Seems like your port is in use by another application...you have another program open to control your oven? You are sure you have used the right COM-Port? No Serial Mouse connected which is in use by Windows? What about your COM 1 and COM 2? There's no error-sign...you already tried connecting your device to this port?
*edit* And: Look at your baud-rate...it's not a valid value for a RS232-communication...
Greetings

  • BT Homehub port forwarding - Conflicts?

I am trying to set up an application for a minecraft server. I need to forward ports and I create the application for the Minecraft server with ports 25565 and when I try to actually apply it, it says:
    ports setting conflict
This application ports setting conflict with others, Please correct it and try again.
I dont see how there are any conflicts? I dont have any other applications set up on my router?

Same thing happens when you try to add Xbox Live - nobody knows why.  Basically a full reset seems to be the only fix and even then you have to be quick when setting up port forwarding otherwise the conflicts issue happens.

  • Mail port setting for .Mac?

I use Mail for my .Mac account and usually have no problem sending e-mails. However, whenever I am on campus at school I am unable to send out any mail (and thus my messages are always moved to the Outbox but never sent out). Once I reconnect off campus my messages are sent.
Do I need to change a server port setting to have my e-mails be sent out? As of now, it's on the default setting of smtp.mac.com on port 25.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Try changing to Port 587. Should work at home, as well. See:

  • GigE VIsion Camera IP and Port setting in multicast mode (IMAQdx)

GigE VIsion Camera IP and Port setting in multicast mode (IMAQdx)
    Hello, Everybody
I have NI-IMAQdx 3.5.0 , and I have Basler Camera (scA640-74gc) with GigE Vision Interface.
I run that camera in my computer as controller (Multicasting mode) with IP (239.192.0.1)
I detected that camera in another computer (to run it as listener) by LbVIEW .
    my problem is
I run the Pylon Viewer from Basler (Monitor mode) after I detected that camera.
it was run successfully (I look to details of that camera it have same IP 239.192.0.1 and the port changed every time when i stop running in controller computer)
from where i can set fixed Port  in multicasting mode??????
When I use Pylon Viewer in controlled computer and set the mode to multicast
I should set IP and port , then in listener computer I run Pylone Viewer (monitor mode) I saw same IP and same port which i set it in controller
I need a way in LabVIEW to set Port Number in multicasting mode...How I can do that
    Best Regard
    Alzhrani

    Hi Alzhrani,
Unfortunately it is a bit more complicated because you would have to use the GVCP protocol and do a register read of a specific register on the camera that stores the multicast UDP port (that IMAQdx programs from the controller). However, this likely requires access to the GigE Vision specification in order to be able to format the messages correctly.

  • USB PORT SETTING IN WINDOW

Sir, I want to protect my computer from insert of any flash drive(4 GB or 8 GB),because most flash drives are harmful for window (operating system).
    1.      I want during window installation there must a optional setting for USB ports.
    2.     In USB port setting there must a option for setting a USB port memory (maximum and minimum capacity ) may be selected during installation of window.
    3.     By default setting should be maximum capacity  that can be entered through USB port
Any other method can also be adopted for  this purpose.   Please reply.

  • Port Forward: Conflicts with all of them.

