Port triggering and getting to an answer
I'm trying to learn how to do port triggering on my WRT160N. I believe there is an answer (answer id 344) but I can't find/get to it. I found a link in the port forwarding FAQ, but when I click on it I get a request for a log in, and when I enter my login info, it says I don't have an account. any suggestions?

I have a wrt160N with 2 security DVRs behind it. one set up for port 80 and 8090, the 2nd for port 83 and 9000. Have single port forwording set for both dvrs (4 entries).
have 2 DDNS , one for each. but I only can connect to the one with the port83 no matter which DDNS I use.. I can connect to both using their individual internal (192.168) addresses.
using the :80 after the address gets me an error msg site doesn't exist.
thought I would try port triggering to see if it works.
I could connect with the DDNS to the port 80 DVR when it was the only one. when I added the port 83 DVR I had the problem occur.

Display PDF and get possibly modified data back
Hello
we want to display a PDF in the SAP-GUI, either inline or external via the registered application (Adobe Reader, Adobe Acrobat or whatever).
If the user has an application that is capable of editing a PDF-Document, we need to get the document's new data to store it in a document server under a new version.
So is there any possibility to display a PDF and register some sort of callback that is triggered and gets passed the document's data (in any format)?
The only solution I found so far, is to display a PDF Form with Adobe Reader extensions and send the entered form-data via a service-call, initiated by embedded Java-Script in the PDF, back to the server. We need however the document's full data and we are going to display normal PDF documents that have no form-fields.

To be generic, SAP Adobe Forms are similar to Smartforms when it comes to form designing and printing.
The added advantages include, you can have online as well as offline forms where users can edit pdf's i.e. Enter Data in editable fields and can be uploaded or used as per the requirement.
So your requirement can be surely met using SAP Adobe Forms. -
Difference Between Port Forwarding and Port Triggering.

I'm lost! The differences between port forwarding and port triggering is driving me nuts! It all seems very subtle to me. Can anyone explain to me (in a very simple way) what exactly are their differences. Thanks in advance!!Port Forwarding
The big difference between this and port triggering is that forwarding is fixed.. you forward a port and it is always forwarded.. IE available to connection.. basically the forwarded port is excluded from the fire walling abilities of the router. Second it is static and applies to one machine only. Whereas you could set port triggering to the router and thereafter any machine on the LAN can trigger it unless its already in use.. port forwarding must be specified for each individual machine.
Port forwarding requires you to give each PC on the network its own unique static IP address.. Although there is ssh port forwarding that can be set dynamically. Most users only have the option of static ip port forwarding.
The real downside of port forwarding is that it can be very tricky to set up... You may have to allow a series of ports on a machine and have to do that for each machine you want to allow through. Also routers often have limited abilities and may not allow you the ability to forward a port or select the service you require.
Port Triggering
This is a way of Dynamically assigning a service to a port WHEN it is required by an outgoing service. The port is initially not allowed so nothing can get in and you are protected by your network.
A good example of this is when using Yahoo! voice .. the voice works fine for a few minutes after you connect to Yahoo! then Yahoo! sends some kind of packet that requires a response from your PC... The packet is allowed in through your router no prob but the outgoing reply is not authorized to open a port on the router and is thus blocked.

How can I set up a WD My Cloud with my Airport Extreme - I can't get it to open ports 80 and 443?
For remote internet access to the WD My Cloud Mirror, I have been advised that ports 80 and 443 must be open in order to reach the WDMyCloudMirror. My Motorola Gateway (Surfboard SB6141) is connected directly to my Airport Extreme (WAN port) which is in turn connected to the WDMyCloudMirror (all by ethernet cables). I do not have FULL instructions on how to properly manually configure the Airport Extreme to open the ports. I have tried an earlier posting which provides many of the steps, but not all of the required information is included (how to determinge the IP address to be assigned, etc.). I did the best I could with the information given, but the test using "YouGetSignal" showed the ports as still closed and attemps to reach the WDMyCloudMirror by the internet failed as well (of course). The WDMyCloudMirror has enough Apple "stuff" included in it (software, I suspect) that an Apple legal acceptance is required for its set-up, yet Western Digital Tecnical Support is unable (or unwilling?) to help with this aspect of its configuration required to work within the Airport Extreme environment. I have returned the WD My Cloud Mirror to Amazon as "not able to work", but I have not given up the hope that I can eventually get the ports open so that I can get this cloud device, or one similar, to permit remote internet access.
Port Forwarding.....or Port Mapping....as Apple calls it is a difficult and complex configuration method for most users. Because there are so many variables involved in this type of setup, it is not possible to provide a step by step guide that will work for everyone with all devices.
It is possible that a setup guide exists for the the WD drive and AirPort Extreme, but you will have to go looking for it on the Internet. Even if you find one, it may not be tailored to your specific situation or needs.
Sometimes, you can do everything right....at least according to someone's article or "how to" guide, and things still will not work correctly.
In situations like this, when you really don't know what to do, you need to enlist the aid of an IT pro, who will know what to do based on your particular products and unique circumstances. Sometimes....they won't be able to get things working either due to particular circumstances.
But, before you do this, I would strongly recommend that you use a Static IP address for your Internet connection with your ISP. If you do not have this now, contact them to ask them if they offer this type of connection. Expect to pay more for this type of service, of course. -
I keep getting error 3004 when i try restoring and updateing my iphone 4 to iOS 7 i did everything 1. flushed dns 2. edited hosts 3. updated itunes and downloaded new one 4. switched usb ports 5. disabled antivirus 6. enabled ports 80 and 443 7. disabled firewall 8. even tryed putting mobile in DFU mode to restore it not of this worked so please help me

