Paging is not working in xslt dataview webpart

Hi,
    Problem: Paging is not working in combined views, created by using linked data source
    Decription: Created a combined view using 3 different lists with merge option and enabled paging and grouping. Paging is not working and I have set display sets up to 30 items. Kindly provide any possible scenarious which causes this issue
and any solutions.
Thanks
Razvi444

Hi Razvi444,
I assume you created the view web part as the link below:
http://sp2013.blogspot.com/2013/11/two-sharepoint-lists-in-dataview-linked.html
After that, we could add web part on our site page by insert > web part > miscellaneous > data source name. By default, the data source is set to display sets of 10 items in Paging.
If you would like to switch it to 30 items, please save it and save the web part to Site Gallery as well. Then give it a new name and re-add the web part to our page.

  • How to delete multiple items in XSLT Dataview webpart

    Hi,
       I am creating a combined view based on 3 lists with common column like (number) with merge option and now I have added a delete button on top and my requirement is to delete multiple items on selection in combined view using linked data
    source and for single item I am able to delete but I am unable to get the data from number field on multiple selection. deletion is performing in 3 lists based on number column value.
                   Kindly give me any better procedures than this for deletion of multiple item on selection.
    Thanks
    Razvi444

    Hi  Razvi444,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you want to delete multiple items in XSLT Dataview webpart on button click.
    For achieving your demand, you can refer to the blog:

                            <property name="hibernate.jdbc.use_scrollable_resultset" value="true"/>But cant understand what is wrong? Did i miss something?

    Quote from the documentation:
    "Enables use of JDBC2 scrollable resultsets by Hibernate. This property is only necessary when using user supplied JDBC connections, Hibernate uses connection metadata otherwise."
    "Connection metadata" in this case I interpret as "we figure it out ourselves"; this article makes me thing that:
    http://www.javalobby.org/java/forums/t63849.html
    The conclusion that I draw from all this is that if you set the proper Hibernate dialect, Hibernate SHOULD be using scrollable resultsets on its own to make pagination work. So did you configure the wrong dialect, or is it perhaps time to visit a hibernate forum to ask around if others have run into this issue?
    Side note: not related to this problem, but in my experience pagination doesn't work reliably unless you have some sort of order by clause in there. Otherwise the DBMS can return results in any arbitrary ordering, which can be different each "page" you fetch.

    Hi,
    If you only want to get data from list and achieve the
    Autocomplete search function in SharePoint 2013, we can use SharePoint REST API and jQuery to achieve it.
    Here are two blog for your reference:

  • Move to first page not working

    Am using DW CS3 and for some weird reason the "move to first
    page" under the recordset paging is NOT working. It doesn't do
    anything.
    I have the right text highlighted, the right recordset chosen
    and nothing.
    All the other paging options work just fine. The move to next
    page, the move to previous page and the move to last page ALL work.
    The first page option doesn't, no code is inserted.
    Should be putting in a link for that anchor text to move to
    the first record, but isn't.
    Any ideas? Anyone else with this?
    Thanks,
    Robert

    I f you are publishing to .mac, then this is often a caching issue, either at the server end or at your end, the nav bars seem to get messed up and time tends to heal (not what you wanted to hear).
    You could try clearing the cache in you browser, in Safari, go to Safari > Empty Cache.., also putting a ? at the end of the url in the address bar and then refreshing the page often does some good. Often you need to do both, more than once!

    Dear All,
     Issue in CQWP paging on IE9, IE10 and Firefox
    We have created CQWP in SharePoint 2013 for images rollup and its paging perfectly working for authenticated users on all browsers but it’s not working on public facing site for specific browser
     while we are trying to click on paging getting
    something went wrong and correlation  with correlation id
    We did log analysis and getting different kind of problem description on every click some time contents authentications error, sometime memory
    Once I put webpart inside the  <!--MS:<ZoneTemplate>--> its completely stop working
      so we placed webpart outside  <!--MS:<ZoneTemplate>--> currently
    Strange point is its working on IE11. Please help us its highly appreciated

