Passing item id based on checkbox selection in sharepoint library

Seeking help on how to pass item id via query string into InfoPath form webpart (via connector)
I have the infopath webpart form and query string all set up and the url works when I provide the value required for the field
My problem is, the value will be driven by the user based on them selecting the checkbox next to the document in the library
Its then actioned through them selecting the quickstep button I have set up in the ribbon which has the url in it
The url I have set up is: http: / / test.abc.com.au/sites/abcd/Lists/NEW FEEDBACK/newform.aspx?title=blah
'title' is what the string is detecting and blah is what is being pulled through to the form
Any ideas?

I've got myself a bit stuck on a job I've got here, this javascript is getting the better of me.
The idea is that this script takes the sub total, and adds a creditcard surcharge (as a percentage) based upon a checkbox selection, then spits out the value to be entered into another field.
If anyone could have a quick look over the following and let me know where I've gone wrong, it would be appreciated.

Thanks George, I've given this a whirl and got very close... I got a NaN error, and found I was calling "SubTotal" a value twice, which was playing funny buggers!
I've got rid of one part (the if creditcard.value === "Off") as it wasn't acting like it should. I think I had to put it in a seperate function, to be called seperately then the rest of the code... However, I need to get the job out and it wasn't crucial.

How to script text field based on checkbox selection

I've written a script to format specific text boxes based on what checkbox is chosen. However, I'm not sure what I need to script in order to CLEAR the text field once the checkbox is unchecked. As it stands now if the checkbox is selected it formats the text field with the necessary information, but if it's unchecked the information stays in the box. I'd like to be something like 'if all boxes are Off then display 0.00.' I've included the current script for reference

Calling the smartform based on checkbox selection in ALV

i displayed the report output in ALV using 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'. I maintained checkboxes as first column of data.
and i also added three user defined buttons like check,uncheck,print form. Now my problem is when user selecting the records in ALV using the checkbox,i have to call the smartform based up on user selection of check box.i done but it is coming only for one checkbox.if we select multiple checkboxes it is not coming.but i need smartform has to call for every checkbox user has selected.

according to you code,
READ TABLE I_DATA INTO WA_DATA INDEX FU_SELFIELD-TABINDEX.
the fu_selfield-tabindex contains only one number , so its trigger only one check box, it is not correct to loop i_data .
take the records which are checked and loop that internal table , using check_changed_data u can select multiple records which are checked.
one importent thing , use sy-subrc after read statement bcz see example
in second loop if the read statement has failed but the work area contains the data , so beware check sy-subrc= 0 . after read.
debug your program and check every time FU_SELFIELD-TABINDEX will be same . so reads same record so many time how many times the loop had.
instead do like this
loop at i_data into wa_data where check = 'x'.
MOVE-CORRESPONDING WA_DATA TO WA_PRINT.
endloop.

Display multiple records based on checkbox selection

Hi - I have a cfm page that displays all the employees in the
company (select * from employee). I have a checkbox next to each
one of the employee name. I want the users to be able to select the
checkbox and view phone number of selected employees (select
phone_number from employee where emp_id = 12, 15, 18, 20, 31) I
know I'll have to use some kind of loop to pick these employees and
display ... but I don't know how to write that loop ... can
somebody please help!

Generate Comp based on dropdown list and checkbox selection?

I currently have a dropdown list with three sizing options in it. Then I have two check mark boxes, one if checked ideally would create the template at its normal composition size and if the other checkbox is checked it would inverse the widthxheight of the composition size. Then below that I have a "generate" button that I want to be able to click and depending on my selections it creates the comp.
It sounds like I need some sort of if then statement but I'm having a hard time putting the two together. See below what I have so far.
There may be parts missing but I have it all working in a decibel pallate currently. I just don't have the functionality tied to a button yet.
Any help would be much appreciated!!!

When I work with dropdowns I always like to attach the data they represent (like width and height of the comp in this case) directly to the items.
I didn't execute the code to really check it, but it should work like this:

I want to know what is the procedure/code in VBA for passing the calc scripts dynamically based on the selection.
For example:

In the above code instead of the *"Calc_Script name"* I want a script which is called dynamically and the values are calculated accordingly.

This is the situation:
I have a calc script in Essbase which I can call to perform the calculations on the current sheet that is retrieved. I want calculation for the following formulas:
x = EssVCalculate("Sheet2", "CalcBC", False)
CalcBC is my calc script which is present in Essbase
So instead of passing the above script I want to pass the conditions dynamically in the VBA code . I don't want to mention the script name directly in EssVCalculate option
For example:
I have three drop down menus from which I would select three different( zero level )members. It would then retrieve the data for that particular values in the excel sheet and now when I click on Calculate button it should calculate the script dynamically.
I don't know how calc scripts can be executed dynamically in the VBA code itself.

The 3rd list will not populate because nothing has been selected yet in list 2. The value in list 2 is null, so the loop to populate list (3) has nothing to load. Try the following below. This should seed your 2nd list so the 3rd list will populate.

