Output format does not match project settings

I'm a 3d animator creating a personal demo reel. I want to create a quicktime movie.
1) create a new project, DV NTSC (720x480).
2) import source material (QT movies and TIF's) that are 720x480.
3) export using compressor set to a 720x480 format (eg DV NTSC 4:3).
4) Problem: the exported quicktime comes out at 640x480, and the contents are visibly stretched.
Why?
What should I set my project to?
What format does my source material need to be in before import?
What should I set compressor to at export?
I have tried setting the project to 640x480, but then found that I need to scale my source material to 720x480, otherwise it appears stretched in the exported movie.
Thanks!

I'd like to do two things 1) quicktime movie that I can put online, and 2) dvd.
Say I have a TIF still image. It's 720x480. I want to export that out of FCP and watch it in QuickTime Player. I guess my question is how do I make the result in QT Player look the same as it did in FCP?
I just tried setting the pixel aspect ratio to 0.9 in Photoshop, but got the same result.
Will I need to have two completely different FCP projects, one for online and one for dvd?
(yes, the exported file did look the same when I brought it back into FCP)

When I set for batch capture by creating off-line clips using the "Log Clip" option the off-line clip shows audio as

Just prior to creating the off-line batch capture clip I had sucessfully captured from the same device using the same tape shot with the above settings including 48khz 16-bit audio by using standard " Capture" by setting in & out then clicking Capture>In/Out.
I've looked at capture settings etc...unable to determine to change audio settings etc or why the audio settings under batch capture do not conform to project settings...
    Any ideas?

    Thanks for your reply, Harm....
Well now...having negated all the possibilities you listed, I decided to do a an actual batch capture with clips which I previously logged which reported audio at 32kHz instead of the project setting of 48kHz:
    1. two clips  were selected from the same device/tape ( both selected from the logging util which erroneously reported audio at 32kHz) for the batch
    2. both clips captured "flawlessly"
    3. both clips after the batch capture then reported audio as being 48kHz
Btw, I also did a batch capture from the same device/tape in Pr 6.x...and it reported and captured at 48khz...I must say, I must prefer the legacy version of Pr 6 for batch capture which creates a log .pbl file which can then be easily exported as a csv to and .xls etc..IMO, much more useful...and useable..
    Mi dos pesos(.002US)
So it would appear there is some kind of bug in the Pr cs4 batch capture util that is erroneously reporting audio settings?
Should this go to the devel as a possible bug?

  • Timing of first CNTR output toggle does not match specified pulse delay

    Hi there,
I'm using a counter on the NI-6014 in the "pulse train generation" mode to toggle its output after a predefined number of externally generated TTL triggers (using LabVIEW 7.0). Generally, this works fine. However, the first toggle consistently occurs 1 pulse too early. Although I set the "delay (edges)" parameter of the "pulse specs" to 15, the first CNTR output switch occurs after 14 external TTL pulses.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance,
    Joel

    Hello Joel,
I have tried to reproduce your problem on two other DAQ boards (I do not have a NI 6014 available bu t I used similar boards, the 6024E and MIO-16XE-10) but was not able to reproduce it. I used the attached example and connected a TTL signal to the Source input of the counter and monitored the output. I generated 15 pulses on the source and the ouput toggled exact after 15 pulses on both boards. Can you take a look at the attached VI to see if this is the same thing you are doing and otherwise test it to see if this one works for you also?

  • Shminfo_shmmax in /etc/system does not match  project.max-shm-memory

If I specified 'shminfo_shmmax' in /etc/system and hava the system default in /etc/project(no change is made), the size of 'project.max-shm-memory' is 10 times larger than 'shminfo_shmmax'.
    #more /etc/system // (16MB)
    set shmsys:shminfo_shmmax=16000000
    #prctl -n "project.max-shm-memory" -i project user.root
    => will display like below.
    project: 1: user.root
NAME PRIVILEGE VALUE FLAG ACTION RECIPIENT
    project.max-shm-memory
    privileged 1.49GB - deny -
    system 16.0EB max deny
1.49GB is 10 times larger than 'SHMMAX'. If I add more entries /etc/system like below, max_shm_memory will become even larger.
    #more /etc/system
    set shmsys:shminfo_shmmax=16000000
    set semsys:seminfo_semmni=2000
    set shmsys:shminfo_shmmni=2000
    set msgsys:msginfo_msgmni=2048
After I reboot with the above /etc/system and no change /etc/project(all default, no values added)
    # prctl -n "project.max-shm-memory" -i project user.root
    project: 1: user.root
NAME PRIVILEGE VALUE FLAG ACTION RECIPIENT
    project.max-shm-memory
    privileged 29.8GB - deny -
    system 16.0EB max deny -
Can anyone shed light about this area how to configure SHMAX in /etc/system right?