    Hi,
    In the “Property Mappings” of the Content Search Web Part, we can see that the Picture field will only display the value retrieved from “PublishingImage;PictureURL;PictureThumbnailURL”,
    because there is corresponding column in OOTB Document Library holds the valid value of a thumbnail image for a document, that’s why documents from Document Library display no thumbnail image in a Content Search Web part.
    If you want to display thumbnail images for documents of Document Library, you can add a custom Picture column to hold the thumbnail image of a document, set the “Property
    Mappings” to display this custom Picture column.
    By doing this, every time uploading a document to this library, setting a thumbnail image(provided by common users, not generated by SharePoint automatically) for
    that custom Picture column, in the Content Search Web Part, the thumbnail image will display.
    Thanks

  • XSLT Mapping with Java class not working in Integration Repository

    Hi,
    I have an XSLT mapping program with Java enhancement and I was able to successfully tested it in Stylus Studio. However, when I imported the Java class and the xslt program in Enterprise Service Builder and tested it, my program does not compile.
    Here is the error message: "Transformer Configuration Exception occurred when loading XSLT mapping_temp.xsl; details: Could not compile stylesheet".
    My java program is in a zip file containing SOAPHeaderHandler.java and SOAPHeaderhandler.class. My Java has a package com.nga.xslt.
    Here is the declaration of my Java class in the XSLT: xmlns:javamap="java:com.nga.xslt.SOAPHeaderHandler"
    It seems that it could not read the java class. Can you please advice what is wrong?

    Hi ,
    select XMLTOOLKIT option in Operation mapping and execute it.
    I am not sure we can call java program in XSLT Program,but alternative is copy the code and use it in XSLT mapping it self,that means your XSLT program will become with JAVA extensions.
    then in Operation mapping level select SAPXMLTOOL kit option and execute it. i hope it will work. if it is not working then you have deploy some JAXP files on server,because the way execution of XSLT Mpaping program got changed,like when eve you executing XSLT with extnasions( if you are not using XMLTOOL kit option) then you have to use latest version of JAXP.JDK files.

    Raj

    This content editor webpart not working in sharepoint page. Once I checked out to the page then chart is working. When i checkedin function not get called. How to fix this?
    THanks in advance!

    In SharePoint 2013, sp.js and sp.runtime.js does not load on the page in published mode. You need to explicitly load these files. You can check using IE developer tools in the Script section that in published mode these files are missing.
    In order to fix this issue explictly refer these two js files on your page.
    <script type="text/javascript" src="_layouts/15/sp.runtime.js"></script>

  • SharePoint DatePicker is not working in Visual webpart

    Hi,
    The sharepoint date picker is not working for Visual webparts created in VS 2012 (SP 2013).
    In my visual webpart, I added the form digest, and then the sharePoint date control.
    <script type="text/javascript" src="/_layouts/15/datepicker.js"></script>
    <SharePoint:DateTimeControl ID="dtDate" runat="server" DateOnly="true" />
    I get the "/ error in Application". Many websites are saying to add the below line to the datepicker:
    <SharePoint:DateTimeControl ID="dtDate" runat="server"
    DateOnly="true" DatePickerFrameUrl="<%
    $SPUrl:~sitecollection/_layouts/15/iframe.aspx %>" />
    But adding the "DatePickerFrameUrl" gives error in the "InitializeControl()" method available in OnInit().
    Error: The name InitializeControl does not exist in the current context.
    I have checked this:
    http://developmentsimplyput.blogspot.in/2013/04/sharepoint-datetimecontrol-issue-when.html
    http://sharepoint.stackexchange.com/questions/57092/sharepointdatetimecontrol-crashes-in-sp2013-webpart
    but did not solve the issue. Also creating a root site for just a DatePicker control is not an option for me.
    Has anybody found a solution to this?
    How to use the SharePoint datepicker in visual webpart for SP 2013?
    Thanks

    hi
    did you try to investigate the initial error more deeply, e.g. check stack trace in the logs? In our case it worked quite straightforward (but it was in SP2010) by adding the following control on ascx control:
    <SharePoint:DateTimeControl ID="Foo" OnDateChanged="StartTimeChanged" HoursMode24="true" FirstDayOfWeek="1" AutoPostBack="true" runat="server" />
    If it is problematic to check logs, you may create custom control which inherits OTB DateTimeControl, override appropriate methods in it and then check the error in debugger:
    public class MyDateTimeControl : DateTimeControl

