Pasting images

From what I have read there is no support for pasting anything else than text from the system clipboard to a Java application, however in my case I need to get hold of an image in the system clipboard.
The application will only need to run on Windows.
Are there any workarounds or pre-made native libraries that will be able to help me? I am not into C or native Windows programming myself...
Thanks! :)

  • Jabber for Mac - End User unable to Cut & Paste Images in IM

Full discloure: I am an END USER, not an IT admin or anything like that. Not sure if this is the proper forum to ask this question but figured it was worth a shot...
Running OSX 10.9.1 and Jabber 9.2.1.
I am unable to copy-and-paste images into IM conversations with co-workers.
    My "cachedPresenceConfigStore.xml" file shows:
    "<im_cutandpaste_enabled>TRUE</im_cutandpaste_enabled>"
    and
    "<screen_capture_enabled>TRUE</screen_capture_enabled>"
...yet these functions seem to be missing from the IM client. As far as I know our organization's service-side policy allows for sending images over IM (confirmed this using the jabber client on a windows machine).
Am I just "doing it wrong" somehow? Is there some special method I need to use to be able to paste images into an IM conversation?
Any help or direction is appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Jason

It appears they disabled it server-side as the button (a paperclip) normaly appears to the right of the emoticon button. While the jabber-config.xml file can block specific file extensions, it cannot disable the feature entirely. This is done within the Service Parameters of the server, which only an admin can see.
ProcedureStep 1 Choose Cisco Unified CM IM and Presence Administration > System > Service Parameters.Step 2 From the Server menu, choose an IM and Presence node .Step 3 In the Service Parameter Configuration window, choose Cisco XCP Router as the service.Step 4 From the Enable file transfer drop-down list, click On or Off.Step 5 Click Save.Step 6 Restart the Cisco XCP Router Service on every node in the cluster. For more information, see Restart CiscoXCP Router service, on page 43.

I had no problems printing PDF pages with pated into them images in Acrobat 8. Now in version 9 I can still paste the image into the document, save doc and see it on the screen with no problem - but when printing the pasted image is gone. Any clues?

Found that I must select "Document and stamps" in Print dialog box to have stamps and pasted images printed.

  • Copy and paste images on iPad air 2

Can i copy and paste images from safari onto documents that i access through my iPad air? I use this device in university and i found that when i tried to copy an image into a docs app document, the only thing i could paste was the image url. Does anyone know how to copy the image and not the image url?

Hold your finger on the image and select save image instead of copy. Then add the image from photos. The photo below was saved from eBay. If that doesn't work you have to tap the image and move the brackets until the image is blue then tap copy.

  • Unable to copy and paste images in latest "Pages"

I use to be able to copy and paste images in my old pages by ctrl + click and choose "copy" and then reverse the process by ctrl + click and choose to paste it.
But now since I updated to the latest pages I am unable to execute this function.
My computer has OS X 10.9.1 and Pages 5.0.1.
Is there any way I could get this working by the above mentioned method.
    Regards

It is not ctrl. Unless you are talking about right clicking and using the contextual menu.
It is command c (copy) command v (paste).
There are a number missing features in the contextual menu in Page 5.
Apple has removed over 90 features from Pages 5.

Pages '09 should still be in your Applications/iWork folder.
Archive/trash Pages 5 and rate/review it in the App Store, then get back to work.

  • Copy and paste image from IE to Illustrator

    Dear Illustrator users,
I need to copy and paste images from IE10 or IE11 (Internet Explorer) to Illustrator (CS6, CC).
I right-click image, choose "copy" in Internet Explorer
now I can paste it to mspaint, word, photoshop, etc. It works fine..
but when I try to paste image to Illustrator, it pastes url link instead of image.
I know this problem comes with IE10. When I downgrade to IE9, it start to work fine.
    Any suggestion?
    Kind Regards,
    Jarda

    Hi Jacob,
Thank you for a quick answer. Your suggestion is correct, but saving image to a file is an additional step.
Since I do this task "thousands a day", this is unacceptable
    Any other suggestion?

  • Drag/drop or copy/paste images out of LR into other apps?