A bit about me: I am an IT professional 20+ years so I know how to port forward
    Situation:
I had a Actiontec Gen1 router. A technician came out the other day and tried to resolve an upload speed issue. As a result, he replaced the ONT and the Router to a Gen2. He got it all up and running and left. My issue started 20 minutes after he left -- when I sat down to reestablish my port forwards.
When I tryed creating my first port forward, I got a warning message about a conflict. I looked at the list and all I had were 3 preset entries:
    --Localhost                               TCP Any -> 4567
    --192.168.1.100:63145          Application - TCP Any -> Any
    --192.168.1.100:63145          Application - TCP Any -> 1
Now, I have done port forwards a lot with my previous router so I was a bit taken back. I did a factory restore on the router and tried to create another port forward - still conflicts.
I knew something was up so I called Verizon. A tech didn't get anywhere so they put me on the phone with Actiontec. They had me try to create a port forward and got the same results. They said the router was corrupt and to have Verizon send me another.
I got the new router in today. While the tech was setting it up in the basement, I quickly tried to create a port forward on it and it worked. I was excited and waited for him to connected it to the WAN. Once he did his thing and established outside connectivity, I tried to create another port forward, and it failed. I asked him to give me back my original Gen1 router so I could use it to troubleshoot. He did with the rule that I call him when I was done.
I got Verizon back on the line and they couldn't help. They then got me on the phone with Actiontec. A couple hours later, they still had no answer. One thing we found though was that they were also not able to connect remotely. They tried 443 and 8080 - nothing worked. I also found that I was able to create UDP port forwards - they worked fine but as soon as I tried any TCP ports, the always came back with a conflict.
Actiontec said the issue was with Verizon and that I should work with them again, so I called Verizon.
I got a great tech who was really going the extra mile instead of giving me the infamous "We don't support that". He too couldn't access the router remotely and we tried just about anything under the sun. For giggles, we decided to put my old Gen1 router back in place. He wanted to reset it to factory defaults so we did. I took a screen capture of my original port forwards though first. When we restored it, it was also stating that there is a conflict when I created a new port forward.
I took a look at my screen capture of my original Gen1 router (this is the one that was originally working over the last year) and I noticed that its 192.168.1.100 entry was set to go to Application - UDP any -> 63146. After resetting it to factory default, Verizon is now setting it to the two setting I documented above.
So now I am questioning Verizons settings that they are pushing down to the router.
My next step was to disconnect it from the WAN completely, do a factory reset and see if I can create a port forward. After doing that test, I was able to create port forwards - TCP, UDP -- they all entered without a conflict. As soon as I connected the router to the WAN and Verizon pushed their settings, it broke again.
The technician did all he could. It is Sunday today and the higher tier techs do not work on Sundays so he said he will have them contact me tomorrow. I sure hope they can resolve this!
    So this is the deal:
-Go into your router and try to create a port forward. Pick anyone from the list that includes a TCP port. If you get a message stating there is a conflict, you are most likely in the same boat as I. I would bet anything that Verzion cannot access your router remotely too.
-If you ARE able to create tcp port forwards, then I would highly suggest that you do not do a factory reset. When doing so, I would bet anything that you will no longer be able to create those forwards.
-if you are able to port forward fine, do me a favor and tell me what your 192.168.1.100 port forwards are that Verizon throws in there. If I were to bet, I would bet that the ones that work are set for Application - UDP any -> 63146; If they don't work, I would bet that they are set to:
    --192.168.1.100:63145          Application - TCP Any -> Any
    --192.168.1.100:63145          Application - TCP Any -> 1
Anyway, that is my story. I spent a whole weekend with Verizon and I am still not working. Any data from the community will be helpful. I want to know if this is a global issue or if it is only affecting me. I have had this happen with 3 routers, 1 gen1 and 2 gen2's.
Thanks for your help in advance.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Finally - a solution. *wipes brow*
First off, I want to state that the networking group located in the Syracuse - all the other tech need to visit them for a week and learn:
    - How to talk to a customer (what to say and not to say)
    - How routers work, how they can be configured, and what they are capable of. Basically, learn a bit about networking.
    - Listen to the customer - they may know more than you.
Anyway, thank you very much Syracuse Team!
While working with the tech (this guy was awesome and actually listened to me about the automatic port forwards that were appearing from Verizon), he decided to to use the RJ45 network WAN connection in addition the COAX. My setup was setup to only use the COAX connection - it's been that way for over a year now.
The tech turned set it up so that my data was going through the RJ45 and the TV was going through the COAX. When he did this and we reset the router to factory, the Verizon forwarded ports were no longer showing up and as a result, I was able to create ports at will without conflict.
So beware all of you who are setup to only use the COAX connection. It appears that one of my set top boxes was now throwing in the port forwards that I noted in the original post and those were screwing everything up. Go figure that, eh? I wonder who said that some 14 tech hours ago?
Anyway - if you are unable to create port forwards without a conflict error, call up Verizon and tell them the issue. If they act like they never heard this, tell them about my situation and that adding the RJ45 connection in addition the COAX is the solution. Just make sure you reset your router to factory when they are done or else those odd port forwards won't clear.
    Peace out and good luck!