  • XSLT mapping not working b'coz " " & " " replaced with and

    Hello Experts,
      I have a RFC to JMS scenario. One of the parameter of RFC is a string field. This field will contain the XML data in it.
    I need to create a complete XML payload using this data in a string field. For this I am using XSLT map :
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.1" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" >
         <xsl:output method="xml" omit-xml-declaration="no"/>
         <xsl:template match="/">
              <xsl:for-each select="//Nem">
                   <xsl:copy-of select="."/>
              </xsl:for-each>
         </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>
    This XSLT mapping works fine when tested independently.
    But in actual scenario at runtime the "<" & ">" used to indicate a node are getting replaced with < and >. Then the XSLT mapping fails and produces no output.
    The output of XSL will be passed in to a java mapping which signs the payload digitally.
    What is the issue with these signs? How can I overcome this problem?
    Any inputs will be of great help.
    Kind Regards,
    Abhijeet.

    Hi Stefan,
      Yes - I want to get rid of & # 60. But these (& # 60 and & # 62) are not added by XSLT mapping. Rather they are in the input available to XSLT map.
    In sxmb_moni, i can see the inbound payload correctly :
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <rfc:HDK083_REFUS_SENDDOCU xmlns:rfc="urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions">
      <P_SIGN_DOCUMENT />
      <P_XML_DOCUMENT><NemRefusionIndberetningSamling><NemRefusionIndberetningStruktur MessageID="1"><HeaderStruktur><SignOffIndikator>true</SignOffIndikator><TransaktionKode>Opret</TransaktionKode><IndberetningstypeKode>Anmeldelse</IndberetningstypeKode><FravaerTypeKode>Sygdom</FravaerTypeKode><FravaerendeStruktur><FravaerendeTypeKode>Loenmodtager</FravaerendeTypeKode><LoenUnderFravaerIndikator>false</LoenUnderFravaerIndikator></FravaerendeStruktur><IndberetningUUIDIdentifikator>bf9cc44e-af15-4e19-8457-5845d75385d2</IndberetningUUIDIdentifikator><ReferenceAttributTekst>ref. Nielsen-1503831372 (23. oktober 2009)</ReferenceAttributTekst>
    but when I try to download the payload or right click on payload to view source I get something like below:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><rfc:HDK083_REFUS_SENDDOCU xmlns:rfc="urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions"><P_SIGN_DOCUMENT></P_SIGN_DOCUMENT><P_XML_DOCUMENT>& # 6 0;NemRefusionIndberetningSamling& # 62; & # 60;NemRefusionIndberetningStruktur MessageID="1"& #62;& #60;HeaderStruktur& #62;& #60;SignOffIndikator& #62;true& #60;/SignOffIndikator& #62;& #60;TransaktionKode& #62;Opret& #60;/TransaktionKode& #62;& #60;IndberetningstypeKode& #62;Anmeldelse& #60;/IndberetningstypeKode& #62;& #60;FravaerTypeKode& #62;Sygdom& #60;/FravaerTypeKode& #62;& #60;FravaerendeStruktur& #62;& #60;FravaerendeTypeKode& #62;Loenmodtager</FravaerendeTypeKode><LoenUnderFravaerIndikator& #62;false</LoenUnderFravaerIndikator></FravaerendeStruktur& #62;<IndberetningUUIDIdentifikator& #62;bf9cc44e-af15-4e19-8457-5845d75385d2& #60;/IndberetningUUIDIdentifikator& #62;& #60;ReferenceAttributTekst& #62;ref. Nielsen-1503831372 (23. oktober 2009)& #60;/ReferenceAttributTekst& #62;
    (extra spaces added to "& # 60" as browser was converting it to < ,>)
    If i take the source code for payload and test XSLT mapping, it fails. But if I manually replace all "& # 60" with < and "& # 6 2" with >, then the mapping works fine.
    So I think for XSLT map to work correctly, we need to replace all "& # 60 " . Please suggest.
    Kind Regards,
    Abhijeet.

    hi all, iam trying to convert xml file to html using xslt.

