PIR with multiple currency

Hi Experts,
Is it possible for the purchase order automatically choose the condition price according to the header currency?
I've maintain 2 PB00 condition type in the purchase info record, 100 usd/1pc and 100 jpy/1pc.
And now when I create the purchase order nomatter in USD or JPY, the system only choose the 100JPY/1PC for pricing, ignoring the 100USD/1PC.
Any good ideas?
Best wishes.

This idea does not work. there can only be one valid  condition at a time. SAP does not pick the condtions from an inforecord according to the currency chosen in the PO.
It is even not really logical to have 2 prices in different currenies for one vendor/material combination.
Why is that? If you have plants in different countries, but just one purchasing org, then you should create your inforecords at plant level.

  • Foreign Currency Revaluation for company code with multiple currencies

My company code has the following parallel currencies:
company code currency - USD (10)
    group currency - CAD (30)
    index currency - USD (50)
    transaction currency - CAD
When I execute F.05 for valuation of CAD open item in currency code 10, the program only posts adjustments to the company code currency 10; no postings to
index currency 50. As a result, my Revaluation document does not have balanced company code currency and index currency.
    For example:
    Open item                     = CAD 1,000
company code currency = USD 990
    group currency              = CAD 1000
    index currency              = USD 990
    Revaluation adjustment = USD 5
This adjustment is only posted at company code currency; no posting for Index currency.
As a result, company code currency is USD 995 but index currency remains at USD 990.
    Pls. advise corrective measures.
    Thanks!

Currently, I have the following settings:
    Chart of Accounts           xxxxx
    GL account                    xxxxx
    Currency                        blank
    Curr type                        blank
F.05 calculates foreign currency adjustment based on above.  I tried your proposed solution, and added new entries for currency USD and curr types 10 & 50, but still the program does not post to curr 50, only to curr 10.

  • Bank to bank transfer with multiple currencies

    Dear All,
Please guide me on the following transaction where there is funds transfer from one bank to the other bank of the same company:
    CoCode currency: INR
    Transferring Bank: USD
    Receiving Bank: EUR
The user needs to transfer funds from the bank where company is having account in USD to the bank where company is having account in EUR. User will pass only one accounting document, where the sending bank accouont should get credit in USD and receiving bank account should get debit in EUR. Foreign exchange if any should get automatically calculated and posted to the respective accounts.
Which module of SAP supports this kind of transaction (whether is it SAP-FI-Bank Accounting or SAP-Banking or SAP-FSCM).
Please let me know if I need to refer some notes or sites where some guidance is given on this type of transaction.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
You have to configure Forex Settings for these currencies. Then you have to post this business transaction.

  • Multiple currency transaction with DI not possible

    Hi all!
I'm trying to make a jounral entry with multiple currencies. For example I want to book on Debit in EUR and on Credit side in USD. When I want to add the journal entry I got an error:
Transaction includes more than one currency.
I can reproduce the error in Business One, making a Journ Entry in the form. But there I have a form setting called "Allow multiple currency transactions". When I check it I can add my journal entry without any problem.
Can anyone help me find a solution in this?
As the Add-on I'm developing is a stock-exchange reporting tool and it passes journal entries to B1, multi currency transactions are regular task
    Thanks!
    Jörg

Ok, I find a solution by myself.
In the AdminInfo object is a property called MultiCurrencyCheck. When this is set to cc_NoMessage, I can save the journal entry.
If you want to change this setting in Business One:
Select Administration --> System Initialization --> Document Settings --> Per Document tab --> Journal Entry tab
There is a check box "Allow  multiple currency transactions". The description is wrong and it should say "Block multiple currency transactions", like the other. When it is unchecked, I can make multiple currency transaction otherwise not.

  • Multiple currency planning and budgeting?

    Hi all
We are having a requirement of planning and budgeting in same WBS with multiple currencies and also seeing reports in different currencies on single screen.
Now has anybody explored this area and has anything to suggest.
    Thanks in anticipation
    Raman

