Passing values to collection.

Hi,
I am passing the values to collection through hidden fields.
Only one value is added into the collection. I am not able get the remaining field values.
I am using the application level process to add the values in collection.
any solution for this?

Basically, i have a method that will return a Collection of Bean.
public Collection<PersonBean> getResults(String query) ,
in which query contains my sql select statement.
then i issued this following commands inside this method,
Statement stmt = cn,createStatement();
Resultset rs = stmt.executeQuery(query);
Then, i put the fetched records in a bean
while (rs.next()) {
personbean.setName(rs.getString("name"));
personbean.setAddress(rs.getString("address"));
Assuming i have a personBean and a DBConnection already established.
My question is how can i add each record to a collection, everytime rs.next loops, because the method will return a collection of bean.

I am using Remote Object(Flex 3) for passing the data
between java and flex. I am using the BlazeDS as the bridge. I have
to pass an array collection containing value objects to the java
method. I have created the value object in both the client side(AS)
and server side (java) and registered my AS value object using

Hi there. That's a perfectly reasonable question.
Take a look at the section of the Flex documentation with the title "Explicitly mapping ActionScript and Java objects" in the Data Access section of the doc.

Your BananaVO ActionScript class needs a RemoteClass metadata tag that will tell the AMF deserialization code on the server what Java class to map the object to.

How to pass values at runtime in JDBC - XI - File scenario

Hi friends,
In my scenario, data is coming from R/3 and i need to filter records from oracle database based on this data. There are 4 database tables that need to be queried using 2 select statements. The resultset after the execution of query will be mapped to the target flat file structure.
here are my queries:
1) Can I avoid BPM as data needs to be collected from the two database calls which involves two sender JDBC adapter instances with only one target structure?
2) Can I use stored procedure in this scenario? If yes, than how to pass values to stored procedure at runtime via sender JDBC adapter.

Read the below line that is mentioned in the SAP help documentation fro Sender JDBC adapter:-
<i>Specify an SQL EXECUTE statement to execute a stored procedure, which contains exactly one SELECT statement.</i>
I dont think it can be achieved...but there must be some workaround for this. You can probably use a join statement.
Read this, again from the documentation:-
<i>The expression must correspond to the SQL variant supported by the relevant JDBC driver. It can also contain table JOINs.</i>

Passing values to javascript from database

I have to fetch values from the database and pass the values to the java script variable.
I tried this, but is not working. When i place the script inside the java, it isnt working. Iam passing value to this script variable as argument to a function. This is my code:

Keep this in mind: JSP is source generation software.
In other words JSP generates the HTML and/or Javascript that will be rendered on the browser. So What you need to do is keep the JSP and Javascript separate in your mental picture. You ask yourself, "what would the finished Javascript code look like that would give me the results?" Then you apply JSP as a template to fill in the blanks. In your example you want a list or an array of values in your Javascript. I don't use Javascript to often but from memory I belive an array in Javascript is something like this:

I don't know how you can query the using values from the database. Anyhow it poses as a good example of how to apply the concept of the two technologies. (Also, why are you doing a System.out from JSP? You should be calling log() if you want console output.) The whole idea is that JSP can NOT talk directly to Javascript. It can only generate Javascript dynamically before it is received by the browser.

Is any way to get keys according to values in collection?

Have a look at FM CONDITION_RECORD_READ. Don't fill PI_KOTABNR, then whole access sequence is searched (otherwise just one step of the access).
To fill KOMK and KOMP structures, you can get help from FM WV_KOMK_FILL_V, WV_KOMP_FILL_V (sales) or ME_FILL_KOMK_PO, ME_FILL_KOMP_PO (purchasing).

Hi, I am calling a Background job in my program. I am using JOB_OPEN, JOB_SUBMIT and JOB_CLOSE FM to start a job. My need is to pass a value to the job program(job program doesnt have any selection screen values). Is their any way without creating variants each time to pass value to it.

You can first use JOB_OPEN which returns job number. Then build ranges or parameters to use SUBMIT to call the program.
Eg: SUBMIT RM06BB20 AND RETURN
      WITH S_EKGRP IN R_EKGRP
      WITH S_EKORG IN R_EKORG
      WITH S_FLIEF IN R_FLIEF
      WITH S_KONNR IN R_KONNR
      USER sy-uname VIA JOB w_jobname
      NUMBER w_job_number.
Now use JOB_CLOSE.

I think he meant the global namespace.
You set a :global_your_name_here to a value and that value is available in your entire application. See the help file section on the global namespace for more information.
Forms parameters are parameters that you form picks up from the outside when it starts. The calling entity must supply them in the URL or they will be set to null. You set them up in the object navigator in the Parameters node.

I am Automating STATSPACK reporting by modifying the sprepins.sql script.
Using DBMS_JOB I take the snap of the database and at the end of the day the cron job creates the statspack report and emails it to me.
I am storing the snapshot ids in the database and when running the report picking up the recent ids(begin snap and end snap).
From the sprepins.sql script

could it be the begin_ and end_ Colums of your query?
Seems SQL*PLUS hs parsing problems?
try to fetch another column from that table
and see if the error raises again.

Í have a scenario where i need to pass value from Crystal Report to a Business view's parameter.
Eg : CurrentCEUsername (func in crystal report)-- gives login user which i should pass to parameter in a Business view (used in the same report).

I guess you got the picture wrong. User_id is not a report_level parameter .
In Data Foundation, below query is used..
select Acc_Number, Account_Group,User_id from Accounts where user_id={?User_id}
where in {?User_id} is the BV parameter...
The Filter was a solution. But it takes long time to Query all the data from DB and then filter at BV level.
How do i pass the CurrentCEUsername to {?User_id}
Value should ve CurrentCEusername always. so that query will be
select Acc_Number, Account_Group,User_id from Accounts where user_id=CurrentCEusername
It will restrict the data pulled from DB to BV .. right?

Error getting value from collection to a date picker field

Hi all,
I'm stumble with getting correct data value from collection.
The column is described as
'wwv_flow_item.date_popup(3,null, c002, 'dd/mm/yyyy', 10, 10) purchase_date'
This field is causing error: 'report error:
ORA-01843: invalid month'
I'm sure, c002 has correct value '08/08/2003' because I've temporarily changed description of the field to
'htmldb_item.text(3,c002,10) purchase_date' that returned correct value.
What can be wrong? I'm puzzled.
Any suggestion please.

Are you sure that when you used 'htmldb_item.text(3,c002,10) purchase_date' you got 08/08/yyyy and not 0808yyyy. I have seen that message often in Oracle (outside of HTMLDB) and it is normally when one assumes one format when it is actually another, or the leading zero gets dropped (08082005 becomes 8082005, which converts to 80/82/0205).

We want to dynamically pass values from remote machines into the given input parameters of a Given Search help and receive the output into a table (no dialogs required .. so no pop ups )
I wrote a test program to just test if we can really do that at runtime ?
This program pops up the window of search help First I want to surpress that window and Second I have no clue
( How to pass the input parameters as value eg. 20 to a given field as we pass manually )

Or do you want to read one int from the array and assign it to an int variable? This is how you read the first one,
myValue = kromosom[0];

Anyone knows how to pass value from Java to Perl program?

Did you write the perl program? Can you change it? Or are you trying to interface to something that already exists? This will limit your options, of course.
Anyway the first option is simple. The java program does this:
System.out.println("This is a line of input.");The perl program does this:
while(<>)and in that block, $_ is assigned to each line of input.
Then you can invoke both like this:
$ java MyJavaProgram | perl MyPerlProgram.pl
