PDA example: Reading a jpeg file into a picture control

Hi
Does anybody have a simple PDA example of how to read a .jpg file and show it in a picture control. The jpg examples I've found does not compile for PDA.

The hard way would be to write your own JPEG -> Bitmap / Array
de-compression routine. You will probably find example (C++) code at
the JPEG web site.

  • How to drag a file into a picture control in a runing VI?

When the VI is runing, LabVIEW allows users to drag a file from windows explorer to the File path control to get the path. But how could I drag a file into a picture control to get some event?
Since the Picture control will also used to reponse to some other events so put the a transparent file path control on top of it may be the last idea in my mind...
    Is there any other options??
    Thanks guys!

In Dreamweaver CS4, whenever I try to drag a newly updated version of a swf file into a certain directory / folder in the Files panel of the Dreamweaver interface, the file simply gets placed under my website's root instead.
You are dragging the file from OUTSIDE of DW (using Explorer/Finder) and dropping it within DW's FILES panel (I didn't think you could do that!)?  Or you are dragging it from within the FILES panel, but from outside your site (by choosing "Local Disk" from the drop list)?  I think what you are seeing is the best you will get with that procedure.  Try going to "Local Disk" and copy the file, then return to your site and paste it where you want it.

  • Can I merge 3 jpeg files into one PDF on one page?

Can I merge 3 jpeg files into one PDF on one page? For example: scanned newspaper article was too big for one scan process, I had to scan article 3 times. Can I merge these 3 jpegs and position them like columns?

Do you have Acrobat? If so, you can use the Add Image tool to place your images on the page where you want them to be. Alternatively, you can combine all 3 to a single PDF and then send that PDF to the PDF Printer, selecting the Multiple option to get them to appear on a single page of the new file.

  • Hi, dragging jpeg files into i-movie - the selection of jpegs is repeating certain photos and not featuring others, making the entire sequence impossible to view. PLEASE HELP!

Hi, I have been dragging jpeg files into i-movie all week without issue. Now all of a sudden, the selection of jpegs I'm dragging is repeating certain photos and not featuring others, making the entire sequence impossible to view.
Please help, this is urgent for a funeral tomorrow! It didnt happen with any of the other family tributes, they all worked fine.
    Many thanks,
    Ruth

It worked! Thank you! I finally just finished about 20 minutes ago! It took over 26 hours to complete the process you described, but I stuck with it and it worked. I am glad I didn't give up or "forget it" as some might have suggested. That would have set me back until tomorrow!
Ultimately, it turned out there were 45,910 jpgs created. No wonder it took so many hours to render/display them all. It ended up being about 10 hours before it seemed they were all rendered but the process between them displaying and being able to start really deleting them took a few hours because partly I was asleep and also partly it took forever to do anything. Any action as simple as selecting and right-clicking to Get Info, or emptying the trash, would take 20-30 minutes, a couple times longer. The clock stopped many times for 20-30 minutes at a time, a few times over 30 minutes, before catching back up. My cursor never froze which is what really kept me going, although it was a spinning beach ball for most of the time. I was never so relieved to see my regular cursor as opposed to seeing a spinning beach ball as I was early this morning after about 10 hours!
Once I was able to open a Finder window and select all 45,900 files (I had already deleted 10 in the previous couple hours during experimenting of trying to figure out what would work best), then right-click and select to move all the files to the trash, the process of moving them to the trash took 4.5 hours. Then deleting them from the trash took a couple minutes. There were 21.4 GB!!! No wonder the whole process took 26 hours!
    mende1, thank you so much!

  • Read an XML file into an ABAP program and manipulate it.

I would like to know if it is possible to do the following in an ABAP program:
    1) Read an XML file into an ABAP internal table
    2) Call an XSLT transformation on the source file and store the results in an ABAP table.
Is this possible to do? I have used ABAP XSLT in PI, but never in an ABAP program. I see you can use the CALL TRANSFORMATION command, but I have never used it in an ABAP program.

How to convert jpeg files into Word

    Hi Eugene,
I don't think you can convert an image to a Word document, but you could place the JPEG into a Word document using the Insert > Object command in Word.
For other questions relating to Word, you will probably have more luck getting an answer if you post on the Microsoft forums (we can help if you're using Acrobat, or another Adobe product, but you'll find the Word experts on the Microsoft forums.)

  • How can I change a Microsoft Word document file into a picture file?

How can I change a Microsoft Word document file into a picture or jpeg file? I am wanting to make the image I created my background on my macbook pro.

After I had the document image the way I wanted it, I saved it as a web page and went from there. Below are the steps starting after I did the "save as" option in Word:
    1) Select "Save As Web Page". I changed the location from documents to pictures when the window came up to save it as a web page.
    2) Go to "Finder" on you main screen, or if it's on your main toolbar at the bottom.
    3) Click on the "Pictures" tab and find the file you just re-saved as a web page. (I included "web page" or something similar in the new title so I could easily find the correct file I was looking for)
    4) Open the correct file and then "right click" on the actual image. (Use 2 fingers to do so on a Mac)
    5) Select 'Use Image As Desktop Picture", and voilà! The personally created image, or whatever it is that you wanted, is now your background.
**One problem I encountered while doing this is that the image would show up like it was right-aligned in relation to the whole screen. The only way I could figure how to fix this was to go back to the very original document in Word, (the one before it was saved as a web page), and move everything over to the left.
I hope this helps someone else who was as frustrated as I was with something that I thought would have been very simple to do! If you have any tips or suggestions of your own, please feel free to share. : )
