Outlook 2010 Signature: Resizes GIF-pictures when you do not have 100% dpi set on display settings

Our automatic signature tool creates signatures for all our employees. The signature works fine until people with non-100% dpi setting on display (e.g. medium 125% or Larger 150% in Control Panel > Display) try to edit their generated
signature and saves. Suddenly the images get resized and blurry, even if it is not displayed as resized when save the updated signature.
It works fine to edit and save if you have display DPI set to 100%.
The company logo is 127x38 pixels, 2,15KB GIF file.
Is this a known bug or something else? I'm not sure its fair to blame the signature-tool as it works okay before the editor has been doing its stuff.
Another strange thing. If I have edited a signature in 125% and saves it. I send an email and the signature logo is blurry.  But if I change display DPI to 100% and send another email (logoff and logon first to change dpi) then the logo is fine again.
Seems like the logo is bound to text size

Our company is having this exact same problem.  We have Outlook 2010 SP2 and Windows 7 SP1 Enterprise.  As the OP we have a signature creation tool that helps us create these HTML signatures dynamically.  OP did you ever resolve this issue?
However, in our situation our logo gif image is already 96 DPI.  Our HTML signatures work perfectly fine when Windows DPI is set to 100%.  But, as soon as you go to 125% or 150% we have problems when saving email drafts and sending emails where the
logo increases in size.
Here is an example of the HTML code for my current signature.  Any help on this issue would be appreciated.  Is there a way to prevent Outlook from doing this when DPI is increase from default.  We have a lot of users that need to increase
the DPI to see their PC better.

You can't add storage to the iPod. Yo can go to Settings>General>Usage and see what is taking up a lot of storage so yoknw what to delete.
    Also maybe:
Connect the iPod to your computer and look at the storage used by the various categories as shown in the colored bargarph in iTunes.
    Come back with the results.
An "other" larger than about 1 1/2 GB indicates corrupted files.

Next, usually restoring from backup eliminated the corrupted files. However, sometimes restoring to factory settings/new iPod is required.

  • How to re-size pictures when you don't have .mac account

I don't have a .mac account so it is a pain to email pictures stored in iPhoto.
Some of my pictures are too big to be emailed and all i found so far to re-size the file is to go to File / Export and try out diff. window sizes until it works. Not great when you want to share 20 pic.
Any one knows of another way?
    Thx

    What email are you using?
The easiest way to send pictures is to use Apple's Mail.app that is part of the OS - it DOES NOT require a .Mac account.
If you are using a purely web-based email account, the File>Export method is the easiest.

  • How to make Outlook stop asking for a password when you no longer have a valid password?

Many people have asked how to get Outlook to stop prompting for a password, but the answers given are for people who have a valid password. My question is different. You've graduated from school or left your job. You no longer have access to an Exchange
server. Within Outlook, you have an historical archive of your emails messages and you need to keep them. You can't send email because you no longer have access to that Exchange server, but you have a local cache of the address book in Outlook, which is valuable
to you and you want to continue to be able to use.
How do you keep the account in Outlook but have it stop prompting you for a password in this specific case? Remember, you never will have a valid password to this Exchange server again.

Well you can manually recover your lost PST password with the command Pst19upg.exe -i filename.psx then press enter. After using this
command your pst files will be free from password and you can easily again use your outlook files. You can also recover pst password with the assist of pst password recovery tool.

  • 'You do not have permissions for this item' - MATERIAL SPECIFICATION

    Dear members,
I am trying to access a Material Spec but I am persistently presented with the following message: "'You do not have permissions for this item'".
Funnily, I was previously able to access the specifications but now I am presented with this.
I have the same issue with LIO Profiles.
Does anybody have a known solution for this?
    Kind regards,

This usually occurs when you do not have Read permission according to the workflow status of the specification. Different permissions can be set up for different statuses in WFA (WorkFlow) Administration.
Also, if you are using the Business Units as Security feature (rather than just BU visibility), you could get this message. In this case, you should not be able to see this spec in a search result though, so if you can see it in the material spec search page results, it isn't a BU issue, it is a workflow read permission issue.
There is one additional possibility, which is if your team has implemented the SpecVetoHandler extensibility point, which allows for added custom read permission checks. This is a technical extensibility point configured in the CustomPluginExtensions.xml config.
But most likely, it is a workflow permissions issue. You'll have to ask your workflow adminitrator user(s).
    Regards
    Ron

After reinstallation of Outlook 2010 on my Laptop, Contacts and Calendar did not appeared while they are exist in my iphone 5 by using icloud. What I should do to get Contacts and Calendars in sync with iphone 5?
    Thank you.

So you have business contacts that were lost... do you not have these on a Database in some shape or form? Sounds like you need to invest in a RAID1 backup setup for your computer so you dont have this issue in the future.
As for repairing your problem, sounds like you are going to need to start from scratch at this point or if the data is still on your phone look into a program that can take the information from the phone onto iTunes.

I have created a slide show with pictures and music in Iphoto and when I try export it I get Error You do not have sufficient permission for this operation.  Try to export to an external HD attached, all help would be gratefully received

Have you ever successfully saved anything to that external drive? My first two thoughts are that the drive isn't formatted for the Mac or that you don't have rights to save to the drive.

  • Microsoft Outlook 2010 The delegates settings were not saved correctly. Cannot activate Send-on-behalf-of list. You do not have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object.

