P12 Certificate and Developer/Distribution Viewer Issue

Two Problems:
Problem 1:
In Viewer Builder when I go to test my app in Developer Viewer my P12 Certificate works but in Distribution Viewer it gives me the error "not finding expected label 'iPhone Distribution' in this certificate"
I understand this relates to my Adobe ID used to create my folios and in all of the builders however Viewer Builder will not let me use that ID when setting up Apps and the Administrative button in Dashboard won't let me add that ID as authorized because it already exists.
Problem 2:
When I do my Developer Viewer test and it pushes out to my iPad only my cover is showing up. I know I'm missing something and I've backtracked twenty times and can't figure it out.

Hi bob,
thanks for the info. It is absolutely complicated for me as it sounds more like programing to me... I was just wondering if someone really wants his application on air, does he have to pass all these steps just for a certificate? is there any other simpler way at all?!
After all these hard work on my project, I really feel frustrated! I was reading this document today and frankly I haven't understood even one part of it!!
I would really appreciate if anyone tells me what is going on?!

After importing and rendering images are still very slow to go through and develop. No issues in LR 5.3 which was very fast. Canon,Nikon, Leica and Fuji files all rendering slow. iMac 2.9 ghz 16gb RAM OSX 10.8.5. Catalogs and images are kept on external drives. Drives running fine. Really need a fix on this since I'm norally imported and processing at least 4,000 images per LR Catalog. Is there way to revert back to 5.3? I can't use 5.4 is its current state. Thanks.

Download LR 5.3 and install it
By the way, lots of people have this complaint about LR 5.4, and the advice I give is to use LR 5.3 unless you need one of the new camera models supported by LR 5.4

  • Cannot create p12 certificate using existing distribution certificate

    Hi,
I published apps before using my employers apple developer account which is pretty straight forward if you follow the directions. I have been asked to create an app for distribution with the apple store using the clients developer account. I need to create the final .zip of the app and pass it to the client who will submit the actual app themselves.
My problem is that I cannot create a p12 certificate to attach to the app in DPS App Builder. The client has three distribution certificates in their account but had third parties create them on their behalf. To my knowledge the best way to handle this would be to revoke the oldest of the three distribution certificates in their apple developer account and create a new one that is linked to my machine which would allow me to create all the needed certificates. It seems that 3 distribution certificates is the limit they can have at one time.
    My questions are:
    1. Is my solution the right one?
    2. If so, would revoking a distribution certificate cause problems for any of their other apps that are published or in progress?
The only other option I could see was for the creator of one of the distribution certificates to create a p12 certificate which I would attach to the app in DPS App Builder.
Any help, advice or pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. I have never had a problem publishing while following the directions so this is a new issue for me.
    Regards,
    C

If you have access to your clients Apple dev account, you can create certs on your machine but if they have existing certs in their account, might be confusing and don't want to mess with their existing certs.
Would advise to ask your client to create and pass you the certs, create the app with their certs and pass them back the zip for them to upload

  • Step Through a List of .p12 Certificates and Their Passwords to Extract Property Data

This is a follow-up question to my previous thread:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/58ca3098-e06d-419a-9465-1ae7973e1c04/extract-p12-property-information-via-powershell?forum=ITCG
I understand how to extract the information for a certificate one-by-one, but I am wanting to write a powershell script that will step through a list of certificates and a list of their corresponding network passwords in order to extract their property
data (i.e. expiration date, etc). Any suggestions?
jrv helped me with the first part of my question by providing this script:
    PS C:\> $filename='c:\temp2\certs\jpd.cer'
    PS C:\> $cert=[System.Security.Cryptography.X509Certificates.X509Certificate2]::CreateFromSignedFile($filename)
    PS C:\scripts> $cert|fl

    HINT:
    dir *.cer | %{ [System.Security.Cryptography.X509Certificates.X509Certificate2]::CreateFromSignedFile($_)}

  • Adobe DPS and web content viewer issues

Having an issue with the tablet and web content viewer version of this particular article. I've create two separate documents one for iPad and one for iPhone, reuploaded the article and recreate the entire article all in the hopes that it would resolve the issue. Any ideas as to how I can remedy this problem? Thanks.

