    Hi
    Try upload from portal
Login to Portal using Administrator id or any account having super_admin role.(admin /admin)
Navigate through System Administrator>>Support>>Portal runtime>>"Portal Anywhere" Admin Tools>>Administrator Console
You will see a link for uploadin the par file from there

  • Par file deployed without code

    Hi Experts,
Our portal version is SAP EP 7.02 SP23.
We have a custom par file developed. Now we want to do changes to it.
When I try to download the custom par file. It contains only custom jar file (in that jar file there is only one class file.).  how  can I customize this par file.
I believe the developer who developed this applicaiton has not deployed the par file with the code. Generally from deploying through NWDS, we need to check the deploy par file with code check box.
Now we don't that code available in NWDS. We have only the par file which is deployed in the portal server.
Can you please throw some lights like is there any possiblity to customize this particular par file. If it is possible please let me know , how to achieve this.
    Thank you,
    Raghu

    Hi,
To import a par file, from NWDS, select File - Import and choose the PAR file option to import the PAR file into NWDS.
Also, when you import the PAR file into your NWDS, the necessary jar files are not usually copied over. You will have manually import them into your project structure.
If you unzip the original par file, you can find the needed jar files there under the lib folder.
Basically if you do not have the source code, you will need to use a decompilar (search java decompiler in google) in order to decompile the .class files that are inside the jar.
Then modify the code, compile it and pack it back
You will find the .class files in jar files which reside in the following paths in your par files:
    \PORTAL-INF\lib
    \PORTAL-INF\private\lib
Follow this links to see the stucture and building par files:

  • Error while deploying from NWDS

    Hi,
i am getting the following error while trying to deploy a PAR file from NWDS through export.
    PAR upload failed:C:\Documents and settings\Trials\Trials.par
Please check the userid and password.
i cross checked the userid and password.both are correct. the same par file is deployed successfully in other servers.
this error occurs only for PAR file deployment. other applications like webdynpro and all are deploying successfully.please help.
/* useful inputs will be rewarded*/
    Regards,
    Art Tech.

    Hi All,
    Thanks for ur responses.
    To Sahu:
Yes the user id has system admin role.
    To Ramani:
I know that we can upload the PAR from portal itself as u said but i want to know the cause of my problem. why i am not able to do it from NWDS.
    To Vinoth:
As i said i want to upload it from NWDS only.
i want to inform onething to all of  u . we thought that it may be problem in SDM. so we checked SDM also. in that a process (deployment) is still going on. so we r not able to enter into it. it is like a infinitive for loop. so, that may be the cause which doesnt allow other deployments.
Can any one tell me how to kill that process. it is something relevent to J2ee engine administration i hope.
What i mentioned above is only our decision , we are not sure that whether it is the exact reason or not. so if anyone encountered the same problem and solved please guide me or any docs related to this also will be helpful.
    Regards,
    Art Tech.

  • Installation of CM fails(par files deployed but connection to database fail

    Hi,
I have just installed CM EP6 SP2 on an old sandbox system (which has been upgrade from SP0 I believe), and I have some problems. The installation went fine untill I got the error message "CJS-00276  The upgrade failed.  The installation report file cf_installation.report does not exist.  Check the log files under the server directory and, if necessary, contact your local support center." But  I, at least now, find the file but this is probably from my installation of CM SP2 Patch4 and CM SP2 Patch4 hf8 (I was hoping the installation of them would clear the problem).
I believe the problem is that there are missing some files under the SAPPRT share (
server\SAPPRT\EPS1\global\config\cm), this because it was giving some error messages earlier about it. I was running the portal under localsystem user, which hasn't got the possiblity to have access to share's. (I would get an exception about access denied from the file system when starting it up, but after changing the user I don't).
    Under
server\SAPPRT\EPS1\global\config\cm the portal has created the following folders:
    Backups
    config
    etc
    reports
<b>Are there any one missing ?</b>
(to resolve the problem I tried create the following folders, but still the same problem:
    system/updateQueue/events
    system/command
    system/deployment/archives
    system/deployment/upgrades
    utilities/connection_pools/db_type/default)
    The property files in \usr\sap\EPS1\j2ee\j2ee_01\cluster\server\services\servlet_jsp\work\jspTemp\irj\root\WEB-INF\portal\system\cm
look correct, and also the file under portalapps/com.sap.portal.km.application (or something).
When I went into KM configuration in the portal, I noticed there were no JDBC connection pools, and I therefore created two as described in http://help.sap.com/saphelp_ep60sp2/helpdata/en/eb/d10ef2b6a311d5993900508b6b8b11/content.htm
But that is something which the installer should have done for me. (and still the connection pools won't start)
The main error message I get at startup is the following:
Jun 28, 2005 4:45:17 PM      com.sapportals.config.queue.UpdateQueueService [System_Thread_12] Warning": There was a problem initializing the queue service for config manager : configuration plugin for queue service not found (/system/updateQueue/events)