    Hi-
First time posting here, I've been an Aperture user the last few years and am now exploring and enjoying Lightroom. One thing I can do in Aperture is to drag and drop or copy/paste images directly from it into other apps. For example, I'll take images from Aperture and put them into Powerpoint (so this is not involving Apple's Media Browser, as in Keynote). When I do this, the generated preview of the image (not the actual RAW file) is inserted into the other app.
Is this possible in LR? I have not seen a way to do it, and couldn't find anything about it on the forum. Or do I have to manually export each image before I can use in another app?
    Thanks, Adam

Ah, I've figured it out now you've confirmed it can be done. It looks like I have to be in grid mode in the Library, then I can drag and drop just fine, including RAW files (obviously converted to jpeg). In Aperture I could drag and drop in either full-view or thumbnail, and I was previously trying it from loupe or Develop view in LR.
Regarding Keynote vs PPT, yes I often prefer working in Keynote, but my clients mostly work in PPT, and there are still too many conversion glitches. Besides, I can pretty much make a PPT look like a Keynote, or vice versa , for example this one...

  • Copy/Paste images into Contribute CS3

We have been copying and pasting images from Word Documents
in Office 2003 into Contribute CS3 at my organization when
developing content. We have been able to copy/paste images from
Office 2003 and other programs like Paintshop Pro and SnagIt.
Since upgrade to Microsoft Office 2007 all image copying and
    pasting has stopped working.
Is there a known issue with this?
Does anyone else have Office 2007 installed and is able to
copy/paste images from a Word Document into a page in Contribute
    CS3?

It appears that the problem only occurs if you are copy and
pasting from something that hasn't been saved yet.
In Word I inserted an image from my hard drive and tried to
copy/paste it into Contribute and that failed. I then saved the
Word Document to my hard drive, re-opened it and was able to
    copy/paste fine.
Power Point, Snagit and Pain Shop Pro appear to have the
problem even if it's been saved first.
I was able to copy/paste an image from a Word Doc and
PowerPoint into MSPaint just fine. I was also able to copy/paste
between Office applications with out any problem. Snagit could
copy/paste into Office just fine and MSPaint.
This problem appears to be specific to Contribute CS3 but
    only from certain sources.

  • Paste Images Problem

    Hi all,
I'm having a problem pasting images from an external application to my java app. The external app uses the Windows clipboard to copy these proprietary images into a format that is not documented, but as I understand it, Windows uses BMP by default.
The problem is that when the clipboard contents are pasted into my application, the images are offset. Now, if I paste the clipboard contents into another application(Paint.net, Photoshop), this problem does not occur. If I save the pasted image from Photoshop to an 8 bit indexed BMP, reload that image, copy and paste, the problem occurs. If I save it from Photoshop to an 8 bit RGB BMP, reload the image, copy and paste, the problem disapears(no offset). If you don't have Photoshop, the problem can be replicated in the native Windows Paint program.
I've included a small program that demonstrates the problem, as well as two images. The correct.bmp image works fine, incorrect.bmp shows the problem. The are both quite large(1 ~ 5 mb).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    };

I observe the problem, if I copy the images from the windows Paint instead of Chrome.
No, but they will be copying though the proprietary program they are using. It's the only way to get the proprietary images 'converted', so to speak. Can't your 'proprietary program' save the converted images to disk. If that is possible then you can set the icon of the label using the url of the saved image. I have just observed that if you set icon using file path of any of the 'correct.bmp' or 'incorrect.bmp', it displays it fine. However, as already said there is some problem with the copying using clipboard.
    Thanks!

  • Fireworks wont paste image at 0,0

    Hi,
I always thought this was a bug in FW CS3 and have lived with it for a long time.
However, FW CS5 does exactly the same thing, so either it's a bug or there's some method in the madness that I'm unaware of.
On a windows XP PC, I press "Print Screen" to grab a screen shot that I want to crop, add notes to and email to someone.
In FW I do File > New and the screen resolution is automatically recognised so I press OK
Hit CTRL-V and the screen grab is pasted into FW - great !
However, it always pastes the image at X-183 Y-158 and I have to go and edit  the X and Y properties every time.
Why does it do this ? I can't see any reasonable explanation for a new file and newly pasted image to be offset (fair enough - offset subsequently pasted images)
Thanks and hope someone can shed some light on this annoyance

The New Document From Clipboard command in my Document Commands extension may be useful for this: http://johndunning.com/fireworks/about/DocCommands
It creates a new document, pastes the clipboard contents, positions it at 0,0, and resizes the document to fit, all in one step.
