  • To close the unclosed production orders without imbalancing with invoice

    Hi MRP Experts,
I want solution for following situation.
Mrp was not implemeted during software implementation.
    Now we need to implement.
But since manual production entry was not done according to invoice there is no link between them.
At present i have unclosed production orders which was actually manually closed and at present if i try to close it it might show imbalance during the mrp implementation with respect to mismatch in date.
Please give me some suggestions to close the unclosed production orders without imbalancing
    Thanks and regards,
    Tejaswini

    Hi,
Once the production order is active then only these orders will be considered for MRP.
So, you go with setting the System Status of the Orders with TECO.
Select your Orders and in the Transaction: COHV you can do the Mass processing for TECO.
TECO status will not look for production order settlement etc..
You enter the demand and execute MRP..
Planned orders will be genearted, convert them to Prod. Orders work on those orders..
But it is same as having prod. orders earlier to MRP or Creating fresh production orders..
System will calculate the Net requirements first in the MRP, so ther will not be inconsistencies..
    Revert for further discussion..

  • Closing MBP Without Sleep With External Display

    Greetings.
I have just hooked up a Dell 23" flatscreen display to my Macbook Pro. Everything works great... connected it via the DVI cable and it worked immediately.
I'd like to be able to turn on my MBP and use the large display exclusively, meaning I want to be able to close the MBP without it sleeping. I have put my Energy Saver preferences on "Never" for the display and computer itself, but those options do not work.
What is the protocol for closing the MBP after startup so that I may use my display without the whole thing going to sleep?
Oddly, I was able to "trick" the MBP into closing at one point; I shut the clamshell, it fell asleep along with the Dell 23", then I reopened it just slightly to where it would awake again. Then I used the display for a little while and shut the MBP clamshell again and the 23 still worked while the MBP was closed. Not sure how/why it worked, and I have not been able to duplicate it.
The split screen option is neat, as far as like the MBP being on the left and the 23" being on the right, but I don't need it, and my desk is too small anyway.
How can I achieve MBP sleep while it is still powering my big display?
    Thanks,
    C

  • Invoice blocked for payment without GRN(MRBR)

    Hi all,
I need to have a report which should show the details of  invoices blocked for payment and which dont have any GRN means Invoice is generated without GRN and hasbeen blocked because of either of quantity or price difference.
For the same I tried to use MRBR report but it is showing all the invoices blocked but what I need is invoice generated and blocked for payment without having a GRN as base document.

    Hi,
You can use ME2L but in MRBR report better use filter and sort documents by blocking reason R1 (Missing GRN), this should solve your purpose.
Hope this helps you. Any point?

  • Closing AP Period without Sweeping unaccounted invoices or payments

    Hello,
Is there a way to close the period in Payables without sweeping unaccounted invoices or payments for that period?
    Thanks,
    Vikram

The invoice was not validated, thus I think Oracle allows us to close a period if the invoice is not validate.I'm assuming you are on R12 and using Accural basis accounting. I don't think it allows to close even the invoice is not validated.
Event Status Code will be Incomplete at that time.
The AP period close will be stopped, when there are any Unaccounted / Incomplete Events or Untransferred Accounting Journals.
There may be some issue in system, when you did it. Anyway as mentioned above the better option (cleaner approach) would be:
Reverse this journal. Re-open May and create accounting. Post everything to GL. Now you can close Nov.By

  • AP Credit Memo Without Outgoing Excise Invoice

    Hi ,
When we create an A/P Invoice for an excise item ,and then when we raise an A/P credit memo for the same .. Automatically an Outgoing Excise Invoice is created ...Now because of this the series of the outgoing excise invoice , which is created usally through sales is disrupted and its a legal issue over here .. So Can you please let me know if there is any other way to raise the A/P credit memo without the OEI being created .. The exicable tick does not work as we are not able to change the Tax code from the A/P credit memo.
Thank you for your answers and suggestions ,
    Best Regards ,
    Arul..

This is a limitation with SAP Business One.
What we do as a workaround is, create a seperate numbering Series for 'Outgoing Excise Invoice' say 'APRet' and set this series as default to some user say 'Raman'
While booking 'AP Credit Memo' we login with user 'Raman' and book the document and in turn it uses 'APRet' series for 'Outgoing Excise Invoice' without violating legal issues.
Hope this would solve your problem.

