Outlook invitations have incorrect date

Hope someone can help, when I create meeting rooms and send out the invitations to all participants the time and date of the 'event' is displayed correctly in the email message generated by Adobe Connect Pro, but if I want to send out a calendar reminder by checking the yes box next to 'Attach Microsoft® Outlook™ calendar event (iCal) to e-mail message' it sends out the calendar invite, but actually sends it out as being after the date and time of the actual meeting, eg 10th May 2011 instead of the actual date which is 9th May 2011.
I have checked to make sure that the zone settings are correct (GMT - London in my case) and the system logs the exact time and date of when I have been in the meeting room, it's just the outlook calendar events which don't work, it's not a big deal but we use it for our business and has confused some people already as to when the meetings are taking place.
I hope this makes sense and that someone can help.
Thanks.

Hi,
I have sent a PM (private message) to someone who may be able to help - might have to wait a while because of timezones.
I think I have a copy on my PC so at a push I might be able to get a copy to you somehow.

• Reserved fields in the catalog record have incorrect data???

I inserted the orginal installation disk for the Mac mini. I ran the verify disk. Then nine of these messages in red showed - "Reserved fields in the catalog record have incorrect data." I then did repair disk and now it shows that 1 volume could not be repaired. I have the MiniStack as well. I am assuming that the Hard Drive is the one needing repair. Not the MiniStack which also has OS installed along with Classic. How can I fix the disk? How important is the message in red?

You have directory damage.
Use Disk Warrior to repair the drive: http://www.alsoft.com
Explanation of what directory damage is and what causes it: http://alsoft.com/DiskWarrior/details4.html
The other option is to wipe your drive and re-install everything.

• FYI DU error:"Reserved fields in the catalog record have incorrect data"

I had a very perplexing problem...
My iMac G5 was shutting down by itself so I took it to Apple and had the power supply replaced. After it was repaired I was concerned about the hard drive health after the unexpected shutdowns. So I ran Disk Utility and encountered the following...
The iMac G5 is running OS 10.4.6.
I ran "Repair Disk Permissions" from Disk Utility and encountered no errors.
I ran "Verify Disk" from Disk Utility on the drive and I get these results (copied from DiskUtility.log):
Verifying volume “TheDisk”
Checking HFS Plus volume.
Checking Extents Overflow file.
Checking Catalog file.
Checking multi-linked files.
Checking Catalog hierarchy.
Checking Extended Attributes file.
Reserved fields in the catalog record have incorrect data
Checking volume bitmap.
Checking volume information.
The volume TheDisk needs to be repaired.
Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit
Disk Utility stopped verifying “TheDisk” because the following error was encountered:
The underlying task reported failure on exit
1 HFS volume checked
Volume needs repair
This occurs whether I run it while booted from the hard drive or the restore disc. While booted from the restore disc, running repair disc indicates that the failure could not be fixed.
Booted from the hardware test disc and all tests passed.
Booted from TechTool Pro disc and all the tests passed.
Booted from Disk Warrior (had to get the "free" update to boot my iMac G5) and rebuilt directory. No errors reported.
Still same error reported in Disk Utility. ???
Booted iMac in 'safe' mode. Rebooted iMac normally.
Disk Utility now reports success!

Sorry but this is not assistance to you but an additional request for help from someone!!!
I had the same thing occur just now!!!! I have used everything in site and keeps returning............
Hope someone has an answer as to why this occured....

• IPad/iPhone Calendar Invites have wrong dates

When I create a calendar event on Outlook 2010 and it that spans into more 1 day, Ipad/Iphone shows the invite as 1 day late. For example, created a meeting that spans from Monday @2:00 pm through Tuesday 4:00 pm. iPad/iPhone users sees the invite as Tuesday through Wednesday which is essentially a day late. I have the iPhone Set Automatically on Settings - General - Date & Time. I also have the iPhone set to Time Zone Support (loca) in Settings - Mail, Calendar and Contact = Scroll down to Calendar and selected local time zone. Anything else I am missing?

On your iPhone, go to settings and then mail, contacts, calendar, etc. Change your default calendar to Entourage.

