in a separate folder within the root web application folder. The JSF seems to be properly configured, since i'm able to see the UI components in the login page. However, once I click login button, the application takes me once more to the login page (same page that put the request). I figure it is a problem with the navigation file, I've changed the faces-config.xml including "jsf/welcome.jsp" as target since "jsf" is the separate directory I created for JSP files. I does not work (not getting exceptions though). Any prompt help will be highly appreciated.
    These are the files:
    webapproot/jsf/index.jsp
    <html>
    <%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html" prefix="h" %>
    <%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core" prefix="f" %>

    Since I'm not getting any java exceptions I figure the UserBean class is working properly.

  • Hans Javaserver 3 book example not working

    Hello,
    This is from Hans Javaserver Pages Third edition
    <%-- Verify that the user is logged in --%>
    <c:if test="${validUser == null}">
    <jsp:forward page="login.jsp">
    <jsp:param name="origURL" value="${pageContext.request.requestURL}" />
    <jsp:param name="errorMsg" value="log in first." />
    </jsp:forward>
    </c:if>
    The above example does not seem to work.
    The code below seems to work
    <%-- Verify that the user is logged in --%>
    <c:if test="${validUser.name == null}">
    <jsp:forward page="login.jsp">
    <jsp:param name="origURL" value="${pageContext.request.requestURL}" />
    <jsp:param name="errorMsg" value="log in first." />
    </jsp:forward>
    </c:if>
    Any ideas why his example is not working on Tomcat 5.0?
    Thanks
    Frank

    Hi I was trying the same thing and was wondering why it doesn't accept the origURL, well it never takes the value of it at all and just skips the page that was requested and goes to mail.jsp no matter what.
    <c:choose>
    <c:when test="${! empty param.origURL}" >
    <c:redirect url="${param.origURL}" />
    </c:when>
    <c:otherwise>
    <c:redirect url="main.jsp" />
    </c:otherwise>
    </c:choose>
    The value of origURL is never passed to this authentication page! I would also like to know the reason why?
    Also I have a question to your last piece of code that works: where is the name parameter taken from? Is it the same as userName that is passed as a parameter from the login page? or is it something else? I'd really appreciate your help...
    <c:if test="${validUser.name == null}">

  • IOS 8.02 guided access not working for Ipad 2

    Will the next update for iOS 8 fix the issue for guides access for Ipad 2? Issue; function not working at all. And when will this update come?
    We have now tried everything we can think of. Reset settings, totale factory reset etc. This doen both on the Ipad and thorugh iTunes.
    For us the Ipad got useless with iOS 8 as we us it as a visitor kiosk using the app SIGN IN. We really regret updating.... please fix asap

    I can confirm that this works on 3rd Generation iPads.  But not 2nd Generation iPads.  I have found that if Guided access was enabled prior to the upgrade it might reset in this process.
    Turn off Guided Access in Accessibility / Settings.
    Hard reboot.  (Hold Home and Lock buttons for 7 seconds)
    Turn on Guided Access in Accessibility / Settings.  Reset Passcode.
    Anyone have luck with a newer model?

  • IDoc string field to JDBC date field - Not working

    Hello everyone,
    Once again I must ask you something that is keeping me..
    I had a interface type RFC ASync to JDBC SQL Server, it was working fine. Then, I was asked to change to a type iDoc ASync to JDBC SQL Server.
    At first, it was not a problem, just manual work. But them, I am getting an error.
    In the RFC, I had a date field, that was directly related to the date field on the JDBC destination, so the mapping was pretty much straight forward. The SQL INSERT command was working fine on this cenario.
    Now, in iDoc, this field was automatically converted to a string, and somehow, PI is not understanding that string has to be mapped to a date field in the JDBC.
    Is there any 'workaround' for me to do this?
    Thanks!
    Ricardo Sancio Lóra
    Brazil

    The issue here is that somehow, the same SQL insert command that was working, does not work anymore.
    This is the SQL command took from RWB log monitor:
    INSERT INTO  aniversariantes_sap (matricula, nome, nascimento, unidade) VALUES (00000070, 'Ricardo Lora', '19851216', 00000000)
    If I run this query on my DB it works.
    But, in PI, it's not, here is the error:
    Could not execute statement for table/stored proc. "aniversariantes_sap" (structure "ANIVERSARIANTES_SAP") due to com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Syntax error converting datetime from character string.
    I´ve tried cast() and convert() using mapping 'habilities', but also, does not work. Work if I run in the DB, but not if PI runs it.
    Wierd..