  • GL Account Field status setting conflicting with Account Assignment categor

    Hi All,
A GL account could not be used for posting vendor invoice because of mismatch between the field status group setting for the GL account and the account assignment category. The Account assignment category in MM does not even have WBS field where as for the GL account the field WBS element has been suppressed. Because of this conflicting setting we are not able to post the vendor invoice.
What I am bothered about is there are lot of GL accounts being assigned to this field status group.
Can anybody please let me know what will be consequences if I make the changes to the relevant field status group?
Please let me know if there is any way-out for this Or is it ok with I go ahead with the changes required.
    Regards,
    S.Sumana

    Hi Sumana,
If you are changing FS there will no problem but see that IT should not be combination of Required and Hide then system will give you the errorr.
In your case from MM change the status as optional.I think your problem will get resolved.
    Thanks

  • Airport extr port setting w/SL server

When moving our offices to a new location I lost all the settings on my Airport extreme.
I have a Mini Server with Snow Leopard Server 10.6.8 that's connected to the internet via an Airport Extreme base station.
We have a set of wikis that we usually acces from the internet with a domain name for which the IP was managed by Dyndns. I can access the wiki locally with the local adress (http://miniserver.local/groups/xxx/calendar/ or http://miniserver.local/groups/xxx/wiki/) but can't do it with the domain name as we used to before.
I've opened port 80 on the airport extreme but it still doesn't work.
    Any ideas?

Although the information specific to 10.6 has not yet been posted, lynda.com has an excellent step-by-step tutorial on setting up 10.5. server. It will cost you $25, but I believe it will be well worth the time and minimal cost.
At this point, if I were you, I would start over with the Mini. Watch the tutorial on setting up the server in general and especially DNS and then reinstall server on the Mini. Remember that the server MUST have a static IP address.
I hope you have some sort of external storage attached to the Mini as none of the internal drives are anywhere large enough to support 10 users with file sharing and Final Cut. Buy the biggest drive you can get with FireWire 800 and connect it to the Mini.
Once you have the server and DNS set correctly, you can use Workgroup Manager to do all sorts of fun things, including shutting off the internet to client systems. To make it work, though, you will need to bind the client systems to the server.
Not sure about moving to 10.5.x clients of that vintage. I have 10.5.x running on a 1Ghz machine at home and it is slow-going at best. The only advantage to 10.5.x is additional management tools that don't work in 10.4.x. I don't believe the parental controls (which can be used to lock down internet settings) will work the way you need under 10.4.x, but to be honest, I don't remember that far back.
You will use Server Administrator to set up share points, including options to auto-mount a share point (again I highly recommend that this be an external drive). Workgroup Manager is where you will set up student accounts and, if desired, make share points auto-mount. Don't forget to set permissions, too. You can also do cool things like start up and shut down the clients on a schedule.
Disconnecting the system from the outside world certainly has advantages, but it would be nice to be able to get software updates, especially for the server.
    Good luck.

  • Unable to print with 2 identical printers unless I switch the port setting

I have 2 identical HP Deskjet 6940 printers
(I assume they are identical unless there is a way to verify the guts inside or different)
When ever I want to print to one or the other printer, I have to open into the printer properties and go to Ports and switch between USB001 or USB002.
I have tried uninstalling the printer driver and reinstalling it as well as letting Windows detect the printer driver, but it still creates another Port and one printer always insists on printing to one particular port and the other printer prints to the other.
How do I set both printers to print with the same port so I don't have to constantly go into the properties to switch them back again?

What is your operating system?  In Vista (and I think XP as well) you can go to the Printers folder, right click on the printer, Run as Admonistrator, Properties, (continue),  Ports, check the "Enable Printer Pooling" then check the boxes for the ports for the two printers.  In this case the print job will be sent to the first one that is available.

