Passing dynamic jndi destination to jms adapter in SOA Suite

hi i post this thread in SOA Suite category,
but havent got any answer yet,
maybe someone in weblogic jms community here have an answer :)
im interfacing Weblogic JMS 10.3 with SOA Suite 11gR1 BPEL/JMS Adapter,
and i need to pass a dynamic destination jndi to message producing adapter in the orchestration process.
details here:
Re: SOA Suite 11g - dynamic JNDI destination JMS adapter

Hi,
If someone is looking to dynamically set the JMSqueue name here is the solution.
in the Invoke activity set "jca.jms.JMSDestinationName"
value to "JMSHeaderVariable"
set the type to "input"
in the JMSHeaderVariable set the queue name dynamically.
and in the JMSadapter give any valid queue name, still the message will be routed to the queue which you have set in the invoke adapter.

    hi,
    as it's not in Adapter-Specific Message Properties

    looks like you cannot do it with jms adapter in standard
    use proxy or your own adapter instead

  • Trying to integrate with User Messaging Service adapter in SOA suite.Can it be possible through an JMS interface.

    Trying to integrate with User Messaging Service adapter in SOA suite. Can it be possible through an JMS interface.
    I have an JMS backend integrated to Oracle B2B. Is it possible to send an email protocol message using JMS interface to B2B where User messaging Service has been implemented. The adapters required for UMS have been deployed and the sdpmessaging jar files also have been added to the classpath. The only problem i face is i dont have an BPEL system to integrate where as in the forums it has been mentioned how to post a message using BPEL.
    Please let me know if there is a way to integrate the adapter with JMS interface.
    Thanks in advance
    Deepak

    If I remember correct, to use JCA adapter with SOA stack requires that adapter implement some Oracle API.
    The Adapter SDK is a light-weight tool kit that enables rapid implementation and deployment --- http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/integration/adapters/pdf/DS_OracleASAdapter.pdf
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B16981_04/current/acrobat/cct115dg.pdf
    Mostly you will have to wrap your jca adapter to make it available in SOA suite/stack.
    Other option is that you adapter provider would have given CCI interface or some custom interface which can be used for invoking adapter end-points.

  • Read from a config file in File Adapter in SOA Suite 11g

    I want to read from a config file in order to determine whether to archive or delete the file after processing using file adapter in SOA Suite 11g. How do i do that.

    only part i replied on was the part of how to read a file
    but i think in your case you could do the next
    use the sync file adapter to read in the file during your process
    based on this content you set a variable "myOutputDirectory"
    then create a file adapter (write) which will store the file on file system

    Frankly -- this documentation is really irritating. It makes a lot of assumptions and is far to vague in places. • SOA Suite 11g - dynamic JNDI destination JMS adapter

    hi there soa suite users,
    im currently using oracle soa suite 11g,
    my use case having a bpel process processing something
    and then route the result to several queue.
    like this:
    jms/adminduk/queue/mks1
    jms/adminduk/queue/pdg1,
    etc...
    so the destination name can be build dynamically in the bpel,
    and i stored in a string variable "destName".
    (im using WLS 10.3 jms)
    now i need to invoke a jms adapter service with produce operation,
    but the queue destination needs to be using the variable "destName".
    i already tried using assigning to property "jca.jms.JMSDestinationName"
    in the invoke activity.
    <invoke ...>
    <bpelx:inputProperty name="jca.jms.JMSDestinationName"
    variable="destName"/>
    </invoke>
    but it seems not working, and im getting this error:

    this is a basic use case of jms interoperability,
    anyone have answers to this ??
    thank you :)

    Hi,
    If someone is looking to dynamically set the JMSqueue name here is the solution.
    in the Invoke activity set "jca.jms.JMSDestinationName"
    value to "JMSHeaderVariable"
    set the type to "input"
    in the JMSHeaderVariable set the queue name dynamically.
    and in the JMSadapter give any valid queue name, still the message will be routed to the queue which you have set in the invoke adapter.