  • Automatic release of blocked Invoices

Note - Posted this qns in Financial forum & the user suggested to post the same question in this forum.
    Hi All,
Scenario - A PO is placed with GR based IV unchecked. The vendor is sending the material & invoice to us. But the material is to arrive from overseas & hence there is a delay, but in the meantime i have posted the invoice in the system & the system blocks this invoice. I can check the blocked invoices in MRBR. At the moment to release it, i would have to use transaction MRBR, but I would like to know is there anyway, that the system can be configured to automatically release this blocked invoice, once the GR for that material is done, without me having to use any t-code?
    Vivek

    Hi Steve,
There are 3 blocking reasons in MRBR,
    1. Blocked due to variances
    2. Manual Payment Block
    3. Stochastically blocked
In this case, what is the reason for blocking?. If it is reason 1, then if i schedule a MRBR with automatic release, then would it release all those invoices as well which have been blocked due to price variation? or would it only release those Invoices which have been blocked due to non-receipt of GR?
Also would like to know, is there anything in customizing, where i can define, say if the Purchase Order has got a Shipping Notification control key entered, then release this invoice?
In customizing Financial Accouting -> Accounts Receivable & Accnts Payable -> Business Transaction -> Release payment
Would this be of any help to me for resolving the issue at hand?

  • My tabs are seperated into groups. Once I accidentaly opened a site in a new window (not a new tab). After that, I accidentaly closed the Firefox window with all my grouped tabs. Now, I can't recover it. Are there any solutions?

I have my tabs seperated into several groups (for example, bank tabs, music tabs, social life tabs and so on). I do this with the help of the button in the top left corner. While I was surfing the internet, I accidentaly opened a site not in a new tab (as I usually do), but in a new window. The new window was without all the grouped tabs, which I had in the previous Firefox window. And then I accidentaly closed the Firefox window with all my grouped tabs. Now I can't recover it. Are there any solutions?

    Hi,
We have rolled out a fix for this issue.
Please log off and log back in to your machine and the issue should be resolved automatically. In case that does not work, please manually run the msi installer posted here (may require reboot).

  • [SOLVED] FLASH and Mplayer automatic fasforward playing with no sound

    Hi,
This has been the second time it happened.
When I was playing some video at the background with SMplayer. All in a sudden, the playing stopped. I closed and restarted it:
last time: the video  fast-forwarded automatically without any sound, same problem with VLC;  [the problem got "fixed" only after I rebooted my host Window 7; restarting the archlinux guest didn't help.]
this time: VLC (there was an update in between) can play at a normal speed, but still no sound; as for smplayer, no sound, fastforwading automatically.
And, in both times, flash in firefox fast-forwarded automatically with no sound.
I have Archlinux/Xfce4 in virtualbox hosted by Windows 7. I have been using it for about one month. The problem occurred in last two days.
    Thanks,

  • Can't the old threads closed automatically?

    Hi,
I am just thinking why can't the old threads closed automatically?
There are lot of old threads which might got resolved OR might not have proper responses, appearing in every forum.
If we have a functionality which close the thread with a tag "Expired" after 5 days (from the query raised date), that can help all of the volunteers.
I do not see any benefit in keeping those threads active!
    Regards,
    Nick Loy

If you work in a bigger company, then 5 days are almost nothing.
SAP has such a nice CHarm process to make the environment secure, that means you cant even start developing something without having an approved change request. Not to talk about testing.
Of course there are discussions which can be be closed immediately, others need weeks, some months.  I still get some helpful and correct answer points from answers I had given years ago.
Without the "automatic" closure, you actually have evidence if the user takes care about his stuff or not, the auto closure makes this unresponsive user just look equal to someone who cares. Even more bad.  There is no real filter function in SCN to search only for answered questions, and you would miss a lot answered discussions which are not techncially marked answered.
I actually had some spare time last weekend, and I reviewed ANY discussions posted between May 15 and May 30 in the MM forum having an answer and have not been closed  . I wrote a single direct message and included all OPs into the distribution list:
You posted a question in SCN MM forum in last week of May. This question is still open despite of many answers. Is the issue really open and you don't follow up on it? If not open then please close your discussion. If you found the solution yourself, then share it. Check out the blog post 'How to close a discussion and why' in SCN.
Yes I had some good responses to the direct message. Yes some of them have closed their discussion from May, quite a few posted a solution. Some do not understand at all what "correct answer" actually means and marked their own "thank you" as correct answer. And some others which are already known as careless did neither respond nor close any of their discussions, they are just going on and posting the next question.

