Package creation and class importation

how do i code a package statement so that i may use an import statement for that class in another class? i.e I have class called IaMFullOfStaticMethods.java and i want to import it into my StaticMethodTest.java. assume that all java installations are in their default directories. Both of the afore-mentioned classes are in the same folder as well.

are in the same folderTwo classes stored in a same folder should belong to a same package, including unnamed
package(JLS 7.4.2). And their access each other doesn't need import statement.

  • How to create a security role to delegate package creation and deployment?

    Hi,
    I am new to SCCM 2012 and I would like to delegate packaging and deployment based on an AD container and user. For example, I have a US-SCCM-Admin account created in the US OU in Active Directory. I also have computers in the US Computers OU in AD. I am
    not sure what settings I need so that the US-SCCM-Admin account only has rights to create and deploy packages to the US OU and no where else? I added US-SCCM-Admin security group from AD to the "Administrative Users" group in SCCM. But now I need
    to configure a role for this group but I am not sure which one to copy or import? I tried copying the "Application Deployment Manager" role and renaming it appropriately but when I login to SCCM as this user, they dont have the option to create or
    deploy packages? Does anyone have a simple step by step on this or explanation on what to do to delegate package creation and deployment based on the user in an AD group? TIA

    The Application Deployment Manager role is only allowed to deploy an already existing application. You would have to use the
    Application Administrator role instead.

  • Where is the Package Name and Class Name for Android to Facebook SSO?

    Where is the Package Name and Class Name for Android to Facebook SSO?
    I am trying to fill these fields http://developers.facebook.com/docs/mobile/android/build/#ref for Facebook but i can't figure out what to place in Android Package Name and Andorid Class Name,
    same thing for the Android Key Hash, I followed this guide http://www.skoobalon.com/blog/2012/06/13/getting-the-android-key-hash-for-facebook-from-an -air-app/ but I am not sure if it is the right thing to do.
    I was thinking maybe the Pakage Name is air.com.myname.myappname (where com.myname.myappname is also the id used in the application.xml) and the Class name is  air.com.myname.myappname.MyDocumentClass ?
    Is there an official guide somewhere?
    Also do you guys know if there is somewhere a library we can use within AIR to do SSO on Facebook from Andorid?

    For what it's worth, I don't think a WiFi connection would be reliable enough. You wouldn't want your picture to freeze just because a neighbour has turned on their baby monitor. WiFi uses the same frequencies as a myriad of other devices, as well as all your neighbours' WiFi.

    Hi,
    The javadoc is generated to directory /home/usr/doc and I have added a package.html as mentioned. But no change found.
    There is also no package directory in the /doc.
    My original problem is that in the index.html, there are three frames, the right hand side frame showing the overwiew. In the overview page, there is the table of packages with two columns, the left columns showing the package name, while the right column showing blank.
    How to generate comments to the right column in the table in the right hand side frame in the index.html?
    Thanks,

  • Import a package inside a class

    Hi All,
    I have the source files kept in the following manner . The parent directory is "src". Inside src, i have two folder's by name "servlet" and "helper".
    First i compiled the files inside the helper folder. They got compiled without any error. But when i tried to compile the parent servlet inside the "servlet" folder, the compiler doesnt recognize the import statement which import's the helper classes.
    Please suggest me where im wrong.This is an urgent request.Thanks.

    src --
           -- servlet
                      |-- Servlet.java
           -- helper
                      |-- Helper.javawith that directory structure, the Servlet class is in teh package servlet and if it references the Helper class at all, you need to import helper.Helper, and the Helper class is in the package helper, and would import servlet.Servlet.
    on the command line, in the src directory , do this
    javac -cp . servlet\Servlet.java
    javac -cp . helper\Helper.java

  • MIF: Split class and Class -- always alpha order

    When I use the MIF doclet with an XML book file that specifies classes to include in the book, and I use the <Split>class</Split> option, the doclet always puts the classes in alphabetical order, not in the "logical" order that I specify. I get the desired subset of the package, just not in the desired order.
    You can reproduce this with the sample XML files in the test/example-bookfile directory, if you comment out the <InsertAPIDoc> line, comment in the <Chapter>s that contains <Package>s and <Class>es, and fix the class names to match the actual sample source (e.g., SubClass, not SubClass1).
    The workarounds are:
    1. Use <Split>package</Split> instead of <Split>class</Split>.
    2. Use a separate FrameMaker book file, not the auto-generated one; this makes an automated process more difficult.
    I didn't find this in the bug database, though there is 4645280 about packages being "silently sorted".

