Ordering iPhone, but plan discounts don't apply
Verizon has a site where customers can check their work email address to check if they are eligible for discounts through their employer.
Because of my employer I am eligible for plan discounts from each of the major wireless companies. I have compared pricing, and I want a Verizon iPhone.
I held out ordering an iPhone because I wanted to switch to Verizon at the same time that the Verizon iPhone became available, but when I go to the site I linked to above, I put in my work email address, it tells me that I am eligible, and I can start ordering.
If I choose any phone except an iPhone, it shows a discount on the phone and a discount on the service. If I select an iPhone, the site shows no discount on the phone, and shows no discount on the service.
I understand the reasoning behind not listing a discount on the iPhone, but shouldn't the service still be discounted?
I've comparison shopped, and although AT&T doesn't discount the iPhone, they still offer eligible customers the same percentage discounts on plans purchased by iPhone customers that they offer to plans purchased by non-iPhone customers.
I want an iPhone, and I want Verizon service. I'd be willing to buy the iPhone today, from Verizon, but if the only way to retain my eligibility for discounts is to buy a phone that's either not from Verizon or not an iPhone, I won't be able to buy from Verizon.
The rep's response was that specifically, full retail purchases weren't eligible so I was out of luck.
The way I look at it, companies invest a ton of money to create devices that are tremendously powerful little devices. People in general often don't have an appreciation of the number of man hours that go into designing and developing a single model of anything electronic.
If I have to pay full retail to keep my Unlimited Data Plan and knowing that I don't get a discount on the hardware, it's ok. That's the price I'm paying to be on Verizon's system which I wholeheartedly believe is the best infrastructure available despite its occasional hiccups. I can't imagine what the future brings us as infrastructures and devices are designed and developed. It's exciting to think about!
But I still think it's a bummer that corporate discounts don't always apply when you think they might.

Ordered Iphone but no confirmation email
I ordered the iphone last night on my business account around 2:20. It took me a while to get it to work for the business account as I had been trying soon as they started taking orders. I finally got it to work, placed the order, but never got a confirmation email to my personal email or to my work email. I thought maybe that the order didn't work, so I went to my account and my orders and the iphone order showed up. I clicked it and it just said N/A beside status, shipping, and tracking number. Underneath it said "due to the increase in demand for this product, etc.." Well I go to bed thinking I'll have an email when I wake up confirming the order and giving me a shipping number. Never got it. I go back to the site, check my order number, and the part in quotes at the bottom is no longer there and under status, it says completed but still has a N/A by everything else.
Can anyone let me know if they had this same problem?
Thanks in advance.That's how mine was when I ordered at 3:00 on the 7th. Never heard one thing from them until I got an email from Verizon saying it had been shipped with a tracking number. That happened on 8th about 6:00 pm. I kept checking my account and saw that it had been charged about 2 hrs. before I got any info from Verizon. I even clicked update of my phone number and it showed that I had an order pending.

It has to be something to do with norton firewall. however, I read the troubleshooting directions and I don't see what they say when I open norton. Please. please can someone help? Nothing external it was an issue with foxfire. The browser was the problem. It wouldn't open.
this browser used to be great. Not so great anymore. I don't know why. Slow. The addons don't add much.
But everything I troubleshooted, it ended up not being it at all.Try Norton support for clarification of their preferences or settings in a newer version of their software than what is displayed in Firefox support. <br />

I do not have the 'Advanced' tab on the menu bar. I am trying to change ringtone on my iphone 4s. Have done the following: Right cick on song, entered the start and stop times, but unable to proceed as need 'Advanced' tab in order to change to option.
You don't need to upgrade your software. But if you're struggling with Spry, IMO you should cut your losses and switch to something better for the longrun.
If you have a budget to work with, I highly recommend Project Seven's Pop-Menu Magic 3. It's easy to use in DW CS4, 5, 6 or CC. More importantly, it's bullet proof and works in all devices.

I've done everything I know in order to get my calendar in iCloud synchronized with my macBook, my IPad and my iPhone, but get no success. I've checked if all devices are set to the same account. Can you help me?
The only thing I can see strange is that when I login my iCloud account through my principal email address, when I check my preferences is marked an @me.com address that is old and I don't use it anymore, but I can't erase it or even change it.

