Page Properties - background color

Hello,
I added a background color of bright red (just so it would be very noticable) to the following webpage.  It is not showing up.  Do you know why?

Thanks,
Melanie

Your body ID is #wrapper.  This background-color for #wrapper is white.

  • Page Properties- Background Color Change

    Can anyone help me here? I know how basic the subject sounds
    but for some reason it does cause me trouble here today.
    We recently had a company design our site and now we are
    using contribute to edit pages etc. Now, we have admin access so
    that isnt an issue. But when we want to start a BRAND NEW PAGE
    outside of any templates, we cannot change the background color. It
    is greyed out when you go to Format- Page Properties- Appearance.
    Its frustrating. It should be as easy as changing it, but no can
    do. Any thoughts?

    It's good then that you have adminstrator rights, because the
    solutiojn is in the role settings. You will have to edit the role
    settings to your needs.
    In the menu pick Edit, Administer websites, Choose your
    website.
    Choose Users and roles, Edit role settings
    Choose Styles and fonts
    I think you'll find all the options you need here, check the
    ones you want and of you go again!
    grtz.

  • Page Properties (Background Image)

    I am creating an email in dreamweaver with links. I need to have a background image to place photos of products on that are then clickable. The background image will not need to be clickable. I know I can add the background image in Page Properties, however it is linked to my local files, so when I put the HTML code into the email it does not show the background... any suggestions. For reference, if anyone uses iContact, that is what the email will be sent with.
    Thanks to anyone who can help.

    Also I read briefly somewhere about needing to use "inline" instead of a "style sheet". What exactly does that mean and how do I do it? Is it needed if I am creating a email?
    You can not mail an email with a style sheet - the styles applied need to be inline and in some cases embedded which just means they all need to be on the same page.
    Example.
    Inline:
    <p style="color:#FF0000;">The style is part of the tag.</p>
    Embedded:
    <html>
      <head>
         <style>
              .red {color:#FF0000;}
         </style>
      </head>
    <body>
      <p class="red">The style is defined by the embedded class in the head section.</p>
    </body>
    </html>

  • Background color in Pages 5.5.2. full screen mode

    I updated to Yosemite, and my Pages updated to 5.5.2. It used to be that when I went into full screen mode in Pages, the background color was black. Now when I enter full screen mode, the background color is pale. Is there a way to change it back to black?

    There is no control over background color with Pages v5.5.2 in full-screen, or normal mode. If you had Pages '09 installed before the installation of Pages v5, then it was silently moved to /Applications/iWork '09. You could use the older Pages and have your black background.

  • Linked jpg background color?

    Is it possible to specify the background color of a linked jpg?
    I am linking directly to a jpg on my site and I think would like to keep it that way for sake of simplicity. The link looks something like this:
    http://my-domain.com/jpg-name.jpg
    I am getting the default color of the browser, but am hoping I can manipulate that color somehow.
    Thanks,
    Brian

    I'm not exactly sure what you are asking. You want the page's background color to be determined by the colors used in the JPG? Which colors?  You might try something like this:

  • No mean to obtain a correct background color under Firefox

    On my web site (www.tregor.fr), I set a color #FFFFEE for the
    body background.
    Then I have a div tag (boite-niveau2) that contains the left
    menu and the text of the page; the background color is white
    (#FFFFFF) for boite-niveau2.
    Under IE, the background is always white for boite-niveau2 ;
    no problem.
    But under Firefox, you can see that under the left menu, the
    color is the body background color (#FFFFEE) and not the
    boite-niveau2 background color (#FFFFFF.) as it should be. Is this
    a bug of Firefox or is there a mean to fix the pb?
    Thanks a lot for your help.

    Unlike table cells which get their height from the height of
    the tallest
    cell in the row, in case of divs the height depends only on
    its content and
    is not affected by height of other divs floated next to it.
    Your menu div
    extends only to the height required and ends there. Below
    that there's
    nothing and hence the background color of the background
    shows.
    Google faux columns .. or .. equal height columns to get a
    solution for
    this.
    You cannot lose until you give up !!!

  • Print background color.

    Dear all,
    I am running Safari 4.0.2 in Vista and may I ask if anybody knows if there is setting in Safari that I can print a web page with background color??
    Thanks very much.

