Portlet Maximize Options in WebCenter

Hi,
We are looking for Portlet maximize feature where end user can click on maximize Portlet which will enable the Portlet to occupy the full browser space (may be leaving the header) on top.
Thanks!

hi,
Thank you for your replay.
i already searched in the net and but not much usefull.
Because the problem is RICh showdetailFrame is not allowing me to use maximize option. only HTML based showdetailframe is allowing. but in my case i need this to the Rich component.
Thank you,
SK

  • Disabling Maximize option from JFrame without disabling the resizing option

    Hi all,
    I want to know how we can disable the maximize option of a JFrame window without disabling the resizing option. I have tried JFrame.resizable(false). It disables both maximizing and resizable option. But I need the resizable option to be working.
    Anyone can help me?
    Thanks in Advance

    this works OK on 1.5.0_05 (unsure about other versions)
    and you'll lose the minimize as well

  • NALWIN32.EXE as shell, and minimize/maximize options

    Hi
    This is a realativley simple one for Zen gurus out there!. I am using
    nalwin32.exe as the replacement shell for machines in our library. Problem
    is that to tidy things up i would like to remove the minimize and maximize
    options (grey them out).
    Is this possible with nalwin32 or do i have to use another
    nal/naldesk/nalexpld etc.
    Cheers
    Julian

  • Portlet unavailable error in Webcenter application

    I have developed a portlet application by using wsrp standand-based java portlet in the windows environment. There is no problem when I deployed the application to the preconfigured webcenter oc4j in JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0.
    But when I deployed it to the webcenter suite which is also installed in the windows, I have got portlet unavailable error.
    I have already used the predeployment tools to change the portlet url endpoint so that it points to the webcenter portlet producers.

    Have you tried deploying the portlet to the application server, consume this portlet producer in your development environment (JDeveloper), and deploy the application without re-wiring the portlet producer connection?
    This approach may take us closer to the problem.
    Also, a full stack trace would be helpful too.

  • BI portlet "Authentication error" on WebCenter

    Hi, all
    I'm trying to deploy BI reportUI portlet to WebCenter server.
    Following the introduction on BI document:
    1. Download sawjsr168portlets.war
    2. Edit portlet.xml and set oracle.bi.presentation.sawserver.URL, oracle.bi.presentation.portlets.jsr168.reportui.AdminUserName and oracle.bi.presentation.portlets.jsr168.reportui.AdminPwd
    3. Deploy the portlet to Jdevelper preconfigured OC4J successfully.
    4. Consuming BI ReportUI portlet within JSF page
    After I click "customize" of the generated "Oracle Business Intelligence Report View Portlet" and input the "report path", which is a qualified URL accessible on IE brower,
    a error displays:
    "Authentication error. Details: An invalid User Name or Password was entered."
    Check the log file and find some error message like:
    <sawsoape:Message>State: 08004. Code: 10018. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: 08004] [nQSError: 10018] Access for the requested connection is refused.
    [nQSError: 43001] Authentication failed for PUBLIC in repository Star: invalid user/password. (08004)</sawsoape:Message>
    I'm sure the admin user name and password are both set correctly in "portlet.xml" file.
    Any suggestion or help are highly appreciated! Thanks.
    regards,
    Rongrong Wang

    I was able to resolve the authentication error by securing the web center application using container based security.
    I got a report to display on my page, but was getting the below error on my server logs:

  • How to create portlet pages in oracle webcenter 11g?

    Hi all,
    currently we are using an application with oracle web portal 10g server. Is it possible to do migration all portlet pages 10g portal to 11g webcenter ?
    and please clarify how to create a portlet page in webcenter 11g?
    Regards
    Nagarajan

    Hi Nagarajan,
    In webcenter there is no concept of portlets.Here you need to have all the portlets as WSRP.
    So in a jist, you need to expose your current portlets as WSRP and the same should be consumed in webcenter portal pages.
    Hope this make things clear.

