Passing variable type c length 64

I want to pass a variable of length 64 and char type
Currently this is what I have, but it should be yvalues(64) type c.
data: yvalues type c.
perform fcc_values using yvalues.
FORM fcc_values using xvalues type c.

Hi,
Not sure what you are looking for..
But try this..You can use CHAR64 data element..
DATA: yvalues TYPE CHAR64.
PERFORM fcc_values USING yvalues.
FORM fcc_values USING xvalues TYPE char64.
ENDFORM.
Thanks,
Naren

  • Variable type Hierarchy, how to get the value from another similar variable

    Hi.
    We have created a variable, type hierarchy (using ORGEH hierarchy in HR based on 0ORGUNIT). Let's call this VAR1. We want to fill this with an User Exit, beacuse we want VAR1 to have the value from another variable, VAR2, which is also type hierarchy (and based on the same characteristic).
    However, when we program this user exit and use the VAR1 afterwards, it just behaves as if we have a single characteristic value and not a node value. As a result, we just get posts which do have the 'parent itself' as characteristic value, and none of the subnodes...  Any hints as to what we can do in our User exit to get the value passed over from VAR2 to VAR1 as a node value? Is there any spesific syntax to be used here that we are missing? ( The VAR1 and VAR2 are both defined as hierarchy variables, we have double checked...).

    Hi,
    are you on BI7.0? There you can create variables type replacement path and get the value out from a different variable without any coding.

  • How to pass variable form javacript to java BackingBean

    Hello,
    I am trying to pass variable from Javascript method (which is written in jspx) page to a Java BakingBean.

    <SCRIPT type="text/javascript">
    function OnSave() {
    alert("The signature you have taken is the following data: " + SigPlus1.SigString);
    </SCRIPT>
    of course, this method will be called after the use press save button as follow:
    <INPUT id="submit1" name="Save" type="submit" value="Save" onclick="OnSave()"/>
    As you can see this Javascript will alert the result to the user. Instead I want to pass the object ( SigPlus1) to a Java Bean.

  • Creating character variable with dynamic length

    Hello Experts,
    I need to send contents of an internal table via FTP in character mode,
    the entire contents of a internal table is concatenated in a string(v_string) which needs to be moved to the character variable of same size say l_count = strlen( v_string ).
    can anyone help me to define the character variable say of length l_count.
    I have already tried creating a dynamic character variable using CREATE DATA.
    eg   DATA: dref TYPE REF TO DATA.
      CREATE DATA dref TYPE c LENGTH l_count.
    but this is not working.
    Any response will be helpful.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sumukh Kapoor.

    Hi Marcin,
    Thanks for your response,
    Reason i need character variable of dynamic length is because the requirement is to send data to client's Windows terminal . We already have FTP code in place and suddenly client has asked to send us data of an internal table in a single line.
    I have concatenated the entire table into a string and then thought of moving the entire data from string to that character.. as the size in character goes beyond 60000 characters in many cases....
    It seems this is not possible as the string cannot be converted to the data type of variable newly declared.
    anyways your input was of great help.
    Thanks  & Regards,
    Sumukh Kapoor.

  • Deferred Tasks - Passing Variables into Workflow

    Hi everyone
    I am experiencing difficulties with deferred tasks in IDM 8.1. I have managed to create a deferred task on a user, with the task name being ‘Generate Email’. I also passed in an attribute ‘id’, and these can be seen in the user view under waveset.properties.tasks.
      <Activity id='1' name='Add Deferred Task'>
                    <Action id='1' application='com.waveset.session.WorkflowServices'>
                        <Argument name='op' value='addDeferredTask'/>
                        <Argument name='type' value='User'/>

                    </Action>
                </Activity>I have set up a scheduler that correctly scans all the user objects for this workflow name, and the ‘Generate Email’ workflow is periodically run.
    The problem is when it gets to the Generate Email workflow, all the variables that were set when the deferred task was created are gone. Both <ref>id</ref> and <Variable name=’id’ input=’true’/> return null.
    Setting the following in the TaskSchedule object did not help, as the string value $(id) is passed into the workflow instead of the id itself. I cannot debug the TaskSchedule as the Netbeans IDE does not allow me to put in breakpoints on this file.
    <Variables>
        <Object>
          <Attribute name='id' value='$(id)'/>
        </Object>
      </Variables>My question is, how do I pass variables into a workflow via a deferred task?

    Hi,
    Here is an example that I found that may assist.