  • Customer Disputes not closing automatically

    Hi,
I am currently checking an issue why my customer disputed items are not closing automatically after the invoices have been paid.
    - The regular financial disputes close automatically
    - The casy type and the correct status profile
    - the status profile is set to close directly from new status to to be collected / then closed
    - The status profile has changed after initial set up
    - I ran the process bufffer program and no result, the disputes are still open.
    - We have activate the customer disputed objects properly as far as i can see.
    Thanks for the assist
    regards',
    Richard

I concur with the mesgs above that for customer disputed cases, it gives additional time for AR analysts to investigate the claims. And if it actually turns out to be a dispute, then eventually it will result in creation of AR residual and in turn a Dispute case.
In scenario mentioned of multiple disputes for the same invoice, you need not have multiple dispute cases open, unless its a specific business requirement. You anyways have the disputed amount and current disputed amount filled correctly and make appropriate use of reason code and root cause code to depict this scenario in just one dispute case itself.
However if you still want to create more than one dispute case for the same AR item, in that case, please either use the splitting functionality to accurately depict the disputes in AR as well as FSCM.

  • Purchase Order with Invoice Plan

    Hi,
I need to understand working with Invoicing plans for a Purchase Order. Especially the service PO for the rents and other related services.
How the PO is linked to the Invoice Plan and how the process happens in SAP?
    Thanks in advance!

