ORDSYS.ORDDOC generating "No XML provider found"

Hi all, in my DB table there is a column of type ORDSYS.ORDDOC. I tried to drag&drop the correspondent ViewObject inside a UIX page, but suddently the graphical display of the page is replaced by the following error:
Error 500 occurred:
java.lang.NullPointerException: No XML Provider found
at oracle.cabo.servlet.xml.PageDescriptionUtils.createPageDescription(Unknown Source)
at oracle.cabo.servlet.xml.DefaultPageDescriptionCache.createPageDescription(Unknown Source)
The problem is that the error propagates to all uix pages of the project! I tried deleting both the table and the related bindings, but the error still persists. If I compile the project i get
Error: No XMLProvider found
for each uix page.
Only when i delete the entire project and open previous copy the problem disappears.
Anybody knows what happens inside JDev? A similar problem at design time amazes me!!!!!!

Hello I figured out the problem. The web.xml file has both DefaultFileUpload and OrdFileUpload settings. After i removed one of them, It works fine.

Uploading xml file using ADF UIX and storing in ordsys.orddoc field

I am using ADF UIX and I am using the messageFileUpload tag to upload an XML file into the database (the file contains special characters like hyphens, apostrophes, $, etc). Once in the database I have a procedure which puts it into a clob field using the dbms_lob package. However, what exactly does ordsys.orddoc do with special characters? If I debug my procedure I see that 1 of 4 hyphens and 3 apostrophes have been turned into a character that looks like a square. Anyone know what is going on?

It should pass binary information only, no conversion at all.
The conversion is likely in messageFileUpload or the dbms_lob package you are using. Or you may need to tell DBMS_LOB the character set the XML file is in?
You may want to upload the file using the interMedia tag library... Using uploadFormData?

Generate prov.xml for Creative Cloud. Return Code 27

We're trying to follow this guide (Creative Cloud Help | Using Adobe Provisioning Toolkit Enterprise Edition) to serialize a package (or something). We're stuck on generating prov.xml. My best attempt at an entry is:

It says half of this is optional, but I'm skeptical.
Anyway, I'm getting return code 27. This indicates that it is unable to edit the prov.xml file specified. I didn't specify a prov.xml file, I'm trying to make one. The syntax I'm using differs from what I found on the page I linked, as that was giving me syntax errors. I lifted this off someone else's code. I've tried just about every variation I can think of. Any help would be appreciated.

How to generate an XML Configuration File for EBS Source Type

We have installed SES, I want to integrate it to enable for searching repository contracts.
In the sources I have selected oracle.apps.okc.repository.textsearch.server.RepHeaderSearchExpVO.
For this source I need to specify the Configuration URL.
Here I need to provide the path for configuration XML file. But before that I need to generate the XML Configuration file.
Is there any steps on how we can create this XML file.

How to generate an XML file from SSIS (based on an XSD)?

I have an XSD that describes an XML format. I also have a sample XML file as well from the XSD. I am trying to understand SSIS's capability to generate the XML file in an ETL process. I would need to create the XML file based on the XSD that
I have. It is safe to assume that all the data elements are in the DB that I am incorporating in the ETL and it is also safe to assume that the data in the XML may be from multiple different tables (so massaging is probably necessary).
Would this be a job for C#/VB or can I do this through an SSIS process/task? Please help me understand my options. Thanks.

data in a .mdf file in order to create the required .xml file. Having queried SQL Server and received my data in "myDataSet" I can use C# to create the .xml ignoring the schema using

Unable to generate users.xml file

Hi All,
I have installed OCS 10.1.2.0.0.and applied the cumulative patchset and now on OCS 10.1.2.3.0
Now i am trying to migrate users and their mail box from exchange 5.5 running on Windows NT 4 server.
I have installed the esmigration tool on a machine running Windows XP SP2, Outlook 2003 client installed. I ran the tool and successfully created the system profile. Once done when i try extract users which should generate a users.xml file, i get an error saying "Unable to generate users.xml" file. When i look at the log file i can see the error which says invalid domain which is not true. The domain name is right and i have repeated the process more than 10 times, but still keep getting the same error. I tried using IMPA to IMAP as well as with MBOX , but still the same error. Has anyone seen such a behavior ?
So i tried to choose plan B. As i do not have too many users i decided to export the users mail box as a pst file and then import it. This is not a problem, but what i do not know is that what do i need to do to enable coexistence mode on exchange, meaning when an email arrives, it first goes to exchange and then forwards a copy to OCS.Please note on my research i have found some notes on how to do this on exchange 2000 on a windows 2000 server with AD, but i couldn't find anything for Exchange 5.5 on NT4.
Any assistance on this would be very helpful.