I am trying to assign delegation to a user and I receive the following message.
The delegates settings were not saved correctly.  Cannot activate Send-on-behalf-of list.  You do not have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object.
We are using 2010 for the server and client.  There are only specific mailboxes that this is happening for after being migrated from Lotus Notes.  The user can use their mailfile fine however it is just the delegation that appears corrupted somehow.
I'm not sure how to fix this.  I have checked the access through the security tab in ad and that looks fine.
    Any help would be appreciated.

I did some more digging and I solved it.
    This would be the solution:
In Active Directory Users and Computers
    -Click on VIEW
-Click on ADVANCE FEATURES  (this is important otherwise you won't see
the complete list in the next steps)
    -Click on the USERS container
    -Find the problem user's account
-Right mouse the account and click on PROPERTIES
    -Click on the SECURITY tab
-In the top box, click on the SELF account
-In the bottom portion of the screen make sure the READ PERSONAL
INFORMATION  & WRITE PERSONAL INFORMATION  should both be checked for
    ALLOW
If you can compare the permissions for 'SELF' with another user you probably should set them accordingly to be safe. I noticed that for the user where setting delegates (SOB) did
not work, more than those 2 permissions were missing.
    Good luck!

  • After Exchange 2010 SP3 upgrade, UAG publised OWA is throwing a "You do not have permissions to view this folder or page" error

    Hi,
We have an issue with our OWA page.  We are currently publishing OWA via UAG.
We recently upgraded to Exchange 2010 SP3 and then SP3 Rollup7.  Since the upgrade, we are keep getting the following error after entering our credentials on the login page.  I've tried with every possible browser.
You do not have permissions to view this folder or page
Strangely enough, the mobile phones are sending and receiving emails just fine, the phones use the same OWA link, so it's not an authentication issue, the phones login into the UAG servers with no issues.  I can see this on the Active Sessions screen
    on Web Monitor.
I've attempted to connect to the OWA by bypassing the UAG server, so putting in the local OWA address of one of my Exchange servers, it works... so the OWA page is up and running.
No error logs get generated on Web Monitor when we receive the permission error, I think this is because it's past authentication, it's on the Exchange layer.
Any insight would be helpful?  I'm assuming something changed on the Exchange side after the upgrade.
Just in case, I've upgraded the UAG and TMG servers to the latest SP and Rollup packets.
    UAG > SP4
    TMG > SP2 Rollup 5

I've found a solution; UAG requires Basic Authentication over OWA.  For some reason Integrated Windows Authentication got turned on after the SP3 upgrade.
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee921443.aspx
Turning Integrated Windows Authentication off via the Client Access OWA settings resolved the issue.  Though beware, you
have do this on all your Client Access servers.

  • "you do not have permission to do this operation + SP Designer 2010 Error

I am unable to access to my sharepoint site via SharePoint designer. The error is: You do not have permission to do this operation. Ask your web site administrator to change your permissions and then try again, or log on with a user account that has this
    permission...
I am the site owner with full control. I get the error when I click Site Actions - Edit in SharePoint Designer. I also get the error when I open SharePoint Designer directly and click on the link that was created under Recent Sites.
In my Central Admin, the SharePoint Designer Settings is all enabled. i am to beloning to farm administrator and i am teh site collection admin. and  in the machine admin group.
First I created a  claims based authen.  with custom mem.ship /role providers and it was working fine. and i added  users into the users policy user1,user2, user3 etc. and later i  removed these mem.ship /role providers and removed the
"Enable fba authentication " check box.
now i am  unable to login into the  sp designer 2010 and  unable to edit master page.
Also whenever i am trying tio change anything in the _layouts/settings.aspx, like uploading an image or adding a page etc i a egtting teh "error :access denied   sign in  as different user."
i am not able to find out  what caused this issue till now. Did mycustom membership/role provider is causign the pblm?
or Is there any place else that I should check?
    PrasadWT

Seems like an extreme thing to do but these steps worked for me:
Obviously backing up the site collection first using Central Admin's backup site collection feature
Took notes of how the current web application was configured in central admin's Web Application Management |General Setting drp down for things like general & workflow settings, external email, etc
(optional step)  I took a copy of some bespoke settings I had in the web.config file of the web application
Deleted the web application from Central Admin (when deleting the web app I only deleted the IIS web site not the content db in a "just in case" operation but I don't think it matters, just remember to tidy up SQL and include any new content db in your
    SQL maintainance plan)
Checked IIS that they had been removed
Re-created the Web Application (and created a new content db in my case)
Restored the site collection backup usign Restore-SPSite command with a -Force parameter
Put all the web application settings back in
Shut down IIS for a moment to add my custom web.config settings back into the new file
    Rebooted the server
As I say a bit extreme but it worked...

    Inderjit

    Hi Inderjit,
Does this issue occur on only one user or all users?
If only one user has this issue, I suggest performing troubleshooting on Outlook client first.
    1. Please run Outlook under safe mode to avoid some AVs and add-ins.
    2. Please start Outlook with "outlook.exe /cleanfreebusy".
    3. Please try to re-create profile to refresh the caches.
Then please perform troubleshooting on Exchange server side.
    1. This issue may occured due to mailbox corruption in the folder level.
    2. Genrally we can check the mailbox property PR_FreeBUsy_NT_SECURITY_DESCRIPTOR and verify the permission.
    3. I suggest re-granding the specific user permission for testing.
    4. I suggest moving the sepcific user's mailbox to another database, issues will solved by itself automatically.
If all users have this issue, I suggest resetting the permission on Calendar folder and give the necessary permissions (Free Busy Time/ Free Busy Details /Full Details) via Exfolders.
