Popup need attributes value based on row selected in table

When a row is selected in a table, how can we pass multiple attributes to a pop-up corresponding to that particular row?
Suppose, there is a link in every row of table corresponding to that particular row and when ever a user click to that particular link , a popup should be displayed. Requirement is I want to pass multiple attributes to that pop-up based on the selected row. How is it possible, any suggestions please? Like I want to pass a person location id , person country id, person id and person manager id?

If your table and popup is on the same jspx page, you can drop the same datacontrol as table (or read-only table) and again drop the same as form (editable / read-only based on your requirement) inside the popup as well.

ok, sorry everyone for making it confusing; this is what I am
trying to acheieve;
I would like the user to populate my database with thier
username AND userID. I have a dropdown box with thier username
dynamicly populated already, what I am trying to achieve, is a way
of when the user selects thier username either another dropdown or
a hidden field is automatically populated with the appropiate
userID (to match thier username). Now I could just have two
dropdowns and they select both, but i'd rather avoid the
possibility of mismatches, and that is why I would like it to be
automatic and based on thier username selection...
Does that make sense....?

Attribute value of previous row

I have a read only VO.
I need attribute value of previous row .
how can i get it ?
consider these 3 attributes and their values :
Id ** add ** sum
1 *** 10 *** 10 -- > (value of previous sum + new value of add)
2 *** 20 *** 10 + 20 = 30 -- > (value of previous sum + new value of add)
3 *** 30 *** 30 + 30 = 60 -- > (value of previous sum + new value of add)
now , i write a method in impl and call this method in page def by invoke action .
i used Row[] rows = this.getViewObject().getAllRowsInRange(); in my method.
but i am looking for better solution.

If you wanted to do a running total like that, you could certainly use analytics to do that in the SQL statement itself (provided you're using an Oracle database). use SUM() over ()...

No rows selected in table Transfer Rules

Hi All,
I have a Generic master datasource which is working fine. I am trying to append a field ZEINH to generic existing master datasource which uses user exit in R/3. It is working fine in R/3.
I have replicated R/3 datasource to BW and assign source system and datasource to infosource.I can see the ZEINH field in Transfer structure .I have tried to map ZEINH with infoobject of same domain and data element in the Infobject assign column of Transfer rule.
When It does not propose transfer rule for new field,however old fields are there. When I select new field and try to transfer to the comm.struc/Trns. rule column, it gives me error"No rows selected in table Transfer Rules"

How to use SQL import to set the attribute value based on another?

Hello all,
I want to set an attribute of a dimension based on another attribute (if matches). Let's say I have a dimension PRODUCT. And I have defined two user defined attributes MANAGER and ISVISIBLE.
Now within a PERMIT_READ program I want to set the ISIVISIBLE to true where the MANAGER Value is selected from a table.
Something like
<define a cursor c1 to select all the Manager values>
sql import c1 into -
:MATCHSKIPERR PRODUCT_MANAGER then <PRODUCT_ISVISIBLE (PRODUCT MANAGER) = true>
<etc>
Obviously the above is not correct. But I am stuck as to how this can be done? Can some one on this forum please help me with correct syntax/ approach please?

This statement assigns true to the isvisible attribute for every gc_dim_bu dimension (selected as part of cursor c1).
SO FAR SO GOOD.. NOW -
If I want to change the above so that the attribute value gets assigned based on another attribute for the dimension (say a flag). i.e.
Set the isvisible to true where attribute flag has a certain value. How do I code this in OLAP DML?

There are a number of ways to do this. If you want to use an attribute that has been defined within AWM as an attribute of Product then simply using the mapping tool to populate the attribute as part of the normal dimension load procedure.
Alternatively you could create an attribute at the DML level, and assuming you are not using surrogate keys, you can then define a cursor to read the relational table to populate your attribute. Something like this:

from PRODUCT_DIM

If you want to create a complex PERMIT function using OLAP DML then personally I would create a formula and assign a program of type BOOLEAN and have the program return a YES or NO depending on the outcome of your test. Then your PERMIT_READ still references a dimension object. For example:
DEFINE PROD.ISVISIBLE BOOLEAN FORMULA <PRODUCT>
EQ PRG.ISVISIBLE(PRODUCT)
DEFINE PRG.ISVISBLE PROGRAM BOOLEAN
The program will then return Yes or No depending on the processing you need to do.