We saw similar behavior and opened a case with Sun.
The problem turns out to be that the (deprecated) /etc/system to (new) project resource limits isn't always one-to-one.
    For example process.max-shm-memory gets set to shmsys:shminfo_shmmax * shmsys:shminfo_shmmni.
The logic here is that under the /etc/system tunings you might have wanted the maximum number of segments of the maximum size so the system has to be able to handle that. Make sense to some degree. I think Sun updated one of their info docs on the process at the end of our case to make this clearer.

    Hi,
It is the Date Data type...There's your problem then; NEVER, EVER, EVER to_date a date!! As you have discovered, it leads to problems when your code is run on different clients due to the different NLS settings they may have. You've been lucky, in other words, that your code has been working at all!
What to_dating a date does is this:
to_date(to_char(date_value, <format in NLS_DATE_FORMAT parameter>), <format in NLS_DATE_FORMAT parameter>) You've been lucky because your NLS_DATE_FORMAT has the same format as the data, on your client. On the database, however, it is clearly different.
Simply remove the to_date from your already-a-date value, and you should find that it works fine.

  • Error Message - Value Entered Does Not Match Format of Field

I keep getting an error message in Adobe Pro X: "The value entered does not match the format of the field [JF13]".
I have JF13 programmed as follows:
    On Calculate tab:
    if(Number(this.getField("ck4").value) > 0) this.getField("JF13").value = Number(this.getField("FL019").value); else this.getField("JF13").value = " ";
It is programmed this way so if the user checks the check box before the field, only then will JF13 populate a value, which pulls from FL019. I also have the settings set to "number" because the data needs to display as a dollar amount $xxx.xx.
FL019 is a hidden field on the form which pulls a dollar amount from a Mainframe, and its settings are also set to "Number" :
I get four pop up windows with the above mentioned error message, and the only way to make the message stop is to remove the "number" format from the fields. However, when this is done, if any number which ends in a zero is entered, it cuts off the zero. This is not acceptable either.
Is there some sort of script I could add or some other way to prevent both the error message and the cutting off of the zero on JF13?
I am not very proficient with javascript, so any assistance would be appreciated!

Thank you so much for your response!!
Forgive me for my lack of knowledge - but where exactly would I add that in the script?
    I tried it like this:
    if(Number(this.getField("ck4").value) > 0) this.getField("JF13").value = Number(this.getField("FL019").value); else this.getField("JF13").value = ""(empty string);
And I got an error saying I was missing a parenthesis. Should it go somewhere else or am I completely off?

  • How to avoid output file and error lines when condition does not match

    Hi Experts
A customer want to send purchase order files to several vendors and each vendor has their own requirement to content and file format. I have prepared scenarios for each vendor and a template is (conditionally) called when CardCode matches. It works fine, - PO file is generated when CardCode matches, but error lines are written to SAP B1 Control Center each time CardCode does not match the one defined in a scenario (100 or more times per day). Problem is that these error lines does not get automatic deleted. Conditional processing are made in this way:

I tried to avoid an error line in SAP B1 Control Center when CardCode does not match in this way:
Then no error lines are written to SAP B1 Control Center, but an output file is generated each time (order file when CardCode matches and an empty file when CardCode does not match).
Any suggestions on how to avoid both errors types (error lines in SAP B1 Control Center and empty output files)?
Or - can lines in SAP B1 Control Center be automatic deleted?

    Hi Steen,
using <b1im_skip> should be the right approach, if you're working with B1 OUTBOUND.
Following extract form the B1i help describes the usage to skip the outbound processing:
    1.1 Skipping Outbound Processing
If you do not want to hand over the message to the receiver system, the scenario step can create a special tag that indicates to generic processing in the integration framework to skip the message processing.

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that SharePoint 2010 (SP2010 SP1+ AU CU 2011) site built with Project Web Access template shows warning "Your Local Machine Time Zone does not match your current Sharepoint Regional Settings".
Users are getting this message even after correctly specifying and changing the timezone in their Sharepoint Settings. This is a common problem across the net, but we've found a workaround
    that will eliminate this problem.
Step 1: Open your Web Database in your Browser
Step 2: Click the Arrow Under the Login ID (upper right corner)
    Step 3: Choose My Settings
Step 4: Click the My Regional Settings Link
Step 5: Uncheck the 'Always Follow Web Settings' check and specify your time zone.
    Step 6: Click OK

    Hi Pradeep,
One or more rows in 'Task Actual Start Date' does not have date time format which is why you will be getting this error. You may have to fix this at data level to get rid off this error.
To test, apply a filter to see 5-10 rows of data, it should work fine as you would have excluded that data.

