Orphan lines in OKS_K_SALES_CREDITS table

Hello,
We have ~2000 lines in the sales credits table for which either the cle_id or chr_id does not exist. Can anyone throw some light on this as to what causes this? Is it OK to ignore/delete these lines?

Hi Nagamohan,
Some of the contracts had a few lines deleted, but that did not delete lines from the salescredits table....wonder why, since mostly, data from all of the related tables does get deleted when a contract line is deleted from a table. All of these orphan lines have chr_id and some have cle_id populated, just the related line/contract does not exist. We are looking for upgrade to R12, so I wouldn't go through the pain of TAR :-).
I did think that it should be ok to get rid of those, but needed to know for sure.

How do I execute some code when a line of a table control is selected?

Hi,
I would like to execute some code when a line of a table control is selected. At the moment I have to select one or multiple rows and then press enter, this forces a screen refresh and my code is executed but I would like the code to be executed as soon as any line is selected.
I've done something like this using ALV grids and object orientated code but is there a way of doing this in a normal non-OO table control?

Hi,
U need to declare a char1 field for marking (mark field). This will reflect with value 'X' in your tcontrol internal table for all the selected rows.
Now u need to handle the okcode for enter in your PAI.
There u need to loop through the table for all marked fields.
There after u can do what ever u want.

Copy selected lines in the table control

Hi friends,
I Have a screen 200 in which i have a button COPY and table control.
In my table control i have 6 lines of data.
now my requirement is when i select any lines ie : let us say i ahve selected 1 , 3 , 5 lines of my table control and when i click on the button COPY of that screen. i need those 3 selected lines 1 , 3 , 5 to be copied again in the table control
example :

As you can see everything is the same but on column LX_HRS, the first example one is not doing anything addition but on the second example is now doing addition. This additions were done manually, how can I tell crystal to add each line, in the example above, the

Copy more lines in the Table Control

Hi ,
I have created a table control in one of my mod pool programs,
I have to paste lines from Excel (for instance) to this table control, but it copies only to the lines in the table control which I see in the screen. if I have more lines to copy than the lines which I see in the screen, it doesn't copy it.
plz help me in this regard.......

I think you have to Program for this in Special Button like in Select-Option's (EXTENSION) Button Window you have an Button Upload from Clipboard (Shift + F12) just left side of the Cancel button.

Number of displayed lines in a table

Hello colleagues,
We are using a table with a master column (tree). Additional we are using an input field where a user can enter a number so that the displayed lines can be change at runtime.
Problem:
I would like to know the displayed number of lines as it is displayed in the button line of the table in the view (where a user can jump direct to a line) - but I do not know how I get it.
Question:
How do I get the content of the max number of available lines in the button of the displayed table?

thanks for the reply - the problem is not solved with the suggestion (because I do not get the maximum number of line displayed).
I did the following:
On the very first time if "modifyView" will be executed I do a loop over the table. If the maximum number is reached within the loop I set this number - if not I set the number of loops.
Here is a code example:
   DO 10 TIMES.
      ADD 1 TO l_counter.
      CLEAR elem_tabletree.
      elem_tabletree = node_tabletree->get_element( index = l_counter ).
      IF elem_tabletree IS INITIAL.

How to transfer the contents of a line of a table control to second screen?

I have a table control and I have entered some contents in one line of a table control .
When i click on this line and then click on the detail button on the screen , it should take me to another screen and whatever I have entered in the table control should be transferred to the second screen .

When u r going to create a table in forms it will show the all details regarding the tables
like -> color
-> width etc...
From there u can do that .
u can also select the table format as all ready defined formats i.e available in he same screen.

How do I extend one line of a table to two pages?

I have the problem, that I want a lot of text in one line of the table. Since I have a lot of long and in between short lines, I get a lot of free space on my print-outs as the lines with a lot of text are all put on the next page. And the maximum size of one line is one page. I know from MSword that the lines can be carried to the next page. Is that possible with pages, too?

You split the line into two .
As it was explained here a lot of times, a row is an object which isn't allowed to cross pages boundaries.

No page break between table header and first line of the table main area

Hi all.
I'm printing a form which contains a lot of tables. Sometimes while printing the table header line remains at the bootom of the page and the lines of internal table are printed on the next page (also with header because i have marked 'at page break' in the header). How is it possible not to break header line of 'Table'-node and the first line of internal table?

try to use page protection......
create a folder and place the text that r to be displayed without break.........
and check the checkbox page protection.
I think you cannot put an entire table in a folder & turn "Page Protection" on simultaneously.
Any ideas?

