Personalization with HTML Quoting Application

I need to see About this page link, presonalized regions and personalize Page links . I can see them in all the other applications but Oracle HTML Quoting Sales Agent.
All the three below have been set to yes: FND: Personalization Region Link Enabled , FND: Diagnostics, Personalize Self-Service Defn .
Did I miss something ?
Thanks

Is it an OAF page or a jsp page? Check the page url and it will be clear.

  • An HTML DB application over table with CDM RuleFrame

    Hi guys,
I have an Oracle Forms application we built using the CDM RuleFrame framework available with Headstart (an offering from Oracle Consulting). This framework allows us to validate all our business rules in the database using PL/SQL packages and DB triggers at commit time. When at least 1 rule is invalid, a generic exception is raised and all messages are available thru a call to a procedure that returns a PL/SQL table of records.
Now, we need to build a Web interface to that application and I need to know if we can reuse the same messaging framework we already have if we use HTML DB.
I don't know if it is relevant or not but Headstart does come with a mechanism to display those errors with the now defunct WebDB.
    What do you guys think?
    Thanks
P.S. Be gentle please as I have no experience (yet) with HTML DB

In this small example, you create a process and button which fires the process. Also, create an item called ERR_TXT. Make the process source:
    begin
    :foo := 1/0;
    exception when others then
    :ERR_TXT := sqlerrm;
    end;
When you run this page and click the button, you'll see that the item ERR_TXT contains the value:
ORA-01476: divisor is equal to zero
In your case, you'd be looking for a specific exception and you'd get the error messages out of the PL/SQL table rather than simply from SQLERRM.
Once you have the messages and assigned them to one or more HTML DB items you can print them out in separate region.

  • Display issue with HTML formatted text in report builder

I am using the FCKeditor in my application to allow endusers
the ability to create formated text on reports. We curently are
experiencing 2 issues: 1. If you copy and paste from MS Word
2003/2007 it will not display the text correclty in the report; 2.
If you use the FCKeditor toolbar to insert bullets or a numeric
list it will not align the text correctly on the report. We are
using Coldfusion 8 with Hotfix 1 and Coldfusion Report Builder's
    lastest build release.
Has one experiences this same issue with HTML fields not
printing correctly using the Report Builder? What other HTML
editors besides FCKeditor might we use?
    Thanks,
    Dan VanWieren

Can you tell me how to use </td> for each values
Give me your example report - using before or after report

  • Textarea with HTML editor is not working

    Hi all,
This is producing me a real headache.
I created the simplest application in the world with one Textarea with HTML editor, and the editor control does not show the usual tool bar for fonts, color, alignment, etc. Just a ordinary textarea.
Moreover, this was working before... I moved to another location in my work (me, not the server). Yes, I thought about the Internet Explorer, but Firefox has the same issue.
So any idea I can try to make this work?
I have another applications already in production with the same issue.
    Need help!!!!!!!!!
    Thanks in advance.

    Lukas,
I would go and integrate FCKEDITOR (http://www.fckeditor.net/ ) into your application.
Here are instructions on how to achieve this (sorry but only in German):
    http://www.oracle.com/global/de/community/tipps/einbinden_fckeditor/index.html
    It basically means:
    1) copying the files from fckeditor under the /images directory
(you can use the instructions here: http://daust.blogspot.com/2006/03/where-are-images-of-application.html)
    2) creating two shortcuts INCLUDE_EDITOR_SCRIPTS and EDITOR
    3) placing the shortcut INCLUDE_EDITOR_SCRIPTS into the page html header and
    4) placing the shortcut EDITOR into the post element text of your plain textarea element
    That's it.
BTW, FCKEDITOR has been included in Apex 3.0 as a standard item type.
    Regards,
    ~Dietmar.