Auto-fill text box field values based on pulldown selection

Trying to fill in address, city, state, zip text fields based on option selected in a select form field. The following code works great in Internet Explorer, but in Chrome or Firefox, after making selection, text fields are populated with the word "undefined."
I've found a PHP version of Jquery script here that would probabably fit the bill.

Is there a way to fill a cell with a value based on the selection from another cell?

For example: If have a drop down menu created for Cell A1 with options (Dog 1, Cat 2, Bird 3). Is there a way to fill cell A2 automatically when I select from the drop down menu.
So if I selected 'Cat' in A1, cell A2 would automatically input the 2.

I suggest an extensible method that allows you to add other animals:
This method adds a small table called "Animal Lookup" that matches names (same as in the pop-up menu) with a value.
The table on the left uses this table to retrieve the value based on the animal:
B2=VLOOKUP(A2, Animal Lookup :: A:B, 2, 0)

Set Radio Group Default Value Based on a Select List Change Event

I have a radio group that is source is below. It returns 3 radio group item All,Miv,Courier
SELECT type d, code r FROM vw_lov_depot
WHERE svc_name = :P320_DEPOT
ORDER BY 1
The radio group is only populated when :P320_DEPOT gets a value, this is a select list.
I am trying to set the radio group to default to this value Miv it would use the statement
SELECT type d, code r FROM vw_lov_depot
WHERE svc_name = :P320_DEPOT
and type ='Miv'
ORDER BY 1
I have tried creating a dynamic action on Select list change to populate the default value of the radio group...no joy I also tried a computation. how can I set this default value on when list changed.

I have got the default Radio Group Selection working by doing a computation before region on the radio group and calling its select statement and setting the value. But the problem is now I cannot change the radtio group as I do it fire the before region trigger and sets it back to the default value....any help?

Multiple row selection in Table

I have created one popup with a table inside that.
My question is how can i add multiple rows, enter value in those rows and on clicking the
copy button all the value in the rows will be copied into the main view.
All the rows should be editable.

In my application when i am selecting the multiple rows which i entered earlier in the popup window, it's getting populated into main window.
But in main window only one input field is there,so only the fiest record is getting displyed after selection.
Rest of the records i am not able to display in the main window.And the problem is i can't add more than one input field in main window. Rest of the values will be passed into R3 through coding but it can't be displayed on screen.
So please advice me on these two scenarios.
1 . How to populate multiple row values(input fields in popup window with value enterd by user) into
main view. In main view only one input field is there.
2 . How to pass all the selected values from main window to R3 by webdynpro coding.
All the values coming from popup need to be passed even though only one value is displayed.
Here the input field in main window is mapped to one model attrribute.

Multiple row selection for table element

I have a requirement where I require to select multiple rows from a table element in a WD for abap application.
I have defined a node with cardinality and selection set to 1..n.
The contex node contains 4 fields : emp_name, pernr, manager and position.
The attributes of the table element for selectionmode is set to 'multi' and 'selectionchangebehaviour' is set to 'auto'.
I have defined an action on the 'onleadselection' event.
The code in this method also includes the statement 'lo_el_team_view->set_selected( EXPORTING flag = abap_true ).'
When I execute the application only 1 row is highlighted at any one time when I select it. You can select multiple rows by holding down the 'ctrl' key but I want to avoid having to do this. Is there anything I have missed out causing multiple row selections not to be all highlighted.

How to get ridd of Garbage Values in the row from the Tables

I have an excel Sheet which has a value as
Name
ABC
PQR
XYZ
MNO
STU
DEF
JKL
So i converted that to a csv (Comma de-limited) file and created an external table out off it.
So when i try to match to "select * from table;" it displys the vlaue as below

however, it should have been just ABC.

O/p: 4 (It Should have been 3)
How to get rid off this garbaje character?

How to save values form all row in dynamic table into mysql database?

hello guys..
i got some problem on developing expert system using adobe dreamweaver and mysql.
i've create a dynamic table and have some value from different row. i want to save values from all row to mysql database.. unfortunately.. i'm failed to do that.. for now, i just can save value from first row.
kindly you can help me to solve this problem.. or maybe there is any tutorial i can follow..

dear bregent and SnakEyez02.
i have create 2 table, which is soalan table and temporary table.
user will answer all the question. either 'ya' or 'tidak'..
each answer have different value..
this value store permanently in soalan table..
this value i want save to temporary table too.
for now, i success only save for the first row but i want save for all..
anybody please help me..