• Photos uploaded to facebook have incorrect date in iPHOTO

I found about 30 events in iPHOTO with a single photo in them.
I panicked - thinking all the remaining photos from each event were missing.
Then I noticed every single event had the same date - Jan 1, 2013 - even though all of the photos were from earlier dates.
Finally I noticed that these seem to be photos that were originally in iPHOTO and had been uploaded to Facebook from iPHOTO (again- these photos were all uploaded BEFORE Jan 1, 2013) .
Does anyone know what is going on here?
Thanks

There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

• Returned Forms Have Incorrect Data

Why is the "Preview Pane' showing this? (look at the blue "Classes Entered" column in the 1st photo) the second photo is what the same form looks like when it's opened.
I've created a simple interactive form that uses Text boxes for user information, Dropdown menus to calculate the final cost (formcalc), Print and Submit buttons. The form is designed as an "Entry Form", the user is expected to type Name, Address and other nessesary info. The user then needs to make a choice from two Dropdown menus which calculates the final cost of their entry. They hit "submit" and the form is sent to me, no problem. HERE'S THE PROBLEM, I retrieve them from my e-mail by moving the forms to a folder on my desktop so I can print them later. I'm running Windows 7 and set-up my folders to have a preview pane. When a retrieved form is viewed in the preview pane, it shows all the correct infomation that the user has entered. But, when I open it or print it, the information in the dropdown menu is wrong. It always says "TaG Senior" but the rest of the form is correct.

This forum is for the Adobe FormsCentral (formscentral.adobe.com) which is a service that allows you to create, collect and analyze data using an online web form. You should ask PDF related form questions in the Acrobat forums: http://forums.adobe.com/community/acrobat/acrobat_windows
I'll move your post to that forum so you don't need to retype it. They can help you out...

• Images when moved have incorrect dates - why??

I am trying to relocate some masters to a subfolder with format
Image Year/Month/Day
When I look at the image metadata I see an Image Date of 6/29/2007.
When I go to relocate it, the Subfolder that gets created is 2006/12/17 and I haven't the slightest idea why.
When I go to make the Name Format: Version Name and Date/Time for during the relocation, it actually pulls the correct version name followed by -2007-06-29, which is correct.
If I try to export the version and choose Name Format like above, it is correct also.
I'm totally stumped....
Any help would be great. Thank you!

Never give up.
It seams as if the preset "Image Year/Month/day" has been messed up. In the pop-up you see when relocating your masters you have the option to select which preset you want. If you go to the buttom of the list of presets you can select "Edit".
Click at the "Image Year"/Month"Day" preset and check that the following fields are in the setup line to the right "Image Year", "Image Month" and "Image Day". If this is not the case then delete the wrongs ones and add the three listed by draging from below the setup line.
Try again to see if it works.

• Mail continually re-downloading emails, and some mails have incorrect dates

I've been having this issue for a few weeks now. This is only happening on my .Mac account (I have other IMAP accts and they work fine).
Every so often, Mail decides to re-download all of my emails. And recently, mail completely bugged out and changed the sent date of large portion of my old sent emails to the 23rd of April. So now emails that I sent a long time ago, are all showing up as being sent this week!
I've tried rebuilding the mailbox etc. No change. Any ideas?
Thanks.

I used to find this happening with older version of OSX after I did my usual 6 month clean, wipe, re-install and resume.
It's possible that the file which keeps a track of message downloaded from the server is corrupt. Goto ~/Library/Mail where "~" is your home folder and then delete these files
Envelope Index
LSMMap2
DefaultCounts
Next goto each account ".mbox"
This is in ~/Library/Mail then a folder which contains your email address example "Mac-steve.jobs"
inside there should be a folder list something similar to this:
Junk.imapmbox
Sent Messages.imapmbox
INBOX.imapmbox
Drafts.imapmbox
Deleted Messages.imapmbox
Inside each of them is a folder, called "Messages" and also some files, delete the files but not the "Messages" folder.
When you reopen Mail it will be as if you opened it for the first time. See if the emails come in, if they do then it's more likely to be a setting in Mail or even possibly something that's happening at the remote email server.
In Mail Right or Control Click in the left hand panel and select "Get Info" a box will come up with a drop down selection at the top showing active email accounts, select the one you are having problems with, either a list of folders will come up or a big long list of email messages, depending on how many you have will depend on how long it takes for the list to update. Once it has, select all the emails and Select "Remove From Server" this will delete them all from the server so at least when you re-open Mail they don't all come in again.
Hope something in here helps

• Outlook invites

How do I accept an Outlook invite from a client in iCal? I have tried to "decline" an outlook invite for a meeting that has been changed & the appointment won't leave my iCal calendar. Also, when I continue to try to decline or delete the app't., I'm afraid it's sending "decline" messages to the client. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

I have a similar situation. I can accept an Outlook invitation without any problems. The problem occurs when a change is sent to the original invitation (time or date change, etc). Opening the ics file does nothing. The meeting in ical doesn't change. I may receive a message that says "Go offline or revert to server", but not all the time. The only way this is fixed is if we ask the person who sent the original invitation to delete it, which will delete it from ical (why does this work?) and then send a brand new meeting invitation with the new info. Anyone else see this issue? This happens on multiple machines, iMac 27 running Lion and MBP 15 running Lion.
Thanks.