  • Error with smart quotes replacements

Any application that uses TextEdit engine can cause text at ends of lines with smart quotes to be corrupted.
    Simple test.
Create a new TextEdit document, Set TextEdit's preferences to have Smart Quotes enabled. Type in some text such as
"I've found an error in the TextEdit runtime engine used by third-party applications."
The Apple support people responded, "really are you sure?"
    "Yes I am."
Now save the document and quit the application.
Reopen the document and add a fourth line.
"This should show you the problem."
Then go to the end of the third line and position the insertion point immediately before the closing quotes. Then type,
    Now what do you get?
    For me the answer is
"Yes I am. N"what do you get?
Notice where the closing quote has been placed. Wrong.

Hi, trying to help. when i installed Enterprise 6.5, there is Hyperion Retrieve bundled with it. So, you must connect through Hyperion Retrieve, which is an add-ins with Excel. I don't think Enterprise (any kind of version) is compatible with SmartView. The way Enterprise works is different with other Hyperion products. So, if you installed all components in Enterprise, better you check in documentation about how to activate Hyperion Retrieve.
    Hope it helps.

  • How to Use Mobile Service in HTML/JavaScript Application

The Windows Azure Mobile Service is a back end tool for mobile applications. It supports various platforms, such as Windows Store, Windows Phone 8, iOS and Android. The Windows Azure
Mobile service can also support HTML/JavaScript. This article helps you to get a basic idea of how to use the Windows Azure Mobile Service in HTML/JavaScript applications.
Let us start with a Quick startup project provided by Microsoft. A Quick startup is a simple demo project that can help us to understand how to use the Windows Azure Mobile Service with HTML/JavaScript. So let's start from the Quick startup project.
Login into in the Windows Azure portal and use the following procedure.
This article assumes you already have a Windows Azure account and the mobile service is enabled in your account.
    1. Create a new Windows Azure Mobile Service
Click on the +New button from the left corner and select Compute -> Mobile Service and then click on the "Create" button.
The Windows Azure portal popup creates a mobile service wizard when you click the Create button. Windows Azure asks you to enter the mobile service name as shown in the following image:
Select the database options and region for your mobile service and click on the "Next" button.
Once your mobile service is successfully created, the portal will show all your mobile services as shown in the following images.
Ok! We have created a new mobile service successfully. Let's move to our subsequent steps.
    1. Quick startup Project
As we all know, the Windows Azure Mobile Service can support many platforms such as Windows Store, Windows Phone 8, iOS, Android and HTML/JavaScript. This article only tells us about the new HTML/JavaScript platform that is recently added to the Windows Azure
    Mobile Service.
In the image above, we are in the quick startup page where the Windows Azure Mobile Service allows the user to choose their platform. I have selected the HTML/JavaScript Platform.
In the image above, we found 3 quick steps that can allow us to run <g class="gr_ gr_74 gr-alert gr_gramm Grammar" data-gr-id="74" id="74">a HTML/JavaScript</g> sample project.
    1. Create Table: In this step the user needs to create a table that can used by the sample project, once you hit the create TodoItem Table button. The Portal will create a TodoItem table in your mobile service. You
can check this table by clicking on the data tab(menu).
    2. Download and run your app: In this step the user needs to download the Quick startup project that is provided by the Windows Azure portal. Click on the "Download" button and download the project. You will
see the following files in the quick startup project.
The Server folder contains some files to setup this project locally. The user should run the file from the server folder corresponding to their OS. I am using Windows OS so I ran the <g class="gr_ gr_80 gr-alert gr_spell ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace"
    data-gr-id="80" id="80">lanch</g>-<g class="gr_ gr_79 gr-alert gr_spell ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" data-gr-id="79" id="79">windwos</g> file to setup this project locally in
    IISExpress.
Press r and enter the key, you will see IISExpress started. Do not close this Windows and open your browser and request the http://localhost:8000/ page.
Enter the Item name and click on the add button. Your Item will be added to the TodoItem table.
    3. Configure your host name: This step is a very important step for any HTML/JavaScript application that uses the Windows Azure Mobile Service. In this <g class="gr_ gr_83 gr-alert gr_gramm Punctuation only-ins
replaceWithoutSep" data-gr-id="83" id="83">step</g> the user must register their website name in the Cross-origin resource sharing (CORS). By default, "localhost" is added by the Windows Azure Mobile Service
so your quick startup project can run without making any CORS setting changes. The user can add their website domain name by clicking on the configure tab (menu).
The user can add as many website domain names as needed.

are you asking a question or did you just post a tutorial here? you might want to post it as a blog post or wiki entry instead.