Hi Dipak,
If you do the migration from the Windows 2000 machine with outlook 2000 installed, and connected to Exchange 5.5 via an admin profile, then you will not see this issue.
In case, it is not possible for you to move to new machine where above said environment exists, then you can request for a patch of migration tool that has fix for this issue. Please send an email to [email protected] or [email protected], for the fixed version.
For your co-existence query: Please make use of alternate-recipient setup that exists on exchange 5.5 user properties. So, the emails will be routed to both exchange, and ocs server mailboxes of that user.

I'm not convince on the 'nested_lineno' parameter can anybody tell me how this can be done.

I'm forced to use ordsys.orddoc since 'interMedia Code Wizard for the PL/SQL Gateway' won't generate the code for a clob it only recognizes intermedia objects.
since orddoc.comments is a clob I cannot see why there shouldn't be a way to index it. What's the use of storing documents in ORDDOC when you can't search them??

SAP generating invalid XML for ORDERS05 IDOC

We have XI 3.0 SP 20 installed here.
I just started working with XI/PI, so bear with me if this has been asked - I already searched SAP for a note on this and couldn't find one.
We have integrated sales orders into another system - we have SAP generating an IDOC to be sent when a sales order is created. We use XI to route it to a 3rd party provider.
The problem that is occuring is that if an item on the order has an ampersand in the description, the system receiving it tells us that the XML is in error. In examining the message, it is in error as it doesn't properly escape the ampersand.
Is there a workaround or patch for this?
Also - it's not XI that is complaining about the issue, it's our 3rd party provider that is.

I read the blog - and unless SAP support does not have a fix for issue, I'm not going to use the suggestion in the blog for the exact reasons pointed out by Stefan in the most recent comment. I have opened a case for this with SAP support and when I get a resolution on it that is not covered by the blog post I will post it here.
To me, this should work out of the box by SAP and I shouldn't have to write code to work around it. We're not doing anything fancy or special, we just want to send the order to the 3rd party system via an IDOC interface. If I was generating the XML by myself, then I would have to convert the stuff.
I don't think we have < or > in our item descriptions, but I'm sure we have quote characters in there as well.
We have other systems we use XML with and we did have this issue a long time ago and since I was the one doing the programming and had total control over the process, I was the one who had to fix it - so at least I was aware of it.

XL Reporter error - MetaInfo.xml not found

User encountered following error message when running XL Reporter reports on Excel 2003 running on OS Windows 7 with window administrator rights. However, same XL reports can be generated on Excel 2003 when running on OS Windows XP on another B1 client workstation.

No, as far as I know. Most IDEs are focusing on annotations. However the next releases of Dali for Eclipse and JDeveloper will provide orm.xml creation and editing support. Dali 1.0 is scheduled to be released as part of the coordinated Europa Eclipse release in June of next year--but milestone builds will be available sooner. Check out http://www.eclipse.org/dali and the milestone plan available from the sidebar on the right. The JDeveloper release date has not been finalized.

SQL Developer generating an XML Schema for a table

I hope I've put this question in to correct area of the forum!
My question is how do you generate an XML schema of a table layout in SQL Developer?
You can generate an XML schema for the DATA, but I just want to generate one with all the column definitions etc.
The annoying thing is I managed to do this the other day, but after attempting again for several hours I've forgotten how to do it :-(

This xml file is required to upgrade the ECC_DIMP from 600 to 605

Wrote to SAP. Got the below mentioned reply from them
Please make sure that in transaction SMSY, in the Header Data tab for
the system you want to upgrade, both ERP 6 and EHP5 for ERP 6 are added
as product versions and also active. Information about why this is
needed can be found in note 1464712.
Please don't forget to choose a relevant product instance for ERP 6.
After this is done, please enter the system in an ERP 6 logical
component. Please add the new ERP 6 logical component to another
solution, and please proceed to opening the Maintenance Optimizer
transaction from the solution with the ERP 6 logical component.
The option to choose should be 'Enhancement Package install'.
The technical usage to choose is Discrete Ind.& Mill Products.
If somehow you are not able to choose technical usage Discrete Ind.&
Mill Products in the technical usage screen in Maintenance Optimizer:
please check note 1324838 for the required product instances of ERP 6
in SMSY.