  • Portlet specific skining in webcenter

    My webcenter spaces need some 100 custom portlets in a page and my requirement is " I need to create skins in which specific portlet have specific css code"
    Is it possible to do so in webcenter ps3, jdeveloper 11.1.1.3 version (using extendedspaceswar mentioned in oracle whitepaper). ?
    please help me out regarding this issue.

    Here the example of simple html css code. I want similar result in skinning form.
    in skin1.css*
    portlet1{
    background-color:green;
    header-color:red;
    font-color:blue;
    portlet2{
    background-color:yellow;
    header-color:blue;
    font-color:red;
    in skin2.css*
    portlet1{
    background-color:brown;
    header-color:red;
    font-color:blue;
    portlet2{
    background-color:pink;
    header-color:blue;
    font-color:red;
    in that way I want that to create 10 skins. In every skin (i.e-skin1.css) all portlets css code will be there. But different skins have different set of css for every portlet.
    Your earlier post was very very helpful.
    can you please suggest another way so that my problem will be resolved.

  • Portlet maximize issue...

    In simple words i am facing this issue......
    I have a portal page whose layout have some left and right margin . I am placing the portlet in the page so its look fine but as soon as i maximaize them it crosess the layout and touches both the corner of the page.....It should be in layout only after maximizing . Did anybody face this problem in past or have some solution for it......
    Thanks in advance.....

    Are you using out of box layouts. Because any out of box layouts will already have the portlets Maximized in those particular columns. Worst case you can hide Maximize icon for the portlets. But if you still want to have Maximize button and when you maximize it, you want to restrict in the same column, do not make much sense. It is already restricted in that column full width. So please tell exactly what you want. If you want Maximize icon and still use it and still restrict the portlet to show within the column width you may need to write custom logic in framework for the code for maximize script. But I am still confused exactly what you want here.
    NOW, if you see this behavior for your custom layouts, its different. Do you have a layout with a column that like like Vertical and Horizontal FLOW and you see one portlet in that column with some empty spaces next to it....This is for horizontal flow layout...

  • Registering Discoverer Portlet Provider with JDeveloper WebCenter

    Is it possible to register DPP with JDeveloper? What kind of portlet producer is DPP, WSRP or Oracle PDK? Can anyone tell me the specific steps (i.e., what to fill in for the URL, subscriber ID, etc.)?
    Thanks,
    -warren

    You might want to ask this on the Discoverer forum.
    It depends on the type of portlet DPP is - JDeveloper can register both WSRP and PDK portlets.

  • Pass parameter FROM webcenter page TO dropped portlet

    Hi All,
    I have created a webcenter page
    I have created a ADF remote portlet
    I have regsitered the portlet as producer under webcenter page "Connection"
    I dragged the portlet on webcenter (jspx) page.
    now, my design requires that, i should be able to pass the paramter called "Country URL" that is available in webcenter page's backing bean TO this dropped portlet's SRC tag of IFRAME.
    is it possible to pass paramter FROM webcenter page's backing bean TO SRC of IFRAME inside dropped portlet ?
    If yes, the how will src refer to webcenter backing URL parameter ? ( like binding ...............)
    yhx
    dd

    The idea stays the same in WebCenter. The technique i have described above does not change when you use ADF portlets.
    There are only a few steps required:
    1) Create the parameter in portlet.xml
    2) assign the parameter to your portlet (also in portlet.xml)
    3) deploy portlet
    4) create a page parameter in webcenter on the page you are dropping the portlet on
    5) assign the page parameter to the value of the portlet parameter
    That's it.
    Notice that the link in the above post of me (from 2010) is about JSR 168 portlets. Since WebCenter PS3, webcenter supports JSR 286 and some things change like you do not need to create the parameter in the oracle-portlet.xml anymore. You can easily do this in the portlet.xml