  • Adobe AIR HTML/JS application and Windows Native Installer

    Hi,
I am building an Adobe AIR application with HTML and Javascript and I would like to know how to make an Windows Native Installer.
I am trying to build it with Flash Pro but it keeps returning the error 'Invalid SWF file'. At the application.xml file the <content> points to my index.html file. I don't use any SWF file. When I change this to point to the SWF it does build tha installer but the application loads the SWF.
Is there any way to build a Windows Native Installer and the initial content be an HTML file?
p.s. I tried to extract the files from the installer file and edit the application.xml there to point to the index.html. But I can't repackage the files to a valid air native installer.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
Thank you for reporting this. The internal bug number for the issue is #2740755. The issue is currently under review and will be investigated by one of AIR team members.

  • How to embed and play mp4 video in HTML AIR application?

Adobe Air HTML / JS application compiled from SDK command line.  I am not using flash pro or flash builder to create the application.
I was using dreamweaver but the dw air plugin seems to have stopped being developed so I switched to using the command line tools.
I am creating desktop air application that has embedded mp3 audio and also I want to embed mp4 video.
Using jQuery and the AIR js plugin I am able to play audio via buttons hooked up via jQuery and the AIR js plugin from the SDK.
What I am doing is creating proofs for clients in AIR and sending link to the client to download the application.  I embed the media because I do not want to place them on a website where it could possibly be seen by non-clients and get picked up in the SE's.
I am finding it hard to understand the AIR process for playing video.  I read that it is the same procedure as audio but it does not work.
If it was hosted on youtube or somewhere embedding the web player would be simple, just copy paste some code and it works.  When actually embedding the video say mp4, f4v, mov, wmv or similar file formats I can't get AIR to play the video.  Audio, not a problem it works great.
I would like to do the following with video.
Embed the actual file in the AIR app.  I can do this, it gets embedded.
Play, pause and stop the video - Can't get this to work
Get the current stop point and be able to start the video by sending a start point - This is all working with audio I just want to do it with video.
I have searched the forums, the search engines, youtube and read through the documentation on Air but the video does not work at all.
I need code samples and direction on how to make an embedded video play inside of a desktop air application using the HTML / JS air model. I am using the command line tools to create the air package and test the air app.
Please help if you have figured this out.
    Thank you.
Not sure if this matters but I am using Windows 7 Pro 64bit as my development machine.

In addition I also can not get html5 video to play in the adobe air app.  Would this issue be tied to the above?

  • Help with setting up application form to change per week.

Hi all, i am going to be creating a simple feedback system application on apex but from the requirements given to me I am somewhat uncertain of how to go about creating it.
    The requirements are roughly:
A feedback system to capture thoughts and views of students each week.
An 'admin' area for the lecturer to define how many weeks the course is running for and whether there are 2/3/4 sessions each week for the duration.
The form in which the student will give feedback each week.
A results chart/graph/report in the 'admin' area, (with a printable PDF possibly?)
My question is, when the lecturer defines how many weeks the course is running for and how many sessions a week there is, is there any way of setting the form page (the student uses to give feedback) to change for each week i.e week1, week2 etc. So the student doesn't keep supplying the feedback for week1 for example.
The number of sessions will simple enough to sort out im thinking, just create the page with the highest possible amount of sessions on, then if there is only 2 sessions a week, only 2 will be displayed to fill in and the others will be hidden. If this is possible?
Any ideas and thoughts are welcome. Please also mention any other ways of doing this if you have any!
    Thanks in advance,
    Ashleigh

