Passing arguments/data for a tab click

Hi,
Is there a way to modify state, or pass arguments (set item values) when a tab is clicked?
The intent is to make specific data values (e.g.. items on the source page) available to the tab target page - and only the tab target page since there are multiple tabs available.

You cannot specify a URL (javascript: or any other) for a tab target, it has to be a page in the application.
Don't think of session state as a bunch of global variables that you have to avoid, this is not a programming language. Session state is managed automatically by the HTML DB engine, once an item is saved into session state, its value is available for use by any other application component.
Restating my earlier response...
Values in session state can be referenced from any other page in the application. Why do you need to set values only when the tab is clicked?
Another idea is to create OnLoad computations on your tab's target page that set whatever values you need.

I need to add new fields to invoice tab of tcode UDM_SUPERVISOR .
For this i am appending new fileds to structure FDM_COLL_INVOICE.
I need to calculate the new added fields and display it .
The suggested solution was using BADI FDM_COLL_SEND_ITEMS, but this BADI can only update table UDM_COLL_ITEM and not passing any data to the structure FDM_COLL_INVOICE.
can anyone help me me how to achieve this. Any BADI or exit available ?
Is that the structure would get the values automatically in the suggested BADI ?

My Query has been resolved using below option :-
I have used an implicit enhancement at the end of the FM FDM_COLL_INVOICES_READ to populate the additional fields added to structure FDM_COLL_INVOICE .

Does Safari use send referrer data for open tabs?

If I have 8 tabs open in iPhone Safari and click a link that opens a "new" window (new meaning it takes over an open tab), does Safari send the referrer to the destination's web site/analytics as the spawning URL or the page that was overtaken? I don't mind if it's the spawning but I hate the idea of the open page being shared.
Any insight anyone might have?

How to update (add new data in different tab) existing table from Excel

i've an existing table, for instance User Profile table, it consists of few tab in the table which contains different data... recently i've added new tab to the existing table and i would like to upload a particular data for this new tab... is there any way to upload (insert new data for the tab on existing data) this particular data into the existing table from Excel file?
could it be done by using lsmw?

Problem in passing Modified date through Go url

Hi All
I am trying to pass parameters through url to report.
Its working fine and passing row id of the record but when i try to pass modified date also, it takes me to no result view where i can see that value has been passed to report but the results are not filtered, instead no result view.
While passing date in url as parameter do we have extra consideration?
Anybody has faced smilar kind of scenario.

Accordion or Tabbed panel should to it, with click and open container.

And the each ASSET_TYPE column is to be divided into 2 sub-columns (MARGIN,AMOUNT_SECURED).
I am able to achevie this.
The problem is that ,for the schemecode 171095, since there is no data for ASSET_TYPE "Loans To Govt",no cells are generated for this SCHEMECODE and ASSET TYPE.
But the requirement is to generate blank cells.
If needed i will send the template at xml files also.

try this, there must be simpler one i guess...
1. take a form field, and make its type as number. Paste the below one <?xdoxslt:set_variable($_XDOCTX,'v1',2)?>
2. now take a table with as below,

So, I have a need to parameterize my templates so I can dynamically compile and execute them as needed. I have read on some blogs that it is possible to use FORMATMESSAGE for user string formatting but I can't seem to get that working on my end and
would appreciate help getting this running.

Based on my testing, the first query runs fine in a SQL Server 2012 while I got the same error in your post when trying to run it in a SQL Server 2008R2.
After going through the BOL of the FORMATMESSAGE for both versions, something came into my sight. The note below was removed in the 2012 BOL.
FORMATMESSAGE works only with messages created using
sp_addmessage.
BOL:FORMATMESSAGE(2008)
BOL:FORMATMESSAGE(2012)
The messages created using sp_addmessage can be viewed by using the sys.messages. Thus in SQL Server 2008, you have to follow the example to use the function or you get the error in your post.

You don't have to pass the data to any page.
onInit method of controller set your oData model like this.

Here you can see i have binded the oData with table.
Just what i am seeing that you are trying to pass this model to a page. You don't have to do so. Just bind your oData with relevant elements lite table or anything by writing like this.
oTable.bindRows("oDataId>/value");
these functions are different for different elements.
for listItem you may write like this.

Passing a value for date parameter from Oracle Forms to BIP

I have created a report with the following SQL query:

The parameters P_CRE_DATE_FROM and P_CRE_DATE_TO have been set up as date in BI Publisher with format dd-MMM-yyyy
The report works fine when launched in BI Publisher.
I want to call this report from Oracle Forms and I'm trying to pass the values for both the parameters. However, the report does not generate output based on values passed.
Does it have to do with datatype? Does anyone know a solution for this?

Thanks for your suggestion. I am already referring to the whitepaper and have integrated Forms with BI Publisher. The parameter passing is working fine for a varchar2 type of parameter. However, for a date type, there seems to be some problem.

I cannot find all my installed apps on the "use cellular data for" tab on the settings menu.

I have a new iphone 5s and on the first day I've received it, I updated to IOS 8.0.2.
Today, I've decided to turn my cellular data on and, in order to consume less data, I thought I would disable some of the apps. However, only a few were available/visible on the "use cellular data for" tab. However, when, with the cellular data turned on, I opened a missing app on the phone, it would start to appear on the list (where it wasn't previously). Also, when I go to the app on the settings menu, it would not have shown the option, "use cellular data" before I've opened the app and now it does. Do I need to turn on every single app before I can select my cellular data preferences? I know people with the same phone and their apps appear all, as expected.
I don't know if this is a problem of my own carrier but I don't think so, because the people I mentioned earlier have the same carrier.
Any help would be appreciated.

Did you try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Appel logo comes back again? You will not lose data by resetting.
If this does not work, did you try to switch off Cellular Data, restart the phone and switch it back on again?

When I open a new tab, I have to move to the other side of the page to click "home". Can I set the same "home" default for new tabs?

My home page opens in the initial FireFox window, but new tabs open with a blank page. To get to my default page I have to click "home", but now it's way over on the other side of the page.

right click on the control bar and choose "adapt" (or something like that). A window will pop up. Ignore that window and move the home button to the place you want it ''on the control bar''

Try using the Software Update on your iPhone by going to Settings > General > Software Update. One thing to keep in mind if you are trying it on the computer is to make sure that you are not pressing any keys down when checking for updates as that may bring up a pop up window to find the update file.

In XD01 transaction , In Sales area data, In Sales tab i need to add a Check box which i already have added.This check box refers to KNVV table-Zflag
In VA01 transaction , In menu goto -> header -> Sales , In Additional data B .
I have another Check box. This check box refers to Vbaktable-Zflag .

   Our custom logic will be initiated once the Sold-to Party (VBAK-KUNNR) is entered for any order type. When the sold-to party is entered the user exit program will check table KNVV for the custom field ZFLAG that corresponds to the Print Prices on Delivery Note flag (hereafter referred to as the Pricing Flag) and populate the same setting of the flag into the ZFLAG that will be on the Additional data B tab on a sales order at the header. The user can manually change VBAK-ZFLAG Pricing Flag setting to something different than what is populated for the customer master level.
If the user happens to change the sold-to party for any reason then the user exit program should take the following approach when populating the ZFLAG Pricing Flag in a sales order:
-     Recheck the ZFLAG Pricing Flag setting in the customer master for the sold-to party that the user has newly selected.
The user will still have the option to manually ZFLAG Pricing Flag on a sales order after the user exit program defaults it.