  • BPELWorklist Portlet with WebCenter

    SOA Suite : 10.1.3.1.0
    WebCenter : 10.1.3.2.0.4066
    I am trying to develop an application in WebCenter, which should be able to display the worklist data in WebCenter application. I have followed the following steps
    Deploy bpelportlet.ear with parent application as orabpel
    Create Portlet Producer pointing to http://10.177.30.189:8888/BPELPortlet/providers (I can successfully hit this URL in browser)
    I secured my page in WebCenter and created a user in BPEL (with the same credentials). However, the JAZN files for WebCenter and BPEL are different.
    Now, when I try to run the page I get the following error - oracle.portlet.client.container.PortletHttpException: Http <unknown method> request to url http://10.177.30.189:8888/BPELPortlet/providers failed with status code 500 reason <unknown reason>.
    In BPELPortlet application logs, I get

    Hi Rajendar,
    Please let me know the stpes for consuming a BPEL worklist application into webcenter as a remote portlet.
    I have deployed the bpelportlet.ear successfully but not sure how to register the portlet producer in my webcenter application

  • Deploy jde portlets into webcenter

    can anyone enlighten us about the way to deploy JDEdwards Portlets (Self service portals) into webcenter server(weblogic),
    share if you have any docs related, it will be really helpful

    You'll have to consult some of the JDE documentation for setting up portlets, but the basic procedure should be this:
    1) Set up your JDEdwards portlets to be served - consult the JDE documentation for making portlets availble.
    2) Register the JDE portlet producer with your WebCenter application. (You'll have to do this for each environment, with a warning that you will likely need to set up secure communications between your WebCenter app / WebLogic install and your JD Edwards environment.)
    3) Once the producer is set up (both JDE and any secure communications), then registered with your WebCenter app you should be able to access the JDE portlets through the resource catalog.
    That's the basics - but there's quite a bit of work to do behind the basics. :-)

  • Automatically maximize portlet

    I'm trying to automatically maximize a portet. I've tried using the following
    code in a input processor, but it throws an exception. How should I go about
    programatically maximizing a portlet?
    RenderHelper helper = new RenderHelper();
    PageState pState = helper.getPageState(request);
    PortletIdentifier portletID = helper.getPortletIdentifier(request);
    State.setMaximizedPortlet(portletID);
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Mike,
    From one of the devs:
    See comments inline...
    RenderHelper helper = new RenderHelper();This class has all static method no need to instantiate it!
    PageState pState = helper.getPageState(request);
    PortletIdentifier portletID = helper.getPortletIdentifier(request);
    State.setMaximizedPortlet(portletID);Loking at the javadoc for "helper.getPortletIdentifier(request);"
    * Retrieve the portlet name from the HTTPServletRequest.
    * This should be placed
    * there by the rendering engine before each portlet is rendered.
    The portlet identifier is put there just before the portlet is rendered.
    Since he is calling this from an InputProcess this is not "just before the
    portlet is renders"
    If i remember correctly the portlet identifier is just the portlet name.
    (this can be verified by hovering over a link in the portlet (maximize
    button will do fine) and look at the request parameter portlet_id). Or he
    can get it from the portletState.
    The code below is the correct way to maximize a portlet.
    PortalRequest portalRequest =
    PortalAppflowFactory.getPortalRequest(request);
    PageState pageState =
    portalRequest.getPortalState().getCurrentPageState();
    PageIdentifier pageId = pageState.getPageIdentifier();
    PortletState portletState = getCurrentPortletState(request);
    PortletIdentifier portletId = portletState.getPortletIdentifier();
    if (portletState.isMaximizable())
    PortalSession portalSession =
    PortalAppflowFactory.getPortalSession(request);
    portalSession.setMaximizedPortlet(pageId, portletId);
    PortalAppflowHelper.updatePortalSession(request, portalSession);

  • Consuming webservice in webcenter spaces.

    Hi,
    Can anyone guide me that how consume any webservice in webcenter or in webcenter spaces.
    I have seen documenetaion of consuming siebel and ebusines suite webserviice by using the webcenter application.
    But i want to consume a webservice in webcenter spaces.
    If existing portlets are registered in webcenter spaces, in omniportlet there is one option of webservice, i tried that method.unfortunately that method doesn't works sine i was trying to consume a JDEE BSSV in omniportlets.
    Is there any other method to consume a webservice in webcenter spaces?
    Kindly guide me for the same.
    Thanks.