    I appreciate any help !
PS sorry for the unstructured post, but I am hungry and want to go home now.

The files under the SAPPRT share had somehow failed (some where there, but a lot of the important ones where missing).
I found out that these files were in .configarchive files in the par files to be deployed, and manually unpacked them using these two commands
    $ for file in `ls -1 .par` ; do unzip $file ".configarchive" -d extracted >> logfile.txt ; done
    $ for file in `ls -1 *.configarchive` ; do unzip -o $file -d extracted >> logfile.txt ; done
Afterwards I had to make some tiny customization (search for %[a-zA-Z]% , especially for the connection pools.
Then a restart, and most of it seems to work (the system will not live much longer so that is acceptable)

    Hi Ganges-
Check your etc/host file entry.. And also your SDM port and User ID (SDM) is correct
    Just check these threads-

  • Automatic par file deployed after every AS restart

    Dear collegues,
I am not able to understand an EP behaviour. When I restart the AS there is a single par file automatically deployed, even if I undeploy it before restarting.
This is a problem for me because the par in subject is an illegal par file that compromises other applications.
Looking for it in the filesystem for it I found several references. I delete these references but every time I restart the AS I am always in the same situation.
Could you be so kind to help me?
Hoping to receive your support, thanks in advance for your replies.
    Regards,
    Mirco.

    Hi Mirco,
Did you undeploy the application from Administration Console?
    System Administration-> Support-> Portal Runtime-> Administration Console
Did you find an entry of the application in coreapplication.xml under ...\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\portal\system\xml ?
If so delete the entry in this xml and also delete the par.bak file under
    ..\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\deployment

  • File Transfer from non-SAP System.

    Hi Experts,
We have the requirement to copy/transfer file from non-SAP system to SAP system file server. Can we use these FMs FTP_CONNECT, FTP_COMMAND and FTP_DISCONNECT?
or can we also use SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE?
    Thanks,
    Edson

    Hi Varma,
Thanks. I'm looking at the FTP_COMMAND FM. If I got it right the 'command' parameter here should be the OS level commands? Example would be cp <file path from source> <file folder of destination> for unix. ?
    Thanks again,
    Edson

  • Send a file PDF from mail SAP

    Hi forum,
I have  a problem. I converted a smartforms to PDF and sended to function SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 to send a mail external...
So, when I tried to open the file attachment,  I can't open this file. and I watch a message : 'The file is damaged'. But in  ocations the file can opened.
SAP system is connected  to CITRIX. can this be a problem?
    Regards,

    Hi ABAP Gurus ,
    Good Morning !
I converted a smartform to PDF and sended to function SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 to send a mail external...
So, when I tried to open the file attachment, I can't open this file. and I watch a message : 'There was a error in opening the document . The file is damaged and could not be repaired '.
In one of the earlier threds on www. sdn.sap.com i found a solustion which says to use class CL_BCS but I don't know how to use this class or rather use classes in ABAP Programs .
I would be thankful if I am provided the sample code or some help regarding this issue .
I think if somebody provides a solution on how to use function SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 that would make me Relieved .

Does anyone know how to resolve this problem?
    Stephan

    HI,
    1. structure of WD in 7.1 is totally diff from 7.0 WD. so if you tried to deploy them directly after developing in NWDS 7.0 it wont work.
    2. and also you have to consider the compiler versions too
    so
Either open your project in NWDS 7.1 and migrate it...or atleast try to build it in NWDS7.1.
if you r application successfully built then you will be able to deploy it.
7.1 have a downward compatibilty for 7.0 but the major problem is the environment and compiler where it is developed.

