how can i pass multiple hyperlink in java, from 1 page to another page i want to open www.yahoo.com in second page how can i pass multiple hyperlink variable from 1 page to 2nd page please guide me..

How can I pass variables from one project to another using Javascript?

Hi all, I am trying to do this: let learners take one course and finish a quiz. Then based on their quiz scores, they will be sent to other differenct courses.
However, I wish keep track on their previous quiz scores as well as many other variables.
I found this nice widge of upload/download variables by CPguru (http://www.cpguru.com/2011/05/18/save-and-load-data-widget-for-adobe-captivate-4-and-adobe -captivate-5/). However, this widget works by storing variables from one project in local computer and then upload it to another project.
My targeted learners may not always use the same computer though, so using this widget seems not work.
All these courses resided in a local-made LMS which I don't have access to their code. Therefore, passing variables to PHP html files seems not work.
Based on my limited programing knowledge, I assume that using Javascript to pass variables may be the only possible way.
Can someone instruct me how to do this?

If you create two MIDlet in a midlet suite, it will display as you mentioned means you can't change the display style.

The function javascript:doSubmit not passing variables between pages

Hi,
I have an report that has a link to another page, and I'm trying to pass 2 variables. If I use a target URL as such the variables do not get passed, but if I use a page target and explicitly add the item name and values it works fine. Here is the call I'm using to javascript:doSubmit:
javascript:doSubmit('f?p=&APP_ID.:32:&SESSION.::&DEBUG.:32, CIR:P32_PROJ_ID,P32_DID:#AWARD_NUMBER#,#ID_PROVIDED#');
Does anyone have any insights?

You can't use doSubmit to pass variables; it will only submit your page with the request you passed in. All normal page processing and branching will be followed.. Why are you using doSubmit? Just put the URL in the URL field.

Not AFAIK. Use of variables outside of text containers and advanced actions is pretty lilmited. Even if you populate a variable associated with a TEB, or one associated with checkboxes/dropdown/radiobuttons interactions using an (advanced) action it will never show up (except with Jim's extended widgets). Could you please enter a feature request, I did already several like that. Same for advanced action: if we could concatenate strings with variables to create an action, a lot more would be possible or at least lot of long conditional actions could be avoided.

In Javascript you can use the DOM to access the input element and set it's value before submitting the form. Then it's value will just be passed.

Thanks for your suggestions. I want to make a custom prompt that is only my requirement. From JS I have made a custom slider prompt now I want to use this slider prompt to pass selected value in presentation variable. Since, we have slider prompt only for numbers, I have to use it for other values.
I just want to make my post looks simple and focus on the specific problem.

Dynamically creating variable names in javascript

Hi.
I have to create variable names dynamically in JavaScript.
My JSP file accesses information from Database and forms a String corresponding to the information received.
This String is passed to a JAvaScript function that should CREATE a variable with that NAME.
For Ex:
My database access resulted in a single row...
id name sal
34 John Smith 38000
the resulting VARIABLE NAME should be Menu34. 34 comes from the database result.
Is there any function to dynamically create a variable name in JavaScript?

The JSP is printing the contents of an HTML page, and Javascript code can be part of that output...
So you would just write out the stuff, something like this....

In the browser, it'll just look like another long list of Javascript variables.

Passing variables with page redirect

I have a cfform. After it is filled out and submitted, the
action page generates a random reference_no and puts the data into
a database. I then do a cflocation url and pass the reference_no to
another page. This page takes the reference_no and does a cfquery
again to get all the information just entered and displays it on
the form. A javascript popup/alert message then tells the user the
form was submitted with the reference_no and to print the form. I
was advised to do it this way so that the form cannot be
resubmitted again. Everything works fine the way I have it.
Now here is what I would like to do. After the form is
displayed with the popup, I would like to pause 3-5 seconds and
then redirect that page to another page that is identical (minus
the javascript popup message) with the cfdoucment tag because I
want them to print the form in pdf format. The problem I am having
is when I do another cflocation url at the end of the display page
and pass the referendce_no, to go to the pdf page, it works but it
never stops at the display page to display the javascript popup
message. So I tried to use the meta tag refresh rediredct set at 3
seconds and pass the reference_no. The display page with the
javascript message works then the page is redirected but the
reference_no is never passed and the pdf form comes up but without
anything to display. I guess you cannot pass variables in a meta
tag since that is not cf ?
How can I go from the page with the javascript popup to the
page with cfdocuement pdf format ?

