I am thinking of purchasing a Playbook for Real Estate and need to know ... Is there - Or will there be a READER APP for Playbook that will read ' QR " Codes if so... Where can I download it or how do I attain it.  Thanks

How long to get the Adobe Reader app for Android will support JavaScript code? In addition to the password, I need to put the expiration day on my PDFs to close the backdoor.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Many thanks for getting back to me.  A reset all fields would certainly
save a great deal of time on forms that are used over and over!
Something else that I've noticed is the fact that when you flick through
the pages of .pdf documents, there are sometimes white blank pages.  You
need to scroll back and forth to get them all to load and sometimes even
after they have loaded, when you scroll back and forth again other pages
    are blank.
I am using the latest Samsung Note Pro tablet with 2 x quad core
processors so I can't blame outdated technology.
Do you have any ideas as to how to solve this problem?
Many thanks again for your help.

  • Does anyone know of an e-reader app for the iphone that has text to speech capability? I have a Kindle 3G that can read whole pdf documents and books but I cannot figure out how to do it on my iphone 4.

Does anyone know of an e-reader app for the iphone that has text to speech capability? I have a Kindle 3G that can read whole pdf documents and books but I cannot figure out how to do it on my iphone 4.
All of the apps I have found on the App store either do not have the text to speech capability or if they have it they will only read a page at a time or simply read the text you paste into their window. I really do not understand what is so difficult about having this feature as Kindle provides it--though Amazon does not make the feature available on its iPhone 4 app.
    Please help.

thanks. yes i am aware of the VoiceOver feature but it is NOT the solution to my problem. as you said, it is a solution to a different set of issues. i want the text to speech ability because i there are books i need to read but do not have the time to sit down and read them and have become used to listening to them read to me either by a professional human reader or with the text to speech software on the Kindle.
I think Apple makes the best audio devices but i am really disappointed in this inexplainable shortcoming. if apple can give us siri they ought to be able to design a nice little button that i can push to turn on text to speech while i am in a document, book, magazine or webpage. clearly it is possible as apple has added the "reader" button in safari to have web pages dropped into the reader format.
thanks for your suggestion though, it is what everyone suggests but it does not address the issue.

I cannot find the Kindle reader app for iPad and when I click on the link from Amazon there is an error on iTunes

Are you in the US?  Not all apps are available in all countries.  There is no way to download anything from a website, like Kindle.  If it's not in your App Store, you won't be able to have it.

can the knfb reader app, for the blind ,  be shared

    Hello Marlis,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
If you view the app in the iTunes Store by selecting "View in iTunes" in the link below, under the Information pane you can indicate whether the app is able to be shared via Family Sharing.  For the app you are asking about, it does appear Family Sharing is enabled for it.

  • Adobe reader App for iPhone 5

How can I shutdown the "page tag" when read/roll the pages in the Adobe Reader App for iPhone? Anyone got an idea?

Thanks for your quick replies; and yes I relized that the page number goes away in about 2 seconds. However I thoght you could do manually in the settings. When showing for example pictures (I have my portfolio in pdf-format) it is a little bit annoying to have the page number displayed since the screen is not that big. Anyway, not a big deal. However Adobe could consider to add one more buttom in order to let you decied on your own. Thanks

  • Can Someone Please Help Me Create a Blog Reader App For My Blog?

Hi ! I am trying to create a blog reader app by using RSS feed for my blog. I found this tutorial on MSDN here Create a Blog Reader using C# and XAML
But the problem is, it says some parts will not work with VS 2013. I even tried to follow each step of the tutorial but get stuck with some "navigation parameter" type-casted to a class. I couldn't understand what do I replace that with as it was
never declared earlier somewhere. Can someone help me with the code? Please, I will be very thankful.
I am using VS 2013 Community update 4 and Windows 8.1

  • Webmail Reading Apps for BB10

i looked many ways to activate my company mail on BB10 but failed due nil active sync fecility.. my company will support only webmail access. we can setup company emails on all the BB mobiles except BB10.. because of OWA support available except BB10.
while searching apps for webmail reading.. i found one app for iphone which is working perfectly.. "Webmail Reader "
why BB10 not releasing such kind of apps for webmail readers ?
BB experts ! is there any way,  we can build apps for our own devices ?
    thanks
    Sharif

EAS is better than OWA. With OWA, you could have email only...with EAS, you can also have contacts and calendar. Given the simplicity of activating EAS on an existing OWA server, it seems the choice was made to remove a bit of complexity (support for OWA) in favor of an easy to install more robust connectivity method. I remain with my suggestion that you talk to your OWA system admins about enabling EAS onto the existing server.
    Good luck!

  • Set default printer in free Reader app for Windows 8?

Is it possible to set a default printer for the free Reader app?  We're new to Windows 8.  We set our HP as the default printer in the windows control panel, and the setting works for our other programs like word and IE, but the Reader app forces us to choose the HP printer every time we try to print a doc.  We have to click the More options and choose the printer from the list.  OneNote and the MS Document writer come up first in the list, and we don't use either of these.

Photoshop CS4 uses an old (introduced in Win16?) printing API that limits the printer name length to 30 or 31 characters. With your printer name, that gets you halfway into "Series" and anything past that will be ignored.
The simple solution is to rename your printer to something shorter. Go into the control panel, printers and faxes, and right-click on the printer and choose "Rename" and rename the printer. That should resolve the problem.

  • Function in free Adobe Reader apps for iPad (highlight pen)

I wonder for the free Adobe Reader apps that I can found in Apps Store. Do its function are the same as those normal Adobe Reader, which is designed for using on PC / laptop? Any function in the free Adobe Reader apps will be missing due to the design? I wanna to know for the most important function in Adobe Reader for myself, the highlight pen function. Will it be able for me to have this function for the free Adobe Reader apps?
    Thank you

For simple things you can try yourself, it's generally quicker to just do that. Now that someone has already moved your post maybe you'll get a reply within a day or two, anyway.

  • Reader app for the iPhone

What is a good app for the iPhone that allows users to read PDFs?
Specifically, I have a form that I created in LiveCycle, and folks cannot read the completed form on their iPhones. (I posted a questions about this on the LiveCycle forum, but never got an answer.)
    Thank you!
    Cindy

One of our people in the field told me that he could open the completed form on his iPhone and read it, and he did so with Reader.
I'm going to try to install that on the other iPhone and see if it works.
Now, if it works, does that mean that I didn't create a XFA form?
    Thank you!
    Cindy

Im trying to find an app to use for e-books from public library and other free e-book resources. I am not ready to update to Mavericks which uses ibook app because I am waiting for some of the glitches ie printing, accessibility - dragon dicitate and all the  problems reported by the support community discussions.
Personally I am not happy with ios 7 changes and I am reluctant to upgrade mac notebook and desktop. So I am being very cautious to make mac os changes especially when my printer being older model may or may not work and reports of dragon dictate, ms office and all the programs that are costly to replace.
I have vision problems and he ability to read an e-book both on and off line on a large screen would open a world of possibilies. While I like audiobooks nothing replaces seeing the words on a page and reading them to myself !
So when recommending an app please let me know how well it can increase font size, differentiate colors, and bookmark pages.
The ease of scolling and pagination in an e-book is important with my handicap.
I am financially unable to invest in purchasing apps that are more then $5.00 nor am I am to buy an e-reader like an ipad or other brands.
I know I could use a pdf app but the page flow of a pdf file is not visually appealing. I also find it hard to find where I left off reading.
Thank you in advance for your help

Thanks very much. That fixed the problem.
    Best Regards