For informative purposes only...
Long story short, I made a call on the iPhone and arranged to meet an individual at a specific location and call them when I arrived there to complete rendezvous. I first received their email from my .mac email on my computer which I deleted after I talked to them on the phone.
When I arrived at the location I looked in my recent calls list and no numbers were there!
I called 611 and they said they couldn't give me my last dialed number over the phone because of Federal Law and told me I might be able to go to att.com/mywireless and login to view my account to retrieve the number.
I tired to register at att.com/mywireless from my iPhone but after inserting your number it goes to a profile page where you insert your information and the field where you insert your email address does not allow the @ character from the iPhone!!!
OK so I go to the .mac login page and log in to .mac Mail through Apple.com and I can see the email that I deleted off my computer (and iPhone) but I can not view the message because alas, you have to double click the email message in order to view it!!!
We all know what double-tapping on the iPhone does right class?
About an hour passed as I tried to go though this turmoil and during that time the person said they tried to call me 3 times! I was lucky enough that the last time they called they let the call go to voicemail and left a little sigh before hanging up which went to visual voicemail and I was able to get the number from there...
So yeah recent calls not being logged, not able to access content on manufacturer and providers sites, and missed calls which are still happening today (I haven't had my phone ring in days I just get voicemails that pop up + some outgoing calls are still not being logged).
But I guess I still love my iPhone
I went home afterwards and logged on to .mac Mail from my computer and could read the email by double-clicking it.I think what diesel vdub is trying to say is that if your Apple headphones work and the third party ones don't then the third party ones are not compatible or are broken.
I would ask if they third party headphones ever worked with this phone before or not? If they have, then I would check for damage to the headphones or to the port where they plug in (some people have had issues with getting obstructions in the port preventing the headphones from plugging in fully).
You could try to make an appointment at an Apple Genius Bar or authorized service center, but since the Apple supplied headphones work they are likely to say teh same as diesel vdub, and that the problem is with the third party headphones. -

You can cancel an iCloud storage upgrade but only within 15 days of buying:
Apple seem to have made this as difficult as possible. You may be able to do this using http://expresslane.apple.com - click 'See all products and services', then 'More Products and Services, then 'iCloud', 'Account and setup' then 'This topic is not listed'. Explain the situation in the box provided and wait for a response - include a phone number. However you may find you cannot proceed without entering a hardware serial number which is still eligible for AppleCare.
In that event you will need to phone them directly, using the Apple Online Store number given at the bottom of this page. The first person you speak to may tell you to do it from the iCloud website but this is not possible. Politely insist on escalating the issue to a more senior person and eventually you should be able to get through to someone who can deal with this (you may have to wait for them to call you back) - you will be asked security questions and for part of your credit card number to identify yourself.
If it is more than 15 but less than 45 days you may be able to get a partial refund by the same method.

I thought I resolved it, but the problem came back! And this time, re-starting Muse didn't help.
I was creating a vertical line to separate the sidebar from the main area, and when I extended the line down to where the footer guide is, the page started to expand and the navigation bar at the top started growing, while the links disappeared again. Now all links from the master page are again missing from every page but the master.
When I undid it, the navbar went back to its normal depth, but the text links in it did not return.
Any thoughts on how to fix this?
Also, it really wasn't my intention for the navigation bar to grow vertically as the page grows. Is there a way to prevent that? -
I just got a new iPad air and also own an iPhone 5. I'm receiving most of my text messages on the iPhone, but some are now also showing up on my iPad. I don't want them on my iPad, any suggestions on how to get them to stop showing up n my iPad?
Go to settings>messages>send and receive at>you can be reached by iMessages at> Uncheck your phone number and you can select your Apple ID emal address if you want to use that for messages.

I am trying to edit my music list and then sync it to my iPhone 5 so I don't run out of storage space. However, I see the check marks on the iTunes library but am unable to uncheck them? How do I manually edit what will be synced to my phone? (the check marks are not bolded, does this mean they are not in my library but only on my phone?)
You uncheck the music in your iTunes library on your computer and along with sync only checked songs and videos selected under the Summary selection for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, only checked songs in your iTunes library will be transferred to your iPhone or remain on your iPhone and the unchecked songs in your iTunes library that are currently on your iPhone will be removed when syncing.
Or make use of iTunes playlists and choose selected playlists, albums, artists under the Music selection for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes and select the playlists below that you want transferred to your iPhone.

Very slow Mac when streaming music to Airport Express
