I need to generate a PDF file using Adobe Document Service. The content of the PDF can be from any datasource (Oracle/ BW/ R3 ), So I require Webdynpro code for pdf creation with data from any of the system

you can create the same...
but normal practice what we do is create swc for each system so that it is easy to maintain and easy to extend in the future..
or else follow some conventions if you are just starting the things..

Prepopulating PDF forms with data from XML file

How can I get a PDF form to open pre-populated with data from an XML file automatically? I've been using Adobe LifeCycle Designer 8.0 and there doesn't seem to be a way to do it. The closest I came was to use the ImportData method, but that only lets you specify a data file if the form is signed (certified), which these aren't and don't need to be because we're using them on an internal company web page. ImportData works if there is no file name, but then the user has to navigate to and select the correct file, which we can't rely on our users to do.
I've researched this problem for days on this and other websites and haven't found an answer (one Adobe advisor suggested purchasing LifeCycle Forms, which is not an option because it's a $10,000 software package and the company wouldn't authorize a purchase that steep). We will buy a less-expensive option if there is one. We'll even hire a consultant if we can find one to who can design a supportable solution. All suggestions will be much appreciated.

The easiest way is:
- Open your PDF form within Acrobat
- From the File menu, import the XML form data into the form
- From the File menu, use Save As... to save the file with a new name.
The new PDF will be identical to the original one, but will have the data embedded in it. Voila.
If you want the same form to pre-populate with different XML files depending on the circumstances, or if you're generating the XML on the fly, then things get more complicated. (And more expensive.) As your consultant said, LiveCycle Forms is one option, but it is expensive (actually even more than 10K). There are other options, including Cold Fusion, custom servlets, etc.

How to fill the table UD_SAPHR with data from SAP HR Connector

Hi, I`ve searched all the forrum but didn`t find how to map fields from connector form to the any field in OIM. I tryied with entity adapters but failed to reach any result. The problem is that I even cant put incoming data with connector to the table of the connector form (UD_SAPHR).
I will be grateful for any help. Below is the cut of the log. In few words - how to map, for example, field "Department=40000260" to the field in the USR table or UD_SAPHR table (or any other - to have this information in OIM).

That is my problem. I get only those fields, that are in the xellerate user standard form. And I need also fields "Department" and "City".
This information connector gets from SAP (as it is seen in log) but doesn`t save it anywhere inside the OIM, though such fields exists in the UD_SAPHR table (and correspondend form) but this table remains empty after reconciliation.

Method for Downloading Huge Data from SAP system

Hi All,
we need to download the huge data from one SAP system & then, need to migrate into another SAP system.
is there any better method, except downloading data through SE11/SE16 ? please advice.

I have already done several system mergers, and we usually do not have the need to download data.
SAP can talk to SAP. with RFC and by using ALE/IDOC communication.
so it is possible to send e.g. material master with BD10 per IDOC from system A to system B.
you can define that the IDOC is collected, which means it is saved to a file on the application server of the receiving system.
you then can use LSMW and read this file with several hundred thousand of IDOCs as source.
Field mapping is easy if you use IDOC method for import, because then you have a 1:1 field mapping.
So you need only to focus on the few fields where the values changes from old to new system..

How to populate Adobe LiveCycle Designer generated PDF Forms with data from Database in Windows app

I have a PDF template designed in Adobe LiveCycle Designer. This template has form fields which needs to be filled with data programmatically. I am using windows application in C#.Net 2005 in which I want to retrieve data from database and merge this data into PDF form in respective fields.
How this can be achieved?
I searched a lot & I found that we can process the XDP file generated from PDF to acheive this. I created the XDP file out of the PDF template created in designer. But I don't know how to merge data from database into that XDP file in respective fields and again convert this XDP file back to PDF programmatically. Can anybody help me ? This is urgent.

New JAVA application with data from SAP CRM and R/3

We have a requirement to create a new application which will have CRM BP Master data and D&B Data from R/3 and based on authorization different roles be able to edit some of the fields and workflows to confirm the new data .Once users edit the fields in the application the new data will be replicated back into BP Master Data in CRM.
In our company we are using CRM 7.0 and R/3 4.7 system if we decided to create the application using JAVA can you please let me know the architecture(servers etc) we might need because of the JAVA application.

You can connect to SAP Systems by consuming the RFCs.

Populate PDF template with data from another form

Hi all, it's been a while since I've been here. I'm not a LC pro by any stretch, but I've been working on a personal project which I hope will someday result in a small business. The idea is simple: a client fills out a custom form in Acrobat Reader which I've created in LC Designer. Upon completion, they email the pdf (or XDF, or XML, or E4X or whatever might be possible, I'm not even sure!) back to my website.
On my end... and this is hopefully automated... the data would be injected into a template PDF the client needs. This would then be sent back via email for them to print.
It's been over a year since I worked on this. Both the front end forms and the pdf templates are built, but the interaction between receiving the client data and populating the template form never got worked out.
Could anyone provide me with a clue as to what this workflow might look like?
Just to be clear, this application would be waaay too small to even think about going the Enterprise route. I'm "thinking" the automation part of it would be handled by some custom PHP coding, but that's another story.

Yes, I am wedded to the idea that I will only use Adobe PDF. The server component is a whole other story though. I understand the value of it, but as a small business, the idea of coughing up 60k is pretty much out of the question. Especially given that this form is a one of a kind, simple, time saver for my prospective clients.
From what I understand about LC, Acrobat and Reader, there are severe limitations imposed on saving form information in Reader. My clients need to be able to do that, as the form is quite extensive and needs to be revisited to be sure information is correct.
While any one user will probably not exceed the 500 submissions issue, hopefully there will be more than 500 users submitting 1 time!
We'll see if I can work around this issue.

ERROR- Unable to retrieve data from SAP systems

We have installed SAP Netweaver Gateway (NWGW) Tool plugin in mac os.
When we are trying to browse the services we are able to see only SDATA services in NWGW plugin.
So we have changed the service from ODATA to SDATA in gateway system. We are able to see the services in the NWGW plugin.
When we are trying to get the response in xcode by using the following code,

Pull the data from legacy System into report and display with SAP data

My requirement is-
Create report by processing data from SAP tables and prepare output.And Before displaying the output, I have to pull the data from non-sap system which is readymade (It will come as flat file with similar fields as Report structure has) and finally display the records from both SAP and Legacy System by filtering duplicates.

Steps:-

Work with data from a table of another SAP R/3 system

Hi,
I want to work with data from a table of another system. I know there's a function called 'RFC_READ_TABLE' but I don't know really how it works. What I want to do is to get data from that system and pass it to the one where I'm working in order I can continue working with this data in the report.
Besides, I'd like to select only the records that have some conditions.
I'd appreciate if someone could tell how to do it, whether with FM 'RFC_READ_TABLE' or in another way.

Yes, you can use RFC_read_table .You can pass the number of columns but I recommend you to bring all results in your internal table after that you can filter the records. Most of the time I have notice when you make RFC call with this FM to another system it works but it may also happen that other system controlling authorization and then it might give you nothing. As I face this problem on my last Project.