• Can't accept outlook invites in iPhone calendar app

Hi everyone,
Here's my problem: I have been using my iPhone 4 for about a year now, syncing the calendar via MobileMe first and then via iCloud. All this time I haven't been able to accept calendar invites on my phone. The functionality on my phone in steps:
I receive an Outlook invite as email, open the mail, scroll to bottom, open the ICS attachment.
The attachment opens up showing organiser, invitees, time, etc. In the bottom I have a button "Add to calendar"
I press the "Add to calendar" and the event display closes, I'm back in my mail app. Apparently, when I press "add to calendar" an automated reply is sent, saying I've tentatively accepted. I have to wait until I'm at my MacBook to accept or reject the meetings.
Any ideas on how and where I could fix this? Is this a setup issue?
So, I'm using iPhone 4 with a MacBook, both about a year old. All software is updated, syncing via iCloud.

Hello Nelson,
On Lightning, to create your calendar access you need to fill an address like the following one:
http://<hostsname>:<port>/caldav/<organization>t/principals/individuals/<username>
On your browser --> http://hostaname:port/caldav
Then you need to proceed with the authentication, then after the organisation name choose
- principals
- individuals
- you should see the <username> value
- and then you will see the CalDav url you need to enter in Lightning to access your Calendar. From this point you should be able to see all the meeting created on Outlook and accept the future invitation.
Hope that answer your question
Regards
Fred

• Unable to stop incorrect date exports

How do we set up a form in Adobe Acrobat XI that allows dates to be formatted a certain way (mmm/dd/yyyy) and exported in the same way to Excel and always be recognized as a "proper" date in Excel?
Currently the following does not work (Attempt #1):
Set up a field; Set the format category as date; Set up a Custom format of "mmm/dd/yyyy"
Create a distribution file
When users fill out the form if they type in an incorrect date, eg., "August 27 2013", the form automagically shows the date on the PDF as "Aug/27/13" - Great!
When the users submit the form and it's brought into the response file the dates are shown in a default date format of mm/dd/yyyy - Fine, once the form owners understand this
When the form owners export the information the data exported is the same as the original users entered it, not as it was automagically formatted to. For instance, if submitters originally entered "August 27, 2013" then that's what goes across to Excel. And some of these formats Excel doesn't know how to convert. - Understandably frustrating for form owners
Attempt #2: As a workaround we set up special formatting that has a mask of "AAA/99/9999". This at least provides forces the users to use the same formatting, but is confusing the submitters when they need to enter dates from 1-9 and we've also found that the conversion of this format to a date in Excel doesn't work, but at least it's consistent! Javascript was also added to force users to use specific month abbreviations.
d = new Date(event.value.replace(/-/g, " "));
if (!Date.parse(d)){app.alert("Please enter in a proper date.\n\nThe month abbreviations are: Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec");}
Attempt #3: The last attempt was to continue to use the set up as Attempt #1, but to also use the javascript from Attempt #2. The theory being that if a user entered in "August 27 2013" the javascript would complain. Alas, the javascript appears to run after Adobe automagically does its date format conversion.
Does anyone know how to get around this or have any other ideas to either enforce a usable date format or have Adobe export the dates as they've been automatically formatted to? We've tried to find a way to turn off the automatic date conversion that Adobe's running, but haven't found a way yet. Another option seemed to be to allow a masking that allowed for optional characters (so that the "0" wouldn't be needed for the dates 1-9) but there doesn't seem to be one.
Thanks in advance!

Since there was no clear way to ensure that the date formatting was correct prior to exporting, we're going to get the respondants to use drop downs to ensure the formatting is correct. Not the most convenient for the users though as they're accustomed to being able to type in the values to select it (e.g., for the date of 23 they would expect to enter 2 then 3 for 23) based on other applications, but the Adobe pull downs don't "group" what's been entered (e.g., 2 then 3 will select 30, not 23) and so it will take them a bit to get used to it. I still can't believe that Adobe wouldn't simply export what it's been formatted to though... after all that's what we set the form up for.

• All my appointments in Outlook 2010 have disappeared.

They're on my iPhone 5 and iPad 4 but won't even sync to Outlook - I have everything on iCloud. Started out of the blue about 5 weeks ago, mid-March 2014. With the contiuous little problems and now this MUCH BIGGER problem (for which there is no apparent fix) I'm seriously thinking of moving to a different tablet, different phone. I miss Steve Jobs.