Different line style in tables

I've been looking for a way to change the line style of the lines in my tables, i.e. have dashed lines, but when I select the line in question and go the line style section of the graphics tab, there is only the standard solid line. Is it the case that you just cannot change the line styles of lines in tables? I use tables to layout a lot documents that I create and this missing feature would be quite an annoyance to me when it is something I was always able to do in Word.

as Frank said, you cannot change the style of the lines in tables. You could send feedback to Apple to get this feature in a future version of Pages.
As a workaround, you could mark a line and set the stroke to None. Then insert a line from the shapes menu and set it's stroke to the style you want. Set both the line and the table to "Fixed on page" in Wrap inspector. Then move the line to the place of the table you want it to be. If you group the line(s) and the table, you could set Object Placement back to "Moves with text".
Obviously, it's best to use this workaround when you're quite sure that size an position of the row don't change to which you want to add the line object.

Using Numbers, I need to time-stamp each line in a table for when it was entered

I need to time-stamp each line in a table for when it was entered.
I have a formula which is
"=IF(F18="","",NOW())"
it gives me the answer I want, but every time I edit any data in the formula is recalculates the date/time to reflect the most recent edit. I do not want to do this. I am open to any and all solutions including using a script. I do not really know anything about scripts except that they are really easy to use once it's written.
I have a formula i use in excel but it requires circular references in excel. I tried using this formula in numbers but I get the error that says I cannot reference a cell that references back to the cell i’m inputting the formula into (circular reference. It is easy to use in excel just by limiting the # of iterations in preferences. I can’t seem to find any such preference in numbers. Do you know of one? here is the formula:
"=IF(D4=”",”",IF(B4=”",NOW(),B4))"
I use it to time stamp each line in a spreadsheet. It is the only way to keep all the previous line from recalculating everytime I add a new line. If I can’t use this formula, do you know of a way to timestamp each line without having it update everytime I add a line or edit the form?

Check the Insert menu:
The highlighted item is slightly misnamed, requiring a bit more than a simple selection (or keypress combination*) to act as a time stamp.
Simply choosing the menu item willproduce the result shown in A2: A time and date value is entered, but only the Date part is displayed.
Setting the cell format to Date and Time, with both parts displayed (as I've done in column B) does show both parts of the Date and Time value, but as you can see, the time part is set to midnight, as it is in any cell where you have entered only the Date part of a Date and Time value. The date was entered here in the same manner as in A3.
To enter both the current Date and current Time, the process has a few more steps:
Select the cell
Go Insert > Date & Time
Before confirming the entry, double-click the cell (now showing the Date) to open this small dialogue:
Click the pop-up menu under Choose Date format:
Choose the last item in the list.
Results as shown in A4 and B4 of the table above.

Read_text no of line in a table footer

With the help of Read_Text FM we get many no of lines in internal table. I want to print these lines in Table footer at smart forms main window. But my problem is that itu2019s not printing all lines. Is there any limitation for no of lines in table footer?

I tried some more on this and found its only print first 355 lines. Itu2019s wonu2019t print if no of lines 366, in such case program comes out from smart forms with out any error message.

To change one or more lines using a condition, use the following statement:
<b>MODIFY itab FROM wa TRANSPORTING f1 f2 ... WHERE cond.</b>
This processes all of the lines that meet the logical condition cond. The logical expression cond can consist of more than one comparison. In each comparison, the first operand must be a component of the line structure. If the table lines are not structured, the first operand can also be the expression TABLE_LINE. The comparison then applies to the entire line. If the line type of the internal table contains object reference variables as component comp or if the entire line type is a reference variable, the attributes of the attr object to which the respective line reference points can be specified as comparison values using comp->attr or table_line->attr.
The work area wa, which must be compatible with the line type of the internal table, contains the new contents, which in turn will be assigned to the relevant table line using the TRANSPORTING addition. Unlike the above MODIFYstatement, the TRANSPORTING addition is not optional here. Furthermore, you can only modify the key fields of the internal table if it is a standard table. If at least one line is changed, the system sets sy-subrc to 0, otherwise to 4.
