Pointbase database...what does it contain

          Hi,
          When setting up weblogic platform 8.1 using the configuration wizard, the point
          base database is created? For a production release this database will have to
          be replaced by some other RDBMS. What data does pointbase contain? How do we migrate
          the data from pointbase to RDBMS? Or can we remove it all together?
          Can some one point me to the relevant documentation?

I found the answer to this one too when i was working on it. so let me share my experience with anyone who lands here in search of his/her problem.
This uppgrep2 output file contains old and new URL specifications after upgrade for dynamic URLs. And the URLs include user source code as well as the components built with portal UI (such as forms and reports).
however, there were two errors in the new URLs specified in this file.
1. all those new URLs were incorrect which involved /PERSONALFOLDER in them. This folder reference was additional and making the URLs inaccessible. so you might want to remove it after checking it.
2. those URLs which had /TOPLEVELPAGES/ in them were also incorrect as this string was appearing twice in the URLs (like /TOPLEVELPAGES/TOPLEVELPAGES ). this again required that one of these folders should be removed from all such URLs to fix them.
I dont know why it happened, but it did. and i moved on at that point by applying the fix i hinted above.
does anyone have any clue/ or a similar experience in the new URLs of uppgrep.out?

You don't need to create/edit zones unless the network you're on is based on AppleTalk. AppleTalk can pretty much automatically configure itself. It's only when it was part of a much bigger network that zones made it easier to deal with only Macs and devices local to you and not have to sift through every single thing on the network all over a business or school network.

A package database consists of:
/var/sadm/pkg: This is a directory containing one directory entry for every package installed on the system.
/var/sadm/pkg/<packagename>/pkginfo
/var/sadm/pkg/<packagename>/save/<patchid>/undo.Z for the backout packages.
/var/sadm/pkg/<packagename>/save/pspool/<packagename>: A sparse package that is used for non-global zone install.
/var/sadm/install/contents: This file has an entry for every file in the system that has been installed through a package. Entries are added or removed automatically using the binaries installf and removef.

I was playing with my ipad settings (it's an older model) and noted in the advanced settings of Safari there was a place to view website databases. When I clicked on this I saw websites. How do these get there and what does the space amount mean?

Can anyone tell me how these get there? Can a website be posted even if it was never went to? What does the space amount mean? For example, 1.5 kb...is this quite a bit? Would it indicate someone has gone to a site multiple times?
I share my ipad with my teenage daughter and I'm trying to find out if she's lying to me. Obviously she's swearing that she has "no idea" how these got there and I'm trying to keep her safe (she's only 14).

Think of your PC and the 'temporary internet folder' where it keeps cached copies of web pages or elements off a web page for 'quicker display the next time you visit'. That's pretty much what that folder is. 1.5K is tiny. Probably just a basic page with some text on it. (you might be confusing 1.5K with 1.5 megabyte....megabyte is large...it's roughly 1000 kilobytes, so the 1.5K is a tiny file)
As far as I know, the only way info gets into that folder is if the browser has been to that site.
if you have a concern there are browsers out there, McGruff is one i've seen recommended, that allow some degree of parental control and supervision. That or you could passcode lock the iPad or enable the restrictions to turn off some parts of the device to have some control.

1 Recovery media contains recovery image. Recovery image is a kind of package that contains operating system, all necessary drivers, Toshiba tools and utilities and some additional software like WinDVD or Norton antivir application. Media something is not known to me. Maybe exact description can help.
2 Yes it has Windows OS. Yes you can format your notebook using it. You do not need product key. Just install it.
3 I do not know what you mean. The fact is that HDD will be formatted before you start recovery installation. Be sure all your important data are saved on some external device.

I am getting the following error when i am trying to migrate the form to apex using application migration.

Actully i am having one schema which i named as SCM, and i have defined one table TT.
I created one form test.fmb in which i used TT table.its compiled successfully.
Then i generated the xml file using frmf2xml from fmb file. After that, I created the project in appication migration wizard in SCM schema.
Project creattion is working fine.but when i m trying to create application,it is showing me above error.
can any one help in solving this problem.

You need the Airport card OR Airport Express but not both. Considering the age of your machine, I recommend Airport Express as you will find other uses for it whenever you replace the eMac.
To set up the AE, you do need OSX 10.4 or higher.
