OSB: START DUMP GlobalOperationsPOJO
Hi there,
any way to disable these nasty reoccuring messages in the log file?
OSB 11.1.1.7
******************** START DUMP GlobalOperationsPOJO **********************
<xml-fragment xmlns:con="http://www.bea.com/wli/domain/config"><con:monitoring>true</con:monitoring><con:reporting>true</con:reporting><con:logging>true</con:logging><con:sla-alerting>true</con:sla-alerting><con:pipeline-alerting>true</con:pipeline-alerting><con:result-caching>true</con:result-caching></xml-fragment>
******************** END DUMP GlobalOperationsPOJO **********************
I would like to disable them for the default WLS log severity (so please don't tell me to increase the log level or even create a log filter).
Since I haven't done OSB for a while, since when do these messages show up and why??
thanks!
Hi pradeep,
for short dump information check ST22
If ODS activation fails because of invalid characters the first step would be to try to insert the new character in the allowed character set in BW. The invalid character can be seen in the error message of the ODS activation. Goto transaction RSKC and insert the character at the end and click on execute. After this is done activate the ODS object and it should go through sucessfully

My iphone 4 has starting dumping to home screen.
It started with contacts, now its doing it in settings. I tap the contacts button in phone and it dumps back to the home screen. I'm also having trouble with icloud. I can't sync the iphone calendar with my new ipad 2. I tried the suggestions on this site but when I went into "mail, contacts calendars" in settings it dumped me back to the home screen. Any suggestions?
If you have tried resetting the router by powering the router off followed by powering the modem off for 5 minutes and then power the modem on allow the modem to reset before powering the router back on with no change, go to Settings > General > Reset and select Reset Network Settings. This will erase all saved wi-fi networks from your iPhone and require re-joining every wi-fi network your iPhone has access to when returning within range of such a network.

Bug: Stack trace when starting Jdev 10.1.3, Solved (kind of)
I've been using 10.1.3 for a while now and it has been relatively trouble-free. However,
late last week it started dumping the following trace at startup. I haven't changed
anything recently that I recall. I did some poking around looking for anything that
looked wrong or perhaps a log file that would tell me what was wrong but that's
the whole needle in a haystack thing.
Any ideas on where to start looking for a solution this problem? This is an older version
of JDeveloper but I was not able to find an internally available later version. Any pointers
on that front would be appreciated if that would get me back to writing code.
Thanks!

cfreiwalOK next step was to install JDeveloper 11g RC4. It wouldn't load from the web from Firefox but a coworker had a copy of the zip file.
I set it up and it, seemingly successfully converted my project from 10g to 11g. However
it's still dumping a stack this time when trying to set up the JDK.
Emacs is looking good at this point.

Changing background dump dest , does not work
Hi,
i was asked to change the background dump dest location on RAC (10.2.0.5) environment.i just use below command to do this
alter system set background_dump_dest='/newlocation' scope=both;
its successfully completed. but now new alerts should be write down on this new location. and all other process files. but still old location is being used for this alert log and other processes files. even i flushed and remove alert log file from old location . but oracle generate alert log automatically in old location. so kinldy can any one tell me how to change this parameter so that it start dumping alert logs in new location ???
regards,I would have tried to change in all instances with:
alter system set background_dump_dest=<new location> sid='*';But on my 10.2.0.1 RAC test this only works for trace files: to have alert log in new location I need to restart each instance like for rolling patching. -
OSB Proxy Service Execution Timeout
Dear Experts,
How can I configure Oracle Service Bus proxy service timeout exectution? My scenario requires many service callout.
Thanks in advance.
Mike.DiMike,
Yes, OSB proxy will continue execution if it has started it's own transaction until JTA timeout/any other service call timeout/any error occurs, whichever occurs first(in this case flow moves to error handler). If proxy is executing in the context of global transaction which was started at source then if global transaction gets aborted then proxy's execution will also get aborted.
I will start proxy through test console. This will fall in the first case (where OSB starts it's own transaction)

OSB 1031: proxy service and publishing JMS messages with no duplicates
Hi all,
we have a Web Service proxy that publishes messages into a JMS queue. The queue is persistent and the related connection factory is XA enabled.
The proxy does the call to the JMS business service from a route node.
If a failure occurrs after the publishing returns successfully, the caller receives back an error and it will try again to call the web service proxy.
As the message has been published successfully and was not rollbacked by the proxy, the second call could put on the JMS queue a duplicate message.
As far as we know only with JMS proxy service, OSB starts a transaction within the pipeline or are we wrong ?
What do you suggest in order to avoid such a scenario described above ?
Thanks and regards