  • Can't Execute JAR file deployed from JDev 903

    Hi Everyone:
I took the Oracle beginning Java class, and got a copy of JDeveloper 9, and started in on a project. The task was to create a small module that will allow users with no direct SQL access to change their Oracle passwords. The good news is that it runs great from within JDev; it catches exceptions cleanly, it handles multiple databases with no problems. The bad news is that I cannot get it to run from a batch file or command line (client is Windows). I have run 'setvars', I have copied the CLASSPATH from the run window in JDev, all to no avail.
I am trying to deploy the app as an executable jar file. It's not meant to be an applet, because of the security implications.
I would gladly RTFM, but the FM's that I have gloss over the deployment step in Jdev. I figure it's something obvious, but I just cannot figure it out.
    Any suggestions? Help a newbie...
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,
I suggest you take a look at the log window of JDev, when you've successfully run your project.
If the log window is not displayed, go to View | Log.
Cut the command line, invoking javaw.exe, and paste it into your favorite editor.
Change javaw.exe into java.exe, save your file as a bat file, go in a DOS console, and run the bat file.
Let me know if it fixes your problem.
    Thanks,
    - Olivier

  • Error Deploying from NWDS

Hello, I am attempting to deploy a DC that was built with Visual Composer in the NWDS and I am getting the following error:
"The user can not be authorized, because doesn't own the (com.sap.engine.interfaces.security.ServiceAccessPermissiondc) permission for deploy controller."
Does anyone know what this means?  Is there a particular role that my user needs?  I thought I had basically given my user all access on the CE system.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Ethan,
what rights did you grant your user on the CE?
Did you try the administrators Group?
    Kind regards

    included in the Help file.
    Installation Prerequisites
See the Oracle8 ODBC Driver release notes (ODBCRelnotes.WRI),
for a complete list of software products required and their versions.
    Time Required
The installation of the Oracle8 ODBC Driver takes approximately 5
minutes. The actual time may be shorter or longer, depending upon
    your hardware configuration.
    Disk Space Required
The Oracle8 ODBC driver installation requires approximately 2
megabytes of available storage space. The space required depends upon
what files you already have installed. The installation procedure
checks to see if you have enough available disk space. If you do not,
    the installation fails.
Part III: Exploding the Kit onto your system

Refer to release notes (ODBCRelnotes.wri) for a complete list of
    Software fixes.
    Installation Instructions
Once the self-extracting archive file ORA8174.EXE has been
exploded it will create an installable directory structure
onto your hard drive. Run the Oracle Universal Installer from
    your local drive.
    1. On the screen "File Locations" use the "Browse" button of
the source path to choose the file 'products.jar' from the
folder that ORA8174.EXE was extracted to. Choose 'Next'.
    2. You will receive a warning that some of the dependencies of
this product are not found in the staging area. This warning
is OK. The ODBC driver depends on the Net8 Client being already
installed on the system. Answer 'Yes' to continue.

  • ABAP Sneak Preview SP11 - NWDS:SAP Enterprise Connector error

    Hello
I have installed the ABAP 6.4 Sneak Preview SP11 (It works fine with the SAP GUI). I am trying to call Bapis from Java with the help of the proxies generated by "SAP Enterprise Connector". But the problem is that the "SAP Connection Wizard" does not progress any further after providing the R/3 system details(like hostname, sys number, client) and username/pasword. When I click the "Next Button" after providing the correct connection parameters it just stays there.

  • Problem uploading a PAR file from NWDS

I am having trouble uploading to one of my portal servers- I have always been able to upload to this server until last week when a database conversion and a change to the way SSO works (they implemented the spnego method of authentication) and now I can't upload to this server any longer.  Here is the log from the sap-plugin.log file.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Dana,
Try opening the url in the error trace directly and see what happens:
    http://tewk-eptst.global.avidww.com:54200/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prteventname/upload/prtroot/com.sap.portal.runtime.system.console.archiveuploader?login_submit=on&j_user=dboisver&j_password=newman12&j_authscheme=default&uidpasswordlogon=log%20on
You can see from the url that it tries to call the archiveuploader application directly, and that it passes your logon credentials (maybe you should change your password now ) and uses "default" authentication. The spnego authentication you mentioned, is it the default authentication method for the portal?
    Johan
