Override Library (jar)

Hi!!
I want to use in my project the method FileUtils.getFile but getFile is not supported by apache.commons.io that my project as included by default. I've tried to include a new library with 2.4 inside (or included the jar itself) but with no luck, my class is always using the old one... How can i override a jar included by default in my project?
Thanks in advance

Andreoliveira,
You can use "prefer-web-inf-classes" in weblogic.xml to make your application use jar in your application.
See the link to get to know about the Deployment descriptor http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24329_01/web.1211/e21049/weblogic_xml.htm#WBAPP571

  • How to add a library jar to a EJB module?

    Hi All,
    in J2EE the normal procedure to a library jar to a module, is to add the library in the Class-Path header of the manifest of the module, and then include the actual jar in the root structure of the ear file. Unfortunately it is not clear to me how S1S5 update 1 supports this. The only option Studio I found so far, is to add the jar as a 'file to include', but then the contents is added to the module jar and not to the ear file itself, resulting in duplication of classes across modules. Is there an option to add the library jar in the Class-Path of the module?
    Thanks in advance,
    Stijn

    I believe that better support for this was added in the Sun Java Studio 6 EA release. It was added to the Extra Files property on an EJB Module.

  • Java 1.6 won't download library jar files

    I am developing 2 applets for use on an embedded web server, similar to what you would see when you connect to the web interface of a network router. I need charting functionality in both applets, so I'm using an open source Java charting library called JFreeChart. I have very limited disk space, so I want to keep the JFreeChart jar seperate from my applet jar, rather than zipping JFreeChart with each applet. So I've placed the files on the ebedded web server like this:
    applet_1.html
    applet_1.jar
    applet_2.html
    applet_2.jar
    lib/JFreeChart.jar
    When I open applet_1.html with Java 1.5_11 installed, the JFreeChart library jar downloads with no issues, but for some reason when I install Java 1.6_1 it just hangs. The java console shows the following:
    network: Cache entry not found [url: http://10.0.1.200/lib/jfreechart-1.0.5.jar, version: null]
    network: Connecting http://10.0.1.200/lib/jfreechart-1.0.5.jar with proxy=DIRECT
    network: Cache entry not found [url: http://10.0.1.200/lib/jfreechart-1.0.5.jar, version: null]
    network: Connecting http://10.0.1.200/jfreechart-1.0.5.jar with proxy=DIRECT
    1.5_11 actually shows the same thing, except the jar downloads just fine.
    In researching this problem I've found that there is apparently an "entirely new downloading engine" in Java 1.6, which is supposed to help with Web Start applications. That leads me to beleive that this is a bug with the new engine.
    Should I submit a bug report? I have a packet sniffer program that I could use to capture the packets between the host PC and the web server, should I try to get this info to help diagnose the problem?

    I am seeing similar entries with another applet.
    I see three attempts on my Windows XP machine with JRE 1.6.0_10-rc2
    one for /lib/QTJava.zip (which isn't there, nor should it need to be)
    one for /lib/plugin.jar
    and one for /lib/lib
    Why on earth the applet or JRE is looking for stuff in those folders in beyond me, but it is adding 4 seconds to the applet load time while it goes off on a shopping spree trying to find things.
    The same applet, when loaded on Windows Vista with JRE 1.6.0_07, the console doesn't show those errors at all.

  • Work with ADF Library jar file

    Hi
    My English isn't very good
    I use jdeveloper11.1.1.3.0
    I want to work with ADF Library jar file.
    I created two generic application. In each application I have a View Obj(one for employees table and one for department table ) and added them to App Module,
    then I made a ADF Library jar file for each application: adflib_emp, adflib_dep
    Then I created two separated application and in each application I created a BTF .
    In emp_TF1 I added adflib_emp jar file to application and in dep_TF2 I added adflib_dep jar file to application.
    These two applications work well. Then I created ADF Library jar file for each of these applications named: adflib_TF_1 and adflib_TF_2
    Finally I designed a main page to use these two jar file(adflib_TF_1 , adflib_TF_2). I added thses two jar file to application and then I dragged and dropped each TF to main page as a region:
    <af:panelSplitter id="ps1" splitterPosition="500">
    <f:facet name="first">
    <af:region value="#{bindings.emp_TF1.regionModel}" id="r1"/>
    </f:facet>
    <f:facet name="second">
    <af:region value="#{bindings.dep_TF2.regionModel}" id="r2"/>
    </f:facet>
    </af:panelSplitter>
    When I run main application both TF show employees table, but one TF should shows department table and the other one should shows employees table.
    I read oracle document and created my application on base of it. But I don't know why this happen and how to solve it?

    Hi,
    most likely the names of the application modules are not different but the same, which means you have a naming problem. Application modules (if they should be used as is) must have a unique name

  • Problem importing adf library jars

    Hi all
    I have a adf application (portalapp) into which I have attached another Application(partapp) as a ADF library jar. Once I add the jar, there seems to be a problem with loading the bindings from the databindings.cpx of the portalapp.
    FacesContext fc = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
             Object returnObject =  fc.getELContext().getELResolver().getValue(fc.getELContext(), null,"data");
             BindingContext bc = (BindingContext)returnObject;
             DCDataControl *dcLookups* = bc.findDataControl("AMName"); The dclookups is null when I try to find an AM from the portalapp but returns the correct value when I try to access an AM from the partapp ( the application which is added as a jar)
    Edited by: janak on Aug 4, 2011 8:31 AM

    As per the documentation (chapter 33) when I add the external library to the project the Datacontrols from the JAR is not appearing in the datacontrols list. When I add the same JAR to a different project it works perfectly as expected.
    In the debug output I get the following

  • Maven and "adf library jar"