  • Port mapping conflict, what do I do?

trying to port map "personal file sharing" to my airport but i get a public tcp port conflict. How do I resolve this? Do I just pick another number and match it with the private tcp port ? Or do I have to select a new port for this operation in OSX? No clue how that is done so any help would be much appreciated ! Thanks.

are you trying to map personal file sharing to a computer on your network? If you are, an dyou have file sharing on in the disk section of the Airport extreme base station, you will get a conflict message. You have to turn off disk file sharing, then all will work just fine!
    hope that helps!

  • RVS4000 WAN PORT set to 1000Mbit

Is there a way to set the WAN Port to 1000Mbit? My Cablemodem supports up to 1000Mbit on the interface but the RVS4000 only runs at 100Mbit WAN Port speed.
It would be great to have the same options as for the LAN ports to change sensing also on the WAN port.
    Thanks.

    Hi Gonzalo,
The RVS4000 router can only allow one WAN IP address at a time. The RV series routers (RV042, RV082, and RV016) can allow multiple WAN IP addresses for load balancing or failovers.

  • Port forwarding conflict with applicaton ssh

    Hi,
I have 2 machines in my home network that I want to be able to ssh to from externally using different ports, 22 and 2022. Both forwarders need to forward to port 22 on the 2 machines. I only seem to be able to establish one forwarder. The second one complains that it conflicts with the first. It seems like it can't handle forwarding to the same port despite it being on a different server. Is this a known bug? Is there a workaround?
    Thanks, Tom

The NAT within the home hub can only map to one port of the same number, irrespective of the device, its just the way it works.
I am not sure which routers would be capable of this.

  • Airport Utility: Ethernet WAN Port setting

In Airport Utility > Internet > Internet Connection .. is a property called "Ethernet WAN Port". The default setting is "Automatic (Default)".
When I set this property to "1000 Mbps/Full Duplex" Airport Utility throws two interesting errors:
    1) You have nothing plugged into your WAN port (But I do have my Comcast modem plugged in there)
    2) You don't have internet.
Upon Visual inspection of the Comcast modem, my IP connection to the house is gone. Specifically the green "PC" light is off.
Now, when I change this property back to "Automatic (Default)" my IP connection comes back again.
Does anyone have any thoughts or advice on why this is? I should also mention one more interesting thing ...
When downloading a 40min (1 hour TV show) from iTunes it takes 15 minutes when my Mac is direct connected to the Comcast modem and 3 hours when my Mac is connected to the AEBS. I'm trying to change the "Ethernet WAN" property to 1000 Mbps/Full Duplex to ensure smooth connection from Mac to AEBS to Comcast Modme to Internet.
    Thanks!

    Bob, thanks. Makes sense.
Do you have a notion of why the Comcast speed is cut when AEBS is connected to it vs. when the MacBookPro is directly connected to it?
Example: Download 1.1GB file from iTunes (Episode 1 of Lost) - a 40 minute TV show
    Test 1: MacBookPro > WiFi (802.11n) > AEBS > Comcast Modem = 3 Hours (longer than show!)
    Test 2: MacBookPro > Ethernet > AEBS > Comcast Modem = 3 Hours
    Test 3: MacBookPro > Ethernet > Gigabit Switch > AEBS > Comcast Modem = 3 Hours
    Test 4: MacBookPro > Ethernet > Comcast Modem = 15 MINUTES
    Thanks,

  • Found ports setting...but still cant video conference with ichat

I was once able to use iChat to type back and forth and use video conference (i was borrowing my neighbors wireless connection). But since I got this siemens SE567 router, the video chat fails to connect. I can still chat by typing. I have set up port forwarding for the following ports (all UDP): 5060, 5190, 5297, 5298, 5353, 5678 and 16384-16403. Also, thanks to Kappy and Barney, I have allowed iChat to access the internet. I think these ports are for iChat. But are the same for the videos, or do I have to open other ports (may be for isight). please help. May be i didnt have to open those ports I did since I was always able to use iChat to type.

