Please, I need a Eudora mail expert

I need to transfer inbox/outbox and address book from my old eMac to my new iMac. No one at Apple has even heard of Eudora. I have read and tried what the Eudora tech paper says to do. When I try to open it in Mail on the new iMac, there is nothing in my inbox. Eudora has transferred but no data.

If you haven't had any luck finding a direct solution, I have a workaround to suggest.
1. Sign up for a free web email account with Gmail or Hotmail.
2. Forward all of your old emails to that new email address. (Or, if you have years of email in many folder, you could forward it in stages, one folder at a time, as you work through these steps.)
3. Set up the email address you regularly use in Apple Mail.
4. Set up the web email address you signed up in Mail.
5. Now you should be able to drag your emails and folders from Gmail/Hotmail into your regular account. (I believe you will be able to drag entire folders full of mail at a time.) Recreate your folder structure as you want it.
6. Repeat steps 2 & 5 as necessary if you chose to go in stages.
7. Now check to make sure all the email you want to keep is located in your regular account under the On My Mac heading on the sidebar.
8. If you no longer want it, you can now safely delete the webmail account from Mail and delete your account with Gmail/Hotmail.
This should get you all the old email, including attachments. You will be listed as the sender for all email, because they will all be forwards, but at least you'll have them.
