Pbolem while altering a table

Hi All,
when i run this script i get an error because of BEFUPD trigger on this table
alter table gt_contract add (gf_isAtype char(1) default 'N' constraint GC_contAtype check (gf_isAtype in ('Y','N')))
i am running the same script for some other table also by ust changin the table and constraint name and it's working fine. Both tables have BEFUPD trigger and works FOR EACH ROW
the error msg is
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-20001: Error :Assigning new values to New RecordORA-06508: PL/SQL: could
not find program unit being called
ORA-06512: at "CIQDE3.ST_CONTRACT_BEFUPD", line 345
ORA-04088: error during execution of trigger 'CIQDE3.ST_CONTRACT_BEFUPD'
Plz suggest

DEFAULT 'N' clause causes execution of BEFORE UPDATE trigger.
ORA-20001 is the user-defined exception probably raised in
the exception section of your trigger code using raise_application_error procedure.
You should analyze the trigger code and find the place the error occures.
Try to comment your exception section in the trigger to find where error is
raised.

i have a table with primary key. i realize that the primary is not required and when i get rid of primary key thru Oracle Portal and say OK ... i am encountered with the following error -

Tables with function-based indexesSince this is an IOT, any chance there is an IOT mapping table?
Since this appears to be a data warehouse, any chance there are ROWID based materialized views or function-based indexes?

00600 errors should be raised as service request with Oracle as it implies some internal bug.
You can search oracle support first to see if anyone has had the same class of 00600 error, and then if not (and therefore no patch) raise your issue with Oracle.

The above code executes well with no problem at all!
As you can see the file to which i create and save and open my pdf report is
AssignedDialyzer.pdf.
The column headers of table in pdf report from c# windows forms using iTextSharp are
"Reprocessing Date","Patient Name","Dialyzer(Manufacturer,Size)","No.of Reuse","Verification" and
"DialyzerID".
However the problem i am facing is after execution and opening of document is my
column headers in table in pdf report from
c# and datas in it all appear in bold.
I have browsed through net regarding to solve this problem but with no success.
What i want is my pdf report from c# should be similar to following format which i was able to accomplish in vb6,adodb with MS access using iTextSharp.:

If so Then Can anyone tell me what modifications must i do in my c# code given above so that my pdf report from c# windows forms using iTextSharp will look similar to image/picture(pdf report) which i was able to accomplish from

I hope anyone/someone truly understands what i am trying to ask!

While performing some unspecified action (no DML) on an unknown table (no DDL) in an unknown version and edition of the Oracle database you had an untrapped Oracle exceptions.
There are too many unknowns to help you beyond recommending you open an SR at MyOracleSupport.

Error While Activating the Table

i have created a table name ZEMPLOY11 in ABAP Dictionary containing fields Client [NUM] Carieer [NUM] Firstname [CHAR] and Surname [CHAR] and save it . when i activated this table it shows and error Mesage "Errors occurred during activation". kindly help me out

Hi Ammad,
Could you please paste the error what you are getting so that we can help you in a bettre way, I think most probably you haven't assign a key variable while creating the table, so in the screen where you have mentioned the fiels Client NUM Carieer NUM Firstname CHAR and Surname CHAR ,mark client and carrioer as key fields, then try to activate it after setting the technical setting of the table.
Hope now you will able to activate your tables.

Hi i tried to create external table. The table is created but while selecting that table it is throwing below errors

In the temp directory i've a text file countries1.txt
the text file has the below information

You are missing something. Most probably the file does not exists in your specified path. This is working in my 10.2.0.3

I was trying to load an AS400 table using a flat file as source. The table and flat file has a single field only. I'm getting the error "<SQLExecute>: <[IBM][System i Access ODBC Driver]Error in assignment.>"

Ora-00604,ora-01422 error while dropping the table

Hi gurus,
I am using Oracle 10g R2 on windows 2000 platform,while dropping the table the following error occured.
ORA-00604 : error occurred at recursive sql level 1.
ORA-01422: exact fetch returns more than requested number of rows.
Need urgent help.

Is there an AFTER EVENT trigger defined on this database? Can you check that?
Secondly, was this database migrated from earlier version? I remember having seen this problem on 9i (it was 9.2.0.1 or 9.2.0.2; I can't recall exactly).

Getting error while creating a table

I have created a user 'ram' and gave "create table" permissions for that user.
After that, when I tried to create a table using the command
create table countries as select * from hr.countries;
where hr is another user and countries is the name of table in that schemagetting error message

Problem while dropping a table

Dear All,
I am facing a problem while dropping a table in Oracle 10g.
I am able to find the number of records in the table but unble to delete it.
SQL> select count(*) from merchant_audit;
COUNT(*)

SQL> drop table merchant_audit;
drop table merchant_audit
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
I have to drop this table from the database. Please help.

Read this example :

SQL> conn merchant/merchant

See owner into the dba_tables, and if synonym into dba_synonyms.

Error while passing a table to a function module

Hi Iam passing a table g_tab of length 376 flat structure to the function module..under TABLES section parameter.
Changedocument_read_headers.
iam getting a complile time error like the below displayed thing. Can u tell me how to solve this ?
In the function module interface, you can specify only
fields of a specific type and length under "I_CDHDR".
Although the currently specified field
"G_CDHDR_TAB" is the correct type, its length is incorrect.

probably u making a mistake while declaring the table
declare it like this in the tables section:
S_JOB LIKE RNGE_OBJID
where s_job is the internal table name and RANGE_OBJID is a structure type and NOT an internal table type.