  • How to pass dynamic filename to Receiver JMS channel

    Hi experts,
    I want to pass the dynamic filename to receiver JMS message Properties.
    for example
    I am passing directory name via adapter module AF_Modules/DynamicConfigurationBean with key and value combination like below. How to pass dynamic filename value to a dynamic property ( say DCJMSMessageProperty1)
    eg.
    key.0 - >insert http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/JMS DCJMSMessageProperty0
    value.0 - >  testdirectory ( which is static value)
    Note: Im have not created any ESR object . i just have to bypass the file to a jms queue. I have used AAE integrated configuration scenario ( file to jms )

    Already given link for the dynamic configuration code snippet in the earlier reply... Below is the code snippet
    Note: Use Adapter Specific Message Attributes for the target Communication Channel(CC).Check the indicator for filename in the advanced tab of CC
    //UDF code
    String filename="";
    String NameSpace = "http:/"+"/sap.com/xi/XI/System/JMS";

  • Dynamic configuration bean in JMS Adapter

    Hello Experts,
    My scenario is JMS(Active MQ) to File.Its just Passthrough scenario and no mapping involved.
    Filename will be coming in one of the JMS Property (say businessId) and I need to set this filename to file adapter.
    I have refered the stefan's blog and used the Dynamic configuration bean module in sender JMS adapter.
    getFilename key.1 write http://sap.com/xi/System/JMS DCJMSMessageProperty4
    getFilename value.1 module.filename
    setFilename key.1 read http://sap.com/xi/System/File FileName
    setFilename value.1 module.filename
    But required filename is not populated in the target File.Any other configuration is missing here?

    Hi Karthiga
    Did you set the ASMA properties in both your sender JMS channel and receiver File channel?
    For the JMS adapter, as shown below, you will need to enter the DCJMSMessageProperty4 into the table
    Configuring the Sender JMS Adapter - Configuring the JMS Adapter in the Integration Directory/PCK - SAP Library
    If you want to set additional JMS message attributes, select Specify Additional JMS Message Properties (Maximum of 10).
    In the table, enter the names of the JMS message properties whose values are to be included in the message header of the PI message.
    The technical names of the additional attributes are DCJMSMessageProperty0, DCJMSMessageProperty1, ..., DCJMSMessageProperty9.
    For the File adapter, you need to check the ASMA FileName attribute.
    Once you have this configured, in your message, you should be able to see that the value is in the DynamicConfiguration section of the SOAP header.

  • Dynamic JNDI name for database adapter in BPEL

    Hi All,
    I am having some major issues trying to make the JNDI location for the database adapter dynamic (10.1.3.4). I already went through the followin link, but that didnt work for me: http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/articles/bpel_cookbook/carey.html
    The below example works, but only the first run. Second time around the first runs JNDI value gets retained and connects to that database.
    This is what worked atleast the first time.
    I parameterized the JNDI with a variable defined in the partnerlink definition in the bpel.xml
    In Bpel. xml
    <partnerLinkBinding name="updatetbl">
    <property name="wsdlLocation">updatetbl.wsdl</property>
    <property name="CONN">eis/DB/na</property>
    <property name="retryInterval">60</property>
    </partnerLinkBinding>
    In the updatetbl.wsdl file
    <service name="updatetbl">
    <port name="updatetbl_pt" binding="tns:updatetbl_binding">
    <jca:address location="$CONN"/>
    </port>
    </service>
    At run time I change the partnerlink CONN variable in embedded Java.
    try
    Element targetAdapterElement =(Element)getVariableData("Invoke_getFromTbl_OutputVariable","getFromTblOutputCollection","/ns2:getFromTblOutputCollection/ns2:getFromTblOutput/ns2:SRC_JNDI");
    getLocator().lookupProcess("JndiIssueTest").getDescriptor().getPartnerLinkBindings().getPartnerLinkBinding ("updatetbl").setPropertyValue ("CONN",targetAdapterElement.getTextContent());
    ("updatetbl").getPropertyValue ("CONN"));
    catch(Exception ex)
    addAuditTrailEntry("Error is " + ex);
    This works fine the first time, but the second time I run it to look at a different CONN value, it somehow still connects using the first runs value!
    If I redeploy or clear the WSDL cache, it works. But we plan to run it multiple times from several environment so manually or programatically clearing WSDL is not the right solution.
    Can someone tell me what is the standard process of doing this so it works everytime?
    Thanks,
    Shaf

    Shaf,
    Please refer the mail thread for details. If you want I can send you(send me your email id) the sample BPEL process which uses Dynamic JNDI.

  • Reading Message from Foreign JMS Queue in SOA Suite 11g.