This is a known issue with smooth scrolling articles in the web viewer: From Digital Publishing Suite Help | DPS Bug Fix Release Notes:
"Smooth Scrolling articles in web viewer may not display properly on the last page if the length of the smooth scrolling article is not an exact multiple of the folio height. For example, the last page of a 1024x2000 article may be cropped, but a 1024x1536 (2 times the height) or a 1024x2304 (3 times the height) should display fine. The issue is especially common in portrait orientation. One workaround is to make the height of the smooth scrolling page height an exact multiple of the folio height. Another workaround is to use PNG image format for the Smooth Scrolling article instead of PDF."

  • IE11 and Crystal Reports Viewer issue

We have a Delphi application which launches Crystal Reports through a Java Web Module.  The Delphi application gives users the option to view a single report or multiple reports (Crystal Reports).  In previous versions of IE, everything worked fine.   However, when we launch multiple reports in IE11, the first report loads properly but the other reports do not open the report in the new window.  It opens our home page.  So, first pop-up window shows the report1 without issues.  Other pop-up windows for report2 – reportN, shows our home page instead of the requested report.   Is there a fix for this issue?

  • Developers, I Need .P12 Certificate and Password :(

Hello Developers, I need your help.
I want to do application for iPhone on Adobe Flash CS5. I tried but it needs .12 Certificate file and password.
    Anybody help me ?
    Thanks.

Sorry to break it to you; however applications developed through Adobe CS5 will likely be rejected, due to this:
.3.1 — Applications may only use Documented APIs in the manner prescribed by Apple and must not use or call any private APIs. Applications must be originally written in Objective-C, C, C++, or JavaScript as executed by the iPhone OS WebKit engine, and only code written in C, C++, and Objective-C may compile and directly link against the Documented APIs (e.g., Applications that link to Documented APIs through an intermediary translation or compatibility layer or tool are prohibited).
The last sentence is of particular relevance to you.

  • I upgraded to 3.6.20 and it deleted my .p12 certificate and it doesn't seem to let me setup a new one

I had a certificate I used to remotely log into work, and recently my firefox got updated to 3.6.20, since then the certificate got deleted and trying to import a new copy fails with "The PKCS #12 operation failed for unknown reasons."

Thank You Very Much for the help, however the link to fix the problem is to complicated for me and I'm just as lost now. After 6 years of using mozilla I'm going to do something I thought I would never ever do I'm going back to Explorer. Thanks Again RB

  • Published swf and html file viewing issues.

    Greetings,
I design web banners and used to, with Flash 8, sedn my
clients the published *.html and *.swf files to download onto their
desktops so they could view the banner. With Flash CS3 this doesn't
seem to be working the same way. It keeps giving them the window
that says something about "ac_runactivescript.js". How come this
never did this with Flash 8?

click file/publish settings/formats, make sure the swf and html boxes are selected, and click the use default names button.  then click file/publish.  are the files in your directory with your fla?
if not, create a new directory (that has no subdirectories), save your fla to that new directory using a new name (ie, click file/save as).  then click file/publish.  check the new directory for your 3 files.

  • Signing with p12 certificate from client

    Hy there
Our client provided us with a p12 format certificate and a password for signing AIR Applications.
When I tried to sign the application in question with the certificate I got the following Error:
Unable to build a valid certificate chain for the signer.
What would google do in this situation?
According to http://www.globalsign.com/support/root-certificate/osroot.php I did the following:
    Install the certificate in Internetexplorer
Install the GlobalSign ObjectSign CA in Firefox
Export a new p12 certificate from firefox
Sign the application again with the new p12 certificate
    Still getting the same error!
Install the new p12 certificate in Internetexplorer
Again exporting the cert in Firefox
    and so on...
No matter what I tried I still got the same error. I am now wondering whether our client needs to sign the application, but this does not seem to make sense since I have a p12 certificate and a password...
I really would appreciate any help on this matter.
    Kind regards