None of the steps of troubleshooting said anything about updating ios. You can see them under heading about "on the windows pc".
Here are step by step.
If you're having trouble with iCloud Calendar on a PC (with Outlook 2007 or later), try each of these steps, testing after each to see if the issue is resolved.
Note: iCloud Control Panel does not support Outlook 2010 Personal Edition. When using iCloud Control Panel 2.0 and later, iCloud Calendar event descriptions in Outlook 2010 do not support text formatting (bold, italics, or underline), HTML, images, or attachments. The contextual menu (right-click) has also been disabled.
Verify that you are using a Windows configuration supported by iCloud.
Make sure that your computer is online. Attempt to view www.apple.com. If you can't connect to the Internet, your iCloud calendars and events will not update in Outlook. Learn about troubleshooting your Internet connection.
Open a secure website to test if ports 80 and 443 are accessible. Outlook requires port 443 access to iCloud to push and fetch updates to and from the iCloud Calendar servers.
Verify that your iCloud member name is entered into the iCloud Control Panel window. Learn about setting up iCloud on Windows.
Close and reopen the iCloud Control Panel.
Make sure that iCloud is not your default account in Outlook:
In Outlook 2013 and 2010, select File > Info > Account Settings > Data Files. If iCloud is listed as the default account in the Comments column, select a different account and click Set as Default.
In Outlook 2007, select File > Data File Management > Data Files. If iCloud is listed as the default account in the Comments column, select a different account and click Set as Default.
If you recently made changes in Outlook and they are not updating on your other devices or vice versa, click the Refresh button in Outlook.
Turn iCloud Calendar off and back on:
Close Outlook.
Open the iCloud Control Panel:
In Windows 8.1, go to the Start screen, click the down arrow in the lower-left corner, then click the iCloud app.
In Windows 8, go to the Start screen, then click the iCloud tile.
In Windows 7, choose Start menu > All Programs > iCloud > iCloud.
Deselect the checkbox next to Mail, Contacts, Calendars & Tasks, and click Apply. Wait a few seconds, then replace the checkmark and click Apply.
Open Outlook and test to see if the issue has been resolved.
Make sure that the iCloud Outlook Add-in is active within Outlook. (Learn more about managing Add-ins with Microsoft Outlook.)
Outlook 2013 and 2010:
Open Outlook 2013 or 2010.
Click the File menu.
Click Options in the left panel of the Outlook window.
Click Add-Ins in the left panel of the Outlook Options window.
Look at the list of add-ins beneath "Active Application Add-Ins" and verify that "iCloud Outlook Add-in" is listed.
Outlook 2007:
Open Outlook 2007.
From the Tools menu, choose Trust Center.
Select Add-ins from the left column.
Look at the list of add-ins beneath "Active Application Add-Ins" and verify that "iCloud Outlook Add-in" is listed.
Restart your computer. This may sound simple, but it reinitializes your network and application settings and can frequently resolve issues.
Note: When enabling Mail, Contacts, Calendars & Tasks in the iCloud Control Panel, part of the setup process is to copy your Calendars data from the default Outlook .pst file to iCloud, then remove the Calendars from the .pst file by placing them in the Deleted Items folder in Outlook. The Calendars data is then stored in the iCloud data set within Outlook so that changes can be pushed to and from Outlook by iCloud. Make sure that you're looking for your data within the iCloud folder in Outlook after enabling Calendars in the iCloud Control Panel. The deleted files can be seen by viewing Deleted Items within your Outlook Folder List. This is not iCloud removing your data. iCloud simply copies your data into the iCloud data set and then removes the local Calendars data by placing it in the Deleted Items folder.

• Aperture Video Import Problem - from Lumix GH4: Imported clips have their dates changed to the import date. The files show up on the hard drive but many are not showing up in Aperture.

Aperture Video Import Problem - from Lumix GH4: Imported clips have their dates changed to the import date. The files show up on the hard drive with import date not created date, but many of these same files are not showing up in Aperture. Sometimes the clips actually show up with the current import but take on the video information from a previously imported file.

It was suggested I move this question to IPhoto or IMovie which I did.
Well moving to a different discussion group did not provide an answer to this question either. But what I finally did was import one batch of photos and videos into IPhoto for a given day at a time. Working with these I could change the date and times in order to get them in the original sequench taken. Then I would create an album with that batch. These would all be on the same day (IMove was closed for this phase). Then I would open IMovie, generate the thumbnails for that album, and select the album I had created. This was necessary because the importing process in IPhoto was using incorrect dates for my video so it was a real struggle finding them in IMove until I developed this approach.
I believe that this whole process was so screwy because I was importing from an external hard drive not a camera. I had these photos on a PC and did not have the original cameras to use to import directly which I am fairly sure would have made this easier!