    Hi,
    I am trying to read a JMS message that has been put into a JMS Queue on a remote weblogic Server.
    The steps that I know is that I need to create a foreign JMS Server and then probably use JMS Adapter to subscribe to the message that is lying in the remote queue.
    Has anybody been able to achieve this kind of scenario working for a remote JMS queue? Also, is this supported by JMS Adapter in SOA11g?
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Varun Maheshwari

    Hi Atheek1,
    Thanks for your reply.
    The confusion that is pondering me is that do I need to create a Foreign JMS Server or should I create a JMS adapter and override the properties.
    I have tried the steps for creating a Foreign Server from the below link
    Unable to access remote JMS Queue through JMS Adapter
    But I am not able to find the Foreign Server created and any connection factories and Destinations related to foreign Server in my JMS Destination while configuring JMS Adapter.
    I am not sure how to do step2 as entailed by you.
    Could you please explain me in little detail on how to do this or redirect me to some blog or forum which will be really helpful.
    Cheers,
    Varun

    Hi,
    The JNDI Name to use for the service connection is "eis/DB/soademoDatabase".
    This Database is a requirement of the course... (Chapter 4 of Getting Started with Oracle SOA Suite 11g R1 - A Hands-On Tutorial).

  • Problem after restart of a database used by a database adapter in SOA suite

    We are migration from Oracle interconnect to SOA suite. I am a bit worried that I am taking a backwards step in robust drift. I restarted a Oracle database that is used as an end point in both interconnect and SOA. In both cases the database adapter in interconnect and the partner link in SOA start throwing java error messages. This is not the problem, what worries me is that with Interconnect restarting the database adapter allows queued messages to be written to the database, nothing goes missing. But with SOA suite the messages that could not be delivered before restarting SOA suite end as "canceled" that is to say they do NOT get completed. What happened to guaranteed transaction delivery? or am i missing something.

  • Access to package through database adapter in Soa suite problems

    Hi,
    We have to build a bpel process that inserts data in Oracle EBS custom tables. We have to use Soa suite 10.1.3.4.0.
    In Oracle EBS we have made a custom api with a pl/sql record and 2 pl/sql tables as argument.
    When i made a database adapter, Jdeveloper made a wrapper package to translate to this custom api.
    Under the user apps this works fine.
    But I have the following problem: Our customer does not want us to connect to apps schema direct.
    So we made another user that is granted to the custom api , the wrapper api and the types for the wrapper api.
    I even created public synonyms for all these objects.
    But still runtime in BPEL console these errors occurs:
    An error occurred while preparing and executing the APPS.XXEPF_BPEL_VERWERK_ASSIGNMENT.XXEPF_INHUUR_ASS_BERICHT_PKG$ API. Cause: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-06550: line 1, column 7:

    When i update only the location in the wsdl:
         <jca:address location="eis/DB/inflex" UIConnectionName="eli_apps_ontw2"
              ManagedConnectionFactory="oracle.tip.adapter.db.DBManagedConnectionFactory" />
            </port>
    to "eis/DB/inflex2" the same proces runs fine.
    (inflex2 connects to apps and inflex2 to XXEBSBPELQ)
    Anybody an idea?

    Are the types defined in the same way in both schema's?
    Vaguely remember that there was some restriction to use DB and EBS adapter that types had to be owned by the schema that was connecting to it. Please check the docs for this.

  • How to pass dynamic values to JDBC Database adapter in PureSQL operation?

    I want to fetch the records from the table via JDBC database adapter with the criteria but I should not hardcode the values inside my query. I am using Execute by PureSQL operation. Values might change in future and it is the reason I should not hardcode the values and instead I should pass it dynamically.
    This is my query:
    SELECT FROM Table0 t0, Table1 t1 WHERE t0.Field1= 'ABC' AND t0.Field2= 'DEF' AND t0.Field3 = 'CBA' AND t1.FLAG IS NULL AND t1.Field1 = t0.Field4*
    The values 'ABC', 'DEF', 'CBA', 'NULL' are not fixed and it can be changed. Hence, I need to pass the values for these fields dynamically. What must be passed in the query and where to pass the User Defined Values during the run time.
    Please can anyone suggest how to resolve this. I am using SOA 11g.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    Ensure that you use the Adapter Configuration Wizard to do the query modification suggested by Arik. This will allow the schema for the DB Adapter getting created automatically. Also revisit this schema to assure that the data types of the bind parameters (parameters with #) have been correctly populated in the schema.
    You can get some help from this too although this doesn't fully match your use-case.
