OSB insert in not evaluating the expression

I am using insert in the proxy service of OSB and and my expression is like this:
Expression : <fcs:appId>$body/*/appId/node()</fcs:appId>
My problem is that it's not evaluating the expression. It's inserting this as text ($body/*/appId/node()).
Any idea, why?

I assume you want to get the value of the tag appid, then the correct expression is <fcs:appId>{$body/*/appId/text()}</fcs:appId>
In case there is namespace defined with your xml tag then you should be using it as <fcs:appId>{$body/*/*:appId/text()}</fcs:appId>

OSB file Write, not naming the file with specific name.

Where PS will De-queue the JMS queue and route using Service call out to BS. And the BS will place the file in location. I could do this easily. BUT the thing is that i could not name the file perfectly with the intended file name. to build the BS i used .JCA file , .WSDL file, XML file from Jdeveloper. and imported to osb console. i could write the file as follows..

i am getting this error when i process test from proxy services then i may use route and change it as Use Routing Options on the Service Callout and override the header (jca.file.FileName).
but the thing is when i test from Business services also i am getting the same garbage name on both window and linux.

Added AirPort express to extreme but my iPad does not see the express

I wanted to extend my network due to "dead spots" in the house and patio but no change after adding the AirPort express to my extreme. It set up fine and both with a green light but the bars on the iPad have not changed. It still has a slow connection despite being in the same room as the express. I set it up as a N-device (the express) per the instructions to extend a network. Our home phone is 5.8GHz & should not interfere. Apple Tv & iPhone 4 work but did before. What have I missed??

It sounds like the Express is not "extending" Quick check points:
On the AirPort Extreme
Open AirPort Utility - click Manual Setup
Click the Wireless tab below the icons
Make sure that there is a check mark next to "Allow this network to be extended"
Update to save any changes
On the AirPort Express
Open AirPort Utility - click Manual Setup
Click the Wireless tab
Wireless Mode = Extend a wireless network
Wireless Network Name = Same name as the Extreme network
Make sure there is a check next to "Allow wireless clients"
Security = Same setting as Extreme
Password = Same as Extreme
Update to save any changes
If you have a laptop handy, turn off the wireless on the laptop and temporarily connect it to the ethernet port on the Express with an ethernet cable. Open your browser. If your Express is "extending", you will have internet access.

OSB Error propagation not propagating the original error

Hi,
I'm having trouble with understanding how to propagate error from inner to outer flow.
This is the scenario:
I have a flow listening on MQ queue, and in turn performs callouts to 3 inner flow's (protocol is local).
Inside the inner flows there is no error handler, and all the handling is performed at the outer flow.
The problem is that the error that is being caught is not the one I throw, instead I get a general BEA-380000 error.
(when I put an error handler at the inner flow and print $fault I see the real error).
Also I cannot put any "reply" operations inside any error handler because this will commit the XA transaction, and will prevent the message from going to backout queue - which I need to happen.
How can I make the error propagate correctly?

that's because the service error handler will wrap the fault in his own format
so in each service error handler you need to recreate the soap fault with the error stack, and reply that back to the calling service, otherwise you will loose the error details already in the proxy service in which the fault occures.
propagating the error without build the logic in each proxy service won't work if you ask me (and there also isn't a simple checkbox to enable anything on this)

I have created Workflow to send an Email using Requested Start date concept of a Task.This is for sending a E-mail to the customer when contract end date-60 Days.
I have done all Bindings and I am getting The date and time from BOR which I am using to triger an Event.
I am getting these type of Errors:

Could not insert Data in to the table

I have some pbm in inserting values in to sqlserver database table.I could not insert values to the
table having varchar datatype fields.partyType is a field name of varchar type.when i try to insert
"LCL" for that field it throws following exception.