How to pass a value to a checkbox

I have a small report with drill down to another one.
In the first report on page 1, I have a link to the second report on page 2. In order to drill down, I need to pass some values to an element on the page 2 becasue the report on the second page is run based on the valuse comming from the page elements. So far so good. I am using the following link:
f?p=&APP_ID.:2:&SESSION.::&DEBUG.::P2_STATUS:VALUE
where VALUE is a string I want to pass to the element on the page 2.
The problem is, that the element on the page 2 is a checkbox, having a default value like:
ENTERED:BOOKED
The value I want to pass is ENTERED:BOOKED:CLOSED and this doesn't work. Probably because of the colon. It passes only the value 'ENTERED' to the chackbox but not the rest of it.
How do I solve this?

Yes, you cant pass item values containing a ":" using the f?p= syntax.
But there is a workaround, see

Create a condition based on a select

Hi, I have the necessity to create a condition, inside a report, based on a select, for example (when I build a condition):
Item: "Item (RUO)".Description
Condition: IN
Values: select item_description from ISUPP_LOV_RUO_SLA_PRODUCTS_V -> 3 values
How can I dynamically pass these 3 values to the condition, without using hard coded strings as 'A','B','C' ??

Hi,
If you are using Discoverer Desktop then you can create a condition based on a subquery. You create worksheet that returns those 3 rows then create the condition where then item is in the first worksheet.
If you are Discoverer Plus then you will have to join the folders in the EUL. So you create a folder for ISUPP_LOV_RUO_SLA_PRODUCTS_V and join it to the report folder using "Item (RUO)".Description = ISUPP_LOV_RUO_SLA_PRODUCTS_V.item_description .

We make Approval Group based on item category for PR or PO approval. The question is , i want to get approval group based on item or its category. Just pass item id and get which approval group is going to approval this item.
i got po_control_rules table it just contains categories range in description form, but didn't get any proper help.

Shaukat,
First do select category_id from mtl_item_categories using inventory_item_id.
You may get multiple records back. In that case, use the category_set_id to narrow down to the record that is applicable.
Then select the category segments from mtl_categories using the category_id.
Then compare the segments with the segment fields in po_control_rules to identify the correct approval group.

I tried using the DropDown Box - (not much usefull to select more than one Key Figure)
and CheckBox web items - I have to do multiple selections (Not very much suitable if the Key figures are too many).

Hi,
One alternative would be to save two additional copies of the query (each with different units) and code your dropdown box with the RESET_DATA_PROVIDER command.
So if your queries were:
Z_QUERY_CSE
Z_QUERY_T3
Z_QUERY_PAK
You would define the default unit (I'll assume CSE) in yoru web template, and code your dropdown box entries to switch the Data Provider (I'll asume DP1) to the appropriate query.
The code behind "T3" in your dropdown box would be:

Hi all, I need to create a condition based on a select that retrieve dynamically a LOV.
So, the condition have to be:
inventory_item_id NOT IN (SELECT inventory_item_id FROM apps.mtl_system_items_kfv WHERE concatenated_segments = 'GENERAL_FAULTS_IPTV')
I need to create a LOV based on this select without making any join with the folder which contains the field inventory_item_id, because otherwise I have the contradiction:
and o124757.INVENTORY_ITEM_ID = o118741.INVENTORY_ITEM_ID -- join between the main custom folder (o118741) and the LOV custom folder (o124757)
and o118741.INVENTORY_ITEM_ID NOT IN (o124757.INVENTORY_ITEM_ID) -- condition
These two condition together don't show any data, obviously....This means also, that I can't use a calculated field, because if I want to see this field, I have to create a join, another time, with the main custom folder.
I tried to create a LOV on the Administrator, but when I create the condition I have to check manually the values....and if in the future this LOV will increase I need every time to re-check all the values.....instead I need that the inventory_item_id have to be NOT IN dinamically in the list of values retrieved by the select.
Anybody has inplemented something similar ??

You want to add this condition to the first query it holds good for this scenerio.All the items which are NOT IN will be retrieved.Here you are selecting other than "General_faults_iptv"
But again your trying to select in the second query where you want "General_faults_iptv"
SELECT inventory_item_id
FROM apps.mtl_system_items_kfv
WHERE concatenated_segments = 'GENERAL_FAULTS_IPTV'
If you carefully go through what your doing,you will understand.In the above explantion ,there will be no records generated.First query your saying NOT IN and again your saying for the same IN,how will records retrieve its meaningless.
I dont know what you want to get from second query.I would suggest you to do is dont use the second query and just use the first query and you will get.Here is the query and this will give you result.
SELECT incidents.INVENTORY_ITEM_ID,
pcodes.PROBLEM_NAME
FROM apps.cs_incidents_all_b incidents,apps.jtf_rs_problem_codes_v pcodes
WHERE incidents.category_id IN (SELECT category_id