You would have to craft the url of the popup page to pass the
reference_no. I'm going to assume that you're using the "Post"
method on your form, which means you have to pass the reference_no
form value as a url/GET value.

If you're just trying to prevent double submission, you could
just lock the
form from double submission clientside. In the method below,
it actually hides the form. There are other options such as
displaying an inline IFRAME which would simulate a popup and would
remain until the page was refreshed from the form submission. I
would also consider this old school. You might want to check out
other options as far as Web 2.0 using AJAX and frameworks such as
JQuery.

Passing variables from one swf to another

I am facing problem to pass variable from one swf to another.
I am using loadMovie to load another swf. how can I pass a variable
value to another swf. Can anyone help me plz? It is somewhat
urgent.

first of all:
this is the Flash Media Server and your problem is not
related to FMS....
second thing related to the "somewhat urgent" :
we, users on this forum, are not there to do your job... so
calm down otherwise no people will answer your question. This forum

Possibles solutions:
If the two swf are seperate you can use LocalConnection to
establish a connection between different swf.
If you load a second swf into the first one you can interact
like a standard movieClip(only if there from the same domain or if
you a policy file on the other server)
You can use SetVariable(via Javascript) to modify a root
variable on the other swf and check with an _root.onEnterFrame to
see if the variable had changed in the second swf.
* MovieClipLoader will do a better job, in your specify case,
than the loadMovie. Use the onLoadInit event to see when the swf is
really totaly loaded into the first one otherwise you will have
timing issues.
My final answer(lol) is the solution 2 with the
notice(*)

Jquery and serialize / passing variables

I already put this question on the jquery forum but noone responded. My question is about jquery.
I have this image gallery, people can drop and drag pictures, the idea is they can determine theirselves the order in which images are shown on their website.
I have the sortable part, but I don't know how to pass the new order to the next page that should contain a query that updates the ordernumber for each item.

When I use this and go to the next page thrugh submit button I get the error that sort_seriallized is an empty string. i must be doing something wrong. It has been 3 days i am on it:-)

Passing variables from shell script to separate sqlplus script

Hi, I am having issues passing variables to a separate sqlplus script invoked by the shell script, e.g.

The script picks up the $DB_NAME variable fine, and therefore invokes the required sql script.
However, when I pass the variable $PWD1 to the sql script I get an error.
The script creates a database link:

Your script was including a Unix style substitution, not an SQL*Plus script substitution, so that's seems to be the most likely cause of your problem.
And still you haven't come back to say whether it's worked for you or not... leaving others guessing as to whether you still need help.

Passing variables URL - IMP

I am working on a dashboard with some graphs and tables. For each Graph and Table I have a "Detail" button. This essentially gives user the functionality to see the underlying data with a navigational block et al for Drilldown.

My problem is what ever the variables selection have been chosen for the dashboard to run are not being carried to the detailed query.
Is there a solution for this. I tried hooking individual queries in the URL with infocube=XXXXX & Query=XXXXX.

i dont know which way use to pass values (Table Interface, JavaScript etc.).
1.) You know that you can create a Jump target with transaction RSBBS? There you can specify the variable values in the "assignment details" which should be passed to target query! This can be done only if you select a jump source and a jump target!

Passing variable values to the navigation block

Hi WAD Experts,
I have a requirement regarding passing variable values to the navigation block. User requirement is first give the selections on the selection screen and then after executign output should display in browser. In the output page we have a navigation block. So when user gives selections those selections should also populate in the navigation block. Your help will be appreciated.

if your variable is 'Changeable at Query Navigation' the chosen values will appear in the Navigationblock.
Variables which are 'Not Changeable at Query Navigation'
will not appear.
You can set this Property when you create a Variable.

Error when executing query without passing variable selection

I am getting an error while executing a query with out passing values for variables
When executing the query by passing the filter values report returns the data
When executing the query with out passing variable selections the error message is
Unknown error in SQL interface
Error reading the data of Info Provider ZCRM_O08
Error while reading data; navigation possible
System error in program SSAPLRS_EXCEPTION and form
RS_EXCEPTION_TO_MESSAGE
No Data Available
can any one please help me in resolving this