           <Argument name='op' value='addDeferredTask'/>
           <Argument name='name' value='$(user)'/>

           <Argument name='description' value='$(taskDescription)'/>
           <Argument name='taskDefinition'>

                  <Attribute name='Arg2' value='value2'/>
                  <Attribute name='Arg3' value='value3'/>
              </Object>
           </Argument>
         </Action>
         <Transition to='end'/>

  • Pass Variables into AS3 through Query String?

    Man! I've been searching ferociously and can't seem to find a solution that works for me. I am trying to pass variables via query string on a PHP page to Flash, and then have the swf add movie clips to the stage depending on the information it receives.
    Here is what the PHP outputs:
    swfobject.embedSWF("flash/detailScore.swf?a=0-0&b=0-0&c=30-54&d=30-20&e=42-18", ...
    And here is my AS3 code:
    function loaderInfoSh(e:Event):void{
    var myQueryStrings=this.loaderInfo.parameters;
    a = myQueryStrings.a;
    b = myQueryStrings.b;
      c = myQueryStrings.c;
    d = myQueryStrings.d;
    e = myQueryStrings.e;
    addTheResults(a,1);
    addTheResults(b,2);
    addTheResults(c,3);
    addTheResults(d,4);
    addTheResults(e,5);
    this.loaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, loaderInfoSh);
    The addTheResults function takes the coordinates, adds a MC instance to the stage and positions it accordingly.
    var colorMCArray:Array = new Array();
    function addTheResults(val,colnum:Number){
    if(val == null){val = "52-46";} // so I can test it locally
    var daColor:String;
    switch (colnum){
    case 1:
    daColor = "f3951c";
    break;
    case 2:
    daColor = "74b47d";
    break;
    case 3:
    daColor = "436494";
    break;
    case 4:
    daColor = "9b74ac";
    break;
    case 5:
    daColor = "b43d44";
    break;
    var dash:int = val.indexOf("-");
    var lateral = val.slice(0,dash);
    var vertical = val.slice(dash+1);
    lateral --;
    vertical --;
    // adding the MC instance
    var comm:tileB = new tileB();
    comm.name = "comm"+colnum;
    addChild(comm);
    colorMCArray[colnum] = comm;
    //Change the color
    var colorTransform:ColorTransform = colorMCArray[colnum].transform.colorTransform;
    var thiscolor = "0x"+daColor;
    colorTransform.color = thiscolor;
    colorMCArray[colnum].transform.colorTransform = colorTransform;
    colorMCArray[colnum].x = 5;
    colorMCArray[colnum].y = 536;
    colorMCArray[colnum].x += (lateral * 9);
    colorMCArray[colnum].y += (vertical * 9)*-1;
    colorMCArray[colnum].addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, btnro);
    colorMCArray[colnum].addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OUT, btnrout);
    I don't know what I'm doing wrong here.

    Was this the "e" in the code below you were pertaining to as the culprit? "e" is not a keyword. It's just the shortcut for the word "event" for the variable name of type Event which is the Event object that triggered the call of function loaderInfoSh. In your code you assigned e = myQueryString.e which should have given you a type mismatch error.
    function loaderInfoSh(e:Event):void{
    var myQueryStrings=this.loaderInfo.parameters;
    a = myQueryStrings.a;
    b = myQueryStrings.b;
      c = myQueryStrings.c;
    d = myQueryStrings.d;
    e = myQueryStrings.e;
    addTheResults(a,1);
    addTheResults(b,2);
    addTheResults(c,3);
    addTheResults(d,4);
    addTheResults(e,5);
    this.loaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, loaderInfoSh);

  • Passing variables with page redirect

    I have a cfform. After it is filled out and submitted, the
    action page generates a random reference_no and puts the data into
    a database. I then do a cflocation url and pass the reference_no to
    another page. This page takes the reference_no and does a cfquery
    again to get all the information just entered and displays it on
    the form. A javascript popup/alert message then tells the user the
    form was submitted with the reference_no and to print the form. I
    was advised to do it this way so that the form cannot be
    resubmitted again. Everything works fine the way I have it.
    Now here is what I would like to do. After the form is
    displayed with the popup, I would like to pause 3-5 seconds and
    then redirect that page to another page that is identical (minus
    the javascript popup message) with the cfdoucment tag because I
    want them to print the form in pdf format. The problem I am having
    is when I do another cflocation url at the end of the display page
    and pass the referendce_no, to go to the pdf page, it works but it
    never stops at the display page to display the javascript popup
    message. So I tried to use the meta tag refresh rediredct set at 3
    seconds and pass the reference_no. The display page with the
    javascript message works then the page is redirected but the
    reference_no is never passed and the pdf form comes up but without
    anything to display. I guess you cannot pass variables in a meta
    tag since that is not cf ?
    How can I go from the page with the javascript popup to the
    page with cfdocuement pdf format ?
    Thanks