    Hi,

    Hi,
    In order to determine which jars are needed for ADF, you need to check the dependencies in JDeveloper and write each jar down.
    If by any chance you are using JDev 11.1.3, its the following jars:

  • Using external library jar

    Hi everyone,
    I am working on a J2EE 1.3 project. I have a external library jar file at, for example, /myproject/lib. My EAR has to access that external library jar. Moreover, the library jar is not self-contained. It has to use the class that stored in the EAR file.
    I have seen a lot of articles that talking about using Class-Path attribute in the manifest file but that seem not work in my case.
    Could any one have any idea how I can call a external library jar file which is not self-contained under J2EE 1.3 spec? Thank you very much.
    Jacky

    In J2EE 1.3 there was no portable mechanism for extending the appserver-wide classpath of
    a J2EE appserver. However, most appserver's have some way of doing it. You'll need to
    consult the documentation of whatever implementation you're using.
    However, in that case you cannot have code in the appserver classpath with dependencies on
    code in a specific J2EE application. The dependency can only occur in the other direction.

  • ADF Library Jar: Bundle-Classes-Information for Declarative Component

    when we deploying some adf-taskflows as a adf library jar we can add some content with technical namings and user friendly strings.

  • Modify library .jar file

    Dear all,
    I have Java Service (Thrift base). My service load library .jar to classpath.
    When I update .jar file without restart my service, sometimes my service crash without error log.
    Could you help me to fix my problem?
    Thank you very much.

    This site is for supporting programmers that program in java.
    Versus someone you is running an application that is written in java.
    If you are the latter then you need to ask the vendor.
    If the former then know then a "crash" is none specific. The VM can exit under the following conditions.
    1. Runtime.exit() is called.
    2. All non-daemon threads exit.
    3. A uncaught exception causes all non-daemon threads to exit (normally only possible if there is only one main thread.)
    4. The OS detects an illegal process operation (which most of the time is caused by JNI code.)
    5. Some external process, nothing to do with java, terminates the process.
    On unix systems the 4 step will produce a dump log and normally a VM (Sun/Oracle) error file.

  • Weblogic9: Location for application library jars

    Hi,
    The installation of weblogic 9 creates two lib directories:
    1. user_projects/domains/base_domain/config/lib
    2. user_projects/domains/base_domain/lib
    Both are for application libraries. What are the differences
    between the two?
    Any information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    1)user_projects/domains/base_domain/config/lib
    This directory holds jar files that are added to the system classpath of the server, when the server’s Java virtual machine starts.
    2)user_projects/domains/base_domain/lib
    This is the domain library directory and is usually located at $DOMAIN_DIR/lib.
    The jars located in this directory will be picked up and added dynamically to the end of the server classpath at server startup. The jars will be ordered lexically in the classpath. The domain library directory is one mechanism that can be used for adding application libraries to the server classpath.
    It is possible to override the $DOMAIN_DIR/lib directory using the -Dweblogic.ext.dirs system property during startup. This property specifies a list of directories to pick up jars from and dynamically append to the end of the server classpath using java.io.File.pathSeparator as the delimiter between path entries

  • How to create a java card library (jar file to be used in other programs)

    Hi all,
    I am working on JCOP and writing quite a bit of applets for the java card . Now i have lots of code that could be reusable for example sending SMS, encryption routine, etc.. So this part of the code i want to put into a utility class and create a package out of it. This utility package i must be able to import into my programs what i write.
    I tried the normal way of creating the jar by renaming the CAP file of the utility class, also tried including the /javacard/* files also into the jar file as indicated by sfarmer(active forum member here). But none seems to work. I tried contacting NXP folks and they indicated that it may be possible only by way of Sharable Objects.
    But some how i am not convinced why i should use Sharable object for this. So if any one can throw some light into this regard it will be immensely helpful to me and my project.

    Hi,
    Well the variable defined are as below
    public static byte[] msgdata = new byte[255];
    private static final byte[] HEADER_TEMPLATE = {
              (byte) 0x81, (byte) 0x03, (byte) 0x01, (byte) 0x21, (byte) 0x00, // Command details tag
                   (byte) 0x82, (byte) 0x02, (byte) 0x81, (byte) 0x02, // Device Identities tag
                   (byte) 0x8D, // Text String tag
                   (byte) 0x00, // length
                   (byte) 0x04, // Text String tag
    the msgdata is declared public so that i can access this as a Class member in my other program doing Utilities.msgdata. But the problem is now that if i dont declare it as final then the compiler gives me the below error
    "library has initialized array for non-final, non-static field Utilities, msgdata, [B, attr jc-field: tok 0, public static"
    If i make it final then i cannot change it... So now i am stuck..
    Any help will be highly appreciated...

  • Override Spring jar in Weblogic 12c

    Hi Folks,
    We have been facing an issue while overriding the Spring jar in Weblogic 12c. Basically we need to write a bean based on some 3rd party API calling their interfaces. Now they use Spring 2.5 jar for their own implementation. Since Weblogic inherently supports Spring 3.0 jar. As a result when we write our bean wrapping their interfaces and deploy it, it doesn't work. We replicated the issue by replacing Spring 2.5 jar with Spring 3 in local environment.
    If we modify the server classpath to load the Spring 2.5 jar (preceding Spring 3.0), entire soa-infra application goes down, so what We wanted to know if it is possible to override the Spring jar only for our application itself? While loading the application it will override the Spring 3.0 jar with Spring 2.5 in the application context but server will keep using Spring 3.0?
    Any ideas/suggestions highly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Bhaskar

    Hi Bhaskar,
    have you tried packing the Spring libraries in your application and using the Filterring Classloader? Maybe this links can help you :