On a send port, we have a map that uses a custom xslt. We were hoping to somehow design the map so the output was essentially a generic xs:any schema.  But unless we ad a reference from our map assembly to the assembly that holds the actual schema for
the message pertaining to the map out put we get an error:
The Messaging Engine failed while executing the outbound map for the message going to the destination URL "C:\BizTalk\Test\%MessageID%.xml"
with the Message Type http://test#testmessage. Details:"Document type "outputtest#outputtestmessage" does not match any of the given schemas.
Is there a way to avoid having to have the reference?

    Hi ,
In BizTalk messages are distinct from each other based on the message type . In your case http://test#testmessage (Namespace#RootNode)
Now coming to your case have you verified whether you have a schema type matching the response is deployed with the solution. The easy way is to look into specific BizTalk application schema node .
If not ,What you can do is to create a new schema for output having "TestMessage" as record and any element inside it. After that apply a mass copy
funtiod from source t destination(in your case any type schema created).
    Thanks

  • Getting Error message ""This set top box does not match the account settings"

Just ordered a new wireless receiver for the bedroom. Installed it and now getting the following error "This set top box does not match the account settings". Service was suppose to be enabled on Monday the 4th, but I recieved the hardware early and turned it on. I've since rebooted and unplugged and tried everything to no avail. Any thoughts on how I might get this to work? Regards,  Rick

your wireless receiver is misconfigured (dirty) and need to be scrubbed clean.
A tech (service visit) or tier 2 rep (phone or chat) can do this. The receiver needs to be unplugged, on the bottom of receiver is a GUI (long number) that will be needed to identify receiver, when instructed plug just the receiver in that gave number for, when that one is connected.
Your choice 4 hour appointment window, or time on phone , or chat.
If these have not been activated yet.... When screen comes up, depress OK on receiver, depress button on WAP, when the screen at receiver says try again, Depress OK button (remote or on stb) another screen for update, depress OK give about 10 minutes to load, reboot when checking depress menu to verify recordings, if no recordings menu not finished booting.
Set aspect ratio MENU, OPTIONS, etc.
should take about 20 minutes per receiver.

  • Datetime value does not match the specified format

    Hi All,
I am writing this function for a template
case when "Employment Events (Current)"."Most Recent Hire Date" is NULL then NULL else CAST(TIMESTAMPDIFF(SQL_TSI_YEAR,cast(cast("Employment Events (Current)"."Most Recent Hire Date" as char)as timestamp),Cast(Cast(@{EndDate}{CAST('2011-01-01' AS DATE)} AS CHAR) AS TIMESTAMP)) AS CHAR)||' year(s) ' end
but when it runs, it throws me this error
State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS. [nQSError: 43119] Query Failed: [nQSError: 46046] Datetime value 2011-01-01 does not match the specified format. (HY000)
What am I doing wrong? "Employment Events (Current)"."Most Recent Hire Date" is set to max - aggregation in the rpd.

I found the solution as well.
The ODBC driver on the Windows server was old (Version 6). I upgraded that to SQL Server Native Client 11.0 and everything works fine.

  • SQL LOADER and ORA-01861: literal does not match format string

    Hi,
I've to load data through control_file(.ctl) into oracle table through sqlldr. Oracle 11g, win xp.
as soon as I use - sqlldr dss/dss control=orders.ctl I get error or nothing.
Text file that is generated after loading fails has the following error.
Record 1: Rejected - Error on table ORDERS, column O_ORDERDATE.
ORA-01861: literal does not match format string
I have checked the format of data to be loaded into Orders table is like this : *1996-01-02.*
I checked the format of data in my database by querying sysdate from dual i.e. 10-JAN-10
I thought that changing its format might solve my problem so i tried this:
    SQL> alter session set nls_date_format='YYYY-MM-DD';
    Session altered.
    SQL> select sysdate from dual;
    SYSDATE
2010-01-10but still i'm getting the same error. I've to load millions of data. how I can solve this issue.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks alot.
    Best Regads,
    Kam

    Hi,
It's strange ....nobody knew it?. I think this type of load problem will be very common isn't it.... where date column data is in a different format than in the db i.e.
How to change *1996-01-02* in the Control_file to make it able to load in the table where sysdate is like this: *11-JAN-10*
Sample data to be loaded is :
    1|36901|O|173665.47|1996-01-02|5-LOW|Clerk#000000951|0|nstructions sleep furiously among |
    Desc Orders
O_ORDERDATE NOT NULL DATEI have tested this by creating a test table and a test control file by omitting this O_ORDERDATE and then everything was fine, data was inserted but don't know how to load this DATE also.
Also not able to understand about POSITION in the control file...?
    Regards,
    Kam