    TransformerFacotry fac= transformerFactory.newinstance() etc.etc.
    is it beaucse iam not specifiying the imlementation in the application???if so how can i do that.
    thankyou.

    found the answer !!!
    i was using a buggy implementation of xalan. on loading the good xalan.jar and xercesImpl.jar files it started working.
    found that there was a memory leak in 2 places. not sure what that meant but some how the virtual machine wasnt getting the right values for the transformer.

  • XSLT not working correctly in BPEL

    Hi,
    We are using XSLT to remove namespaces from our XSL. When testing this XSL in Jdeveloper, it works fine. But when we using it in BPEL, the transformation is not working correctly.
    Please find below the XSL content
    +<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0"+
    xmlns:xref="http://www.oracle.com/XSL/Transform/java/oracle.tip.xref.xpath.XRefXPathFunctions"

    The BPEL code of the transform is:

    +<to variable="TempVar" part="payload" query="/ns1:mthReplacement_input"/>+
    +</copy>+
    +</assign>+
    Not sure why the transformation isnt working in BPEL. Has anyone faced similar issues? Please share your experiences.
    Thanks
    John

    Hi John ,
    We have tried this instead of writing new code in the xslt , pls do the following
    1.Open the xslt in jdev.
    2.Remove the attribute exclude-result-prefixes for the element xsl:stylesheet.
    3.Your new XSLT file should look like below,
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0"
    xmlns:xref="http://www.oracle.com/XSL/Transform/java/oracle.tip.xref.xpath.XRefXPathFunctions"
    xmlns:xp20="http://www.oracle.com/XSL/Transform/java/oracle.tip.pc.services.functions.Xpath20"
    xmlns:bpws="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2003/03/business-process/"
    xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"
    +xmlns:ora="http://schemas.oracle.com/xpath/extension" xmlns:ehdr="http://www.oracle.com/XSL/Transform/java/oracle.tip.esb.server.headers.ESBHeaderFunctions"
    xmlns:orcl="http://www.oracle.com/XSL/Transform/java/oracle.tip.pc.services.functions.ExtFunc"
    xmlns:ids="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/services/IdentityService/xpath"
    xmlns:hwf="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/workflow/xpath"
    >
    ....business logic...
    </xsl:stylesheet>
    4.Compile and deploy your BPEL Process.
    5.You should not see any namespaces in the BPEL Console now for this xslt.
    Thank you.
    Regards
    Venkat.

  • Webpart Title and Border Does not Work

    The Chrome type "title and border" does not display the title or border on webparts. The problem is trivially reproduced:
    1. Create a new blank site.
    2. Add a webpart to it. Not important which one.
    3. Change the chrome to title and border.
    4. Apply the changes and save.
    5. Note the absence of title or border.
    Try changing the chrome type to either title or border and they work individually but together they do nothing. I have seen others report this issue of various forums but never a resolution. This worked in 2010 and does not work in 2013. I am using IE 11
    but it also didn't work with older versions of IE.

    Hi Colin,
    Could you describe how it displays when you set Chrome Type as Title and Border ? For clearly, you could compare different Chrome Types in one page and post it here, it will help to understand the issue.
    I reproduced the issue by adding five webparts of the same library named doclib into one page, and set the Chrome Type as Default, None, Title and Border, Title Only, Border Only, respectively.
    As you could see from above, Default displays as Title Only.

  • Content search webpart sorting not working

    Using the Content Search webpart I have created a query that rollsup all the subsites of a particular path, which is working well. However, I have tried sorting using he sort by term SPSiteURL, unfortunatly that is not working. Does anyone have any idea
    what I am doing wrong.
    davidh

    Hi Cameron,
    Thanks for the reply. I find that hard to accept becuase I can get the same webpart to sort like I want it to at our SharePoint Online sites, granted the sorting feature is in a diferent location within the edit webpart dialog but still basically the same
    feature. Also, I would think that the SPSiteURL sort term does and should include the entire URL, which is unique to each site, which means that it should sort on the entire URL.
    I think that it is reasonable to expect to be able to achieve this in some manner, maybe not the way I am trying to do it, but I have to think I am not the first person to want to present the results of subsites sorted alpha-numerically.
    Thanks,
    davidh