    Creating an Invoicing Plan
The following procedure describes how to create an invoicing plan with the pre-Enjoy ordering transactions (ME21, ME22, ME23).
The procedure described is also applicable u2013 with certain restrictions u2013 to the Enjoy purchase order (ME21N, ME22N, ME23N).
If you are using the Enjoy purchase order, you will find:
    ·         The Invoicing Plan button and the indicators for GR-based invoice verification (GR-Based IV), service-based invoice verification (Srv.-Based IV), evaluated receipt settlement (ERS), and invoice receipt (Inv. Receipt) among the item details on the Invoice tab page.
    ·         The account assignment among the item details on the Account Assignment tab page
    ·         The Goods Receipt and GR Non-Valuatedindicators among the item details on the Delivery tab page
    Prerequisites
    Vendor Master Record
Before you can use the invoicing plan with automatic settlement, the Evaluated Receipt Settlement Delivery indicator must be set on the Purchasing Data screen in the vendor master record.
(If you wish to enter invoicing dates manually, this is not necessary.)
    Purchase Order
    ●     We recommend using a framework order (that is a purchase order with a validity period and a reason for rejection). The invoicing plan can adopt the validity period specified in the PO header.
    ●     PO items for which you wish to use an invoicing plan must have account assignment irrespective of whether a material with a master record, a material described by a short text, or an external service is involved.
    ●     The GR/IR control facility must be set up in such a way that no goods receipt (or, in the case of services, no service entry) is expected - only an incoming invoice. If you wish to have automatic settlement, you must also set the Evaluated Receipt Settlement indicator.
If you nevertheless wish to allow service entry sheets for the item (e.g. for information purposes only), you must set the GR Non-Val. indicator.
    Customizing
Under Purchase Order à Invoicing Plan in Customizing for Purchasing, you can maintain data such as the desired invoicing plan types, date categories, and date descriptions.
    Procedure
           1.      Create a purchase order with account assignment (framework order).
Click  to access the item overview (or the overview of service lines if you chose item category D for services).
           2.      Enter the desired material or service, the quantity, and the price.
           3.      Select the desired item and click  Account Assignments to access the account assignment screen. Enter the account assignment for this item.
           4.      Click  to access the item detail screen. Check that the GR/IR control indicators are set correctly on the item detail screen.
    ○     The GR and GR-Based Invoice Verification or Service-Based Invoice Verification indicators must not be set.
    ○     IR must be set.
    ○     You must set ERS if you wish to have Evaluated Receipt Settlement.
    ○     If you wish to have service entry sheets purely for information, for example, allow non-valuated goods receipt (i.e. select the GR Non-Val and GR indicators).
           5.      Choose Item ® Invoicing Plan. A window appears, in which the invoicing plan types predefined in Customizing are suggested. Choose the desired invoicing plan type and click  Continue.
You can use the following invoicing plan types:
    ○     Periodic Invoicing Plan
    ■      You use the periodic invoicing plan if the total value of the PO item is to be invoiced in each period.
    ■      The system creates the invoicing dates automatically on the basis of the settings in Customizing.
    ■      The invoicing date and the amount to be invoiced are shown for each settlement period (e.g. month). In the case of the periodic invoicing plan, the amount represents the total value of the PO item.
    ■      You can change the suggested dates and block individual dates for automatic invoicing if necessary.
    ■      You can enter the start and end dates for the invoicing plan.
    ■      With the Dates from and Dates to fields, you can determine that an invoicing plan does not contain invoicing dates extending over the entire validity period of the purchase order but only for a certain period within that validity period. (E.g. within a validity period from 1.1. to 12.31, only dates within the period 1.1. to 06.30.)
    ■      With the Horizon field, you control how far into the future dates can be created. If you enter a date rule that adds six months to the current date here, invoicing dates will be created for just half a year in advance in each case.
The system automatically creates new dates if you change the invoicing plan or when you invoke the transaction for Updating Periodic Invoicing Plans. See Generating Further Invoicing Plan Dates
    ■      The In Advance indicator allows you to specify whether the invoice is to be created with regard to a prior or subsequent period. (E.g. at the beginning of February, either in advance for the month of February or in arrears for the month of January).
    ■      In addition, fields with information on the existing invoicing plan are displayed (e.g. the calendar upon which the date determination process is based).
    ○     Partial Invoicing Plan
    ■      You use the partial invoicing plan if the total value of the PO item is to be invoiced in several partial amounts.
    ■      You get an empty date overview in which you can manually enter the desired dates.
    ■      If you work with a reference invoicing plan, the system automatically generates dates in accordance with the reference plan.
    You have the following options:
    ●      You create a reference invoicing plan in Customizing for the invoicing plan type.
    ●      You enter an existing invoicing plan as reference plan directly in the invoicing plan for the PO item.
    ■      You can flag a date in field B (Billing/Invoicing Rule) as follows:
    ●      As a down payment (percentage or value)
    ●      As an invoicing date (percentage or value)
    ●      As a final invoice
           6.      Click  to return to the item overview.
           7.      Click  to save the purchase order item with the invoicing plan.
You can then start the automatic invoice creation process during invoice verification.
For more information, refer to the section Settlement of Amounts Due Under Invoicing Plans.
Once assigned to an item, the invoicing plan type (e.g. partial invoicing plan) cannot be changed. If you wish to assign a different invoicing plan type, you must delete the item and create a new one.
    Generating Further Invoicing Plan Dates
If you have assigned a periodic invoicing plan to a PO item but have not initially defined invoicing dates covering the entire validity period of the purchase order, you can generate further dates in due course.
You have created a PO item with a periodic invoicing plan for a certain planned procurement. The purchase order is valid from 1.1. to 12.31. When creating the invoicing plan, you specified one invoicing date per month for the first half of the year. You have not yet planned any dates for the second half of the year because you do not wish information from the invoicing plan to be passed on to purchase order commitments at this stage, for example.
By mid-June, it is clear that the PO is to proceed as envisaged, and you therefore wish to schedule invoicing dates for the remainder of its validity period.
    Procedure
To schedule further invoicing dates, proceed as follows:
Choose Purchase order ® Follow-on functions ® Period. invoicing plan
Specify the purchase orders for which invoicing dates are to be generated in the invoicing plan and perform the function.
A log can be created if desired.
    Result
The system adds further dates on the basis of information such as the validity period or horizon from Customizing, the purchase order, and the invoicing plan.

    indranil

  • Automatic posting of excise invoice in case of deemed export

    Hi All,
We have a scenario of Deemed export.
Our client want automatic posting of excise invoice at the time of billing for all scenario.
Its working fine for domestic and export sales. But in case of deemed export system is not picking the correct excise invoice type.
I have maintained settings in Defaulf setting for excise group and series group. For deemed export i have used separate shipping point also.
Request you to guide in this case.
    Its urgent.
    thanks in advance.
Full points will be awarded to all answers.
    Kind regards,

    Dear Ravi
As you would be aware as for as generation of excise invoice is concerned, it is based on series group.  So have you maintained a seperate series group for deemed export.  If so, once again check in Default Excise Group and Series Group that you have assigned the new series group to your sales area.
Since also you said that it is working fine for domestic and exports, it is always better to compare the settings with the one for Deemed exports.  I feel somewhere the settings is missing for deemed exports.
    thanks
