Pop-up images appear as thumbnails

Today while accessing the help from my hard-drive, I noticed that when I clicked on a link to open a pop-up image it appeared as a thumbnail.
The pop-up is supposed to appear as a full-sized image, and not a thumbnail.
When generating the layout, in the multiscreen HTML5 properties, under screen profiles - desktop - optimization, I have Convert absolute image size to relative image size selected.
When this option is cleared, the pop-up image opens normally.
However, I would prefer to keep this option selected so that large images are converted to relative image size, and fit on the page.
What is weird to me, is that when accessing the latest version of the help online through my company's system both pop-up images open normally, and absolute images are converted to relative size so possibly some other setting is causing my pop-up images to become thumbnails?
Suggestions are welcome,
Yehoshua

Interesting. This is a consequence of the optimization setting. What method are you using for the popups? If you’re using autosize popups, try converting one or two to fixed size popups to see whether that helps.

In my iPhoto library, only some images appear as thumbnails.  The rest are blank but appear briefly when scrolling through or properly when double clicked.  Any ideas?

    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

  • Main podcast image appearing but thumbnail/directory image wont display?

    hey all,
i have my podcast working fine in itunes now and the image works ok on the main podcast page. however i still can't see a smaller version appear when searching for my podcast in the main listings. the smaller version still has the generic purple icon.
    any reason for this?

Since you upload only the one image, from which both the main one and the small one are generated, I would assume that it is an iTunes Store issue about which you can't directly do anything. I can only suggest you (and everyone else with the same problem) contacts the Support team:

  • IPhoto images appear as thumbnails but not full images

Trying to e-mail images, using either drag-and-drop or copy/paste shows a warning triangle in iPhoto or an empty file in the e-mail.
    Some images are OK.
Has there been a problem when iPhoto amends the library after an upgrade?
I'm running the latest version 9.5.1.
If I need to replace images using TimeMachine, how far do I need to go back please?
    Thanks in anticipation...
    g.

What happened directly before this problem occured? Was it directly after upgraded to iPhoto 9.5.1? Did you move your iPhoto library? Delete photos using the Finder? Where is your iPhoto library located?
warning triangle in iPhoto or an empty file in the e-mail.
This idicates that iPhoto has lost the connection between the thumbnails in the Browser and the original image files. The originals may be missing.
Too late   Thry to rebuild your iPhoto library with the First Aid Tools, or, if even that will not succeed, with iPhoto Library Manager.
The procedure is described here by Old Toad:

How can I get the picture to show in Photoshop CS3?  The thumbnail image appears in the right side panel but the full image isn't showing at all.

What specific information would you need?  The program was working just fine early yesterday morning and than when I came back in the afternoon to edit  some more pictures that is when I wasn't able to see the full image anymore.  It is providing me with all of the editing options as if the picture is there but it is just a blank screen with the thumbnail pic showing in the right panel.

  • I would like to create a pop-up window appear from Labview Interface. In this window, I will have a slide control and an image taken from a camera. The main VI have to run while pop-up window is open. How can I do ?

When I pushed a button, this pop-up window has to appear. There will be a slide control and a picture from a camera in this window. Is it possible to make appear this windows while main VI Interface continue to run ? How can I do this ? Thank you for your answers.
    Cyril.

Here you go. This is simple example. Maybe not the best way, I am just
beginner in LV and still not comfortable with data flow that much. I prefer
events, so I would change this to use Event Structures.
When you click on OK button on SliderMain, it opens Slider.vi. Now both
windows are open and you can interact with both. Now if you click on OK
again with Slider.vi open, you run into problems. Only thing I did was
change VI properties of slider.vi, mainly window appearance.

  • Making pop-up image always appear within browser window

In my CS3 CSS site I want to have images which are only revealed when the user runs their mouse over a photo icon. I've worked out how to make the AP div, which contains the show-hide image, appear in the same position relative to the left margin of my text container div but can't seem to control where they are vertically. As they are absolutely positioned, I know that they will, in theory, always remain in the place where I have positioned them (although this appears to vary greatly from browser to browser) but this causes problems if, for example, I place them above the icon and the viewer happens to rollover the icon while it is near the top of their browser window - the photo can't be seen. Can I make the image's vertical position relative to the browser window, whatever its size, or make sure it always appears within the browser window?! I've tried setting margin top and bottom to auto but that doesn't seem to work in the same way that it does for margin right and left. An example is on this page http://www.ernestcooktrust.org.uk/Contact_biogs/biogs_trustees.html . At the moment the images are set to appear above the icon of the person they are referring to. Or is there a better way then show/hide AP divs to achieve this? Many thanks in advance for any (not too technical please) help.

  • When images appear for a search in safari, you must continually scroll by finger to keep the images loading. Is this a bug?

