PhotomergeUI.plugin won't load

Hi, y'all!
I tried installing the PhotomergeUI from photoshop extra plugin, but it won't load. When I reloaded photoshop, it's missing under the files>automate menu.
I put it under //applications/adobe photoshop cs4/plug-ins/automate/
I think I've overwritten the original photomerge plugin in the process, too.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

It's supposed to replace the regular photomerge plugin that comes with photoshop cs4 with an interface to align the pictures manually like in the older photoshops.

64-bit plugin won't load

Hi,
I have a plug-in that I've compiled in 32-bit and 64-bit versions, and the 32-bit version loads fine in Photoshop 32-bit, but the x64 version fails to load in Photoshop 64-bit. I saw Jim Watters' thread about this, and added this to my .r file:

but it still fails to load. What do I do from here? I've looked around but can't see any advice on how to track down problems with plug-ins that won't load. Are there any diagnostic tools which I can use to get more information about why it won't load?

Interestingly, the debug version works fine, just not the release version. I have looked at the projects settings but found nothing significantly different between the two configurations. Currently we're working around the problem by using the debug version.

CS3 SDK plugin won't load in CS2

Looking at the Illustrator SDK programmer's guide is looks like it should be possible to develop a universal binary plugin using XCode. It appears that its possible to use this universal binary plugin with both CS2 and CS3. When I compile the sample plugins that come with CS3 SDK, they will not load in CS2. "Error loading plugins" This is on an intel mac running 10.4.9. Could anyone shed some light on this situation for me? Do I have to develop two plugins? Does Illustrator output a debug log anywhere which would help me understand what's going on?

Jon, yes it is possible to do this (i.e. develop a universal binary plug-in using Xcode that loads and runs under Illustrator CS2 and CS3). There are two reasons why the universal binaries for samples from the CS3 SDK don't load and run under CS2.
1) CS2 can't find their plug-in entry point function.
2) The CS3 SDK samples are dependent on versions of suites that are only available in CS3.
Regarding 1 - CS2 will use the entry point function name provided in the 'mach' property in your plug-in's PiPL resource. If the function name provided there is empty CS2 will look for a function named "main" and call that if it is available, otherwise you'll get an "Error loading plug-ins." alert. The behaviour of CS3 is slightly different, if the entry point name is empty it looks first for a function named "PluginMain", then for a function named "main", then gives up with the error alert. The CS3 samples all use an entry point function named "PluginMain" and leave the entry point name empty in their 'mach' property (and their 'mi32' property for that matter). It's straightforward to change this. For example, to name the entry point for the Tutorial sample on the CS3 SDK add the commented line below to Tutorial.r:

Regarding 2 - to have a plug-in that will successfully run under CS2 or CS3 the plug-in must only depend on suites that are available under the host application. The simplest arrangement is to have one plug-in binary that uses the suite versions supported by CS2 - the "lowest common denominator" approach. Alternatively your plug-in can make a run time check of the version of Illustrator it is running under and acquire / use the suite versions appropriately. The CS3 SDK samples don't do either of these things. So if you only make the fix for 1 described above in the Tutorial sample it will still fail to load under CS2 because it will try and acquire suites that are only available in CS3. If you change the Tutorial sample to use the legacy suite versions supported by CS2 (such as AIArtSuite, AIPathSuite,AIDocumentViewSuite, AIUnicodeStringSuite and AIToolSuite whose headers you'll find in the AI120xxx header files in the legacy folder on the CS3 SDK) you can implement a lowest common denominator approach for the sample and it should at least startup cleanly under CS2. There may be further changes required to get all the features of the sample to run properly.
I haven't had much luck getting the Xcode 2.4.1 debugger to host a debug session under Illustrator CS2 - so debugging is painful. But it may well be my own lack of Xcode / gdb knowledge that's the barrier here.

Adobe Reader plugin won't load on Safari for Windows

I have 3 browsers running on Vista so that I can check website compatibility on all 3. Everything looks fine on Safari except that I cannot download and read PDF files (I can with FF3 and IE7). I realized that the Safari (version 4) on Windows that I have doesn't have the Adobe plugin, but every time I try to install it the system tells me that I already have a better version installed (9.1) and won't let me add the Safari browser to the mix. Any suggestions???

Acrobat plugin won't load in Safari

Running Snow Leopard. Didn't select using Acrobat plugin when Acrobat first installed. Now I cannot get Safari to recognize acrobat.plugin.
I tried Acrobat:Help:Repair Acrobat installation but that didn't help. Tried deleting Safari plist preference file; no luck.
How do I get Safari to recognize acrobat plugin?

Are you running THe Computer in OSX.6?
If so, are you running the computer in 64 bit mode?
If so, are you Running Safari in 64 bit mode?using 64 bit version?
If so? Then you need to switch Safari to 32bit mode. no plugin designed for 32 bit mode will work in 64 mode.
if all the question are no or your using X.5.8 or lower then try doing Help > Repair installation.

I'm trying to watch ESPN360, but the Move Networks player won't load. It was working before I replaced my hard drive(it died). I used time machine to restore all my files, info, etc..., but now this player won't load. Someone please give me some Ideas. Thanks.