    You would have to craft the url of the popup page to pass the
    reference_no. I'm going to assume that you're using the "Post"
    method on your form, which means you have to pass the reference_no
    form value as a url/GET value.
    <cflocation
    url="somesite.com/popup.cfm?reference_no="#form.reference_no#">
    and then on the popup.cfm page, consume the url.reference_no
    again as part of the url in the meta refresh
    <cfoutput>
    <meta http-equiv="refresh"
    content="10;url=http://somesite..com/pdfDisplay.cfm?reference_no=#url.reference_no#"
    />
    </cfoutput>
    If you're just trying to prevent double submission, you could
    just lock the
    form from double submission clientside. In the method below,
    it actually hides the form. There are other options such as
    displaying an inline IFRAME which would simulate a popup and would
    remain until the page was refreshed from the form submission. I
    would also consider this old school. You might want to check out
    other options as far as Web 2.0 using AJAX and frameworks such as
    JQuery.
    <script language="javascript">
    function formSubmit(){
    if (document.myForm.isSubmitted.value != "no"){
    return false;
    }else{
    document.myForm.isSubmitted.value = "yes";
    document.getElementById('submitdiv').style.display =
    "block";
    document.getElementById('formdiv').style.display = "none";
    document.myForm.submit();
    </script>
    <div id="submitdiv" style="display:none">
    Your Form has been submitted.
    </div>
    <div id="formdiv" style="display:block">
    <form method="post" name="myForm" id="myForm"
    action="HandleSubmission.cfm">
    <input type="text" name="isSubmitted" value="no">
    <input type="button" name="manSubmit" value="submit"
    onclick="formSubmit();">
    </form>
    </div>

  • Jquery and serialize / passing variables

    I already put this question on the jquery forum but noone responded. My question is about jquery.
    I have this image gallery, people can drop and drag pictures, the idea is they can determine theirselves the order in which images are shown on their website.
    I have the sortable part, but I don't know how to pass the new order to the next page that should contain a query that updates the ordernumber for each item.
    My code:
    <!--- load the necessary scripts --->
         <script src="scripts/jquery-1.6.2.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
        <script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.8.16/jquery-ui.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
        <script src="http://jquery-ui.googlecode.com/svn/tags/latest/external/jquery.bgiframe-2.1.2.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
        <script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.8.16/i18n/jquery-ui-i18n.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    ,!--- the actual sortable image gallery --->
    <ul id="ulsortable">
        <cfoutput query="items">
            <li id="ID_#T_items_autoID#">
                <CFIF #T_items_img1# IS NOT 0>
                    <img src="../#session.foldername#/galleries/#T_items_itemid#_thumbsitemanager.#T_items_img1#" alt="Click here to update" border="0" width="125" height="125">
                    <CFELSE>
                        <img src="layoutimg/no_picture_available.jpg" alt="" width="125" height="125" border="0">
                    </CFIF><br>
                    <CFIF #T_items_title# IS NOT "">#left("#T_items_title#","15")#</CFIF>
            </li>
        </cfoutput>
    </ul>
      <script>
        $(function() {
            $( "#ulsortable" ).sortable();
            $( "#ulsortable" ).disableSelection();
            $('#frm-sort').submit(function(){
                var sort_serialized = $("#ulsortable").sortable("serialize");
        </script>
    <form action="#request.site.webroot#/actions/act_writeneworder.cfm" method="post" id="frm-sort">
      <input type="submit" name="save" id="save" value="save" />
      <input type="hidden" name="sort_serialized" id="sort_serialized" value="" />
    </form>
    When I use this and go to the next page thrugh submit button I get the error that sort_seriallized is an empty string. i must be doing something wrong. It has been 3 days i am on it:-)