    Hi Raman
The following is the literature from SAP on the subject. You may find it useful.
Planning and Budgeting in Any Currency
    Use
International groups often use one uniform company code currency (group currency) in CO. However, it may be necessary to plan and budget in the respective local currency as the majority of costs will be incurred in the local currency. The local currency is usually the corresponding company code currency.
Previously only budgeting of jobs (orders and projects) was possible in the local currency.
From Release 4.70, you can also budget investement programs in the local currency. In addition, it is possible to plan investment programs, appropriation requests and jobs directly in the local currency.
As was previously the case for orders and projects, plan and budget values for investment programs and appropriation requests are also saved in both the controlling area and local currencies defined in the master record of each object. If you change or re-specify the exchanged rates used, it is now possible to recalculate the values in the local currency using the values in the controlling area currency, and vice-versa.
In reporting for IM, it is even possible to calculate evaluations in any report currency (plan, budget and assigned values). If the values are available in the specified report currency, they are issued unchanged. If they are not available, they are converted from the controlling area currency into the report currency.
    Effects on Existing Data
Before Release 4.70, the plan values for appropriation requirements, were only saved in the controlling area currency. This was also the case if a local object currency was specified in the master record for the appropriation requirement. From Release 4.70, the plan values for appropriation requirements are always saved in the controlling area and local currencies. Therefore, you must adjust appropriation requests that were created in an earlier release and use a local currency that varies from the local object currency. The easiest way to do this is to use the program RAIMCRC2 to recalculate the plan values in the local object currency for appropriation requests whose plan values are in the controlling area currency (transaction IMCRC2, menu path: Financial Accounting  -> Investment Management -> Appropriation Requests -> Tools -> Recalculate Currency Plan for Appropriation Requests). Before you run the program, select the relevant option in the Process Control section of the initial screen.
    Effects on Customizing
Adjustment of Planning and Budget Profiles
To enable the planning of investment programs, appropriation requests and jobs in a transaction currency different to the controlling area currency, you must adjust the relevant planning profiles.
To enable the budgeting of investment programs in a transaction currency different to the controlling area currency, you must adjust the relevant budget profiles.
In the planning currency (or budgeting currency) section of the planning (or budget) profile, you must define the transaction currency in which planning (or budgeting) is to be executed:
Only in the controlling area currency (default),
    Only in the object currency
(= local currency defined in object master record ) or
In a transaction currency chosen at the start of planning/budgeting
(this option is not possible for appropriation requests).
In the planning or budget profiles, you must also define the exchange rate types to be used for the conversion of total values that are not dependent on the fiscal year.
To adjust the planning profiles, use the process steps:
    Maintain Planning Profiles  (investment programs)
Maintain Planning Profile for Cost Planning (appropiation requests)
To adjust the budgeting profiles, use the process steps:
Define Budget Profiles for Investment Programs   (investment programs)
    Exchange Rate Types
In the fiscal-year-dependent data of the CO planning versions, you must also define the exchange rate types to be used for conversion of plan values that are not dependent on the fiscal year.
For conversion of fiscal-year-dependent budget values and fiscal-year-dependent plan values of appropriation request variants not yet assigned to a plan version, each exchange rate type is taken from the fiscal-year-dependent data of the CO planning versions 0.
As the plan or budget values are stored in the transaction, controlling area, and local currencies, the exchange rates used must enable the conversion of the transaction currency into the controlling area and local currencies. Where necessary, the exchange rates used must be extended.
To enter the exchange rate types, use the process step:
    Define Versions  (investment programs)
    Change Planning or Budget Currency
If you always planned or budgeted existing investment programs/measures in the controlling area currency, it is not subsequently possible to change the planning or budget currency to the object currency in the planning or budget profiles. This conversion is not prevented in Customizing, but leads to an error when you next plan or budget existing investment programs/measures. Alternatively, you can convert the planning or budget currency into the transaction currency in the planning or budget profiles, and set the object currency indicator as default.
A similar restriction does not exist for appropriation requests. You can change the planning currency in the planning profile at any time.
Use the process step under "Adjust the Planning and Budgeting Profiles".
    Detailed Planning
When you call up detailed planning from structure-based cost planning or revenue planning, the standard SAP planning profiles are used, to which the standard SAP planning layouts are assigned. These planning profiles cannot be changed in the planning transactions. Import the standard SAP planning layouts 1-401-IM, 1-402-IM, 1-403-IM, 1-701-IM,  1-702-IM and 1-703-IM using the transaction OKBF from client 000 in your client.
To execute the import, choose the process step:
    Import Standard Planning Layouts.
    Reporting Currency for IM Reporting
In IM reporting, if you want to be able to specify a reporting currency that is different to the controlling area and object currencies used in the investment program items or subordinate appropriation requests and measures, another exchange rate type is required for the due conversion of plan, budget, or values into the reporting currency. You define this exchange rate type in Customizing for the program type for the investment program to be reported ( Group Reporting).
To enter additional reporting currencies, use the process step:
    Define Program Types  (investment programs)

  • Foreign Currency Loan (with multiple re-payments schedule)

    Hello Experts.
Please provide me with your inputs on product types to be used for foreign currency loan borrowed with multiple repayments schedule
    For Ex:
    I took foreign currency loan on 1st July 2013 - 10000$ @ 1% interest.
Now I need to make payment of 2500$ after every six months.
    Like 2500$ on 1st January 2014
    Another 2500$ on 1st July 2014
    Third installment 2500$ on 1st January 2015
    Final part 2500$ on 1st July 2015.
How do i map above scenario?. Is there some separate product type for such scenario. At present, I am using product type 55A which has one end term.
    Please provide with your inputs.
    Deepak