    Hello Ashleigh,

    >
The answer for the above question is YES, with the help of form based on APEX_COLLECTIONS and/or APEX_ITEM API.
Now the question is HOW. The answer to this question is for example the Timesheets Packaged Application which was provided by OTN a while ago(say before release of APEX 4.1) which was available here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/apex/application-express/packaged-apps-090453.html
The application provided a way to collect no. of hours a particular person has worked on particular timecode in a week.
The main page consisted of a form built on collection(which was built on page load) whose first column consisted of timecode drop-down and rest of the column headers consisted of days of the week and the columns consisted of textbox for entering no. of hours worked. In short it was type of matrix form.
    Hope it helps!

    $('.fancybox-media')
    .attr('rel', 'media-gallery')

    type : 'iframe',
    padding : 5
    $("#fancybox-manual-c").click(function() {

    href : '1_b.jpg',
    title : 'My title'
    href : '2_b.jpg',
    title : '2nd title'
    href : '3_b.jpg'
    helpers : {
    thumbs : {
    width: 75,
    height: 50
Copy that block of code and save it into a js file with the name "fancybox_definitions" in the fancybox/lib folder.
Then add the other "calls" to Fancybox files to your header.  It should work from there.

  • Send Email with HTML format in Outlook Macro

I can use the following to send email with HTML format in VBA. I also have created an HTML file. Is there a way to load the file into .HTMLBody to send it as HTML format message?
        Set OutlookApp = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")
        Set objMail = OutlookApp.CreateItem(olMailItem)
        With objMail
           .BodyFormat = olFormatHTML
.HTMLBody = "<HTML><BODY>Enter the message text here. </BODY></HTML>"
           .Display
        End With

    Try:
    Dim fso As Scripting.FileSystemObject
    Dim htmlFile As Scripting.TextStream
    Set fso = New Scripting.FileSystemObject
    Set htmlFile = fso.OpenTextFile("C:\path\to\my-html-file.htm")
    strInsert = htmlFile.ReadAll
    then change:
    .htmlbody = strInsert
oh, and you need to set a reference to the Scripting runtime in Tools, References.

  • HTML DB application as portlet

Has anyone been able to add an HTML DB application as a portlet that is rendered inline in Portal? I'm trying this with Portal 9.0.2.2.14 and Html Db 1.5.0.00.33. The html db application is registered as a partner application with the SSO server and the authentication is working fine.
I've set up the application as a url-based portlet and have the inlineRendering tag as 'true' in my provider.xml; the provider test page comes up fine. I registered the provider in Portal and added the portlet to a page tab.
However when I click on the tab, it briefly displays 'Redirecting to the login server for authentication' then the html db application takes over the browser window. I would like the application to render within the portlet window.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Angel

You don't have to upgrade your application server, only Web Clipping.
As far as I remember, Web Clipping was part of 9.0.2.6 - so all you need to do is download the pre-configured standalone OC4J which contains Web Clipping, and follow the very simple installation instructions.

  • Where are HTML DB applications under Apache?

There is advice to use for HTML DB administration, and also - for developemnt puporses the web applicatin with URL in form:
    http://server:port/pls/Database Authentication Descriptor/...
For me - it results in page not found...
Well - I have installed HTML BD (10.1.0.2.0) - but - under the
    C:\oracle\product\10.1.0\dbc_1\Apache\Apache\htdoc
there is no directories like \pls...
Are these application located in other places. My installation was succesfull (without erroras) and in installation log I can found that thousands of some DB entries - named 'pages' has been created in DB... Well - what is architeture of HTML DB application - are web pages saved in Oracle DB and as plain text HTML?

They are stored in the database under the flows users. Unfortunately, they are not in a format that is as friendly as html. The pages are rendered using pl/sql packages in the database.
