Plot graph -y values versus timestamp stored in txt files

Dear all,
i have a set of measurement results that i saved in text file. First and second column are timestamp values while third and fourth values are results from my two sensors. Mayi know can anyhow help to extract these results and plot them onto a graph or xy graph? I have problem plotting the timestamp results (x axis) onto the graph.
I have attach sample of the text files. Thanks for your help!

Dear all,
I have the same set of data but it is saved in excel format instead of text file now. However i think the column data are separated by tab, i have tried to use the same code as above but it dont seem to plot out the graph properly. Can anyone help out?

Hi,
I'm trying to plot a graph which consists of timestamps and temperature. I initially polled the information from my gsm modem as sms text message and extracted the temperature values as numeric and timestamps as a string but to plot temperature against time i would need to have them both as numerical values and my time stamp is a string value i.e. 14:59:32. Ive tried changing the timestamp value to a numerical value but it rounds it up to 15 which isnt helpful as i have 3 15 values in now for different times :-( . Any help would be much appreciated?

Scatter plot graphs, more than 2 series possible?

It's been very difficult for me to put 3 or 4 series of data in scatter graphs and connect the dots with lines as in Excel, it just doesn't allow me. I made a graph before using line graph model but it turns out that in the x axis (which in this case is time in weeks) I need to show the distance proportionally (i.e. 0,2,6,12 and 16 weeks) and I can't find how to do it with a simple line graph. Tried in excel and is easy using the scatter plot graph (very simple, using exactly the same data arrangement). But numbers does not accept the series of data (it only accepts X,Y per series) and in second place there is not lines connecting the dots. Any of you guys have a suggestion?. I'd really prefer to use numbers bit do not why is so difficult to scatter graph the data. Thanks

The default for X-Y pairs can actually be pretty handy, though often it is not. You can easily turn it into one X and a bunch of Y's. Connecting lines are also available.
My assumption from your post is you have a column of X values and several columns of Y values.
1) All data for a scatter plot must be in "normal" data cells, none in header cells.
2) Select all the X & Y data and create a scatter chart.
3) There is a "gear" at the top left of the colored box in the table that indicates the data in the chart. Click it and choose to share X values. Now you should have one column labeled "X" and several labeled "Y" and your chart will show each Y as a separate series.
4) With the chart selected (the whole chart, not one of the series), go to the Chart tab of the inspector, go to the series tab, look for the words "connect points" and choose what kind of line you want to connect the points. Alternatively or additionally, you could make trendline curves by clicking on "advanced". Also, you can do them one at a time and choose different settings for each series by selecting each series separately.
If you have gaps in your Y data, it will not connect the points on either side of the gap, you will have a missing line segment.
If your X data is unsorted, some connecting lines may go right-to-left, not left-to-right.

When you do this, there is no fundamental difference between "08:00:00" and "here's your sign".
Data should always be stored in the correct data type. For dates and times, that data type is either DATE or TIMESTAMP. Period.
in this format: 08:00:00

How do we get millisecond values from timestamp column in v$logmnr_contents.
I tried with following query.
select scn,To_Char(timestamp,'DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS:FF') from v$logmnr_contents WHERE OPERATION NOT IN('START') and username ='SCOTT' and sql_redo is not null and (seg_owner is null or seg_owner not in('SYS'));
it says ORA-01821: date format not recognized. I want to find the relation of scn with timestamp. In forums i found, scn is derived from timestamp value. I dont know its correct or not.
if i query with out FF in time format i get like

May be there's an easy way solving your problem, I did it like that:
CREATE TABLE quota_test (test VARCHAR2(50))

Trying to get a return value from a Stored Procedure

Hi folks,
I have been tasked with something I thought was simple, but apparently its not that simple. I am trying to call a Stored Procedure in UCCX that will do some calculations and returns back an integer value. The stored procedure call I have is:
DECLARE @return_status int
EXEC @return_status = dbo.CTTLoginPhone @CTTId = $EmployeeID , @PIN = $EmployeePIN , @PhoneNumber = $CallingPhoneNumber ;SELECT 'Return_Status' = @return_status
When I run this in this the editor, I get back one row. If I run this in the debugger, I do not get any errors back and the stored procedure runs fine, however the Return_Status is not set either. What am I doing wrong?
I have defined Return_Status with intial value of 0 and the stored proc should be returning back 1 or 2, but the Return_Status remains as 0
Can someone please let me know if I need a DB GET after a DB READ or can I just use the DB READ standalone when calling stored procedure.
All help will be really appreciated.