    Hi Deepak,
this is quite straightforward - you can use e.g. Product type 55A (Product category - 550 - Interest rate instrument) and in a tab 'Structure' in a field group 'Repayment structure' choose '2 - Installment repayment'  and specify an installment amount (in your case 2500$) and also frequency of the installment repayment (like 6 months in your case).
of course, you have to verify that relevant Condition types are correctly defined in Customizing.
    Kind regards,
    Renatas

  • Purchase in Foreign Currency with Multiple GR but single Invoice - URGENT

    Question on the following scenario:
    - Purchase order is foreign currency.
    - Multiple goods receipts posted against the PO on different dates.  Goods receipts will follow the posting date for the exchange rate.
    - Single invoice receipt for the multiple goods receipts
We need the invoice to not result in exchange rate differences for all the line items.  If it was just a single GR, we can change the IR header exchange rate to be equal to the GR exchange rate.  The problem is for multiple GRs with multiple exchange rates.
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Chok,
You can activate the functionality of Price Exchange Rate diffrence at the time of IV instead of GR and hence if there is any diffrence at the time of LIV that is to be accounted and the GR is posted as the PO price without any exchange diffrence.
    Try it!

  • Sales order with line items having multiple values in multiple currency

Please suggest solution for creating sales order having line items with multiple values in multiple currencies.
e.g. Line Item A Qty/1 No,  value 100INR100$100EUR. Customer wants all three values to display at sales order line item level and create billing in 3 currencies.

    Hi,
As far as my understanding it may be possible round the solution,
For 1 company code we can able to maintain 3 currancies,
1 currancy is hard currance & other two are dual currancies.
Create sales order with 3 line items having 3 diffrant currancies
Spilt invoice on the basis of currancy
Last pass to this invoices to accounting.
    Whole process is
Sales order >>> Delivery >>> Invoice 1, Invoice 2, Invoice 3(Split invoice on basis of Currancy).
Consult with FI Team they will tell you about dual currancy & hard currancy

  • Text elements and key figures with multiple restrictions

    Hi,
I'd like to display text elements in my query according to the restricted key figures in it. There is a restricted key figure used multiple times with different base of restriction. (For exmple Sales in the past week and yesterday.)
KF restricted by <i>actual calendar week</i>,  and
KF restricted by <i>actual calendar day</i>
When displaying text elements, only calendar week appears, however, if KF restricted by calendar week is removed from the query, calendar day is being displayed. (I suppose that both time characteristics are taken as filter values.)
Is that possible to display both filter values at once? Or at least calendar day meanwhile still having the week-based restriction in the query?
    Thanx in advance,
    Gabor

One option would be to not use the *MVAL keyword and load the amount and quantity in separate Data Manager package imports wherby you can easily assign the NA to the appropriate dimension.  When you import amount -- assign NA to P_UNIT and when you import quantity -- assign NA to P_CURRENCY.
However I suppose you would prefer to have one import process. Unfortunately I think you will have to find an ABAP custom solution by calling the END_Routine BADI from the transformation file to deal with the currency and unit dimensions.

  • Reporting Multiple Currency Rates

    Hi
Wonder if anyone has completed a report or know's a way of creating a currency report with more than one translation rate, ideally in SAP standard reports (Painter, Query or Drill-down etc).
The report is from PCA and we have GBP as the main currency. We need to submit a report in EUR with 5 (yes 5!) different exchange rates on the report.
The report layout is as follows:
    Act Act Fcst Fcst Bud
    Mth Ytd Mth Ytd Ytd
Each column has a different rate Translated from GBP into EUR.
We would ideally like to maintain the exchange rates in the standard way, so we can default them in the report, or allow the users to enter the individual rates in the selection screen.
    Any help would be appreciated
    Thanks
    Bryn

    Hi Shivaji,
If Kenya is you Business Area and you want all reporting at Business Area level. You need to do the following:
1.Balance sheet of kenya branch is to be prepared in INR: In OBY6 for your company code check the box Business Area in Fin Statements and make Business Area as mandatory field for all your transaction.
2.day to day transactions at kenya is to be at their currency (KES) only as per statutory requirement in kenya .
While doing transaction the transaction currency will be KES and maintain Exchange rate in OB08
3.Receipt or payment may be in KES or USD
    4. sale to nearby countries will be invoiced in their currencies & payment made by them will be in their currency or USD.
Please use the concept of Multiple Currencies.