    Press the 'Print Screen' button. Then, open Paint and paste it on the white area. Save the image, and then print it.
    I believe you're on a laptop? If so, the Print Screen button might be on another button. My laptop has the keyboard organised this way. I personally have to hold the 'Fn' button and then press 'Insert'.

  • Logon Page - Trademark text and background color

    Hi Guys,
    I just customized the Logon Page of the Portal successfully. The only two things which are missing are the trademark as well as a new background color. So ... can anybody tell how to:
    1. Change the SAP Trademark text in the Logon Page?
    2. Change the background color of the background page?
    Hopefully I can do it in the portal. Thanks for your answers and your help.
    Best regards
    Alexander

    Alexander,
    In addition to the tips you already got from the other members...
    1. The Background colour is the background colour that is defined in the theme assigned in the Default Portal Desktop (defaultDesktop) that is located in the folder: pcd:portal_content/every_user/general/. By default the Tradeshow theme is selected in this desktop if you create your own theme and assign it to this desktop and set it as default then the background colour of your theme will be the background colour visible in the login page....
    2. The Trademark text is a "Locale text" this means that the strin is not visible in the code but referenced by a variable based on the language of the browser. You can find this copywrite text in the following location:
    a. Download the com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par file from your Portal
    b. Import it in NWDS or unzip it.
    c. inside the structure look for the folder PORTAL-INF\lib
    d. there is a .jar file called umelogonbase.jar. extract this file with winzip
    e. inside the structure you now see allot of .properties files.. look for the loginLabels_<yourcountrycode>.properties and inside this file look for the variable called "COPY_RIGHT" there you can edit it.
    f. do this for all the languages you need and create a new par file again in your customer namespace so that you don't overwrite the one from SAP.
    Good Luck,
    Benjamin Houttuin

  • My background color for all pages has changed to pink, how do I get it back to white?

    The background color in all of my screens has switched to pink. How do I get it back to white? I wonder if it changed when I was shopping in a web site and had clicked on a pink watch(?)

    Check the default color settings:
    *Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors
    * [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"

  • How can I change the background color of my podcast's iTunes page?

    My RSS feed just got accepted but now I need to customize the title, author, background color, and logo of my site. Does anyone know how to do this? Thank you!

    You can't change the background colour - it's white for audio and black for video. The other data can be changed by changing the appropriate tag in the feed, or if you're using a program or online service to make your podcast,. wherever they provide for entering this information.
    The title is carried in the 'title' tag; the author in the 'itunes:author' tag, and the 'podcast image' which appears on the Store page in the 'itunes: image' tag. Republish the feed after making the amendments: it will take a couple of days for the new data to appear, though the image may take several days.
    The image which appears in some podcasts in the bottom left-hand corner of iTunes when subscribing is not referenced in the feed but has to be actually embedded into the media file: please see this page:

  • How to change background color only in specific pages???

    Hi! I try to change color of background in pdf document using adobe reader, but it only changes all pages together and I can't find a way to do it on selected pages(or even select them). For example I need to change only 1st and last page to grey background color and leave the middle pages with white background color.  Please help! Thanks

    I seldom use Word so I can't help you with that problem. It could be in the way you are adding the background in Word but again, I use it about oncve a month.
    If you have Adobe Illustrator, you could do it there by adding a colored box in a layer behind the text (you can open the pdf directly in Illy).

  • How to change background color in pages

    i am creating a flyer usng pages and i want to change the background color to black.

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
    These instructions are for Pages '09, 4.1 (923).
    First Save As and give it a file name, in case you change your mind, and want to go back to what it was before you began to make color changes.
    Now click on the area of color you want to change. (It could take several tries to select the area you want.)
    Choose Inspector, Graphics, Fill, click the color box, and choose another color from the Color tool that opens.
    Depending upon the original, you may have to select several areas in order to recolor the entire document.

    You are missing one or more photos - youprobably have a page background that requires a photo which is behind a page with photos on it - all pages must either have a photo or be a color - if you have a gray background it requires a photo - look through the book carefully and be sure to look at the background on any full page photos - you will find one or more missing photos

    How do I change the background color using pages for ipad?  I am working with a poster template.

    I have done this before by using a for loop to change the active cell of a row in order to give the appearance that the whole row is turning the color at once.