According to tzengs suggestion I tried to export the certificate again from firefox using "backup all" instead of "backup" with no effect.
One thing which I am still not sure of:
Can my client give me a p12 certificate which I can use as it is to sign my application using the provided password or do I have to process this certificate first?
Depending on the answer to this question I need to take different action:
YES: I need to tell my client to export the certificate in a different manner in order to "create the complete chain"
NO: The certificate from my client is fine but I still need to figure out how to change the certificate so that I don't get the error.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Single edition and p12 certificate

    Two questions:
1 - Using Single edition will I only need the serial number (Adobe single edition number) to publish on the app store? I've been finding conflicting information saying, yes, it's possible on the Adobe site, and then another source saying I would need either Professional or Enterprise to make the viewer "public" rather than "private." It seems with single edition I only have the "private" option available.
2 - I am building the app for a university. In order to sign the distribution app, I've downloaded the distribution mobileprovision file from the university's ios developer site. I can't create a p12 certificate using the university's distribution certificate on my computer.
I found this webpage describing how to transfer what I think I need: exporting your signing and provisioning assets from the one Mac and importing them to the other.
    http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#documentation/Xcode/Conceptual/ios_development_wor kflow/10-Configuring_Development_and_Distribution_Assets/identities_and_devices.html#//app le_ref/doc/uid/TP40007959-CH4-SW8
After my university contact sent me their p12 certificate, I'm having the following error message, "Not finding expected label 'iPhone Distribution:' in this certificate."
Can you tell me how to solve both issues?

    1. In Single edition Workflow, you do not have an option to publish as Public, thus publish as Private then you would need to export the Folio and import it in Viewer Builder while building the App. Use the serial number to activate your build for download.
Read the following link for more on the workflow:
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/digitalpubsuite/using/WS67cb9e293e2f1f6032817afa1337a03d59b-7f ff.html
    2. Read the iPad publishing guide for creating required certificates (Attached). It's best if you complete the whole certificate process on a Single Mac using keychain Access to avoid complications. While creating certificates, remember to de-select enable for iCloud. I would recommend going though the guide in detail and follow step by step process as mentioned in the guide.

Go through the attached Publishing Companion Guide. You need to create Mobile Provisioning files using Apple iOS provisioning Portal. The guide gives you step by step information on creating these.

  • Distribution P12 certificate problem

We've completed our build and am at the signing page in the viewer builder, trying to download the .zip file to submit to Apple. When I put in my P12 certificate, I'm getting an error message that says "not finding expected label 'iPhone distribution:' in this certificate. Is there any reason this is happening? We are only creating an iPad publication, so why is there an iPhone distribution required?
And just to confirm, I click on the Distribution Viewer (.zip) link under Builds to download the .zip file, correct?

You cannot "download a certificate" from apple. what you get is the public
key, together with the private key on your machine will result in a
    certificate.
This is really confusing, I know.
Sounds like you did not created the signing request on the machine you are
sitting on (thus you don't have the private key).
You need the private key from the computer where the certificate was
    created first.
OR you can revoke the certificate at apple's site and create a new one from
your machine (then you have the private key ready to be combined with the
public key you will download from apple).
But then you need to give the private key to the person owning the old one.

I teach Continuing education classes to Real Estate agents and I need to issue them certificates at the class, whihc need to be signed by me and it needs to contain their info on the certificate. The certificate is currently saved in a word format. What i'm trying to accomplish is to do a "mail merge " ( as some classes i have as many as 150 attendees) for the document, digitally sign each one with my signature on the certificate and then e-mail it out to the respective attendees. can this be done? if so How?

This is the step that I took after inputting my signature.
On the right, after saving my document, I click "Get Others to Sign."  I was confused because it says that it's powered by EchoSign.  Like I stated before, my clients are able to sign this document when I send it to them, but it is returned to me with their signature (not in the signature field, but at the end of the document), and my signature is missing.  I tested this on myself - my signature is missing when they receive it.