Try doing these steps:
Install Firefox 11 from [http://www.getfirefox.com www.getfirefox.com]. simply install it over your current version of Firefox to make sure all Windows Registry settings get recreated correctly.
Run all Windows Updates. Service packs, etc. You may have to run this several times to ensure that you get all needed updates.
Download and Install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full Scan. [http://www.malwarebytes.org/ http://www.malwarebytes.org/]. This helps check that there are no viruses on your computer causing issues. You can uninstall this program after you clean off any infections.
Update your graphics driver (Firefox uses your graphics card for some rendering, and an out of date graphics card driver can cause problems. [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers].
After doing all these steps, try restarting your computer, and seeing if Pogo will run.
If it doesn't work, go into your control panel, and uninstall every installation of Java and Flash that you have. Try to start Firefox in [[Safe mode|Safe mode]]. This mode disables all extensions, user customizations, hardware acceleration, etc. temporarily for diagnostic and troubleshooting. If Firefox works find in Safe Mode, then this is likely an add-on issue. Restart Firefox in normal mode, then type "About:addons" (without the quotes) in the address bar. Disable your extensions one by one, restarting Firefox between each one, until you find the trouble maker. Once you do, you can disable that add-on and report the issue to that add-on's developer.
If it does not help the issue, open up your Firefox Profile. [[Backing up your information|Backing up your information]] shows you where that is stored by default. Delete or rename the "pluginreg.dat" file (make sure Firefox is closed when you do this). Test again.

Firefox 3.6.10 update won't load on restart (tried many times) and exits after warning to restart again - how to disable warning so don't have to start twice every time I use Firefox?

I regret agreeing to download Firefox 3.6.10 update, as it is somehow corrupted, and will not load when I restart. Subsequently, every time I start Firefox, it warns "Update Ready to Install", then when I don't restart (if I restart, it won't load) it exits, and I have to start Firefox a second time. Then it works without the warning, but when I exit and start Firefox again, the warning returns and the cycle repeats. This is such a nuisance I have gone back (reluctantly) to Explorer. Is there anyway for me to get rid of this corrupted update and go back to before I downloaded the fateful update?

Firefox won't load google image search results

Firefox won't load google search results. It will load the page of results with the thumbnails etc. but if you click any of them, just a loading spinning icon appears on the tab and it never loads.
I have tried:
Both logged in and out of google account,
All other areas of google work with no problems (news, shopping etc.),
Site working perfectly in Internet Explorer,
Running firefox in safemode,
Manually disabling all plugins and addons,
Clearing the cache and cookies,
Opening results in new tab just results in white page with web address but it never loads,
Restarting both my PC and router.
It's not been working for at least the past 6 hours. Last time I used it was about a week ago and it was working fine then. I've not noticed any problems on any other sites this week that I can recall.

Updating firefox to version 17.0 appears to have solved this.

Firefox updated yesterday and now it won't load any webpages. Have reviewed articles on this problem and checked everything. Still won't load. All other browsers work fine.

Have checked firewall and network settings and compared to other computers running firefox. All is ok, but firefox won't load any webpages. This started immediately after it updated yesterday. No error messages.
Have been having problems with updates on serveral of our computers for a month or so. Previous problems have always been that firefox renames a file it needs by adding moz.backup to the file name and I have to search for the file and remove it. This time I'm getting no error messages.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

I discovered problem. It's caused by NetworkManager after last update (libsystemd.0.so trouble).
Recompile pkg by yourself to get working NetworkManager.

Certain web sites won't load on any browser on Macbook Pro

Starting yesterday certain web sites won't load on any browser (Safari or Chrome). These include sites like the New England Journal of Medicine, Washington Post, and English Bulldog News. I get an error message in Safari that the server took too long to respond and in Chrome I get a connection timeout error message. I updated Adobe Flash with a clean install as I was unable to update using the standard method due to connection timeout. That restored my access to YouTube video but today it takes ~2 minutes to load a YT video. Web sites are loading fine on my phone and household PCs.
Not sure if it is notable that my internet loading capacity has been very slow for some time. I worked with the internet company to increase the network speed but my computer has not seen benefit. No problems on the PCs in our house but my Macbook very frequently gets partially "kicked-off" the network as indicated by yellow lights seen next to the "internet" and "server" items in my Network Diagnostics utility.
I looked at old threads and ran EtreCheck (see results copied below) as was recommended to another user several months ago, but would appreciate any thoughts about where to go from here. Updated osx and now mail won't load

Hi all,
I've updated my operating system so that I could go on to upgrade to Lion, but in the interim my mail won't load - its telling me "an error occured while importing. Make sure you have available space in your home folder and try again"...I can't even locate my "home" folder on my system...
Any ideas how I can fix this? And will upgrading to Lion without the mail box being fixed perhaps fix it?

Sounds like something went pear-shaped somewhere along the line. I suggest reinstalling like this:
* Go to [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/?ref=logo Download Firefox 4.0] and download a fresh installation file to the desktop.
* Then go to Add/Remove Programs, scroll down to Mozilla Firefox and remove it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations etc., (don't checkmark the box).
* Then reboot and delete the folder called Mozilla Firefox at this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
* Finally run the installation file you downloaded.
After you complete the installation, go to the [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ Plugins Check] page and update those if necessary.

Memory leak? Firefox won't load pages/open.

Ok, I believe there is a memory leak. I am surfing ok then a page wont load. I go to taskmgr and I show that one firefox has 104,990 K of memory. The rest have at most 3,000K. After the page won't load I close Firefox. It won't open. I have to turn on PC and unplug to get it to open again.

This issue can be caused by an extension or plugin that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