When images appear for a search in safari, you must continually scroll by finger to keep the images loading. Is this a bug?

Tried that but no change. Details - open up safari and go to yahoo - for the main search at the top, I put in Bears. It shows pages of thumbnail pics. tapping once on a thumbnail gets you that image and then tap again to get added info. At that point, it fills the screen. But in  order to see more info I have to drag a finger upward to reveal more of the details. I then have to continually do that in order to reveal more details for the searched item. It then pops up to the top each time and repeating that process many times in order to see more of the image data. Don't know how to fix this.
    Thanks

  • When browsing a new library that I created, the browser shows dotted lines around grey rectangles, no images. When I double click on a rectangle the image appears. How do I get images to appear in the browser rectangles?

When browsing a new library that I created and exported onto an external hard drive, the browser shows dotted lines around grey rectangles, no images. When I double click on a rectangle, the image appears, but all the other rectangles remain empty - no image. How do I get images to appear in the browser rectangles? I am viewing this on a second computer (an older intel duo iMac), not the one I created the library on (a MacBook Pro). Both computers have Aperture 3.2.4 installed. When I return the external to the MacBook, all images appear in browser rectangles. What's happening on the iMac?

You may have a problem with the permissions on your external volume. Probably you are not the owner of your library on the second mac.
If you have not already done so, set the "Ignore Ownership on this Volume" flag on your external volume. To do this, select the volume in the Finder and use the Finder command "File > Get Info" (or ⌘I).
In the "Get Info" panel disclose the "Sharing & Permissions" brick, open the padlock, and enable the "Ignore Ownership on this Volume" flag. You will have to authentificate as administrator to do this.
Then run the "Aperture Library First Aid Tools" on this library and repair the permissions. To launch the "First Aid Tools" hold down the ⌥⌘-key combination while you double click your Aperture Library. Select "Repair Permissions" and run the repair; then repeat with "Repair Database". Do this on the omputer where you created the library and where you can see the thumbnails.
Then check, if you now are able to read the library properly on your iMac.

  • Quick Preview toggle - images appear very soft?

I have noticed that when using Quick Preview to run through images in my projects all images appear sharp, however if I toggle quick preview off and then back on again the image never sharpens.
This is similar to the effect you would get on first view, i.e. an initial soft image that sharpens when loading completes.
    Has anyone else noticed this?

    Hi guys:
I came searching for this same problem and only happened upon a solution (at least for me) very accidently. In my case the "softness" doesn't seem to be actually linked to the "quick preview" toggle.
When I pull down the "view" menu from the top of the screen, I pass the "quick preview" command and go down to the bottom to "Proofing Profiles". The profile for the proofing was set to one of many of my printer's profiles, which was not calibrated, yet, for my mac. I selected, instead, a previously saved calibration setting (one that I made using the simple calibration wizard under the monitor system preference) specifically for my monitor, and the viewer image changed to look exactly as the one in Browser thumbnail; sharp and detailed.
I certainly hope that this may help you. As I said, this is not based on in-depth knowledge of this program, just trial and error, so may not apply to your situation.
    Good Luck

  • Restored from Vault - extra images appear?

    First some background:
I was having stability problems with 1.5 so I decided to back it out.
I backed up the app and library and then deleted them.
I installed all the various versions till I was back up to 1.1.2.
Then I restored a vault that I had updated just prior to my 1.5 upgrade. (So the vault was completely up to date)
After the restore was finished I noticed images showing grey boxes insead of thumbnails. (Although the thumbnails would rebuild when I selected the image)
I switched to the Library "All Images" view to see if this was true of all images where I noticed my problem.
    Problem:
    - There are a bunch of JPG images named FILENAME - Version 2 that show up in the "All Images" view. These images appear to be the .JPG sidecars that got imported with my .NEFs when I imported a folder of images. However, before I could have sworn that the .JPG that corresponded to a .NEF did not show up in Aperture.
The .JPGs don't appear in the album view (Which is where the .NEF+.JPG's were originally imported into).
Is there anyway I can prevent the restore from vault from creating these new versions of the .JPG's?
Aperture also won't even load some of these .JPG's. It only loads the embedded thumbnail and "Loading..." stays on the screen. Not sure why, because preview loads them just fine. I don't think I care about this part since I don't want them.

Apparently no one cares, but I figured it out myself.
    It's a bug with Aperture
The Vault does not restore correctly if it contains images that had both a Master Raw and Master JPEG.
If you try to restore a vault that has images that were imported with both a raw file and a jpeg file the restore will create multiple versions of the image. One for the raw file and one for the jpeg instead of only having one image that contains both the master raw file and master jpeg.
    To reproduce:
    - Import a folder of images that contains pictures that had both a raw image and a jpeg.
    For instance:
    DSC_2428.NEF
    DSC_2428.jpg
    - Take a note of how many images are in your library.
    - Create a vault
    - Update the vault so that it contains all the pictures.
    - Go to the File menu and select Vault->Restore Library...
    - Select the Vault that you just created.
    - Continue the vault restore process until it has completed.
    - Now look at your Aperture library. You will see that you have twice the number of files as the jpeg's will show up as additional files with "- Version 2" after the filename.