    If anyone is interested, here is the working code.
    Make sure to include the right jslibraries
    Make your stylesheet so you have an unordered list that looks like an image gallery:
    <style>
             ul
                width                : 715px;
                list-style-type    : none;
                margin              : 0;
                padding             : 0;
            /* float & allow room for the widest item */
              ul li
                float                 : left;
                width                : 136px;
                height              : 165px;
                margin              : 2px;
                text-align          : center;
                border              : 1px solid gray;
               /* stop the float */
              br
                clear            : left;
              /* separate the list from subsequent markup */
              div.wrapper
                margin-bottom    : 1em;
        </style>
    Then the jquery script:
    <script type="text/javascript">
            $(document).ready(function(){
    // sortable makes the ul drag and drop
                $("#ulsortable").sortable();
    // create variable that will be submitted with form
                    $("#frm_sort").submit(function(){
                        var order = $('#ulsortable').sortable("serialize");
                        $('#order').val(order);
        </script>
    Ouput the listitems:
    <ul id="ulsortable">
        <cfoutput query="items">
            <li id="myprimarykey_#T_items_autoID#">
                     <img src="../#session.foldername#/galleries/#T_items_itemid#_thumbsitemanager.#T_items_img1#" alt="Click here to update" border="0" width="125" height="125">
                    <br/>
                   <CFIF #T_items_title# IS NOT "">#left("#T_items_title#","15")#</CFIF>
            </li>
        </cfoutput>
    </ul>
    Finally the form with submit button and hidden field that passes variable:
    <form action="actions/act_writeneworder.cfm" method="post" id="frm_sort">
          <input type="hidden" name="order" id="order" value="" />
          <input type="submit" name="save" id="save" value="Save new order" />
    </form>
    The page that handles the serialize and database update:
    <!--- convert the serialized string to a comma delimited list --->
        <cfset idlist = ReReplaceNoCase( form.order, "(&)?myprimarykey\[\]=", ",", "all" )>
        <cfset position = 0>
        <cfset pk = 0>
    <cfloop list="#idlist#" index="pk">
          <cfset position++>
        <cfquery name="writeneworder" datasource="#request.dba#">
            UPDATE T_items
                SET T_items_order = <cfqueryparam value="#position#" cfsqltype="CF_SQL_INTEGER">
                 WHERE T_items_autoID = <cfqueryparam value="#pk#" cfsqltype="CF_SQL_INTEGER">
        </cfquery>
    </cfloop>
    <cflocation url="#request.site.webroot#/item_choose_cat.cfm?currentopic=changeorder" addtoken="no" />
    As I couldn't find anywhere a full working exemple I decided to post this code, hope it helps you.

  • Passing variables from AS3 to PHP

    Hi there
    I am having some trouble in passing variables from AS3 to PHP. I am using flash and php both in the same file [try.php].
    I've stuck with this for two days.. Here's what I have done. Please help!!!

    var variables:URLVariables = new URLVariables();
    send_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, sendForm);
    function sendForm(evt:MouseEvent):void

    BIG THANKS!!

    the problem is nothing your showed.   did you see a security warning that you ignored?
    to test, if that's the problem go here and adjust your security settings:  http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04a.ht ml
    if that fails, upload your files to a server and confirm everything works.  then start working on your local configuration.

  • Passing Record type parameter from one session to other session

    Hi,
    I have a package.procedure, in that I am calling custom workflow, inside this workflow again I am calling
    same package.procedure (Its an recursive call)
    I need to pass record type parameter in this package.procedure.
    I tried with global variables but Workflow starts its new session so it losses all variables.
    Now I am going with creation of Custom table.
    Please advice, is there any way other than creation of Custom table.
    I mean can we pass Record type parameter from one session to other session without creating table.
    Regards
    Rohit

  • Still having trouble passing variables

    So, I read some on the MVC as my problem in my previous post
    was trying to pass variables between classes in the same package.
    I've got three classes, ListLoader, SectionPanel and TagWidget...
    MVC respectively. Or at least I think I've set them up that way.
    ListLoader is responsible for querying the db via PHP when
    TagWidget asks it to and then supplies a string variable. I'm
    trying to get TagWidget to pass that variable to the
    viewer/SectionPanel to display in a textfield but can't seem to get
    ListLoader to reflect that. Now, the problem is in how I've
    formatted ListLoader, I believe so I'll only show that class and
    just know that TagWidget is calling the variable using
    "trace(loadFTPList.fulllist);" where loadFTPList is the instance
    name of ListLoader. What am I doing wrong?
    Here is my class in question:

    You want to dispatch the event after fulllist is ready.
    If you do this:
    this.dispatchEvent(event.clone());
    fulllist = record;
    the event is dispatch before fulllist can be properly read,
    so your listener
    (whatever that may be) will find and empty/null/undefined
    list.
    but if you do this:
    fulllist = record;
    this.dispatchEvent(event.clone());
    then in your listener
    myListLoader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, myListHandler);
    function myListHandler(evt:Event){
    if(evt.type == Event.COMPLETE)
    // the list is ready
    trace(ListLoader(event.target).fulllist);
