PI Testtools

Hi,
currently i'm searching für testtools to test PI scenarios. They should provide the creation of testsuites and plans which can be executed automatically.
Does anyone know such tools, or has experience with them?
The only ones i know thus far are:
- HP Quality Center (integratet in Solution Manager)
- Greenhat tools

MS

Also Apache Jmeter is another tool...info can be found in these threads:

I am trying to use Coded UI record and play back for a web application. If I create a new solution and a project and record and play back, it works fine.
But when I try to add a new Coded UI project to an existing solution and try to the record and play back, the play back fails with the following error:
     Test Name: Login1
     Test FullName: Test.LoginNS.Login1
     Test Source: c:\CodedUITestProject1\Test\Login.cs : line 29
     Test Outcome: Failed
     Test Duration: 0:00:06.0481823
     Result Message:
     Test method TestWebUI.LoginNS.Login1 threw exception:
     System.MissingMethodException: Method not found: 'Int32 Microsoft.VisualStudio.TestTools.UITest.Extension.UITestUtilities.get_IEVersion()'.
I looked at the version of the dll "Microsoft.VisualStudio.TestTools.UITest.Extension" and its 11.0.
Any pointers or help would be really appreciated.

    Hi singhguru87,
Thanks for posting in the MSDN forum.
    >>If I create a new solution and a project and record and play back, it works fine.
    >>But when I try to add a new Coded UI project to an existing solution and try to the record and play back, the play back fails...
The real issue is that whether there are other projects in your existing solution, if so, how about unloading the other projects one by one? So we could know that whether other projects impact this coded UI test project.
Or you could take a backup for your solution , and then copy other projects from existing one to your new solution which works well, how about the results?
Please compare the new coded UI test code with the previous new one, do you make sure that they have the same code?
Please also compare the project property like .NET Framework version and Platform target (Any CPU/X86/X64).
If still no help, please collect the detailed coded UI test log, maybe you could get more useful information.

  • Adobe PDF TestTool Kit

Reaching out for any assistance.  Using the latest version the this toolkit with UFT(QTP) 11.52.  I am able to see the addin at startup of UFT and check the box.  When I attempt to record some data entry in a PDF form, it only seems to recognize the pdf page and not the individual objects because I get "WinObject:AVPageView" for all objects I spy on.  I am able to see all the Object classes for the AcroQTP under Object Identification.  Is there anyone out there that has gotten the latest version of Adobe PDF TestTool kit to work?

And talking about actual versions; the Reader version you downloaded is very old.  The current versions are 10.1.13 and 11.0.10.

  • MSTest Coded UI Test Could not load file or assembly Microsoft.VisualStudio.TestTools.UITesting

    Hi,
I have created some Coded UI Tests in a Test Project using Visual Studio Premium 2013 (Version 12.0.30723.00 Update 3).
Those Coded UI tests run just fine when I run them from inside Visual Studio (Go to Test Explorer and hit Run).
However If I try to run them using MSTest.exe or VSTest.Console.exe I am not able to.
When I run the tests using MSTest I get the following error:
    Loading CodedUITests.dll...
    CodedUITests.dll
Unable to load the test container 'CodedUITests.dll' or one of its dependencies.
Error details: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly

    find the file specified.
If I run them using VSTest.Console.exe I get the following error:

I try to find this issue online and was not able to find anyone with a similar problem.I am not sure if there is something corrupted with my VS
instalation that may be causing this problem.
Could someone help me with this?
    Thanks!
    Brazeta
PS: This path "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0\Common7\IDE\PublicAssemblies" exists in the machine where I have VS and where I am executing the MSTest command. This path contains all the Microsoft test assemblies, including "Microsoft.VisualStudio.TestTools.UITesting.dll"

    Hi Edward
    >> Do you mean that Coded UI tests run fine in VS, but failed with MSTest?
Yes, that is exactly the case!
    >>Before you run with MSTest, have you changed the Coded UI project?
No. In Visual Studio I can run the Coded UITests by going to Text Explorer and click the run button. Without changing anything else, if I try to run them in using mstest or vstest.console I am not able to
    >>Did you change the project after you run in vs?
No. The project did not change at all
    >> Could you share us the MSTest command?
I run the commands in "Developer Command Prompt fro VS2012". the commands are:

    The selected platform is AnyCPU

The tests are all in the CodedUITests dll. All tests were created inside a test project (called CodedUITests, they run ok if I execute them in VS but the show the abouve error if I run them using the Developer Command Prompt for VS2012).
I didn´t mention this before but I DO NOT have test controller and test agents installed in my PC! I just have Visual Studio installed (not 100% sure if I need the agent to run the UI Tests in the same PC where I have VS installed).
I hope this information may be usefull,
    Best Regards,
    José Brazeta
    PS:
I just try to create a very simple UI Test in another PC where I have Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate (Versio12.0.30723.00 Update 3).
Using VS I created a new Solution with just 1 project (Coded UI Test Project) and recorded a very simple test (on IE and at the google page search for Coded UI Test and hit the search button).
After compiling the Coded UI Test project in VS I can see the test in Test Explorer and If I run the test it all goes ok.
Using the Developer Command Prompt for VS2012 if I navigate the the "Debug" folder of my project none of the following scripts will work:
    mstest /testcontainer:CodedUITestProject1.dll
    vstest.console CodedUITestProject1.dll
I get the same error that I show in the bigining of this post.