  • Cycle images in a thumbnail gallery

Hi, I'm very new to HTML, so please bear with me. I'm
currently using a "Thumbnail Gallery" style page for my online
portfolio (when the cursor hovers over a thumbnail the image pops
up to the left of it) Here's a link:
    Portfolio
What I'm wondering is, would it be possible to cycle through
several images, when the cursor hovers over a Thumbnail (instead of
just one image for each thumbnail)? I'm thinking of showing several
views of a single model in my 3D section.

You could try and combine the code with a slide show like
    this one...
    http://www.lisajaynedann.co.uk/
If you are not confident about trying to combine the code (I
wouldn't be!) then you could have the page as you have it now, but
require the users to click each thumbnail, instead of hovering to
select the next slide show. By clicking each thumbnail would link
to a new page, carrying the separate slide show.
You could also try and find a script that follows a link on
hover rather than having to click.

  • HDR Pro on CS 5 - Merged image appears but bottom with save buttons cut off??

When I select photos to merge, either via Bridge or within CS5 (Automate/Merge to HDR Pro), the Merged image appears over the CS5 screen.  However, the bottom of the HDR screen with the photos selected for the merge along with the Cancel & Save buttons are cut off.  The only way for me to exit HDR is to force quit.
My monitor resolution is 1440X900 which is better than the 1024x768 required for CS5.
I noticed the same problem in Terry White's video on Youtube describing workflow between Lightroom & CS5 HDR Pro (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rab25UTe6HY) as well as a couple of other users mentioning the problem to Zeno Bokor of Adobe (http://help.adobe.com/en_US/photoshop/cs/using/WSfd1234e1c4b69f30ea53e41001031ab64-78e5a.h tml).
    Does anyone have a solution???
    Thanks.

I found the soluion - after spending over an hour with Adobe phone support (800-833-6687) - of which 45min was being on hold.
It turns out that for some computers, Photoshop CS5 doesn't automatically work as efficiently as it could with the monitor resolution, even if the resolution is > than the minimum 1024 X 768.  This is more frequent in those that have had older versions of Photoshop in them. This causes part of the screen to be cut off when going into HDR Pro.
One has to "prime" CS5 to recognize one's computer monitor settings.  How to do:
    Close out of PS CS5
Go to system preferences and select hardware settings/display (For PC would have to go through Control Panel/Hardware/Display)
Change monitor setting to one recommended by Adobe: 1024 X 768 or 1280 X 800
Save changes.  Monitor will look less clear if you have been using higher settings...it's ok for now.
Now open CS5 again and access HDR Pro all three ways available, i.e. via Bridge, Mini Bridge and through PS under File/Automate.
Verify that the entire screen is visible including all thumbnails and Save/Close buttons.
    Close out of CS5.
Go back to System Preferences ( for PC, go through Control Panel) and change back to your preferred resolution.
Voila! When you open CS5 again you should be able to see the entire screen.
For example, I use a Macbook Pro with OS 10.6.7 and the monitor resolution  was set to 1440 X 900.  However, I still couldn't see the bottom of the  screen with the Save/Close buttons so couldn't save any work (had to  force quit or escape to exit HDR).  After doing the above steps, I am now able to use HDR Pro w/o problem and access the Merge via all three modes.
Via  Mini Bridge - Choose photos to merge--> Tools (above photos, last on right in Content bar) --> Photoshop --> Merge to HDR Pro
Via Bridge - Choose photos to merge--> Tools (Tool Bar beside "Adobe CS5 Bridge" at left top of screen; 3rd from end) --> Photoshop --> Merge to HDR
Via inside Photoshop - File --> Automate -->  Merge to HDR
Since this seems to have affected several people and is a simple solution, I have asked the supervisor I spoke to, Laurie, to please have someone in Adobe post this solution.
    Hope this helped.

  • RoboHelp 8 HTML WebHelp How to display a larger image of a thumbnail by clicking on or rolling over the thumbnail?

How would you display a larger image of a thumbnail by clicking or rolling over the thumbnail?

    Hi there
For a mouseover you would have to add some custom developed JavaScript. You could probably find some pre-made on the web if you poked around.
Generally speaking, any way you slice it you will be using two images. One for the thumbnail and one for the full sized image. You could employ the popup functionalty to pop up the larger image.
I used to simply create DHTML drop-downs and insert the large images in the drop-down area.