In the Mac Firewall setting it to Allow All is just that it allows all ports or rather all apps to use any port they want.
In the routing device it tends to be different and somewhat different depending on the device.
A routing device will need to open the ports above 1024 in some manner (UPnP, Port Forwarding, Port Triggering or DMZ).
With some the firewall if it has a software version as well will be effective on those ports and will allow traffic.
On other devices the ports that are to be firewalled also need to be set.
Next comes what does the firewall actually do.
This for example is based on Levels
It includes at different stages things like Not Responding to Internet Pings, Intrusion detection, DOS and SPI but couches them in none threatening (friendly) terms that can be seen as being less informative.
On some devices the DOS or SPI (Some have both but must have one or the other) and Responding to Internet Pings can be separate features making you wonder what the actual firewall is doing.
This 3com emulator page makes it clear what the firewall here does and links the things that are going to be affected by it under it as sub headings in the menu.
This Netgear one has Firewall place and in the WAN menu item has either SPI or DOS (depending of firmware version) and Ping Blocking in that menu item. The actual firewall just seems to allow All Outgoing connection and block incoming ones but does not actually say what it is protecting you from.
(I had one of these and only did the WAN page stuff)
The upshot is that in your case you may need to set the ports in Port Forwarding (NAPT on yours) and also set them in the firewall. But having said that if it has an Off setting it would seem it firewall the ports that are in use.
Now in addition some routing modem are SIP aware and expect any SIP data to go to a VoIP phone. In theses cases there is a special Binding of SIP to port 5060. I know that Thomson-Alcatel Speedtouch range does this and some Drayteks but I am not aware of any of the Siemens range doing it.
My Netgear DG834G had a firmware Update which added a SIP ALG
ALGs are Application Level Gateways and are supposed to help with those particular applications. I could not work out if the one in my Netgear did actually help or not so I turned it Off
    At the bottom.
I can not see from the Port Forward pics that suggests that you have these either.
The Manual seems to be downloadable from here which may help

  • Port 7200 conflict?

    Hi,
This post is actually about a problem that we're having with an Oracle Identity Federation (OIF) installation where the Oracle Apache/OHS is dying periodically, but I think that this problem is something to do with the infrastructure. This installation is on Redhat.
We are seeing these msgs in the Apache/Apache/logs/error_logXXXXXX files:

    emagent 23563 oifadmin 9u IPv4 478045 TCP localhost.localdomain:13837->localhost.localdomain:7200 (CLOSE_WAIT)
    emagent 23563 oifadmin 11u IPv4 478143 TCP localhost.localdomain:13850->localhost.localdomain:7200 (ESTABLISHED)
    emagent 23563 oifadmin 15r IPv4 477946 TCP localhost.localdomain:13820->localhost.localdomain:7200 (CLOSE_WAIT)
    httpd 26740 oifadmin 15u IPv4 473172 TCP localhost.localdomain:7200 (LISTEN)
    httpd 26748 oifadmin 15u IPv4 473172 TCP localhost.localdomain:7200 (LISTEN)
So, it seems like emagent maybe and Apache are both trying to use port 7200? The Apache is listening on localhost:7200 because dms.conf is configured to listen on localhost:7200.
This was a fairly "vanilla" installation... basically I just took all the installation defaults, so I don't understand why I'm having this problem and what to do about it.
Can anyone suggest the best way to eliminate this problem?
    Thanks,
    Jim

    Hi,
I re-visited my testing, and especially the lsof output, and it seems like SOMETHING was listening on port 7200 that conflicted with OHS.
The lsof showed emagent, but it looks like that was emagent connecting TO port 7200, not that emagent was listening ON port 7200.
So, I just did another test, where I commented out the "include" in httpd.conf which includes dms.conf, hoping that if OHS wasn't listening on port 7200, that I'd be able to see the SOMETHING that was trying to listen on 7200.
However, when I did that NOTHING was listening on port 7200.
So, it seems like whatever is conflicting with OHS and listening on port 7200 is only running if I have that "dms.conf" "include" line in the httpd.conf.
I guess the question is: When the "dms.conf" is included in the httpd.conf, does that cause another process to be started up, and what process is that?
Does anyone have any idea about this?
    Thanks,
    Jim
P.S. NOTE that when I change the port # in dms.conf and restart OHS, then the problem "moves" with the new port #, i.e., I get a conflict on the new port #.
So, the port that whatever process is started by OHS is listening on changes when I change the port # in dms.conf and then do the dmctl command.