  • Unable to cast object of type 'Microsoft.VisualStudio.TestTools.UITesting.UITestControl' to type 'Microsoft.VisualStudio.TestTools.UITesting.WinControls.WinComboBox'.

    Hi,
I used to cast the UITestControl to WinComboBox in CodedUI Test and it throws the Invalid Cast Exception
    Here is my code snippet:
in this code, CalcButtonNew() method return UITestControl object and i am trying to cast it to WinComboBox.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Selvaraj C
    Selvaraj

    Hi Selvaraj,
According to your description, could you please tell me why you want to cast it to WinComboBox?
Could you please tell me where you hand code for the cast it to WinComboBox, is it in the UIMap.Designer.cs file or other .cs file?
In addition, as you said that since the CalcButtonNew() method return UITestControl object. Now, you are trying to use the CalcButtonNew() method return WinComboBox object.
I doubt that you may be not cast UITestControl to WinComboBox successfully by handing code.
Since when we playback the UI action by the hierarchy to search the UI Map Control object in coded UI test. If the CalcButtonNew() method reture object is UITestControl, but you want to cast the UITestControl object directly to WinComboBox object. The
CalcButtonNew() method will not search the WinComboBox control directly by the searchproperties so that you will not cast ITestControlto WinComboBox successfully.
If I misunderstanding your issue, please tell me more detail information about your issue.
If possible, I suggest you can share me your sample about your issue.

    Hi QAcodedui,
Based on your issue, you mean that when you record the textbox UI action with input a phone number text value in the textbox control and then you playback this textbox UI action, it failed for coded UI test, am I right?
If yes, I tried to add a simple textbox control in a windows form app and then I record the textbox UI action using coded UI test builder. I found that I can playback this textbox UI action successfully for coded UI test.
So if you are handing code for this textbox UI action in coded UI test, I suggest you could try to use the coded UI test builder to record and playback this textbox UI action check this issue again.
In addition, I suggest you could try to add the DrawHighlight method check whether the textbox control is found correctly.
If you are able to see cursor is highlight in the txt field it means controls is identified without error. Then I suggest you could try to add the following code for the textbox control.
For example, you can add the SendKeysAsScanCode method or the SkipSetPropertyVerification method check this issue.
    (1) Playback.PlaybackSettings.SendKeysAsScanCode = true; Keyboard.SendKeysDelay = 10;
    (2) Playback.PlaybackSettings.SkipSetPropertyVerification = true;
Or you can try to add more searchproperties for this textbox control and then check this issue.

My target system in not having VS installed in it. Can anyone tell me why I am getting this error and how to overcome this problem. Am I missing to add any dll? should I make any specific changes while publishing the application.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Hello,
To narrow down this issue, I would recommend you check whether these dlls for that method have been registered successfully.
Honestly, I am not a VS test expert, maybe you could just install this anget instead, you could switch to the other version for the one you are using.

    Hi,
You can also use the Map TestTool to test your maps. It uses the BizTalk engine to execute the map. You can select a map that is deployed to the GAC en execute it.
You can download the sample tool with the source code here:

  • Error in BDC using 'N' mode while creating production order

    Hi,
I am trying to create a production order  ( transaction CO01 ) by using a BDC. I just have to fill the header details, components , assign the component to operation , save and exit. When I am running the BDC in 'A' or 'E' mode, it works fine. The 'E' mode doesnt stop anywhere and successfully creates the production order . But when I change the mode to 'N', it throws an error "No batch input data for the screen SAPLCOKO1 0115". I am using Call transaction in BDC to create the production order. What could be the issue? Can someone throw some light?
    Thanks,
    Suganya

    Hi Suganya,
I guess that Chandra Madapati is right. I also faced the same issue for another transaction.
If you want to disable the batch input (sy-binpt), you can use the addition OPTIONS FROM in call transaction statement.
It refers to the structure CTU_PARAMS in ABAP dictionary and contains the following components:
    Component
    Meaning
    DISMODE
Processing mode for batch input processing. Values as for the MODE addition.
    UPMODE
Processing mode for batch input processing. Values as for the UPDATE addition.
    CATTMODE
CATT mode for batch input processing. CATT means Computer Aided Testtool. While batch input is mostly used for data transfer, CATT processes are to be viewed as more complex transactions, since they are reusable tests. Values: " " (no CATT mode), "N" (CATT without single screen control), "A" (CATT with single screen control).
    DEFSIZE
Selection as to whether the screens of the called transaction are displayed in the standard screen size. Values "X" (standard size), " " (current size).
    RACOMMIT
Selection as to whether the COMMIT WORK statement terminates batch input processing or not. Values: " " (COMMIT WORK terminates processing), "X" ( COMMIT WORK does not terminate processing).
    NOBINPT
Selection for the symbol field sy-binpt. Values: " " (sy-binpt contains in the called transaction "X"), "X" (sy-binpt contains in the called transaction " ").
    NOBIEND
Selection for the system field sy-binpt. Values: " " (sy-binpt contains "X" after the end of the batch input data in the called transsaction ) "X" (sy-binpt contains " " after the end of the batch input data in the called transaction).
In this, if you give NOBINPT as 'X', the system field sy-binpt becomes disabled. You can also set the processing mode and update mode using DISMODE and UPMODE respectively.
    Thanks & Regards,
    T. Prasanna Kumar

    Hi Siva,
Plz check whether you kept the correct JAR files(drivers) related to siebel in the lib folder of the iWay installation directory.
And also check whether you have given the iWay root directory path during creating configuration in Application explorer