Time Machine dumping backups when it shouldn't!
I've had this problem from the outset of getting my new machine about a week ago. TM starts dumping back ups at about the 15th or so hourly backup. There is plenty of space on my external 1TB LaCie D2 Ext. hard drive...I've tried everything as far as troubleshooting, including doing an archive and install on my interior 640 gig hard drive. But TM just won't get past the hourly back-up. It keeps deleting back-ups sometime 2 or 3 at a time. I'd like to be able to use Time Machine, but right now I'm just going to be happy with a Super Duper back up unless any of you genius'....grin...can help...Otherwise my machine is working great and I truly love it! I'm new to Leopard, but have been a Mac guy for 25+ years....Thanks for any ideas or help guys!
Zzutty wrote:
Hmm...OK let me see if I've got this right....My initial TM backup was on May 17 at 2AM...So seeing as it's been more than 24 hours...It will begin to delete some..or all..of the preceeding hourly backups?
Yes. Only one will be kept. The rest will be deleted.
Also, it is still scheduling backups every hour...When does it start to schedule daily?
TM will continue to schedule backups every hour as long as TM is turned on. TM doesn't "schedule" daily backups. After one day has passed, TM deletes all of the hourly backups except one. That one becomes the daily. Daily backups are kept for 30 days. After then, only one out of the oldest 7 dailies is kept. The others are deleted. The one that is kept becomes your "weekly" backup. Weekly backups don't get deleted until your TM drive fills up. Then they are purged to make room for your new hourly backups.
The last couple of backups had no deletions, but the one before that after it was asleep, it deleted 3 of them.Making it 15 kept I guess I just don't really understad how TM is supposed to work.
The three that were deleted were deleted because they were more than 24 hours old. The remaining 15 were kept because they were less than 24 hours old. If you had kept your Mac on overnight, you'd have 24 hourly backups. But since your Mac was asleep for nine hours, only 15 were made.
I'm dealing with an Apple rep and he's had me send over some data to give to the tech support guys. Thanks for your patience guys. I'm not a newbie, but am also far from a tech genius either...I am new to Leopard, but am really loving this new machine and OS. Much different than my old G4 MDD and Tiger.. -

JRockit Crashes with empty dump file.
---Symptom:
JRockit creates an empty dump file and dies without fully starting
Dump file looks like this:
[user@computer some_dir]$ cat jrockit.25058.dump
===== BEGIN DUMP ===============================
[user@computer some_dir]$
---Cause:
ulimit -s 2048
This limits the stack size which apparently causes problems for JRockit.
This limit had been set to workaround a known issue in the Sun JVM.
---Workaround:
Use system default stack size or a size larger than 2048.
---Environment:
Java:
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_04-b05)
BEA WebLogic JRockit(TM) 1.4.2_04 JVM (build ari-31788-20040616-1032-linux-ia32, Native Threads, GC strategy: parallel)
OS:
Linux DL580 2.4.21-15.ELsmp #1 SMP Thu Apr 22 00:18:24 EDT 2004 i686 i686 i386 GNU/LinuxBandas,
The crash most likely happens because you have very little memory left on your system.
In the dump you can find the following message:
"C Heap : 3 memory allocations have failed"
This indicates that three malloc have failed internally. Given additional information in the dump it looks like an allocation did fail during garbage collection internally within the JVM that caused this crash. We have been working at improving the error message on these kinds of complete out of memory situations.
The best thing you can do is to reduce the java-heap size which will make more native memory available.
Another thing you can try if you haven't is to boot up windows in /3GB mode which will give JRockit access to the an additional 1GB of memory. (Your machine seem to have 3GB+ memory so booting Windows with the /3GB switch will allow JRockit to take advantage of that memory)
I hope this helps -
RMAN dumps cccccccc_1_1 files in $OH/dbs
Hello,
I have had an Oracle 9i-R2 database daily RMAN backup job on AIX 5.3 working fine for more than a year. Recently, a few weeks back it started dumping cccccccc_1_1 files (cc...c are lowercase letters or digits) in $OH/dbs with no apparent reason. The file size varies from a few MB to more than 100MB.
Since RMAN task finishes with no error (exit status = 0), I only spotted the issue when the file system where $OH resides neared to be full.
I have tried searching for similar problems and nothing came up so far.
I am tackling it by purging older than 3 days files for now, which is kind of a surrogate solution. Instead of patching the symptom I would rather prefer addressing the root cause, if that's possible.
Has anybody encountered a similar issue?
Any kind of useful feedback would be highly appreciated.
Regards,
Dan
Hello everyone,
I have reviewed all responses so far. Thank you very much.
I have manually run a test backup also, by adding FORMAT after 'archivelog', which does seem to work ok - i.e. no backup files in $OH/dbs.
Now I'll leave the adjusted job to run tonight and see what comes up tomorrow in the log.
Regards,
Dan

I did a dump on index leaf block, and I found "header address" doesn't match rdba, what's the "header address"? I also found several leaf blocks have the same "header address".

sorry for my delayed answer. Sap community network somehow updated my user profile and now I can't log into my old habus81 account (wrote them an e-mail about the user merge, so...).
Anyway, thanks for hint! The user with this Mac is an extern and he's not at HQ very often, so as soon as he'll be back, I'll try to adjust the language code page and I will provide a feedback with result.

Hi
When i test my proxy using Test console i can see values of variables body, inbound etc at each stage.
My question is how data flows from one stage to another? Is it that values of variables are converted into xml beans before proceeding to next stage and those beans again converted back to xmls/put in internal cache and assigned to variables?
I mean if this is the case, I should minimize the number of stages to avoid this to-and-fro transformations.
Currently i have 10 stages in each pipeline for visibility of code.
Thanks and Regards,
Swapnil Kharwadkarmy understanding is there is not such thing as transformation of variables from XmlObject to XML and viceversa. Variables are either simple types (String, int etc) or XmlObject, and always be kept this way. When you manipulate a complex variable, it's always on the XmlObject that you are acting.
My understanding also is that there is a Message Context, instantiated when OSB starts processing the message in a Proxy Service, and all variables have a Message Context scope, not a "stage" scope.
I might be horribly wrong, and I would be happy to be shown my mistakes. -

Thanks and Kind Regards,
BasheerHi,
Thanks for the reply.
I have already checked this note .This note comes with the support pack SAPKB64022 640 and we have upgraded to SP SAPKB64022 640.The wired thing is it started dumping after the SP load.
Thanks and Kind Regards,