Custom Tag not evaluating expression in attribute

I have a custom tag that needs to take dynamic values in the attributes, but I can't seem to get the values "interpreted" correctly. I have the <rtexprvalue> tag set to "true" in my .tld file, which I thought was the only thing that was needed in order to accomplish what I am trying to do. However, that does not seem to be the case.
I am using WebLogic (8.1.4) and their <netui> tags, along with JSTL tags (1.0).
An example of what my code looks like is the following:

<netui:select ... />
</test:myTag>and
<c:set var="myIdx" value="<netui:content value='{container.index}' />" />
<test:myTag id="1" idx="<c:out value='${myIdx}' />">

</test:myTag>Neither of the above approaches has worked. In my code for my Tag.java file, I get the literal string values of <netui:content value='{container.index}' /> and <c:out value='${myIdx}' />, respectively, in my idx property.
Can someone give me any hints as to what I may be doing wrong?

their expressions. Fine. Which in turn means weblogic has some custom expression evaluator.

and you have to build in that feature into yourtag

It's like this - expression language is supported by default in all containers that implement the j2ee 1.4 spec (servlet 2.4/jsp 2.0). Additionally you should also declare your web application to adhere to the 2.4 standards (through the schema definition in web.xml). In applications that refer to the 2.3 dtd but are run on a 2.4 compliant container you can set the 'isELIgnored' attribute to false and use EL. This works because your container anyways supports it.
If your container doesnt provide support for EL (outside the jstl tags) as is the case with weblogic 8.1, then you can still use expressions by using something like the [url http://jakarta.apache.org/commons/el/]apache common evaluator package. The difference being that you will have to call the evaluator classes to evaluate the attribute.

EL expressions not evaluating after JSF 1.1 --- 1.2 upgrade.

I am having a problem with EL expressions not evaluating in a JSF application that I just upgraded from Apache MyFaces JSF 1.1 to JSF-RI 1.2 and from Tomcat 5.5.25 to 6.0.26. After the upgrade the entire application is working fine except for EL expressions.
I was wondering if I am missing a JAR file or something.
Basically, I have prepopulated input text boxes that render the EL expression instead of its evaluated result. Example:
INPUT [#{sessionBean.result}] instead of INPUT [tedsResult].

Did you find a solution for your problem? I am asking because I have to solve a somewhat similar problem. Our system admin updated Tomcat from version 6.0.20 to 6.0.26 and now my JSF application wont evaluate EL expressions either.

The expression is not being displayed in the alert inbox

I have created an expression in 'Long and Short Text' tab present in the ALRTCATDEF transaction screen.
The expression is "test Error in message &SXMS_MSG_GUID&". However if i goto alert inbox, this expression is not getting displayed. I tried putting this expression under Message title, Short text and Long text tabs. But no change in the result.
In the above expression, SXMS_MSG_GUID is a container variable declared in ALRTCATDEF transaction screen.
Same is the situation irrespective of the container variable being used - SXMS_ERROR_CAT etc.,
I appreciate your early response.

Without using BPM, you can think/try out with triggering an alert from UDF:

Otherwise, you can use email functionality to notify the error message rather an alert....so that you can customize your output format/or error message required.

If the SIM is out of your phone, find my phone needs a data connection, so could use wifi - IF in range of a wifi and one that it can join (ie. a known network or one that is wholly open so no login required). Your phone could also simple be turned off, so not findable, or it may have been restored (plugged into iTunes and restored as new) again, making it permanently unfindable. Honestly, for someone stealing an iPhone, this is likely the first thing they do - restore as new and it is theirs forever.
Find my iPhone is tied to the users iCloud account - the find function is part of the iCloud account's services and it communicates with the iCloud servers over a data connection - either wifi or 3G.
Have you set up your iCloud account on your replacement phone, and is it working properly on that phone?

What is the problem specifiaclly?
If the images are intended for web use I would recommend converting them to sRGB which could be done with Edit > Convert to Profile or with File > Save for Web, but as including a Save step in Actions and applying them as Batch can sometimes cause problems I would go with regular converting.
You could also try Image Processor Pro.

How do I view and open all my files again that are on my external hard drive?? Error message saying 'The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer' Three options are Initialize, Ignore or Eject.

I have recently purchased Toshiba 1TB hard drive and I set it up and I was able to transfer all my files onto it such as my music, photos, documents. I had correctly ejected and used it again and all these files were safely stored and accessible afterwards. However after I rebooted my computer as it had been going slow and I had too much clogging it up once I reconnected the external hard drive I have error message saying 'The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer' Three options are Initialize, Ignore or Eject. How do I access all my files? I set it up to work on both mac and windows. I have tried both another mac and windows computer and same issue occurs?? I am worried that all my personal files are gone but am confused as the drive has had absolutely no damage to it as it was in a very short time frame and its never left the same spot. Therefore I need to attempt to use my external hard drive with a machine that boasts OS X 10.6.5 or above and then it should work?
