Play a clip in reverse?

I Set my focus on an object then zoomed out while rolling tape. I want to reverse the clip to appear as if I am zooming in on the object. What is the quickest way? I can't seemto find it in help. Is it involving keyframing?
Thanks

What everyone else said, but if you get a stuttery playback in reverse (especially with 24P), you can try the free GReverse plugin available at http://www.nattress.com/

  • Playing a clip in reverse

    I have a sports clip in my movie that I want to be shown regular at first, then backwards. How do you make a clip play in reverse. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

    Right click the clip>in the popdown menu select Speed>enter-100 value or check the reverse box.

  • Play a movieclip in reverse

    I'm creating a movieclip that shows some photo samples with
    two arrows at the bottom. I want it so that if the user presses on
    the right arrow, the movie clip plays forward and goes toward the
    end to "shuffle" through the image samples. But I would also like
    them to be able to press on the left arrow and be able to play the
    movieclip backwards to "shuffle" back toward the beginning of the
    images.
    The closest thing I can think of that would be similar to
    this would be the way you can shuffle through album images in
    iTunes.
    I just need to know the Actionscript 2.0 code to play the
    movieclip in reverse.
    Thanks.

    I settled on a solution, maybe not the best one, but it
    works.
    I made a movieclip which goes to frame 2 on rollOver:
    on(rollOver){
    gotoAndStop(2);
    _global.backward = 1;
    on(rollOut){
    gotoAndStop(1);
    _global.backward = 0;
    _parent.stop();
    On the second frame of that movielcip I placed another
    movieclip outside of the stage and put the following code on it:
    onClipEvent(enterFrame){
    _parent._parent.gotoAndStop(_parent._parent._currentframe -
    1);
    if(_parent._parent.tn1._currentframe != 1 &&
    _parent._parent._currentframe == 1) {
    _parent._parent.gotoAndStop(33);
    The extra code about going to frame 33 is to get the main
    movieclip with the picture thumbnails to loop and the check to make
    sure tn1 isn't on frame 1 is just to make it stop going backward
    once it's at the very beginning of the photos. The _global.backward
    variable it just to make sure the pictures cycle properly.
    Instead of having a really long movieclip with numerous
    photos scrolling from offscreen I just made one movieclip and put
    each photo thumbnail on a seperate frame within it. Then, I just
    put six instances of that movieclip on the screen at one time and
    once the first one has gotten offscreen I just have some code cycle
    all of them so it looks like one continuous scroll.
    The only problem I'm still having is that when it loops in
    reverse (meaning it jumps from frame 1 to frame 33) there is a
    slight jerking of all the thumbnails. I'm not sure why this is
    happening because when playing forward, they look perfectly smooth
    even when the movieclip loops.
    If anyone has a suggestion, let me know.
    Thanks.

  • Running clip in reverse produces jerky movement

    I have a "Compression — None" sequence that eventually ends up encoded for DVD. I have a couple of clips that are retimed. Some of them look fine, and others have jerky movement on the final DVD. In another case, I have a person running into frame and then I copy that clip and reverse it so the net effect is that he runs into the frame and then runs out backwards. No retiming was done to that particular clip. On the resulting DVD, he runs in fine, but when he runs out (reversed in the Motion tab, the motion is jerky.
    Any ideas what's going on?

    Playing reversed clips correctly is a non-trivial problem and FCP's reversing function is very simplistic.
    For a more elegant implementation check out Graeme Nattress's G-Reverser. It can be found on his website: www.nattress.com in the free section.
    Good luck,

  • I have recently upgraded my iMac Intel G5 iSight to OS 10.6.8 and now the internal mic does not work with skype or facebook. I can here static when playing back clips. Do I need to update firmware or reload old sys parts

    I have recently upgraded my iMac Intel G5 iSight (iMac5,1) to OS 10.6.8 and now the internal mic does not work with skype or facebook. I can here static when playing back clips. Do I need to update firmware or reload old system parts. I have zapped PRAM. The blue indicator in system audio panel will appear for a second as I slide the bar for internal mic but then it disappears. Is there a fix?

    The sound seems very faint but can here static on playback.

  • How do I get my ipod to play a playlist from reverse order? (Start with recently added song instead of first added)

    How do I get my ipod to play a playlist from reverse order? (Start with recently added song instead of first added)
    So I'm adding new songs to a very old playlist? Is there anyway that when I add them, they automatically go to top of playlist? How about getting one song to the top of a playlist.  That drag to arrange function is very annoying because it is slow and the playlist does not scroll up very well on a PC.

    Make a new playlist by pressing the little plus button at the very lower left corner of iTunes. An new playlist will appear in the Source pane called "untitled playlist". While the name is highlighted, you can change it to whatever you want. Drag all of the tracks from all the albums that comprise a single book to that playlist. Sync that playlist to your iPod.

    Use the search feature and type in Flash and there are like thousands of posts on this.

    What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12/12.1 running on? Can we assume that this audio plays back OK
    on the same computer when you are using a computer player independent of Premiere Elements?
    What are the properties of these clips that worked before but do not know with regard to sound
    For now, I will assume that you are working on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit.
    Have you checked the Edit Menu/Preferences/Audio Hardware ASIO settings? Do you have any 3rd party audio devices incorporated in your computer environment?
    Please delete the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file and, if that does not work, then the whole 12.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists. The Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit path is
    Local Disk C
    Users
    Owner
    AppData
    Roaming
    Adobe
    Premiere Elements
    12.0
    and, in the 12.0 Folder, is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you delete. If that does not work, then delete the whole 12.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists. Make sure that you are working with Folder Option "Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives" active so that you can see the complete path cited.
    Do you have installation files or installation disc with the purchased serial number in case we need to resort to uninstall/reinstall?
    We will be watching for your follow up.