What do I need to connect my late 2009 Mac book (mini display port) to the TV and get sound?
I'm totally confused!
I have a late 2009 model Macbook. And I want to connect it to my TV.
So my research has led to believing I need a Mini display port adapter and a HDMI cable - but from some of what I have read, this won't carry sound...
Can anyone clarify this and what I do actually need?The Mini DisplayPort to HDMI doesn't carry audio unless you have the Mid 2010 model 7,1 and there're no audio plugs on most TVs to work with HDMI since it's expecting audio with theHDMI.
If you have the Late 2009 model 6,1 White Unibody with the MiniDisplay Port there is an adapter that can combine video and audio to HDMI.

maybe i can buy or exchange the dvd of photoshop elements 7.0 without because my serial number is good so i maybe just need a new disc being this disc is scratched i've got 40 to 50 hours into this 1 trial version of photoshop elements 7.0 more than i have in the whole computer restore and all the other programs i have restored have windows xp service pack 3 or 3.5 and net framework 4.0 and all the important and required updates i also have an open case which i am getting no where either case #213952591 which i responded to within 4 days as not resolved but i am still getting no help activating this trial version of photoshop elements 7.0

Basic question is why are any of the minimun 8 Verizon reps that I or my Authorized Verizon Rep (at Costco) spoke with unable to resolve a very simple, straightforward issue that should have been resolved in 15 minutes max. Instead I (a 14 year verizon customer) have been given the runaround and have invested over 6 1/2 hours in trying to get someone to acknowledge that I an owed 1 GB of Bonus Data on my new phone on our new plan. My wife got hers. I am just venting now as I intend on returning the phone tomorrow (I got it Thursday) and turning around and getting an identical new phone. This was suggested to me as an option by both the Rep who sold my wife her phone and the rep who sold me mine as that way I would not have to contiinue dealing with this ridiculous state of affairs (they indicated that my Free gig request was being sent to another department and that it would be about 7 days befor they get an answer). Just Venting . Thanks
No I was considerate, etc. The root of the problem stems from the fact that when I went to get my new phone I asked the salesperson if I should sign up for the new plan or if my wife should do it the following day when she buys her new phone (also at a Costco but in a different state). The salesperson said it made absolutely no difference so I elected to have my wife do it. When she did the next day she got her free Gig and her salesperson told her that I need to call in to make sure I get the gig that I am entitled to as well. That's when the runaround started with the first call consisting of me basically advising Verizon of what the promotion consists of, etc.since they insisted that it was one gig per Plan, that there were no exceptions to this, etc. As mentioned they wanted to know where I got the information that it was one gig per qualifying phone. (Both the rep and her supervisor obviously were not aware of how Verizons heavily touted More Everything plan works). They told me finally that I needed to go back to the Costco where I got the phone. I did. The salesperson apologized numerous times to me for advising me that it made no difference who signs up for the plan or when. She then spent over two hours on the phone (with me next to her) attempting to explain to Verizon what happened, how it was her fault, and how I was clearly entitled to the Bonus Gig since I also had a qualifying phone. Finally she was transferred to someone who authorized the Bonus Gig (since I was clearly entitled to it) and who indicated that it might take 24 hours to show up on my new Plan. 72 hours later, no change, and the runaround continues some more. The only reason I even came to this forum was to let off some steam since no one could give me an answer.. It's clear that I am entitled to the Bonus Gig yet the last supervisor I spoke with told me that he could only pass the request on to another department via e-mail (no direct contact, etc. even though I gave him the name and employee # of the Verizon rep who indicated the Bonus was approved) and that an answer should be forthcoming in about 7 days. I was very cordial with everyone I spoke with as I understand that they take their direction from the top. The countless hours I have spent dealing with this situation is something that no-one should have to go through, particularily someone who has been a Verizon Plan customer since about year 2000. Everyone seems to agree that I am entitled to the free gig but no one seems to be in a position to help this customer. Its a horrible way to treat someone. I talked with the original saleslady today and told her I would be in tomorrow to turn in the phone and get a new one along with the gig I was entitled to. She said that would be fine and wouldn't be a problem but that she would be happy to try calling Verizon once again to try to resolve the issue. I indicated that I'm done with wasting time taliking with well-meaning and courteous (and I assume underpaid) employees who I assume are pretty much directed from above that any concessions they make, even if the customer is entitled to them, will reflect badly on their employee evaluations . Good thing I am retired or I would really be worked up. They only way I would consider even talking to Verizon anymore on this is if they were to waive the $60 in upgrade fees my wife and I paid for the new phones. Why can't I get a straight answer re: Multi Room DVR and HD Boxes
A rep that I spoke w/ on the phone and the website tells me that the HD set top boxes are not compatiable w/ the Multi Room DVR. But they are working on it. A rep I chatted w/ today told me they definitely WILL work together. Why can't I get a straight answer?? And what IS the correct answer? I want to switch to FIOS and I really like the Multi Room DVR option, but I don't want my 1 of my 2 main TVs to be w/o HD. And since the Multi Room Box is HD why wouldn't it be compatiable w/ the HD boxes??

And that info is out of date, whether it is on Verizon's website or not. If you have the latest level of the IMG (1.6), then, as confirmed one post above yours, that the HD STB is now supported, and works. This has been posted in multiple posts on multiple forums, so I believe that it is accurate. But I do not have the 1.6 level so I cannot confirm that personally, I can only repeat what other posters in this and other forums have said. For example:

Ps2pdf convert does not show right characters.