    This is a known bug. I am surprised that it has not been filed. I will search for it again and file a new bug if I don't find it. A new version of the doclet that supports new J2SE 1.5 language features will soon be released. You can expect this bug to be fixed in that release.

  • Java-JSP working with packages and classes

    Hi everybody,
    I'm bearly new on Java-JSP developping and I wanted to know how Tomcat (for example) manage the imported packages and classes.
    The fact is I'm working on a project ('/bob') which use some packages that I don't see in the '/bob' directory. So, is that possible that '/bob' is downloading packages and classes from Internet to '/bob/download' virtual repertory and use it? If it is true, is it possible to override this download by making '/bob' project using local packages or classes (example : com.boblibrary.classes.util in '/bob/WEB-INF/classes/com/boblibrary/classes/util') instead of downloading it?
    Therefore, the '/bob' project is using bugged classes (that I think it downloads from Internet) which I can't correct.
    Thanks for your help.
    - Renaud

    Thank you for your answer, but I can't imagine where is physicaly the class that my project use and show me as http://localhost:8080/atlassian-jira-3.13.2/download/ressources/br.com.ecore.jira.plugin.projectViewPlugin:ProjectViewTabPanel/js/projectviewtabpanel.js. Where is that Javascript file suppose to be on my hard drive? Or where is that class 'br.com.ecore.jira.plugin.projectViewPlugin' suppose to be on my hard drive? If it is not dowloaded from the Internet.
    I have no trace of that class on 'atlassian-jira-3.13.2/', neither on 'jdk1.6.0_18/', 'jre6/' or 'apache-tomcat-5.5.28/common/classes/'.
    Thanks.

  • Import package creation failed (name locked)

    Hello!
    When I import a package, one of the objects in ‘Import Results’, have the ‘Action’ 'Creation failed (named locked)'.
    I have search the database for the same name:
    select * from dba_objects where object_name = 'ADDRESS_HISTORY'
    But no rows returns.
    ADDRESS_HISTORY is a function in the package. In the "Import Results" it exists twice. In the beginning with Action 'No change' and in the end as described above.
    ADDRESS_HISTORY only occurs once in the package.
    Why do I get the message 'creation failed (name locked)'?
    Best regards,
    Tina N Mörnstam

    I had to remove the function from the package, make an import. Rewrite the function in the package again and then redo the import.

  • HELP PLEASE urgent: Creating a package, and class that prints all...

    please help, 5 duke dollars up for the best answer, or first answer that solves my problem!
    Hello, I have created a package called molecule that contains classes named Water, Sugar, Carbon Dioxide, and SulfuricAcid, and a sub-package named molecule.atom. The atom sub-package contains classes named Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, and Sulfur. Each class in the molecule package should re-define the toString() method to print the numbers and types of atoms that constitute the molecule. For example, molecule.Sugar.toString() should return the string:
    "Sugar: 6 Carbon, 12 Hydrogen, 6 Oxygen".
    So basically, I have created a folder in C:\molecule\ and a subfolder C:\molecule\atom\ . I have also created a class called ChemTest belonging to the default package. ChemTest.main() creates and prints instances of each molecule and atom, but does not contain any import statements. The problem is that the ChemTest.java file won't compile coming up with 16 errors!
    Can someone explain to me what I am doing wrong?
    here is one of the molecule classes, for example CarbonDioxide.java:
    package molecule;
    public class CarbonDioxide
         private String co2;
         public CarbonDioxide()
              co2 = "Carbon Dioxide: 1 Carbon, 2 Oxygen";
         public String toString()
              return co2;
    and here is one of the atom classes, for example Carbon.java:
    package molecule.atom;
    public class Carbon
         private String c;
         public Carbon()
              c = "Carbon: symbol = C, num = 6, weight = 12.011";
         public String toString()
              return c;
    now here is the ChemTest.java file that won't compile:
    public class ChemTest
         public static void main(String[]args)
              molecule.Water water = new molecule.Water();
              molecule.Sugar sugar = new molecule.Sugar();
              molecule.CarbonDioxide carbonDioxide = new molecule.CarbonDioxide();
              molecule.SulfuricAcid sulfuricAcid = new molecule.SulfuricAcid();
              molecule.atom.Carbon carbon = new molecule.atom.Carbon();
              molecule.atom.Oxygen oxygen = new molecule.atom.Oxygen();
              molecule.atom.Hydrogen hydrogen = new molecule.atom.Hydrogen();
              molecule.atom.Sulfur sulfur = new molecule.atom.Sulfur();
              System.out.println(water.toString());
              System.out.println(sugar.toString());
              System.out.println(carbonDioxide.toString());
              System.out.println(sulfuricAcid.toString());
              System.out.println();
              System.out.println(carbon.toString());
              System.out.println(oxygen.toString());
              System.out.println(hydrogen.toString());
              System.out.println(sulfur.toString());
    and finally, here are the errors:

    HI,
    I tried your problem with the following directory structure:c:\java\ChemTest.java
    c:\java\molecule\CarbonDioxide.java
    c:\java\molecule\atom\Carbon.javaI set the dos-prompt to c:\java and ran the following commands:javac molecule\CarbonDioxide.java
    javac molecule\atom\Carbon.java
    javac -classpath . ChemTest.java- and it worked!
    Sure, in ChemTest.java I deleted all the lines refering to classes that you didn't post...
    I hope this helps you!

    Samia,
    It would probably be best to rewrite your application to take advantage
    of the 8.1 versions of Weblogic authentication and Portal property
    management.
    In 8.1 Portal :
    1. has an Authentication class where we basically use
    weblogic.servlet.security.ServletAuthentication.weak(username, password,
    request).
    http://e-docs.bea.com/wlp/docs81/javadoc/com/bea/p13n/security/Authentication.html
    2. has a AtnManagerProxy class where we check user existence and member
    of, have methods to add remove users and groups, etc.
    http://e-docs.bea.com/wlp/docs81/javadoc/com/bea/p13n/security/management/authentication/AtnManagerProxy.html
    3. has a LdapPropertyManager EJB which is configurable through the
    p13n_ejb.jar deployment descriptors (ejb-jar.xml and
    weblogic-ejb-jar.xml) for retrieving user properties from an LDAP
    Directory Server.
    In 7.0+ and 8.1 Weblogic Server a new more flexible security provider
    framework was added to permit more flexible use of multiple security
    stores, perimeter authentication, and role mapping.

  • Resolving name and package of a class (kind of reflection stuff)?

    Hi
    I have a class in which I would like to resolve it's own class name and it's package (like "MyCalss" and "com.MyCompany").
    I had a look at java.lang.reflection but couldn't find a way to do this. Does anyone know, how this could be done?
    Thanks a lot for your help.
    josh

    The Class.getName will return the fully qualified name of the class which can the be parsed into package and class.
    String name = obj.getClass().getName();

    You are missing a closing parens. You have :
    if(type = "Return")
    FlightServiceClient client = new FlightServiceClient(ServerFlightServiceURL);
    ArrayList list = client.getFlight(arr, des, FDat, TDat, type, clas, adult, child);
    Iterator it = list.iterator();
    while (it.hasNext()){Which opens two parens but you only have one closing parens
    </tr>
    <%
    %>
    </table>

  • Package and class viewer

    Hello,
    Is there an equivalent of a menu item or short-cut key to bring up package and class viewer? A similar feature exists in Eclipse which builds the indexes and Ctrl-Shift-T will bring up all the classes in your workspace / project. I have seen something similar in Jdeveloper while running in debug mode, if it cannot find a file that is need for trace options, it throws up a window that says "Package and Class Viewer". It would be useful to access that during development as well.
    Thanks
    Farooq.

    Thanks for the repose. Ctrl+ , along with Ctrl= is doing the same thing. Also discovered Ctrl- will bring up java classes. Only thing remains is the remaining files in the project e.g XML or JSP files
    Thanks for you, got me in the right direction.