  • My I-Pod plays all podcast in reverse order such as 3.2.1 no matter how I arrange them in I-Tunes.  How do I get my I-Pod to play in the proper 1,2,3 sequence?

    My 3rd gen I-Pod plays all podcast in reverse order, even if I manually try to load it.  I will only automatically play in 3,2,1 order.  Even brought it to the Apple Store and they couldn't figure it out either.  Even bought another I-Pod and still plays in reverse order.  Any ideas out there?
    Thanks in advance for any help, Ty

    They did not order the podcasts correctly in the playlist then.  Several people, including myself, have been able to play podcasts in sequential order.
    When viewing the playlist in iTunes, look to the far left of each episode. There should be a number next to it.  This is the ordering of the playlist.  Sort the playlist in sequential order and view the numbering along the leftmost column and see if the ordering matches up as desired. If they don't, you'll need to drag and drop tracks until they are.
    Once the ordering is as desired, right->click on the playlist and choose Copy to Play Order. Then resync the playlist over to your iPod.

  • Adobe Flash Player 10 when installed closes the whole computer as soon as it is selected to 'play' a video clip from U Tube or any other source, I have uninstalled it and the problem goes away but I cannot play the clip.any answers?

    Adobe Flash Player 10, when installed, closes the whole computer when it is used to play any clip from U Tube or other source. I uninstalled it and there was no further trouble but, of course, I cannot view the clip. If I reinstall it the same problem persists. I have contacted my 'computer guru' but his comment is that many of his clients have the same problem but it appears to be a problem with Adobe however many other friends have put in the version 10 Flash Player and have no problems. I do not appear to have any other problems with the computer such as viruses etc and it is scanned very day for such items. I would appreciate any advice you can give as it is very annoying, thanks, RAB

    Me too!
    On both IE8 and Firefox. Win 7 32 bit on IBM T42 - 1GB ram.
    Old laptop I know but the 10.1.x.x Flash Players worked just fine. Problem started with 10.2.152.26 flash player.
    Now BBC TV live and iPlayer work just fine, however YouTube does not - audio but no video. Just a black rectangle where the video should be.
    Right click to get the menu and "settings" is greyed out. However select the pop-out option and the video plays. Right click on the pop-out and "settings" is available. So deselect "enable hardware acceleration", close the pop-out and refresh the window (F5) and now YouTube videos play. Switch hardware acceleration back on and now they don't.
    This video works fine with hardware acceleration enabled. http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/features/video/h264/
    These also work. http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/stagevideo.html
    Something broken in 10.2, I think.

  • Error playing media clip in Adobe Reader X (10.1.0)

    Hi,
    A pdf, which was sent to me, has embedded media clips. However, when I try to play these clips a JavaScript error message comes up saying 'Acrobat has encountered an error while playing this media clip'. The document was probably created in an old version of adobe and therefore I'm wondering if this is the reason why the media files fail to play in the latest version  (10.1.0)?
    I am using windows vista. I have uninstalled and re-installed the adobe reader and also tried playing the clips when the firewalls are down but neither of these things have helped.
    Any help or tips would be really appreciated.
    Many thanks
    Nikki

    I am having the same problem.  Win 7 or Win XP doesn't matter the problems seems to be with Adobe 10.1.0.  Works ok with Word, but not adobe reader.  Doesn't un-collate if the box is checked.  Tried to unchecked then recheck.  Use to work but now it doesn't.

  • Can I play video clips that have been saved onto a thumbdrive on an iPad without saving the clips to the iPad first?

    You can't.

  • IMovie will not import or play the clips at the proper speed and the audio and video do not match up.

    i have a samsung hd camcorder. it records at 40 fps, but iMovie will not play the clips at the proper speed and the audio and video do not match up. I have tried to record at standard quality to no avail. Help. thanks in advance.

    samsung sc-hmx10c     ntsc
    im guessing that is the speed it records at due to the fact imovie puts a blue 40 at the top left corner of every clip i import.

     The Nokia 3720 classic is a IP54 level water,
    Not even close to good enough, LCD screen will crack, water will go in through the jack/charger ports..
    The phone i describe has no external ports just 4-5 little pins which can't let water in or out of the device, the docking station will connect via these 4 - 5 pins for data transfer and recharging...., IPX8 standard, all the electronics are epxoyed with a glue to stop real bad shocks from drops and bangs, along with a silicon case and all the other preventative meausres means this little phone is going to outlive you.
    in combination with heart rate external bluetooth connection, really what more could you want... only the Sonim comes close in terms of perfection but if it managed to pack all of above, then it would be simply wow... I don't think there's enough people who work for nokia who actually go camping, backpacking, hiking, i'm pretty sure that if i told them one day
    on a holiday you might drop your phone into the swimming pool, ok fine it's a mistake but damn, there goes your $$$$ N7 or N900 or even a HTC or Iphone.... not this, you'd yell to the first person you see in the pool, hey mate can i have my phone back, don't worry about the water damage, i'll get it back on insurance after a small lie stopping the person from running off with it (in fear of the now useless mobile phoned killed by water, making an attempt to steal be useless)
    The person gets their phone back and carries on about his day, it drops out of your pocket, how many times you ran over it because you happened to leave it behind the back tire. oh no i ran over my phone, the tough casing and the epoxy keeping it nice and safe, except for superficial damage cosmetic, the screen and phone should be working still able to make that call or send out GPS info....
    Sorry nothing comes close by any company (except Sonim) in terms of what they can do... maybe even a portable charger turn it to recharge like on LED dynamos. nah maybe not.
