Over the weekend i downloaded the new ios6, but since doing so i have had a few conflicts with the apps that are on my ipod touch - is anyone else having any issues and is there a patch, remedy or even anyway of having the other version previous ?

Unfortunately, these new files do not show under the Music app and I can't seem to find any way to convince the iPod that they are music. I can play them through the file manager only. Android doesn't have this problem, any music I put on my phone is recognized as music and can be played through any of the music apps. Am I missing something or is Apple to inflexible to handle this?

You can't. The only way to get songs in the Music app is to sync from a computer or to download from iTunes.

First, select sender(s) as VIPs. Then the VIP category will appear.
To select a sender as a VIP, open an email from that sender, then hover over their name and a star icon will appear to the left. Click the star, and that sender will be set as a VIP (and the category will appear in the pane on the left).

You need to authorize the new computer in iTunes, transfer purchases from the iPad into the new iTunes library, backup the iPad and then restore the iPad from the newly created backup and then sync with iTunes.

As stated above, you can download apps again at no charge as long as you use the same ID. Depending on where you live, (in the U.S.) you can download just about everything again that you have purchased as long as you use the same ID.

Photos on the camera roll can be included in an icloud backup from an iOS device (if camera roll is turned on). But getting the photos back from a backup is risky. Many users have performed restore operations from a backup only to discover the photos were not returned. icloud is primarily used to sync photos to other devices using photo stream - but only new photos taken after the stream is turned on in Settings>icloud will actually be synced, not old photos.
Settings>icloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage, tap the device's name and on the next screen, be sure Camera Roll is turned on.
IMPORTANT...
Photos should be regularly synced to a computer (like you store photos from a digital camera) using either USB via iTunes (on a mac use iPhoto or Aperture to move them to an album). You can then sync the photos to the iPad.

Why are some of my apps that are supposed to come already installed on my Mac (like IMessage and IBooks) missing?

I have a new Mac. I've had it for about 3 or 4 weeks but when I got it, some of the firmware (apps that come already installed) are missing. Some of these include: IMessage, IBooks, Keynote, Numbers, Pages, IMovie, IPhoto and Quicktime. They are all missing. My Mom recently got the same Mac as me (same year, model etc) and she has all of these apps on her Mac. But I don't... HELP ME ?! I really miss IMessage especially.

Did you try to deselect all apps, sync to remove them all.
If you where able to remove all of them, sync them back.
Resetting the sync history in iSync may also be helpful.

When I click on a program with my ipad air, it opens then immediately goes back to the home screen. I often have to open a program 2 or 3 times before it stays open. Is anyone else having this problem?

My ipad air sometimes opens a program, then immediately closes an returns to the home screen. Often will take me 2 or 3 times opening the program to get it to stay open. This does not happen with any particular program. Happens randomly.

What you are describing is that the app is "crashing". You may notice that some apps do it more than others. To try and fix this, cycle the power. To do this, you want to fully turn the iPad off.
Hold the sleep wake button down.
The iPad should say something like, "slide to turn off". Do that.
After the screen is not grey, and completely black... wait 15 seconds, then turn your iPad on again.
This should resolve your issues.

Did you do a backup before you did the iOS update. You should always do this in case of problems. Otherwise your data/files my be lost.

Anyone else having repeated wifi connectivity issues with the OSX version 10.8.5?

I just updated the software on my iMac to OS X version 10.8.5. Now I am having repeated connectivity issues with the wifi in my house. This is the only device that is having these issues. My phone, ipad and tv are not having any problems at all.
It happened immediately following the update. I was sending emails and browsing before the update without a problem.

I had a message like that last week - only it asked what browser I would be using - I just quit safari - purges caches etc - and at that time noticed I was getting RSS feeds through PUBSUB - tracking them down to the top sites view I never use - I deleted all of the top sites (most of which I don't go into so it must have been a preset) that included MSN and Google - I don't use google so that was pointless. (deleting a top site means you are blocking it from that page) Have not had the message since so it must have had something to do with top sites activity.
Just a note: Did see somewhere probably BBC tech - that Google was going to stop supporting older web browsers.

Is anyone else having connection issues with O magazine?

The iPad connects to everything else fine. It can surf the Internet using Safari, it can download apps from the app store, it can also download other magazines but when trying to download the "O magazine", it gives us an error that states "cannot connect to the server please try again". I have tried everything, even called tech support and no one can figure it out. Already deleted all settings and that didn't help either. Is anyone else having this issue?

Try rebooting your router by unplugging it for 15 seconds or so, if it is WiFi connections taht aren't working.

I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store because of the shock issue. I doubt it was caused by the update.