I am getting 1 row returned when I click "TEST" in the READ step but the DB GET step is going into the SQL Error branch.
Here are some details and I have attached screen shots of my script DB steps.....

i need to know where i am going wrong with the below code. I am trying to get a value from a stored procedure. the return type is int. The stored procedure works fine as i've debugged it. The variable have been declared correctly.

According the [ *setString*|http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/sql/CallableStatement.html#setString(java.lang.String,%20java.lang.String)] method of the [*CallableStatement*|http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/sql/CallableStatement.html] interface, the first parameter must be a parameter name and not an ordinal position index !!!
Edit : I've just found out the solution, it must be :

How do I return two values from a
stored procedure into an "Execute SQL Task" please? Each of these two values need to be populated into an SSIS variable for later processing, e.g. StartDate and EndDate.
Thinking about stored procedure output parameters for example. Is there anything special I need to bear in mind to ensure that the SSIS variables are populated with the updated stored procedure output parameter values?
Something like ?

Below execute statement should work along the parameter mapping which you have provided. Also try specifying the parameter size property as default.
Exec [etl].[ConvertPeriodToStartAndEndDate] ?,?,? output, ? output
Add a script task to check ssis variables values using,
Msgbox(Dts.Variables("User::strExtractStartDate").Value)
Do not forget to add the property "readOnlyVariables" as strExtractStartDate variable to check for only one variable.

Creating a view on two ODS using the most actual value of Timestamp

Hi All,
I am creating a view on two ODS. I have made an internal join of the field timestamp from both the tables. But the timestamp in bot ODS do not match, which is why there is no data visible in the view.
There is a requirement that the value of timestamp to be used has to be the most actual value of timestamp from the two ODS.
I would be grateful if some pointers regarding the same could be provided.

Hi Shruti,
ODS should not be linked on Timestamp basis, there must be some other alternatives like document number, date etc etc...
In other case if its possible to include addtional key figure in to ODS then
create a dummy key figure , in the aggregation tab page Select Exception aggregate as "Last Value" and in the "agg.ref char" Select time stamp as info object. This setting will make sure that in the ODS you have only last updated data.

Multi plot graph - auxiliary curves

I am in trouble with a multi plot graph. There is a wave chart that I have to plot an auxiliary line when the user clicks on the graphic. I know how to get the initial point and the final point of the auxiliar line. But I don´t know how can I plot this line in the same graph.
Any ideas, sugestions or examples?

Why won't my data appear on my scatter plot graph in numbers?

I'm making a scatter plot graph and I'm dealing with very small numbers on my x-axis, such as 0.0004 and 0.184 on my y-axis. Every time I plot the scatter plot graph, nothing appears on the graph. Can anyone please help me? Thanks.

Analysing waveform for digital values stored in a file

i have certain digitals values obtained in a file in .txt format.
i have to obtain a waveform by giving the input as these digital values in that file.
I have programmed for array input manually.
But the waveform analysis should be made such that it do analyze automatically by taking the values stored in the file.
The values are stored as like follows-
0.00159
0.01432
0.01654
0.15432
etc
Give me a module to do this task.

Use the Read from Spreadsheet file and then just connect it to a waveform chart. This will do what you need. Post back.

MULTIPLE VALUES PASSING TO STORED PROCEDURE

I have a following stored procedure, I am passing two parameters from the drop down list by using a different dataset. User is selecting multiple values from drop down list in reporting services from
code a drop down and code b drop down.
I have put the JOIN(Parameters!qual_codea.Value,",") in dataset property for both parameters. But it is only displaying first row in the report. In report I have used simple table and Drag Total, Qualification Code A and Qualification Code B in
three columns respectively.
Any Idea why it is not displaying the remaining data for other codes selectedfrom drop down. If i run a query in management studio by using in operation with multiple codes, it display multiple rows which is correct but it is not happening in reporting services.

I'm using Visual Studio 2010, what I want to do is written in the title.
so far i was able read and plot graph on a Form but i unable to use the same method on Crystal Reporting.
The method plotting in Crystal Reporting is complicated and it require a fix data set or database which is not suitable for my case because every time the number of column and row or data will be different. (this is what i think base on what i found)
is there a way for me to display the output on a ms words?
and what is the method.
