PLD export to another Database with 8.8

HI Experts,
I looked at the Delta Training on the changes on the PLD and Crystal reports. I want to know how to export a PLD to another database, but did not see where the original file (.b1p) will be stored.
I need this to enable me to use the Report and Layout Import wizard.
Any help will be appreciated.
Marli

Hi Marli
yes u can transfer with the Use of Copy Express Addon Given by Sap itself .
Run Copy express....>File...>New Work Sheet ....>enter ur the company user id and pwsd for  base company ....> then OK .
select customization -
>Print Layouts...>Documents & report click on this and list of plds vill appear select the layout which u need to transfer to another database and  go to File menu and save configuration as Xml file ..
Take the back up of the target company before  transfering the layout
After that from the same file menu click on Copy configuration to target company  file &  enter the id and pswd now the layout vil be transferred and after finishing copying a message will be populated as copy process is completed .so now open ur transferred datbase and see ur layout has come r not ....
cheers

    "All the info"?  Or just the PIM data?
    If you want to Export the database information in Contacts or the Calendar, use Palm Desktop's "Export" function.  Open Contacts, choose File/Export to save the info to a file.
    This can then be "Imported" by the other Centro's Palm Desktop, whether on another computer, or another Hotsync User Name on the same computer.

  • Export whole database with all stored data

    how can i export the whole database with all tables, sequences, views etc to a textfile and then import it again? it should contain all availabe data.
    thank you.

    Joshua,
    You can use the Data Pump import and export utilities to export and import an entire database (or traditional import and export utilities if pre-10g database).

    The export is not to a text file, though.

  • Help on export sybase iq tables with data and import in another database ?

    Help on export Sybase iq 16 tables with data and import into another database ?

    Hi Nilesh,
    If you have table/index create commands (DDLs), you can create them in Developper and import data using one of methods below
    Extract/ Load table
    Insert location method : require IQ servers to be entered in interfaces file
    Backup/Restore : copy entire database content
    If you have not the DDLs, you can generate them using IQ cockpit or SCC.

  • Exporting Folios to share with another developer?

    I did the major development on the folio for my team and now I need to hand it over to a collegaue to finish the job of publishing it. But I cannot figure out how to share it with them. If I share the folio through the Dashboard, they don't have access to publish it. If I export the folio form the Dashboard I get a zip file that InDesign doesn't seem to want to import.
    How do I package the files up and give them to someone else to work with?
    Thanks.
    Josh.

    That is essentially saying you have to rebuild the entire publication from scratch in InDesign.  Is there no way to hand the finished document over to someone else to simple publish it???

  • Question on Exporting Table Stats to another database

    I have a question exporting Table Stats from one schema in database A to another schema in another database B.
    Currently running Oracle 9.0.2.6 for unix in both prod and dev.
    Currently table stats are gathered using the ANALYZE TABLE command. We currently don't use the DBMS_STATS package to gather table statistics.
    Question:
    If I execute DBMS_STATS.EXPORT_TABLE_STATS in database A can I import them to database B if I'm only using the ANALYZE TABLE to gather table stats? Do I need to execute the DBMS_STATS.GATHER_TABLE_STATS package in database A prior to excuting DBMS_STATS.EXPORT_TABLE_STATS ?
    The overall goal is to take table stats from Production in its current state and import them into a Development environment to be used for testing data / processes.
    Yes we will be upgrading to Oracle 10 / 11g in near future.
    Yes we will be changing our method of gathering table stats by using the DBMS_STATS package.
    Thanks,
    Russ D

    Hi,
    If I execute DBMS_STATS.EXPORT_TABLE_STATS in database A can I import them to database B if I'm only using the ANALYZE TABLE to gather table stats? You need using the DBMS_STAT package for get and export statistics process if you want migrate the stats to other database.
    Do I need to execute the DBMS_STATS.GATHER_TABLE_STATS package in database A prior to excuting DBMS_STATS.EXPORT_TABLE_STATS ?Yes, you need executing first DBMS_STATS.GATHER_TABLE_STATS.
    Good luck.

  • Join file column with column in another database

    Hi all,
    I am trying to do a join between a column in a file I've imported into the BI Server with a column from a Oracle database table in the BI server, but I only get the error:
    *[NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 16001] ODBC error state: 37000 code: -3554 message: [Microsoft][ODBC Text Driver] Syntax error in ALTER TABLE statement.. [nQSError: 16015] SQL statement execution failed. (HY000)*
    Joining columns between other files works but not when joining with another database table.The log seems OK, it executes the 2 SQL queries as it should but it cannot join the values in the BI Server memory (it seems). VARCHAR field, but I tried with several different types.
    Any help appreciated.

    There are many ways of doing this, you could potentially use a Dates table to help you out but the comparison between your Excel report and the Oracle table would be pretty straightforward with just 1 calculated column / just a true&false calc column
    so you can filter it would be nice.
    The dates table can help you so you can only get always the dates from the current month. You can read more about that in the following
    Link
    Hope this helps!

  • Clone database with backup sets from another server

    Hi, I want to clone a database in Host A with a backup set stored in Host B.
    My script in Host A (where i want the cloned DB to be created) is as follows:
    ORACLE_SID=test8; export ORACLE_SID
    rman target sys/XXX@OriginalDB_in_HostB catalog prodifs/prodifs@CatalogDB_in_HostB
    connect auxiliary / ;
    configure channel device type disk clear;
    configure default device type to disk;
    configure device type disk parallelism 3;
    run{
    set until scn 317776086;
    set newname for datafile 1 to '/o2/oradata/test8/system01.dbf';
    set newname for datafile 2 to '/o2/oradata/test8/undotbs01.dbf';
    duplicate target database to test8
    logfile
    group 1 ('/o1/oradata/test8/redo0101.rdo','/o2/oradata/test8/redo0102.rdo') size 104858112,
    group 2....;
    How do I specify in this script that backup files to be restored are not saved in current Host (A) but in Host B? Is it something that i should edit in the "configure channel" sentence ?
    A workaround for this is to copy all backup files from HostB to the same location in HostA but I would prefer to do it in a more elegant way. Thanks and regards,
    Leandro

  • Primavera P6 migrating Database to another instance with migrate.sh

    I want to migrate an existing Primavera P6 Database to another instance.
    What I have done so far.
    I fully backed up the database with expdp and impdp, but I get an error while trying to connect with admuser (maybe because its not existing).
    So I did not take more time in that.
    Later I wanted to use the migrate.sh Tool which looked not that hard to do, because it only needs the credentials and Database connection Information.
    The Database is large, that means over 14GB so I tried several times and the migrate.sh tool gives me after hours SQLExceptions.
    So what should be the Problem?
    Maybe the session time?
    How to change?

    Thank you for your quick reply.
    Ok I will do the impdp import.
    I found an db script: orpm_create_users.sql which will do the creation of all users.
    But before I do that I got an error in the migrate.sh which says:
    "Error in Run SQL Script orpm_ins_aux.sql : DatabaseToolException (ORA-02298: cannot validate (ADMUSER.FK_UPLIST_USESSION) - parent keys not found)
    Do somebody has an idea for that?
    I will post my impdp import after Ive done it...