  • SQL Error: ORA-01861: literal does not match format string

    Hello,
I'm trying to do data mining on a web log which recorded one day web access information from a busy web server. I imported the data into Oracle Data miner, and created a table (WEBLOG). The idea is to create a new field, i.e. session, for the users so that each session could be thought as a representative of a user-intent (aka topic). Now based on this, data mining models would be used to cluster(group) the users based on their similarity. The first step is to prepare the data which involves using SQL queries. So first, all I did was to create a function for date and time. This is the following code I used,
create or replace function ssndate(p_date in varchar2 default '03-01-18',
    p_time in varchar2)
    return number
    $if dbms_db_version.ver_le_10 $then
    deterministic
    $elsif dbms_db_version.ver_le_11 $then
    result_cache
    $end
    as
    begin
    return trunc((to_date(p_date||' '||p_time, 'dd-mm-yy hh24:mi:ss')
    - to_date('01-01-90','dd-mm-yy')) * (86400/2400));
    end ssndate;
    The function ssndate compiled successfully.
The next step I took was to create a view through the following query,
    create or replace view WEBLOG_VIEWS
    as
select (select ssndate(LOG_DATE, LOG_TIME) from dual) as "SESSION_DT",
    C_IP,
    CS_USER_AGENT,
    (CS_URI_STEM||'?'||CS_URI_QUERY) as WEB_LINK
    from WEBLOG;
This was successful as well. The problem is in the next step where I try to do data grouping.
    create table FINAL_WEBLOG as
    select SESSION_DT, C_IP, CS_USER_AGENT,
    listagg(WEB_LINK, ' ')
    within group(order by C_IP, CS_USER_AGENT) "WEB_LINKS"
    from WEBLOG_VIEWS
    group by C_IP, CS_USER_AGENT, SESSION_DT
    order by SESSION_DT
For this, I got the error,
Error starting at line 1 in command:
    create table FINAL_LOG as
    select SESSION_DT, C_IP, CS_USER_AGENT,
    listagg(WEB_LINK, ' ')
    within group(order by C_IP, CS_USER_AGENT) "WEB_LINKS"
    from WEBLOG_VIEWS
    group by C_IP, CS_USER_AGENT, SESSION_DT
    order by SESSION_DT
    Error at Command Line:1 Column:7
    Error report:
SQL Error: ORA-01861: literal does not match format string
    ORA-06512: at "DMUSER.SSNDATE", line 11
    ORA-06512: at line 1
01861. 00000 - "literal does not match format string"
*Cause:    Literals in the input must be the same length as literals in
the format string (with the exception of leading whitespace).
If the "FX" modifier has been toggled on, the literal must
match exactly, with no extra whitespace.
*Action:   Correct the format string to match the literal.
I don't know where I'm going wrong with this.. the to_date function should be fine. In the data that I possess, the date and time are in no format. Example: 30118 and 0:00:09 respectively. If anyone has any clue about this I would be sincerely grateful for any help that I can get!! It's quite urgent..
    The Oracle version is 11.2.0.1.0

Ok.. Looks like I touched a nerve there. I apologize. I'm still a student, and this is the first time that I've tried something at this level. I'm still in the learning process, so I was hoping that someone could point me in the right direction in order to "fix" the data. Not so much touching a nerve as simply trying to implement a very very poor, but all too common, practice. Since you are a student (which we didn't know until this post) most people will cut you some slack. However, this little exchange should now be burned into your brain as you move forward. One of the very first rules of programming is to ALWAYS use the correct data types for your data. And along with that, never ever depend on implicit type conversions - always use the proper explicit conversion functions.
And as a slight follow-on, when considering the appropriate data type, don't assume that just because we refer to a given element as a 'something number' that it is indeed a number. Telephone "numbers" are NOT numbers. U.S. Social Security "numbers" are NOT numbers. U.S. Postal Zip codes are NOT numbers. All are just character strings which, by convention, we limit to the same characters we use to represent numbers.
And since this entire discussion came up around the representation of dates, you might want to take a look at http://edstevensdba.wordpress.com/2011/04/07/nls_date_format/
Now, go forth and be a smarter programmer than your peers.

Look on one of your bank statements and be sure to enter the billing address exactly as it shows on the statement. Some folks forget where they actually get the statement. They put their home address in iTunes/Mac App Store and they actually get the statement at their place of employment or vice versa.
