Output parameters with one name

With regard to Dialog Programming, I need to replicate an existing transaction. The transaction has multiple ouput parameters that have one common name. I'm having trouble manipulating these output parameters.
Do i assign these specific output parameters to one internal table with same name? Can you guys provide a sample code with regard to manipulation of these types of output parameters?

Hi Brando Braganza,
a transaction does not have output parameters - by definition.
The best you can do is write down what you are doing. And please give the names and types of all objects involved.
Then qualified help will come!

Passing multiple URL parameters with same name

Hi,
I have a question which is not entirely related to Java. But although its related HTTP calls, so I thought I might get some ideas here.
Background:
I am making HTTP URL call from SAP ABAP code. Its pretty much similar to Java (creating URL connection, setting HTTP headers, connecting, receiving response and everything)
For example,
http://service_server:8080/a7/extension.services.SearchRequirements.a7x?RequestStatus=CR&RequestStatus=RR
Now, this service_server runs a query to database where it uses both these values of "RequestStatus" to form 'OR' condition for a field.
Issue:
When I run this URL from browser, it shows XML response containing results for both values. In short, this is the ideal response.
(I am using getParameterValues(string) at service_server to read multiple values for same parameter)
But when I see response in SAP system, I see that it is returning data for only one value of 'RequestStatus'.
I checked the logs of service_server, and I see that it has received only one parameter, not two.
Question:
It seems like SAP systems web server is truncating both parameters with same name and passing just one of them to outside server(??)
Is there any configuration at Web Server side or any HTTP headers to be set so as to avoid this?
Can anybody suggest something on this?

I managed to resolve this issue by using HTTP 'Post' method to send the data.

Output Parameters with Application Block's SqlHelper

Hi,
I want to use the Microsoft Application Blocks SqlHelper class with some of my stored procedures that have output parameters, but I can't figure out how?

Create new method into SQLHelp and get the value of the returned object:

[GP] Cannot view Output parameters with the wizard

I'm using NW200S SP15 and I want to create a callable object as an iView. When IU starts the wizard everything is ok until step 3. At this point the Output parameters section vanishes from the roadmap of the application.

Compare folders and output files with same name?

I'm trying to compare two folders and print only the excel files in folder B that have the same names as the pages files in folder A. I've tried using the completedigitalphotography "compare folders" action, but it will only output files that are of the same type, not just the same name.
Any ideas?

I tested this out on my own seat and I think it should work for you. I wrote it as a function, all you have to do is pass the root folders you want to search and the file your looking for. The function will then search that directory and all sub directories
for that file name. you will also have to provide it a file to append to, if the file dosen't exists the function will create it. If you run into an issues let me know and the links Mike

Selecting group of parameters with one parameter

Hi, I'm a little new to Crystal (first report), so please bear with me. I am trying to create a parameter for users to choose from different status types. These status types are OPEN, CLOSED, COMPLETED, MONITORING, ESCALATED, and FLAGGED FOR QA. The issue I am having is that I want the user to be able to select from all of these, as well as an OPEN - ALL and a CLOSED - ALL. OPEN - ALL would include OPEN, MONITORING, ESCALATED, and FLAGGED FOR QA. CLOSED - ALL would include CLOSED and COMPLETED. I cannot figure out a formula to use in the select expert that will allow me to do this. I have an option for ALL, which I used an IF-Then statement to implement (IF {?my param} = 'ALL' then {table.column} like '*' else {table.column} = {?my param}). I cannot figure out how to accomplish selecting a certain group of these options with an IF-THEN. Please Help!!! Thanks.

Output parameters or how to return more than one value

My RMI server retrieves a list of Strings from the database. I need to return a status code int and an array of Strings to the RMI client. Does anybody have any ideas on how to do this. The only way I have come up with is to return an array of Strings using the first array position as the status code. But this is very ugly. There doesn't seem to be any way to have output parameters. I can use "output parameters" with code that lies in the same app by using wrapper classes or arrays but this does not really apply to a client and server running on different machines. Any ideas?

Well, my general reaction is that you don't need a status code. (You can instead throw an exception if the status is anything but "OK".)
However, on the assumption that you really DO need the status, then some alternatives are
o Return an object that has a status code and an array as member variables.
o In the call, pass in an object that the server can fill in with the array of strings. have the function return the status code.

Data template and procedure output parameters

I have multiple sql statements and a MSSQL procedure witch I have to call when generating a report.
Therefore I use a data template.
The MSSQL procedure I call with EXEC. It returns the table that it sould return and everything is fine.
Except: the procedure also returns a punch of OUTPUT parameters and I don't know how to catch those parameters in my data template.
I have declared all these parameters in the BIP and also in the data template, but there are no values for them when I execute the report.
Here is a my current data template:

How to overload two different procedure with just one name in to package

i have created two procedure avg1 and avg2.avg1 calculate average of total salary based on e_id and avg2 calculate average based on j_id.now i want to create a package with specification and body where i want to use just one name -avg- for two different procedure.

You can overload the same name for procedure as long as their formal parameters differ in number, order, or datatype family.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I have tried as you suggested, and when opening the "purchased" apps some have the icloud logo next to them, but I only have "OPEN" against "Find My iPhone". When opening it up, it goes through the same routine; needs to be updated before proceeding, and wouldn't update because I don't have IOS8.
Anything else I could try, or am I doomed!

How to run a webdynpro multiple times by passing different parameters each time and save webpages with parameter name?

I am a BW consultant and new to webdynpro. Not sure how to run RSO_METADATA_REPOSITORY multiple times and by passing different parameter values each time(either taken from an a standard BW table or user provided - anything is fine) and build web pages with parameter name. Need help with direction on where to start.
Let me step back and explain my requirement:
In BW we have an object called transformation.
One way of generating documentation for transformation is highlight transformation and press F1. Then its documentation will be opened as a local web page.
I need these web pages for all transformations. This is my requirment.
I came to know that RSO_METADATA_REPOSITORY is beeing used to generate this web page.
The web link is something like below:

WHere to start? First of all is RSO_METADATA_REPOSITORY Webdynpro JAVA or webdynpro ABAP or can i use anything?
Since it is beeing opened as local webpages i assume it is webdynpro JAVa is that correct?

You can set up your iCloud account on your iOS device under: "Settings > iCloud" and a other account for store purchases under "Settings > iTunes & App Stores". Unfortunately merging accounts is not possible but you could transfer all of your music manually via iTunes from your Mac or PC.

I would also recommend to write the description into the meta data. This would allow to place a text frame above the image and it is possible to add meta information and file name automatically together with the image, when you place it or even in a prepared template.
Meta data information can be written easily in Bridge in the Meta File Workspace.

How are you backing up the photos? The best way is to backup the library itself as that will preserve your organizational efforts as well as all metadata like keywords, titles, faces, places, books, etc.
You can use a backup application that does incremental backups. Thus only the first backup is a full one and subsequent backups just copy those files that are new or changed. I use Synk Pro. The lower cost version, Synk, will do the same job. Other similar apps can be found at MacUpdate.com.
OR: upload your camera to a folder on the Desktop. There you can rename the files to something that is more informative than just the file name. I use the date (international format) along with a brief desc: 2007-1-20-adian1stbday-001.jpg. File renaming apps can also be found at MacUpdate.com. Also you can give the folder an informatve name which will become the Event name when you import the folder of photos into iPhoto.
